so i'll keep this partially casual. we're all humans here :)
in xx years from now, space travel will become increasingly important to human survival on earth. this means branching out with life, inhabiting any possible planets and mining the rest for resources.
after many centuries, this became a way of life, and humans became relatively nomadic creatures, jumping from one planet to the next, destroying any celestial body they inhabited.
but this took its toll on the species, and humans began to just die off. finding planets became harder and harder as the decades flew by. hundreds of thousands of people were left to freeze to death in their ships, due to the engines running out of fuel. this was called the null era, as there were no new planets found by any of the hundreds of ships.
ending that era, one of two surviving ships finds an inhabitable planet. at this point, their were less than a dozen survivors on each ship, though neither of them had any contact with the other. three of the survivors decide to go to the planet, and scout it out for resources and shelter. upon landing with their small capsule ship, they see plants and brown dirt and a blue sky, stone ruins much like what would be seen on earth centuries ago - but no great ship. they could see it in the distance, going up and away from the planet. this is where we start.
why did the ship leave them? and where did it go? would it be back?

your character is your character and can be any gender or sexuality or race or things like that, sadly has to be human.
