Moonstar would slip out of her den, stretching leisurely before turning and leaping onto the tall root. This meeting was LONG overdue, and the silver tabby had not been blind to the sudden spike in apprentices in Thunderclan and they would all be eager for mentors. Her golden gaze would glow with authority as she called loudly,

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, join beneath the Tall Root for a clan meeting!"

She would get comfortable on her perch as she waited for her clanmates to gather below her, a small light of excitement in her gaze. Today would be a good day, she could feel it.

Featherpaw bounded into the clearing her ears perked excitedly to hear what news Moonstar had to bring in a lame track post

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, join beneath the Tall Root for a clan meeting!"

Sheepskin would be pulled out of his nest at the sound of Moonstar's voice announcing another meeting. The curly-furred warrior came to sit under the watch of the fierce molly, head tilted towards her as he waited curiously.

  • The call of the pretty leader comrade dragged Boris from his staring contest he was having with a bird that sat tittering above the center of camp. His pale green eyes narrowed as he stared up at it, he would catch that bird one day. Although jumping was never his strong suit. Perhaps he would've been better suited for the Fishclan or whatever they called themselves. He had no clue. But besides the point, Boris had a meeting or something to get to. Making himself comfortable at the back of the group he sat silently waiting for something to happen. He didn't know what this was about but he supposed he would learn.

Littlebird quietly padded outside of the warriors den to join the slowly gathering cats just beside the tall root.

Her evergreen eyes gazing up at the leader as she walked, curious as to of what the leader had to say. She guessed it had something to do with the all of the apprentices that ThunderClan had.

The fluffy she-cat eventually situated herself next to Boris who seemed to be watching a small bird that sat above their heads a good distance.

"Keeping an eye on him?" She meowed jokingly with a small smile.

BUT BABE YOU'VE GOT TO GROW THEM!

  • SOMEONE TOSS ME A ROPE —

Stormpaw shook out his long fur before approaching the growing crowd of cats around the tall root. He stepped carefully around those already seated, finally taking a seat near Sheepskin. He wondered what the meeting would be about, hypothesizing that it probably had to do with the large amount of apprentice-aged cats in the clan. One day soon enough he'd be out of that group and he'd take his place among the warriors of the clan. Not yet, but soon. With that thought in mind a small smile etched itself on his face as he directed his attention to Moonstar.

"It has come to my attention, the sudden increase we have of apprentices." Her voice would ring out through the clearing, catching the attention of any stragglers as she began the meeting, "Today, after careful consideration, I believe I have found mentors for all of you." She would scan the clearing as she rehearsed the names once more in her mind before speaking, "Starlingpaw, Stonecloud will be your mentor. I expect her to pass all she knows onto you. Twilightpaw, Laureltwist shall be your mentor, may she pass on her skills onto you. Acornpaw, Bearmask will be your mentor. Birchpaw, Keitana will be your mentor." She would take a brief moment in pause, as there were to be many named this evening, before continuing, "Mothpaw, Sheepskin will mentor you. Dustpaw, you will be taught by Cinderheart." Finally she would turn her attention to one apprentice in particular, "Stormpaw, Your warrior ceremony is soon coming, and with two moons left in training, Rosewater will observe how far you have come and teach you what you have left to learn."

She would sit up a little straighter as she meowed clearly, "May Starclan look down on all of the forenamed apprentices, may you grant them each a clear mind to learn and respect your code Until the day comes that they earn their warrior names."

    [♀] Deerleap - 23 moons - Young Warrior [♀]

➢➢➢ Deerleap was leaned up against the warriors' den when she heard her leader's voice call out to the Clan, hoping to gain the attention of all her Clanmates. Deerleap's green eyes flashed over towards Tall Root, where stood Moonstar ready to make her announcement. Seeing her Clanmates gather to hear the news, Deerleap sigh and started to pad over herself, seeing as her brother was way ahead of her on that track.

    [♂] Silverbud - 24 moons - Warrior [♂]

➢➢➢ Silverbud was near the fresh-kill pile when Moonstar made her calling known to the Clan. His chilling, light blue eyes shifted over to the fierce feline who stood, waiting patiently for her subjects to accept her request of an audience. The slender tomcat circled around and started making his way towards Tall Root. His attention spent a second noticing his sister, Deerleap lounging behind the warriors' den before they flickered onto Littlebird who was teasing Boris. A smile stretched across the tomcat's face as he padded towards her.

Taking a seat beside Littlebird, he followed her line of sight up to the small bird fluttering about. "Littlebird watching a little bird, how adorable." he chuckled, nudging her a bit.

    [♂] Birchpaw - 6 moons - Young Apprentice of Keitana [♂]

➢➢➢ Having only recently been taken to ThunderClan by Stonecloud and Littleflame, Birchpaw was unsure to why a large group of the members were filing in to listen to one cat speak. He cocked his head to the side with confusion but followed them with interest.

When the feline who was named Moonstar spoke about the apprentices and mentors, Birchpaw was pleased to hear his name being announced. He had a mentor! Excitement filled the young tomcat's eyes as he searched around for the cat who held the name Keitana.

    Keitana

    [♂] Dustpaw - 6 moons - Young Apprentice of Cinderheart [♂] tags.

➢➢➢ Dustpaw had only recently been taken into ThunderClan along with his siblings. He still was unfamiliar with the ways of the Clan, but he had had some interactions with some of the cats already. He had met Duskberry, Starlingpaw, Boris and Caramelkit already and they seemed nice.

When Dustpaw heard his name being called by Moonstar, his eyes brightened. He had a mentor! He felt like a member of the Clan now that he had a mentor to train him. His eyes searched around for the cat who bore the name Cinderheart.

    HAREKIT.

    [♂] Mothpaw - 6 moons - Young Apprentice of Sheepskin [♂] tags.

➢➢➢ Mothpaw hadn't had much experience speaking with any of the cats of ThunderClan yet, unlike Dustpaw and Acornpaw. The long-haired, blue tomcat waited patiently, curious to know what the one she-cat had to say.

Mothpaw was shocked when he heard his name being said by Moonstar. His eyes glowed up to her and then down at his paws. He perked his ears in case someone were to say his name. Who is Sheepskin? he wondered to himself.

    sheepskin.

    [♀] Acornpaw - 6 moons - Young Apprentice of Bearmask [♀] tags.

➢➢➢ Acornpaw was eager to hear what the feline had to say. She had already interacted with some of the members of ThunderClan like Sheepskin, Thistleskip, Stonecloud, Littleflame, Starlingpaw and Stormpaw. She knew the name of the cat speaking too! Her name was Moonstar and she was the leader of ThunderClan.

Determination filled the young she-cat's eyes when she heard Moonstar announce who her mentor was going to be. Flexing her claws to detain her excitement, Acornpaw sat up tall and proud, stretching out her neck to try to pinpoint which warrior held the name Bearmask.

The tawny she-cat looked over at Silverbud when he sat down beside her and gave him a smile, "yeah, just helping Boris out I guess." Littlebird meowed quietly, her ears flattening against her head shyly as she chuckled.

"It's amazing to me how quickly all of these kits seem to be growing. It feels like it was just yesterday that they were bouncing around the nursery" The fluffy warrior meowed, looking towards the Tall Root, "I remember my apprentice ceremony. I was so nervous and excited that I ran right into my mentor." She added with a purr as she looked back to the silver tom.

BUT BABE YOU'VE GOT TO GROW THEM!

  • SOMEONE TOSS ME A ROPE —

Hearing his name called, Stormpaw flicked his ears forward and straightened up, listening carefully. Ah, a new mentor! The young tom felt a small twinge of happiness, something that didn't happen often. Looking around for Rosewater, he turned a brief glance to Moonstar. "Thank you, Moonstar." he said simply in thanks, dipping his head for a moment before going back to scanning the area for his new mentor.

  • Although Littleflame had been sitting on the edges of the nursery initially, hearing Moonstar call out the name of a trusted cat as a mentor set her paws into high gear. Eyes alight with excitement, the tiny bengal bounded away from the nursery and struggled to see over her cloud of clanmates, going up on her toes in a futile attempt to spot him. Then she spotted a flash of white fur, and a patch of a curly flank, and she spotted her target. Finally pushing through many legs and chests with a few murmured apologies, she burst through the wall of obstacles to reach Sheepskin's side. She gently nudged his leg with a smile on her face. "Hey, you've got yourself an apprentice!" she chattered, eyes wide. "That's so exciting! I'm happy for you!"

"LOOKIN FOR A LITTLE BIT OF HOPE THESE DAYS" & TAGS

  • Caramelkit couldn't wait until she become a warrior, until she got to go up and receive her name, she got excited just thinking about it. The small fluffy kit sat near the nursery, her tail twitching in envy as she watched on. They were one step closer to becoming warriors while she sat back and forced to watch, it was agonising. "Good luck you guys!"

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ The announcements of apprentices getting mentors started and Sheepskin wasn't expecting his name to be called. He had been in Thunderclan for a little while now, but he didn't think he was ready yet, though Moonstar must've thought differently. When he heard his name called, that he was apprenticing Mothpaw, his breath caught in his throat and his eyes looked like the bluest of full moons. "T-Thank you, Moonstar." His eyes started to search for his new apprentice.

The voice and nudge of Littleflame startled the tom a little bit, Sheepskin turning his head to give the smaller molly a little, dramatic eye roll and nudging her back with the tip of his muzzle "Thanks, L-Littleflame. I'm...gonna go t-try and find Mothpaw, I'll f-find you later and we can t-talk?"

  • Cinderheart hadn't thought about getting an apprentice before. She had learned all that she could from her old mentor. She had learned from the old leader, Blackstar. The half-blind warrior looked around for her new apprentice. She hoped that she could teach this apprentice something. "Hello there Dustpaw. I am Cinderheart." She lowered her head down to touch noses with her apprentice. Then she turned to Moonstar, nodding. "Thank you Moonstar."

Blinking a little in surprise, Rosewater felt anxiety spike in her chest for a moment. She was already trying to balance Shimmerpaw's training alongside keeping her secrets about Puddle, and now she was being given another apprentice? The little calico supposed it couldn't be helped, since the balance of apprentices to warriors was so off these days, but she still felt a little shaky as Rosewater wove through the crowd to find Stormpaw. The apprentice was essentially finished training, so Rosewater reassured herself that it would be okay, that Stormpaw would be understanding if Rosewater wasn't as amazing as hoped. Finally finding the apprentice, Rosewater tipped her head up to touch noses with the younger feline, her short stature putting her below the height of most of the Clan. Outsiders looking on might think her the apprentice and Stormpaw the mentor.

    "don't you mind?"

  • Laureltwist was...shocked, to say the least. Not upset - not quite - but shocked. She hadn't been consulted on this matter, Moonstar hadn't approached her and asked if she was ready. Laureltwist had only become a warrior last moon, and was still very much learning the ropes of everything within the Clan herself. And now she was being given an apprentice? It seemed unfair - to both Laureltwist and Twilightpaw. The young cat deserved to have a mentor who was confident in what they were doing, not someone like Laureltwist who barley knew the difference between what she had been doing as Laurelpaw and what was now expected of her as Laureltwist.

Regardless, the lithe grey tabby wasn't going to say anything now, in front of the whole Clan, but maybe she could resolve this later, in private. For now, she supposed she had to go find Twilightpaw.
