  • Awesome! Amara is the NPC leader of the Drotik Task Force, and she’s very stern but she has a gentler side which comes out around children or when she’s rescuing others. Think big strict older sister type. Her background is mysterious, but she is easily the most powerful member of Drotik with the ability to manipulate matter. Early on in the plot she disappears, sending the rest of the force into a frenzy searching for a new leader. Any ideas for who might step up as the leader after she disappears?

PS I’m about to move my unit again so I won’t have more computer time for at least four or five hours. Talk to y’all later :)

  • I’d love for Amara to have a close relationship with Max or Marcus, that would create an interesting dynamic for later! I was thinking that Charlie really looks up to her, as she was the first rational person on the Soviet side which he met when he was whisked away by the Russians.

  • I’m down for some angst between Charlie and one of the high risk kids once they have to dorm together, anyone interested? The standards have hardly ever met except in passing and during rescue missions, maybe some are either jealous of their powers or grateful to not be quarantined.

  • Bravenight I was thinking for a bit of drama that Kyle and Tyne could have a little thing, then end up with some girl drama between Ivy and Tyne and it could make Kyle really confused and not know what to do?

if anyone is looking for a hot beach boy to rp with Marcus is your guy haha.

  • Hey everyone! Real quick quick in case there is any confusion, I just wanna clarify that Drotik’s camp is in Los Angeles and the roleplay starts with the kids racing to the bottom of their local sinkhole, called the “Drotik Dwarf”. Dwarf sinkholes are under 500m deep (which is still deeper than any current sinkhole on earth) and they’re multi-layered. The objective of the mission for the kids now is to reach the bottom of the sinkhole then come back up to the surface unharmed within six hours. If they succeed in this, they’ll take on Fort Worth’s Red Giant.

Also I might add a rules section to the signups so it’ll clear up the extent of the kids’ powers in the roleplay.

  • updownandaround i think it'd be real funny to have marcus and skippy sort of screw around together during the mission perhaps? it seems the both of them don't realy care about much to begin with, and then maybe something goes wrong and they have to use teamwork to get through in order to be upstaged to the Red Giant in Fort Worth?

  • That's a fun take, maybe they usually never give a crap about the mission or rescue but then during one of their missions they witness something particularly jarring or gruesome that changed their mind about their job? Or they could just continue their banter because they're so used to seeing dead bodies and carnage...

  • Sure!

Sinkholes have three layers. Dwarf sinkholes only tend to have the first two.

Layer 1: Most debris and victims is found here. Half-sunken houses, old pieces of stuff that's practically unrecognizable, several mangled creatures from the radiation, and a lot of cracked sidewalks. The goal here is usually to save as many people as possible and navigate the difficult terrain.

Layer 2: The sinkhole drops very steeply and less stuff starts showing up. There are more people affected by radiation, and few of which are at the point of saving. The deeper you go into layer 3, the harder it is to see anything and the atmosphere becomes heavy and pitch-black. Radiation poisoning will result in extreme headaches, nausea, and delirious visions, so anti-radiation suits are worn as a precautionary measure. Little can live in layer 2.

Layer 3: A complete mystery. No one's exited Layer 2 and lived to tell the tale. Some say that the drop there is completely straight down to the bottom, but everyone who's hit the bottom of a sinkhole with a third layer has never been able to come back up sane and in one piece.
