Arthur took a few more sips of Gatorade, he was finally feeling better now that he had something to eat and drink. He started to eat from the bag of chips that Alexander had gotten for him, he always preferred salt and vinegar flavored chips. He nibbles on me, at least it wasn’t hospital food. He took a glance at Alexander, still worried about him. “M...Maybe you should get some rest.” He suggested to Alexander. Arthur wanted Alexander to get better soon... even when Arthur would be able to come home, he would need help getting around, and he was sure there would be permanent scarring on the areas where he had been shot.

Alexander hadn’t expected for the other male to speak up and notice what all he was saying. “Hm? I don’t want to leave you though. I-I don’t think I would be able for eat here either.” He rambled out. He knew that he couldn’t argue with him on it though. Arthur would want him to try and get as healthy as he could. He doubted it would be easy for him though. He had taken hold of his hand once again, unable to help himself. He just was holding onto it gently. “I love you. You do know they right?” He asked hopefully. He would feel terrible if he didn’t say that before he left.
-
Arthur looked at Alexander and he held onto his hand in return, feeling comforted by holding onto his husband’s hand. In all honesty, Arthur did not want Alexander to leave him here, but at the same time he wanted Alexander to get some rest and focus on feeling better. He hoped Alexander would be slowly feeling better by the time he would be coming home from the hospital. He somewhat doubted that though. “I know that, and I love you too.” Arthur said as he continued to hold onto Alexander's hand, feeling relaxed by it. Arthur wished Alexander could spend the night in the hospital but Arthur did also want Alexander to go home and rest whilst taking care of the pets.
-
Alexander slowly let go of his hand after he finally stood up. He clearly wasn’t wanting to leave the other male and it showed on his expression. “I’ll see you first thing in the morning. I don’t care if I don’t feel good or not. I will always be here for you.” He reassured. He hoped that he would be able to get himself out do bed. Whenever he did get sick, he usually was unable to. A soft sound left his lips. He kissed his forehead one more time and then made his way home. He only had the energy left to get himself into bed. Even when he woke up the next morning, he didn’t have enough energy to get up.
-
Arthur was upset that Alexander had to leave, he wanted to go with him but he knew that he could not. Arthur just hoped that things would go back to normal between them, and that Alexander would be better soon. Arthur had finished off his Gatorade, feeling hydrated and he finished off his chips... feeling satisfied for now. Arthur watched as Alexander let go of his hand and he watched him leave. Arthur knew he would just have to sleep his anxiety about Alexander leaving off. Arthur decided to sleep, hoping Alexander would come again. He slept... having difficulty though as he could not get comfortable without causing pain in his ankle. Arthur managed to get some sleep and he woke up the next morning, feeling sluggish and his ankle throbbed painfully. It was still bruised and he felt a little miserable but he was hoping that Alexander would come see him again.
-
Alexander couldn’t only find it in himself to get out of bed after about five hours. He knew that he had a fever and it was only getting worse. It was even worse then the last time that he had gotten sick. He knew they he wouldn’t be able to drive himself they say. He just got a taxi ride there. He managed to get into the room with a lot of trouble. He took a seat down beside his bed again. He couldn’t speak. It wasn’t hard to see that it had gotten much worse overnight. He just weakly reaches forward to carefully take his hand. He managed to lace their fingers together weakly.
-
Arthur had felt miserable, he refused to eat anything and he just wanted Alexander to be here with him. He wanted to go home - he was feeling homesick and he was starting to tear up at the thought of him now becoming homesick. Arthur slept some more until he felt a hand on his. Arthur slowly opened his eyes, blinking away sleep and he turned his head to look at Alexander. He could see that his husband was getting worse and it made him highly worried now. Arthur felt a few tears roll down his cheeks and he started to squeeze Alexander's hand almost tightly but he kept his grip and squeeze firm.
-
Alexander looked down at their hands for a few moments, trying to hold onto his hand as tightly as he could. His gripe as growing weaker though. “I-I feel really bad. I-It is getting worse.” He whispered. His skin was pale and it was easy to see that he was sweating still. He adjusted some in his seat, letting out some groans. “I-I’m sorry Art. If something happens, I’m sorry for everything. I love you.” He mumbled. He had never had said that before. That is how he knew it was bad. He knew he might just have to get checked into the hospital as well. Some coughs left his lips. A few more groans followed.
-
Arthur's chest was starting to ache with anxiety. "Please Alexander, I don't want to lose you, I'm scared." Arthur was begging him, his grip on Alexander's hand starting to tighten. He was scared of what was going to happen to Alexander, it made him anxious. Arthur didn't want to have an anxiety attack right now, he had to keep himself calm or else he might get too anxious. Arthur blinked, letting a few more tears fall down his cheeks. Arthur moved to adjust on the bed but of course he felt pain in his bruised and slightly swollen broken ankle with hurt. "I think you need to at least let a doctor check you out and see what's wrong." Arthur insisted.
-
Alexander slowly turned his head to look towards the other male. His eyes were starting to glaze over by that point. “I-I don’t want to leave you either.” He mumbled. Since there were so many germs in Japan, his body wasn’t able to try and fight it off like it normally did. “Don’t cry.” He added on. He closed his eyes for a few moments, trying to calm himself down some more. “I-I can’t get up. Can you call a doctor in here? Please?” He begged some then. He was unable to help himself at the moment. Arthur was usually his help too and he was stuck in a hospital bed.
-
Arthur elicited a hiccup, eyes glossed with tears that were making their way down his cheeks. He used his hand to wipe away his tears, he was so scared that he was going to lose Alexander to some kind of illness. He managed to get his breathing under control after a few minutes of hiccuping and hyperventilating. He was on edge that Alex would get worse and worse, he hoped the hospital could do something about it. Arthur inhaled a deep breath, nodding his head quickly, and then he quickly called for a doctor.
-
A nurse quickly came into the room when Arthur had explained everything. She gasped when she saw how terrible the other male looked. She immediately called for more people to come in and help get Alexander into a bed. They soon rolled his from the room. Someone stuck behind to ask the other male some questions. “Do you know what exactly happened? Were you out of country any time recently? We just end to try and help him the best that we can.” She asked softly. She knew it was prob alt upsetting to the other male continued but she was trying her hardest to be kind to him about it. It was clear she was nervous about this though.
-
Arthur bit down on his lip and then he opened his mouth to speak. "Well um... Alexander does have a weak immune system and he's been looking oddly pale and sweaty since yesterday." He started to explain. "And, we got back from Japan yesterday, he's been feeling off I think since we got back." Arthur added on, hoping something could be done to help Alexander, he did not want to lose him. Arthur guessed that Alexander picked something up while they were in Japan, he just did not know what exactly. Arthur tried to keep his composure as he explained everything.
-
The nurse listened carefully to everything that she was told. She began to run through some of the possibilities of what it could be in her mind. She slowly nodded her head. “Okay, thank you. I will let you know any updates when I get them.” She informed. “Just try to stay as calm as you can right now. He will be okay.” She clearly didn’t believe that herself, but she was trying to make him feel better. She quickly walked off then. It was hours before someone came back into the room. “We have no clue what is affecting him. The good news is that we have gotten him as stable as he is going to be.” She spoke gently.
-
Arthur wanted to believe that Alexander was going to be okay, he hoped he would. And he was focusing on remaining calm and composed once the nurse had left. The next few hours were miserable for Arthur as he wasn't sure how Alexander was doing, he wanted to see Alexander but he was confined to his bed and he could not even walk. Arthur laid in the bed, trying to sleep off his worry. But he felt restless and could not sleep and get some rest. Arthur felt anxious, his chest aching with anxiety as he waited for someone to come into the room. When the nurse came into the room, he was upset that they didn't know what was affecting Alexander, but he was at least happy to hear that Alexander was stable. He looked at the nurse and he nodded his head.
-
The nurse was clearly trying to be as polite as she could. She didn’t want to cause him anymore distress than he was already feeling. “We will keep letting you know. The good news is that you are getting repressed tomorrow morning. You can go and spend your time with him then. He is on the other side of the hospital.” She informed. She knew that would probably be a comforting thought to him. “Is there anything that I can get you right now? Do you want anything to eat?” She inquired. She knew that they hadn’t give him anything. She did see bags of cups sitting around though. She figured he must’ve had those.
-
Arthur knew it would be a long day for him... He wanted to go see Alexander now but he decided against it. He looked at the nurse and he shook his head. "No, I don't need anything right now... I'm fine." Arthur said, he had lost his appetite from feeling anxious and he wasn't really thirsty either. Arthur just wanted to curl up and sleep until he could see Alexander. He missed holding his hand with Alexander's hand, he was anxious without him. Arthur wasn't really tired but there wasn't really anything to do except sleep in bed. His ankle was slightly swollen but the swelling was going down a little.
-
The nurse was clearly watching him with sympathy in her eyes. “Okay. If you need anything, just hit the call button.” She stated. She then walked out from the room. Alexander was rather doped up on all of the medicines that they had given him to try and help with it all. He still felt rather terrible though. He just wanted to be next to his husband again. Arthur was the onto one who could help him feel better though this. Despite not being the happier with him before, he still loved him with everything in him. He didn’t know what he would do without him.
-
Arthur watched the nurse leave. He tried to not focus on being worried about Alexander, hoping he would be okay. Arthur did not want it to bother him too much and he wanted to sleep off his nervousness and anxiety. He did really hope that Alexander would be getting better soon, he wanted things to be back to normal between them, and he hoped Alexander was not still upset with him as that would just make him anxious. Arthur managed to sleep for most of the day, waking up a few times before going back to sleep to pass the day as he waited for the next day to come.
-
A different nurse came in first thing that morning to help Arthur get ready to go. They got him some crutches and made sure that he had all of the medication he was going to need. She then led the way to Alexander’s room. He was barely awake by that point. He really could not help it. He still was feeling bad. At least he was looking better though. He slowly turned his head to look towards his husband then. “A-Art?” He managed to mumble out. His expression furrowed as he let our s frown before his eyes shut for s moment. They only opened again for focus more in the other male.
