Today was the day! Their first meet up for quite awhile and not only that Minkpaw would finally be able to teach Mantisflower a few things about what shes learned over the course of two moons. Rosevenom hadn't seemed to be around all that much anymore... she didn't know where her mentor had gone but maybe she was still around somewhere? Anyways she found herself talking to Hawkpaw mostly now when she had a question about something, she couldn't help but admire the tom sometimes... He always made her so happy even during darker and more stressful times. Minkpaw couldn't admit to herself though that perhaps she... was beginning to think of the fellow medicine cat apprentice as anything more then a friend. That perhaps that her feelings towards him was what cats would call a "crush". But she couldn't admit to herself that. For starters it was breaking the code. She was a medicine cat. Not only that... but Hawkpaw was too. It sounded like something out of a story.
Star crossed lovers.
Ew... Minkpaw stop. She didn't even know why she was thinking about this, she didn't have any feelings for the tom aside from thinking about him as a really good friend. Really that was it! For some reason as she was approaching fourtrees she found herself embarrassing herself by her own thoughts... Almost as if she had spoken them out loud.
Forget it. Forget it. She was here to help Mantisflower with his passion! Once she arrived she set down the bundle of herbs in her maw and awaited for the tom to make an appearance. She was so excited to see her best friend again!

It was pretty rough after Wheatbell's death. Mantisflower still couldn't get used to the emptiness that was now there, once occupied by his siblings bond. It made him feel sick, at times, when he found himself focusing on it. What was he meant to do? Just let it hang there? Just ignore it?
How was he supposed to ignore the feeling of your closest sibling being gone? Ignore the feeling that was once part of you?
Mantis found himself even missing the chest ache.
He'd suffer moons more lung pain if it meant he could have his sister back.
Ah, but Mantisflower was aware of how silly that was. She was gone, buried between her homes. He'd have to wait until his own end before he managed to see her again. Starclan he hoped, he hoped so horribly that she'd be there.
The short tom's brooding had found him at the edge of Fourtrees.
Now wasn't the time to be brooding, now was the time for learning. Wheatbell's death, and Butterfly's leg had only pushed his desire to learn more. He couldn't let his family suffer anymore.
Slipping through the shadows his ears perked as he saw his tall friend.
"Minkpaw! Hello!"

Excitement pricked in her paws when she heard the rustling of leaves within the distance, could it be... yes! As her friend emerged from the shadows that surrounded fourtrees a large smile would tug at her lips, "H-Hey!" She chirps a greeting before she moves a cinnamon paw to the side of her and pats at the ground, signaling for the tom to come forth and sit down next to her. Her working ear would give off a small twitch, did she have anything she wanted to discuss with him before hand? She didn't think anything new had happened recently... well besides the whole Stormfeather situation and her kits but... she wanted to leave the frightening story for another day. "H-How are y-you?" She decides to ask with a small tilt of her head. She hoped all was well within SkyClan, they were known to be generally peaceful though so she doubted much had happened. But still, you never know. Change was all over the place.
"Anyways... I brought s-some herbs with me so you can learn them and what not. Both w-what they look like and smell like so you can find them." She explains with a soft smile, while she had been waiting for the tom she had already spread them out so they were easier to examine and look at. She had decided today to start with the herbs she knew best, ones that helped with mental health and what not. They'd start of strong and then she'd teach Mantisflower what she had learned about the others as their sessions carried on.
But she did have a few basic things like chervil, poppy seeds and cobwebs with her. She wouldn't be shocked if Mantis had already learned a bit about them though previously, they were the most basic you could get after all.
