THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

ever since her and father had passed, morninglight had been made leader by the current priests of the clan. she didn't understand why they had chosen her, perhaps it was because she appeared confident, or perhaps it was because she was able to act like she was okay. to be fair, morninglight didn't see any flaws with the way she was running her clan, perhaps she ran off a bit too much, but it was only to avoid snapping at her fellow clanmates' but surely they noticed the way her moods changed, or her various moments of highs and lows, but if she wasn't being questioned now, she was sure she would never be questioned and would continue to run the clan her way since they've seemed to accept that.

currently, at this moment the first rays of light were starting to enter the territory, and whenever the sun was awake morninglight was also awake. perhaps this is why her parents had named her morningkit. but morninglight had not been awake since the sun had risen, no, sometimes morninglight would rise early, simply because her mind would not let her rest. she was constantly thinking about what the day would bring, would the neighboring clans finally impose war on them, would one of her warriors attempt to overthrow her, would today be a good day? all these thoughts caused anxiety to bubble deep inside morninglight as she dug her claws into the camps soil. no, take it one day at a time mo. she thought as if it were that easy to stop the various intrusive thoughts that she would have to deal with on a manic day.

  • Yellow eyes stared in tired exhaustion as a long black tom made his way outside of the fighters den. As always, Blackarch was one of the few warriors up early. Opening his maw wide for a yawn, the tom smacked his gums before licking them, beginning to see what options there was to do. However, most would be pretty weary when approaching him. The fighter was never in a good mood first thing in the morning. Speaking of the time, the mainecoon's yellow eyes shifted over to the leaders' den, curious if he could spot the slender molly outside her den as per usual. Black nose twitching, the fluffy tom cat plopped down, stretching his body and beginning to groom his long coat.

Giving another long yawn, he shook out his freshly groomed coat. His eyes went over the sparkling snow that piled up in the camp, remaining still as a bitter wind blew through the camp, ruffling up his coat. Swishing his tail, the tom tilted his head up, watching the clouds move across the frosty blue sky.

(big boi black is open for interactions!)

  • Duskberry slowly opened her eyes and glanced out of the entrance of the warriors den, she lifted her head and let out a small yawn as she stood up from her nest and made her way out of the den. As she padded out of the den she had come to a stop near the entrance and stretched her front legs in the morning sun. She looked around the snowy camp of the clan and noticed that Blackarch had already awoken as had Nectarcloud, She gave Blackarch a good morning nod before padding over and sitting next to the other tom "Morning Nectarcloud. This cold seems harsher this morning than it has been lately." she meowed, in a half joking half bored tone.

Leopardpaw lay in her nest and watched a few of the warriors gather and share tongues with each that morning, although she wanted to continue her training for the day she hated the snow and how it bout froze her toes. She sat up in her nest and gave a long sigh before padding out of the den to look for her mentor. The dusty brown marbled tabby looked down at the snow that covered the ground of camp and kicked up a bit it detest.

now was around the time that most cats in the clan started to wake up, morninglight was grateful that no other warriors woke up earlier, if they had they might have realized just how early the tall, lanky leader actually wakes up, and she didn't want to be questioned. she spotted a few fighters coming out of the fighters den. blackarch, duskberry, and nectarcloud. her heart swirled a little at the sight of blackarch, but she didn't know why. she always felt as though he didn't like her, it almost felt like he thought he owed her something, but she didn't know what. nor was she going to ask him, she didn't want to get into a fight with her fighters. hesitantly, she hopped down onto the ground, winching as soon as her paws hit the cold floor of the winter territory. she was sure the sun's rays would warm up the camp soon enough, after all that was why they chose this area as the winter's territory.

as soon as the first rays of morning had reached the entrance of the fighters den, nectarcloud had opened his eyes and risen to his feet slowly, careful not to disturb the fighters around him. he figured he could do his stretching outside, seeing as he was a rather big tom, he didn't want to accidentally bump into any cat. slowly and cautiously, nectarcloud slowly made his way to the entrance, breathing in the scent of the camp, he noticed morninglights scent. she was always up before any of the other cats but when questioned always avoided it, he could sense her anxiety, was she planning something today? another scent had reached his nose. duskberry. he felt some sort of pity for her and what had happened to her friend, but never talked to her about it as he didn't want to overstep any boundaries.

oh, yes. looks we must be entering the harsh part of bare-leaf soon. he meowed, thank god morninglight moved us into this territory when she did.

  • "Misguided Ghosts, traveling endlessly."

    Wolfpaw/ Roseclan & Priest Apprentice/ Male [β™‚] / interacting with: open

*:ο½₯゚✦ The young apprentice was curled tightly into himself. If observed closer, cats would see he was shivering. After all, Wolfpaw didn't have a proper coat like other cats, his pelt thin and short hairs, not to mention his face and exposed paws. Winter was always tough, and there was no doubt he would come down with a sickness. That scared him; after all he didn't want the others to think he was more of a burden, wasting medicine for a runt such as himself. Those thoughts were pushed away, as he decided trying to still sleep was useless. The night was restless, and he let out a large yawn as he stumbled to his paws. The chilling air took him by surprise, but he pushed out of the den, and gazed around the camp. taking note of the cats awakening to the new day, keeping quiet, as he searched for something.

    "Speech."

  • THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

lynxpaw was never a fan of mornings, in fact the young apprentice usually never woke up until noon, she was literally the last cat of the clan to awaken. but today felt a little different, she had woken up early, she knew for a fact it wasn't because she was cold, her fur was long and thick, providing extra warmth to her during bare-leaf. she guessed it was just one of those days where she would've awaken early, something that rarely happened. scoffing lightly, lynxpaw rose to her paws, shaking off the clumps of moss that littered her fur. she didn't really care about waking up other apprentices, she just wanted to get out of this den and out into the open where the rays of sun were.

once outside, the only other apprentice lynxpaw noticed awake was wolfpaw. it beat talking to the fighters, and the mess that was her leader. hesitantly, lynxpaw approached the young apprentice. she didn't really care about that his apprentice was a bit odd compared to the other apprentices, she wasn't in a position to judge she felt. hey.. wolfpaw. she meowed as she approached him.

it's like I wrote every note

  • Duskberry gave a small nod in agreement to Nectarcloud's last comment "Yeah. I guess we are pretty lucky." She meowed as her gaze moved over to Morninglight. Her gaze faltered on the she cat for a moment longer before looking over to the apprentices who were awake, Leopardpaw and her thick furred sister Lynxpaw along with the young tom Wolfpaw, she wondered what it's like being a priest's apprentice but she was more than happy with being a fighter for the clan. Duskberry glanced over at Nectarcloud "Maybe if Morninglight doesnt have anything patrols organized yet I think I'm going to ask to be put onto a hunting patrol. You know, to get a head of the prey." She meowed.

Leopardpaw's ears twitched as she listened to her clan members conversations, but not necessarily paying attention. She noticed her sister speaking with the priest apprentice Wolfpaw and grinned, although she was a bit shorter she was still the oldest and did occasionally enjoy making sure she was doing enough to take care of herself. The dusty brown marbled tabby padded over to Lynxpaw and Wolfpaw and sat down "Hey Lynxpaw, Wolfpaw." She meowed warmly to the two other apprentices.

  • Nodding in greeting to his fellow fighters, the tom flicked his tail. Feeling eyes on him, he shifted his sharp gaze towards the leader's den, his yellow stare locking on the molly that held the position as their leader. A near quiet hum left him as he stood up, his large bushy coat doing well to protect him from the cold of this bareleaf. Finally approaching her den, he cleared his throat. "Good day Morninglight." He greeted politely, scanning over her appearance. There was no doubt, their leader was one of the many beautiful shes that populated their clan, but he still knew his place. She wasn't just a normal fighter, she was their leader, the cat, he'd be ready to risk his life for if it came down to it. "I take it you rested well?" He added after a moment. He didn't want to waste her time, so he would merely make the small talk quick, before going to ask on the morning's patrols.

  • THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

oh. morninglight thought as she watched the large dark tom make his way over to her, her fluffy tail moving from side to side, a nervous habit she had. morning blackarch. she greeted quietly, morninglight was probably one of the quietest leaders roseclan had seen, she was obviously able to project her voice when needed, but when she was talking one on one with the members of her clan she figured she didn't need to be that loud. i-i slept alright i guess. she didn't dare mention the fact that she had woken up early. while her symptoms were very obvious, mo was not a cat to talk about her disorder out in the open, for she feared that the disorder would make her clanmates' think she was unfit as a leader. what if decided to overthrow her? again, her claws found a way into the soil as her tail laid at her side, twitching slightly. how did you sleep? she asked through gritted teeth.

morninglight rises very early i'm sure to plan her days. nectarcloud was very aware of her diagnosis but kept to himself, he had heard the priests talking about it and how mo was the first leader to have a mood disorder, or any real disorder. but he thought she handled it pretty well, she didn't let it stop her from being a highrank in the clan. a hunting patrol would be nice though. he turned his attention over to the freshkill pile. a few pieces of prey laid in the freshkill pile however he knew that morninglight liked to keep the freshkill pile extra full during the season of bare-leaf, if she doesn't have any patrols set up i think i may ask if i can lead a border patrol. they hadn't been in this territory for over over 6 moons, he was sure that the roseclan scent was dull by now and many of the neighboring clans here had probably snuck into this territory to do whatever they wanted. maybe he would propose to the leader that she should send a few cats over to the winter territory in order to keep their scent strong.

lynxpaw's tail lashed, turning her face over to her sister as she let out a small mew. goodmorning leopardpaw. she greeted, she almost waited for her older sister to make a comment about how she was awake at this hour, but wasn't too fussed about it as she turned her attention back to wolfpaw. after all this was the cat that lynxpaw walked over to talk too.

it's like I wrote every note

  • Leopardpaw stood from where she was sitting and stretched her front legs, claws unsheathing and kneading the fresh snow. She looked over at Lynxpaw with a wide smile "Hey, since your actually up early maybe Morninglight will send us on a patrol together! It's been a while since we've gone on a patrol together, hasn't it?" She meowed hopefully to Lynxpaw. As much as she did enjoy spending time with her sister but her main goal would be to see how good of a hunter she was. She knew her parents like seeing herself and her siblings progress in their training.

Duskberry thought for a moment before looking over at Morninglight, she then looked over at Nectarcloud "It seems like she is preoccupied at the moment with Blackarch. Maybe I ought to wait for her to finish." She meowed to the tom. The fighter she cat may be fairly confident but she has never been comfortable with interrupting the leader when they were in the process of.speaking with other clan mates. Her light ginger tail flicking back and forth, dusting up some light snow as she waited for the leader to finish her conversation.

  • Suspicioun and curiosity clouded the tom's expressions at the sudden shift in behaviors. "I slept as well as I could." He stated in response, continuing to watch her odd change and behavior. "Is there something wrong Morninglight?" The question slipped out of his maw before he could stop himself. This was suppose to be a quick conversation, he almost berated himself. But he couldn't deny the spark of concern that seeded itself in his chest. Clearly, she was upset over something, and if it was something he did, he'd like to know to remedy his mistake.

  • || FLUTTERPAW || INTERACTING WITH: mentions LYNXPAW strwberi. ||

❀❀ flutterpaw was never one to wake early, not unless some other cat prodded her awake and forced her to her paws. today was one of those unfortunate days where flutterpaw just had to get up early, though, not at the doing of any of her clanmates for once. today is was the nip in the air that startled her awake, and once those soft blue eyes were open, there was no going back to sleep. and even with all that extra insulation, flutterpaw just couldn't find a warm enough position to lay in. so she decided to just get up now. yawning, she arose, making her way out of the den and into the even colder camp awaiting her. her glance was caught on lynxpaw for a moment longer than flutterpaw would have liked. god, that stupid little bully looked so cute today, and flutterpaw hated it, because she hated talking to lynxpaw these days. not that she really cared how annoying she thought she was, mainly just because it was a little boring to approach her and hear nothing but insults. so instead she simply sat down, awaiting the excitement of the day ahead of her to roll out in full swing.

    || FORTUNESPARROW || INTERACTING WITH: OPEN ||

❀❀ another day. another terrifying day of trying to ignore the way her clanmates stared at her, another day of doing anything to pretend like she knew what she was doing. she knew many cats, including the cat herself, were questioning her decision to elect morninglight as leader. it came in a vision- but perhaps she read the vision wrong? the other priest at the time left it up to her to make sense of it. but what if she was wrong? morninglight was a fine leader, did things right and honorably, but what if it wasn't meant to be? the thought terrified her. but it wasn't something to think about now, not as she padded out of the priest's den and sat herself down right outside it, tail covering her paws. if someone needed to talk to her, they were more than welcome to walk up and ask whatever it was that was on their mind. but for now, she was going to sit right here and watch, observe, study.

❀❀ WHERE DO WE GO? OH WHERE DO WE GO?

  • THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

no.. i mean yes. yes, everything is fine. she meowed nervously, pawing at the soil. she had to get away from this conversation, she couldn't for one second show an ounce of weakness, for she feared that other cats would take advantage and overthrow her. she cleared her throat, would you mind taking a patrol out for hunting? she asked, she felt as though this was the only way she could get away from this conversation, potentially having to answer questions, and risk exposing herself. once more cats wake up i'll send out a patrol for border control.. unless you would also like to that with your patrol. she suggested. she really needed to talk to fortunesparrow, she needed help, reassurance, anything really.

it's like I wrote every note

  • He stared at her for a moment. Her behavior was odd, and as tempted as he was, it was not his place to question it. "Very well." He replied stiffly. "I'll take a patrol out at once." He wasn't oblivious, he knew she was trying to avoid their conversation. However, despite his suspicion, it wasn't his business to question her- even if he was tempted. Bowing his head in respect, he turned on his paws to find cats for his patrol. He glanced up at the sky, it was still early, but the day was finally beginning. As such, his apprentice, Flutterpaw should be awake. Humming to himself, he swished his tail to see if the apprentices, especially his, were awake.

Nose twitching, a touch of surprise came to him at seeing Flutterpaw up and awake. Deeming this a good sign, he approached the young molly. "Good to see you up and about, Flutterpaw." He purred lowly in greeting. He noticed her brief stare at her denmate, but paid it no heed. "If you're up for it, we'll be going out on a hunting patrol in a moment."

  • THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

morninglight watched him turn to his apprentice, mentioning that they would be going hunting. she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, looking over to the priests den. fortunesparrow was up, thank sunclan! she thought in relief. before any other clanmate had the chance to speak to mo, she scurried over to fortunesparrow, shooting her a glance that seemed to say help me! she wasn't sure if she was going to have a panic attack or a psychotic breakdown, but she knew she had to control it as soon as she could.

lynxpaw let out a snort, yeah it has. she replied. she didn't mind patrols, she was usually part of noon patrols when those happened. today's your lucky day i guess. she turned her attention over to blackarch who said something about a hunting patrol to flutterpaw. oh, i'm definitely going on a patrol. she thought, standing up and flicking her tail before making her way to blackarch, morning blackarch, me and leopardpaw will also go on a hunting patrol.

it's like I wrote every note

  • Leopardpaw frowned at Lynxpaw "I don't appreciate that little attitude of yours Lynxpaw, and if I were you I would lose it. Quickly." she meowed in a confident and irritated tone before watching her sister when she had noticed that Blackarch was going to take his apprentice Flutterpaw out on a hunting patrol. Her frown held it's place and she rolled her eyes as Lynxpaw seemed to be more eager to go on a patrol with Flutterpaw than her own sister, but she guessed that was slightly fair as she had distanced herself from Lynxpaw and the rest of her siblings for quite some time up until recent days. Leopardpaw thought that something was going on between her longer furred sister and the other fluffy apprentice but she could never be sure, but seeing that Lynxpaw was acting odder than usual she shook her head before she stood up and took a few steps forward towards her sister "Lynxpaw, if you would like I'm sure I could find another or my own mentor to take me hunting... if you would rather that I mean." She meowed to her sister. Even though she did occasionally want to keep an eye on the ever so slightly younger she cat the dusty brown apprentice knew that her sister could handle herself, even if something had been bothering her Leopardpaw never liked to pry open the answer, rather wanting her family to come to her freely.

  • THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

what? lynxpaw tilted her head, leopardpaw was the one who suggested that they go on patrol together but now she's implying that she wanted to go hunting together. you can still come on patrol, you know.. i doubt morninglight would let two apprentices hunt by themselves anyways. lynxpaw rolled her eyes, yes, leopardpaw was older but she was also much smaller than her siblings, her little threat for lynxpaw to lose her attitude was a cute attempt, but it would take a lot more than that to actually scare her, also word of advice to you, sister. confidence doesn't make up for your.. lack of size. she snickered.

it's like I wrote every note

  • Leopardpaw's ears twitched at Lynxpaw's last comment, she grinned and let out a sigh "I may be small, but in your hurry to grow I'm fairly sure your brain didn't form properly. Plus the bigger the size the more to dislike about the cat." she meowed in an arrogant and humorous tone. She strutted forward, tail swaying in the air making her way towards Morninglight "Excuse me? Morninglight, I was wondering if there were any patrols I was needed on?" she meowed in a warm and confident tone to the leader of the clan. She usually never let her sister get to her as she figured she was just jealous of how confident Leopardpaw was and how well her training had been going as of lately.

  • THIS IS MY MIXTAPE FOR HER β€”β€” πŸ’«

speaking to me like you just did suggests that it was your brain that didn't form properly. she retorted calmly, bringing her paw up to lick it and swipe it through her ears. don't mix being confidant with being arrogant, you pesky little fly. she finished, turning back to face blackarch and flutterpaw. so this patrol..

morninglight jumped a bit at leopardpaw. couldn't she see that she was in no place to speak to anyone but fortunesparrow right now. she felt of surge of anger swirl in the pit of her stomach, but calmed herself in time to respond to the young apprentice, um.. her gaze dropped onto blackarch, don't you want to go on the hunting patrol, with your sister? and flutterpaw? she questioned, but figured if she was asking she didn't want to go. never mind. borders need to be scent marked again. you can take your mentor and a few other fighters and apprentices to go with you if you'd like.
