    AURA SHILOH DEYES

    Youtuber Single Twenty

Aura ended up on the dance floor within a few moments and she laughed happily, tossing her curls back. She let herself get loose, forgetting about her work and how stressful it had been that day. Forgetting about the heartbreak in her past, forgetting about not having someone to share a bed with. She let all of those thoughts drift away as she danced around the dance floor to an upbeat song, unable to contain the contagious smile on her face. She watched as Garrett dragged Lucas onto the dance floor and she snickered, thinking it was adorable that Garrett seemed to drag his friends everywhere. She watched though, as Lucas seemed to fight against Garrett's pull and she sauntered over to the two boys, pushing past a drunk couple. She came up to the two males she had brought with her and her eyes sparkled with curiosity. Lucas didn't seem to like the dance floor very much and she glanced behind his shoulder, seeing the girls still staring him down, namely the girl in the middle. She blinked, understanding why he'd much rather go flirt than make a fool of himself with them on the dance floor. She grabbed Garrett's hand that still gripped Lucas and she unwound his fingers, releasing Lucas from his grasp with a small smile. She looked to Lucas, her brown eyes shimmering in the bright lights. She knew that they only lived one life and Lucas should talk to those girls, to try and find the girl of his dreams. He deserved to have someone like that in his life, any good guy like him did. She only hoped she and Garrett had the same luck soon. She would feel annoyed to be one of the only single ones in the group but, que sera sera. She nodded toward the group of girls eyeing Lucas and her smile only grew. "Go. Hazel eyes seems really into you." Aura said encouragingly. She waved her hand to Lucas, almost seeming to shoo him toward the pretty girls. She giggled, shaking her head as he took initiative and approached them. Before she could linger, Garrett grabbed her hand and dragged her back to the dance floor. She laughed happily and shook her head, her curls bouncing. She danced along to the beat of the fast song, bouncing and singing along as she did so. She made silly faces at Garrett all the while, dancing with him and he even twirled her once or twice. They got some odd looks from people but did Aura care? Absolutely not. She was having fun and if any man in her future couldn't hand her goofy behavior and quirkiness, they didn't deserve her. She danced around, obviously not trying to impress anyone but rather trying to have a good time. She sang along with the song loudly with Garrett, the two of them just laughing and being goofy as always. They then left the dance floor after about thirty minutes and were panting. They laughed and joked around with each other as they moved to the kitchen. Aura didn't trust her cup that she had let sit there for a minute so she decided to grab a new one. She and Garrett talked about who the designated driver was going to be and Aura volunteered herself, seeing Garrett really wanted to try the tequila. Garrett squealed happily and hugged Aura before he took a shot. Aura sipped on her cup on soda and glanced around the party with a sigh.

Aura saw a few people she recognized from other parties but no one she was really close to or knew from Youtube or anything. She hoped one day to party with David Dobrik and the Vlogsquad. They always looked like they had a blast. She nodded her head to the beat of the song playing and looked out to the dance floor. She saw a few couples dancing and some were drunk but one sober couple caught her attention. They seemed to be very in love with each other just based on the way they were staring at each other and Aura huffed, turning her attention back to the kitchen. Garrett was eating some cheese from the party trays and she laughed, shaking her head. That guy would always find something to eat. She inhaled and finished her cup of soda before getting another one. She didn't see them but a group of men were watching her in the corner, eyeing her drink and waiting to make their move. One of the men was very drunk and wanted Aura all to himself rather than sharing her with the rest of the group. Garrett giggled and excused himself to the bathroom, leaving Aura alone in the kitchen. She blinked, seeing Lucas was really hitting it off with the hazel eyed girl. She smiled softly to herself before looking down at her cup. The drunk man came stumbling behind Aura as she pushed herself off of the kitchen counter and she brushed her hair over her shoulder. The man came up right beside her, eyeing her from the side. Aura jumped slightly and sighed softly, saying that the man scared her. He apologized and then asked what a pretty girl like her was doing alone. She grimaced when she smelled the vodka on his breath and she laughed nervously. She moved to excuse herself from him when he grabbed her arm, rather forcibly. She grunted and tried to pull herself from his grip but he only squeezed harder. She glared over at him and his hand moved to squeeze her bum. She growled out and tried to yank her arm from his grip. "Let me go, creep!" Aura grunted and tried to break her arm free. The man slurred and kept going on about how she should come back to his place and she groaned, making a clearly disgusted face. His hands began to wander her body and she cried out, tears in her eyes as she tried to wiggle free. She was afraid no one could hear her over the music and everyone was too drunk to notice her being in peril. She grunted and tried to break free once more and finally she did, tears in her eyes as she held her throbbing arm. There was already bruises forming. The man began to get angry, backing Aura against a wall with a huff. Aura grunted, trying to push the man off of her but he was much stronger than her.

  • Garrett's grip proved to be unyielding despite Lucas's struggle. No matter how hard he pulled backwards, Garrett somehow doubled the force forwards. He protested loudly, earning him a few stares and giggles from a few of the tipsier-looking people in the room. He chose to ignore them.

Aura approached them both, and with a glance over Lucas's shoulders, she took hold of Garrett's hand. Soft fingers unraveled rough ones, releasing Lucas from Garrett's grip. He rubbed his arm lightly where the man's hand had been before looking down at Aura. He opened his mouth to thank her, but before he could, Aura had already told him to go to the girls in the corner. He glanced over his shoulder as well, only to see that the girls were still staring at him. The one with the hazel eyes seemed particularly interested, just as Aura said. He turned back to the girl in front of him. "Thank you," he spoke simply before turning and heading towards them.

Talking with the girls turned out to only be a successful experience for the hazel-eyed one. As soon as he approached, the majority of the girls scattered, leaving only the hazel-eyed one behind. He struck up a conversation with her.

Over the course of the next thirty minutes, Lucas learned several things about the girl. Her name was Piper, for one, and she was an aspiring artist. He also learned that she was going to college to further pursue her artistic passions, although she wasn't going to college around Los Angeles like one might expect. She actually attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, all the way out in Savannah, Georgia, and that at the moment she was only visiting her family and that'd she would be returning to the east coast the next day. That disappointed him more than he would ever admit, especially since it meant that trying to pursue anything further with the girl was basically futile. He wouldn't let that show, though, and continued to talk to her.

Eventually, Piper excused herself to go to the bathroom. It was only then that he turned to see that there was a drunk man backing Aura into a corner. Even from across the room, he could see tears pooling in her eyes. He couldn't hear what she was saying over the music blasting through the house, but he didn't need to hear her to know that the man was not exactly friendly and was probably trying to get into her pants in one way or another.

Lucas stampeded over to the confrontation and issued a light shove to the man's chest. He stumbled backwards in his drunken stupor, and the blond took the opportunity to wedge himself in between Aura and the drunk man. "Hey man, get the fuck away from her. She told you to stop," he half-spoke, half-growled. His icy blue eyes were fiery, and a nasty snarl spread across his face.

    // Ahh, sorry about this post's length!! It's really really short ;-;

Aura grunted, trying to fight back against the man. She tried to shove him and push and punch but he didn't move. He kept telling her what he wanted to do to her and she felt the tears getting harder to swallow back. She silently hoped someone would see the altercation and intervene and save her. She felt the man try and slip his hand under her shirt and she let out a terrified squeal, squeezing her eyes shut. Before she could tell what was happening, the man was thrown from her. She didn't feel his hot breath on her neck anymore and his cruel hands didn't grip her soft skin. She panted softly, slowly opening her teary eyes. She gasped softly when she saw that it had been Lucas that had come to her rescue. He had wedged himself between her and the drunk man and was defending her, snarling and barking. She felt her heart pounding against her chest and her head began to spin. This was all too overwhelming. Aura had never experienced something like this and she felt disgusted, feeling the need to scrub her body clean and take at least ten showers tonight. She couldn't get the feeling of the man's cruel hands off of her body and it seemed to haunt her. She frowned deeply, her chocolate brown eyes wide with fear. She knew the drunk man would not react well to Lucas intervening between them. Aura placed her hand on Lucas' arm as she realized that this was not going to end well. Worry shimmered in her brown eyes and the drunk man had fire in his eyes, panting heavily. Aura cried out when the man shoved Lucas, growling and shouting at him to mind his own business. Aura stumbled back against the wall from the man's shove and she hissed, hitting her head on the wall. She reached up, grabbing her pounding head. She winced. She then looked to Lucas, worried what might happen next. The drunk man shouted once more and shoved Lucas once more before the drunk man finally punched Lucas. Aura screamed out, her hands flying to her mouth. Tears streamed down her face.

The brunette beauty cried out as the fight escalated and that was when people began to notice what was going on. Aura grunted, her need to protect her friend overriding her fear for her own safety. She jumped in between the fight, grabbing the drunk man's arm before he could punch Lucas again. She cried out, fighting against them as they seemed to wrestle for a moment over control of his arm. "Don't touch him!" She cried out and the drunk man got frustrated, bringing his free hand back into a fist. He punched Aura in the cheekbone and his punch was sure to leave a cut and a bruise on her face. She cried out in pain, falling back to the ground beside Lucas. She groaned in pain, squeezing her eyes shut as her head hit the tile floor with a hard thud. She hissed in pain and panted softly, looking to Lucas. Before she could do anything, she felt someone grab her and drag her out of the way. She kicked and fought until she realized who it was. "Garrett." She breathed and he helped her stand, holding her close. Some people intervened and some men pulled the drunk man back, away from Lucas. Once the man was away from Lucas, Aura gasped softly and pushed herself from Garrett's arms and ran to Lucas. She shoved past the crowd and fell to her knees beside Lucas, worriedly looking over his injuries. Garrett came rushing over and Aura turned to him. Garrett told them that they should probably leave and tend to Lucas' wounds. It was then that Garrett saw the bruise and cut from the punch on Aura's cheek and he pointed it out, worried for his friend. She sniffled and waved it off, saying they needed to take care of Lucas first. They stood and Garrett helped Lucas to his feet. Garrett half-carried Lucas out of the party, Aura following close behind. She grabbed the keys to Lucas' car from his pocket and unlocked it. They both helped Lucas into the back seat and Garrett suggested driving Aura's car back to Lucas' apartment.

"No, leave it. You've been drinking. We can come get it tomorrow." Aura said quickly and climbed inside of Lucas' car, starting up the engine as Garrett pulled up the GPS to Lucas' apartments. She drove carefully to Lucas' apartments, making sure to look back in the rear view mirror to check on him every few minutes.

  • So much happened all in the span of a few moments. First, the drunk man, recoiling from Lucas's shove, applied a push of his own to Lucas's sternum. He stumbled backwards, but it was marginal compared to how far the drunk man had stumbled back when Lucas pushed him. Seeing that the shove didn't affect the blond, a fist flew towards his face.

Pain fired through every nerve and synapse in his face, radiating from his nose. He was sure that he heard a cracking noise, but in the moment, he wasn't exactly sure. He reared backwards once more, falling onto his ass due to the force. Suddenly, Lucas found himself grateful that he had chosen to wear a red sweatshirt, as blood poured from his nose like a crimson waterfall. He cupped his nose with one hand to hold back the flow. Tears would not come, though, and in truth, he wasn't even focused on the pain. His heart pumped adrenaline throughout his body, numbing the pain and building his anger.

Before he could stand, Aura was already holding the man back, trying to prevent him from getting closer to Lucas. A swift punch was delivered to her cheekbone, sending her cascading to the floor with a thud. He moved to stand and punch the guy back, but his efforts would have only been wasted, as by now other people were dragging the drunk man away from both Aura and Lucas. He hadn't even noticed that Aura had been dragged away from the confrontation and then subsequently rushed back over. The two shared no words, the girl speaking solely to Garrett and the blond man speaking to no one.

Lucas couldn't even protest when Garrett brought him to his feet and practically carried him through the party and out of the door. He attempted to walk, but Garrett would not let him. "I'm not a cripple, you know," Lucas would say, but Garrett didn't even respond. He simply carried onward out the door and towards his car.

"Please let me drive," he would state, arguing that he was capable enough to drive. No response. Aura took the keys from his pocket before he could even react, and suddenly he found himself in the back seat of his own car while Aura drove away from the party and toward his apartment.

It was only then that he really began to feel the pain that the man had inflicted upon him. The tears still did not come, but it was evident to both Aura and Garrett that he was not feeling the best.

    AURA SHILOH DEYES

    Youtuber Single Twenty

-- so sorry my muse was dead and then my sister came to visit for a few days :D

Aura panted softly as she made sure to drive as carefully as she could without drawing suspicion. She knew his wounds weren't serious enough to warrant going to the hospital and she could easily fix him up once they got back to his apartment. Living with her reckless and bullied brother resulted her in being more nurse than a child most times. She was younger than most and yet, she still took on a motherly role when it came to her friends or her family. She may be incredibly goofy but at this moment, there was a deep frown on her brow. Her dark eyes were narrowed in concentration and she looked almost, angry. She was angry. At the guy that had pushed up on her. And for him starting the fight and fighting one of her friends. She knew they had just met the day before but still. She already cared for the male and she would stay by his side as a friend until he wished her away. That's how she was, how she had always been. She was always loyal until that person didn't want her around anymore or until that person hurt her. She was not the type to give second chances, her mother had taught her to be better than that, to know her worth. Aura knew she deserved common decency but she wasn't the most confident girl. She knew she was pretty, sure. She just felt that, compared to other girls, she wouldn't stand a chance. After tonight, she knew she would take time before her next outing like this and likely not go to a party or step out of her comfort zone for some time. She was overwhelmed with adrenaline but as she drove, she felt the rush begin to fade. She began to feel the pain on her cheekbone and the bruise already forming as a dark purple. She felt disgusted and wanted nothing more than to take ten showers to try and scrape that man's touch off of her body. She felt tears well her eyes and she gripped the wheel until her knuckles turned white. She was traumatized, that much was true. But she would remain strong. She had to, to take care of Lucas and make sure he was okay. And once he was fine, she could cry on her own and likely have a breakdown. But she didn't show that side of herself to anyone except Alfie. She had also never been harassed like she had been tonight and she felt sick to her stomach. She exhaled shakily as she felt the tears run down her face and she quickly wiped them away, frustrated with herself. Garrett gently placed his hand on hers and she looked over to him. He gave her a concerned face but his eyes assured her that she would be okay. She smiled softly and nodded, moving to park the car since they had arrived at Lucas' apartment.

Aura turned off Lucas' car and climbed out of the car, as did Garrett. Garrett then turned and helped Lucas out of the back seat and Aura winced, seeing the blood and the state of his injuries now that she had calmed down and been able to breathe. She let Garrett guide the way since she had never been to his apartment and she unlocked the door. Garrett helped Lucas over to his couch as Aura closed the door behind her and locked it. She watched as Garrett set Lucas down gently on the couch before turning to her. She began to walk over, pulling her hair into a messy bun. "Get me a damp rag and some ice." She told Garrett softly, her accent thick on her words. Garrett nodded and jogged off to do what she had asked. Aura moved to kneel in front of Lucas and she gently bushed the blonde hair from his face, a thoughtful frown on her face. "Thanks. For saving me from the handsy drunk guy." Aura spoke softly, a vulnerability to her as she smiled softly. She looked at him with concern but there was a softness in her eyes, a sign that she really did care for Lucas. She looked up as Garrett brought her the damp rag and then hurried off to grab some ice for his injuries. She moved to sit beside Lucas, her thigh against his as she gently grabbed his face. With a delicate hand, almost that of a mother's, she began to wipe the drying blood from his face and especially his nose. She inspected his injuries as she began to clean the blood away and she blinked softly. It seemed he would just have a swollen nose for a bit with maybe a small fracture. It didn't seem broken so Aura was glad about that. She went to wipe the rest of the blood from his face and she gave him a soft smile. "Your nose doesn't seem broken. I've seen my fair share of broken noses." Aura laughed softly, holding the bloody rag in her hand. Garrett then returned to the pair with ice in hand. Aura gave him a thankful smile before taking the ice and gently handing it to Lucas. She watched him place the ice to his face and she watched him with concern. She blinked and stood. "I'm gonna get you pain medicine. Where would that be?" Aura asked softly, brushing some loose bangs from her bun behind her ear. She ignored her spinning head and her throbbing pain in her cheek, already beginning to feel her cheek swell.
