  • awh thank you! take your time and post your character when you can, there's no rush!

where do you suggest we should start with this one? when they first meet, or sometime before then?

  • hmm it's just a suggestion but maybe there could be some type of festival or field day/weekend for the students? like, there could be a bunch of various activities and things going on and they could either run into each other at some point or like what you mentioned in the plot, your character's friends could drag them over to meet yuri?

  • (sorry if this is a double post, my last post isn't showing up for me so i think it either didn't send or it got deleted? but i mean if you want to start that's okay, or i could! i'm currently working on homework but i mean i could probably do something in a few hours?)

(finally made my boy! so sorry about the hold up. school is a pain)

Elijah woke up to the sound of his dorm door hitting the wall with a bang in the middle of the afternoon. Startled, he sat up and squinted at the door, trying to make out who the person was, but being blind has its disadvantages. "Eli! It's Saturday! Get up! The rest of the guys are waiting outside for you. We're gonna be late!" Elijah sighed at the sound of the voice, immediately knowing who it was. His squinted eyes went from his friend to the clock then back to his friend. "Sorry... what is it again?" His voice was drowsy and mixed with a yawn, but it was the best he could muster. His friend chucked his clothes at him in response. "Come on! Get dressed. The school's having a festival and we're going." With a groan, Elijah pushed his roommate out the door and dressed. He headed outside to be greeted by the all too bright sun and the loud voices of his friends.

They dragged him through campus, talking amongst themselves about k-pop and rumors of an idol entering the school while Elijah read a novel he'd brought with him. One of his friends elbowed him slightly before talking. "Are they in any of your classes, Eli?" Elijiah's eyebrows wrinkled in confusion as his eyes looked up from the page of his book. Who? Another girlfriend of yours?" His friend hooked an arm around his shoulder and grinned. "Sigh, I wish but no. Have you heard of Moon Yuri?" The look of confusion on Elijah's face was all the answer his friend needed. "She's the main vocalist of Vixen? No? Dude, you're sad. She's the whole reason we're going to the festival. We heard she's going to be there."

A blank stare was the only answer his friend received. Elijah could not care less, but he'd go along with them for now. They were the only friends he had, and Elijah enjoyed their company... even if most of it was about idols. As they walked through the campus, various stands were set up that included tteokbokki, kimbap, and other snacks. Some contained games that could be played to win large plushies. While Elijah stared at the food stands, his friends looked around for any sign of this "uju" as they called her. "Guys, what's the point of just walking around? Can't we get some food and relax?" The rest of the group looked at one another then grumbled in agreement. They'd spent an hour or two walking around, and the previous hope that his friends began with had ended up disappearing. Elijah felt bad for them and bought each a bowl of tteokbokki before silently weeping for his wallet. "She's probably around here somewhere, right? Let's just try to follow where most people are going. If she's that popular, they'll flock to her right?"

(( oh no worres! i understand! i'm currently procrastinating 4 small assignments so i get it (: also, eli is so cute! "doesn't know some girls ask him for tutoring to get his number" SWEETIE AWH - i feel like i'm writing a lot here but i added a few more headcannons for yuri! ))

yuri seemed to be a lot happier than usual today. she got fully "moved in" to her dorm room, which is essentially just all her school supplies, some clothes, and anything she'd need directly at the campus, but nothing too important that could get stolen. she's only been to actual classes for a week, but she never really got to move into a dorm until now, just in case she decided to drop out last minute and switch to online classes. it would've been a much easier option, but yuri is so hard-headed, she wouldn't miss an opportunity like this. aside from moving in, she was extremely happy to have timed it perfectly with a campus festival. she was finally beginning to feel like a normal student. well, sort of. it was kind of dumb for her to even think that she'd get by without being noticed as the girl from one of the most popular girl groups in the country. her cover was blown on the first day, which wasn't exactly her plan, but it is now and yuri decided to embrace it and try her best to live her live as normal as her career made it possible.

the amount of hospitality she's been shown has been overwhelming. of course there's the ones who want to talk to her because she's famous, but she has met a few people who have been extremely helpful and have treated her like a regular student, which yuri has been beyond grateful for. they were the type of girls to be friends with everyone, it seemed like, so they took yuri under their wing and were able to show her the ins and outs of the school, introduce her to some other students, as well as get a few words in about other students. they've been so helpful, they even agreed to show her around and stay with her at the festival, like an actual group of friends.

"yuri! come try this game!" one of her friends called out to her. is was a simple game that included getting a plastic ring around a rubber duck that was floating in some water. yuri knew she'd be bad at it but she decided to try it anyway. to no surprise, no duck was caught by yuri, but everyone did have a good laugh at how she was so invested in the game, trying so hard to win. "i'm so bad at these games, i don't think i've ever won one," yuri sulked, somehow trying to make her loss better. "let's go find something to eat!" one of the friends suggested, getting approving nods from the three other girls in the group, including yuri. "oh! i saw a place serving tteokbokki and it smelled really good! we should go try it!" another girl exclaimed. with the excitement shifting to the rest of the group, the friend that suggested the tteokbokki grabbed yuri's hand, leading the girls to the booth.

"wow, you're right!" yuri exclaimed happily, looking at the fresh tteokbokki being made as they stood in line to order. as they waited in line, yuri took this time to examine the campus happenings. it was so busy yet it didn't seem busy since the campus was large. everyone was either busy with the activities, lounging in the grass, or looking for something to do. for yuri, it felt nice to be a part of something others found so casual.

tapped lightly, yuri jumped out of her daze, seeing that it was her turn to order. she only ordered a small portion of tteokbokki and a bottle of water, since she wasn't exactly the best with spicier foods, but she still enjoyed it anyway. once she paid and received her food, the group made their way to an open space in the courtyard, where they were able to sit under a tree and watch the happenings of the festival.

(yuri is much cuter than eli! can't wait for them to meet right now though. this should be fun haha)

As Elijah's friends sat around their table in a sad manner, he didn't quite know what to do to cheer them up. Instead, an awkward silence lingered around the group until his order number was called. Immediately, the group of boys lit up, practically salivating at the smell of tteokbokki wafting towards them. Each one gladly took their portion from Elijah and devoured them quickly, forgetting how hot the snack was. Their faces transformed from satisfaction to realization to pain. The burn and spice of the snack made most of them water at the eyes. "Eli... help." One of his friends strained their voice to try to catch his attention and then pointed desperately at the soju on the menu. Shaking his head, Elijah then had to order a couple bottles of soju to help the boys wash down their tteokbokki. As the youngest, Elijah poured each of his friends, and even himself, a shot of soju. They all clinked their glasses and downed the cool liquor. A sigh of relief was elicited from each person in the group before they stood up and resumed on their way, soju bottles in hand.

As they resumed their stroll down the streets, the boys became increasingly more drunk. A swig of soju here, a swig of soju there, and most of the group was swaying on their feet, save for Elijah. Standing in the center, it was up to him to keep the entire group from collapsing as each boy had their arms around each others shoulders. He wasn't a superhero though, and their combined weight was starting to wear on Elijah. Why did they drink so much? Is there anywhere to put them down? His eyes scanned the courtyard before settling on a large tree that wasn't too far away. Slowly, but surely, each step brought the group closer to the tree. Their drunken, slurred speech went in through one ear and out of Elijah's other ear. Mostly it was about how hopeless meeting Yuri in real life was but how amazing it would be to meet her. Elijah could not shake his head enough.

As he approached the tree, he saw that there was a group of girls leaning against one side of it, watching the festivities. Elijah bit his lip, unsure if they would be okay with a group of drunken boys next to them. As Elijah approached, they glanced up at him in acknowledgement, and he tensed up. They were pretty, very pretty. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Some of the girls' eyebrows wrinkled in confusion as if weirded out. Say something. Say something! They probably think you're a creep. Don't do this to yourself. One word. Any word! "Uh... Sorry." That was all he could muster. Elijah cursed under his breath as the blood rushed to his cheeks and dragged the boys to the other side of the tree. One of his friends bumped into the cutest of the group of girls and accidentally spilled the cup of tteokbokki over her top and bottom.

Elijah practically dropped his friends on the ground right then and there, but instead he adruptly laid them against the side of the tree. He could practically imagine the glares coming off the girl he'd done it to. It was his fault his friend bumped against her after all. "Ah! I- I am so sorry." He couldn't look her in the eyes. "Uhm... Do you need napkins? Or I could pay for your cleaning? A-Anything really." His voice was shaking. Elijah was mortified. He was cursing himself and his friends for the mistake. Whatever she chose to do, he would accept it.

    (( ah, they're both so cute! they're a good, chaotic pair (: ))

as yuri took her time nibbling on the spicy snack, the small group of girls with her didn't hesitate to hurry with their servings. maybe it was because yuri was more self-conscious about her image, but she's never seen a group of girls eat so quickly, except for her own group members. they could eat a whole restaurant if they could. as they relaxed in the shade of the tree, yuri noticed another group coming closer. they were all close together, they must be extremely close friends. as soon as she noticed a few of them stumbling, yur couldn't help but chuckle at the group, which she now knows is a bit tipsy. "isn't it a bit early to be getting so drunk? it's not even the evening." one of the girls commented as she softly laughed. "well, aren't students encouraged to have fun during these festivals? that must be their idea of fun." yuri replied, looking away from the group so none of them would catch her staring.

although, yuri wouldn't have guessed they'd be coming to the same tree the girls were under. were they going to try something? yuri could never understand drunken boys, they were always so unpredictable. once the stumbling group was within talking distance, yuri glanced up, seeing now that they were being fully supported by the boy in the middle. poor guy, he probably took it upon himself to take care of them. at least he's a good friend. with a small raise of her eyebrows and a slight head tilt, yuri waited to see if one of them would say something, but to her surprise, they didn't really converse, aside from a small apology form the more sober one. yuri's look of curiosity turned to a smile.

nearly as soon as she turned her head to talk to her own group, she felt herself shoved to the side, the sudden gesture spilling yuri's snack everywhere except the grass. her luck. chaos nearly broke out as yuri began to process what happened and the surrounding girls tried their best to help clean up the mess. today was the wrong day to wear brighter colors. now kneeling, yuri got all the excess tteokokki off of her shirt, now all that was left was the orange remnants of what was once a nice snack, now spilled on her shirt. yuri also noticed one of the boys was back to her side of the tree, overly apologetic even though he wasn't the one who made the mess. "oh no, it's okay, we have spare napkins." yuri started, realizing that the napkins couldn't exactly fix what damage was done. "i'll probably need to go and change, but that's about it. it was an accident, it's okay." yuri tried her best to reassure him, but noticing that he wasn't even looking her in the eyes, she wasn't doing too well.

standing up, yuri shook off the grass and whatever tteokbokki still remained. the other girls stood up as well, claiming they'd go get some more napkins to clean up the mess on the ground. they left momentarily, leaving yuri and the sober stranger. she began to leave to go change, but the size of the crowd stopped her. there were so many people around, yuri couldn't help but feel her anxiety rise. turning back to the boy, yuri looked up at him. "a-actually, could you walk with me back to my dorm, if it's no bother? it's just, there's a lot of people around, i get... a little scared walking by myself such a long way." yuri softly spoke, as if her fear of being alone was something to be embarrassed about. is he going to think she's the one trying something? surely not, she doesn't even know his name.

(omg yuri doesn't know how awkward it's going to be with elijah D: my poor boy is gonna be so flustered)

Oh god. Oh god. Oh. My. God. What did she just ask me to do? Elijah's eyes rose from the ground up towards the girl who had been the accidental victim of his friend. She was the prettiest, very much so, and in front of pretty girls, Elijah didn't quite know what to do. Instead, he just stared at her for a moment, his brain trying to comprehend what she had just said. "Uh... yes. O-O-Of course. L-Lead the way." Rapid and stuttering, Elijah's accent always got significantly worse when he was anxious. She didn't mean anything by it right? Of course not. He was just being a good samaritan and taking her back to her dorm. Even so, just the thought of the act made the hue of his face turn ever so slightly more red.

Elijah walked by the girl's side as they headed back to the student dorms. The different types of dorms were separated around campus by how much the students would pay for housing. The greater the price, the better quality the dorm was. Elijah lived in a somewhat mediocre dorm. It wasn't communal and cramped, but it wasn't totally isolated either. He had one roommate in a mildly spacious room who was part of his friend group, and that satisfied Elijah just fine. Trying to ignore the awkward silence that was slowly filling the air, Elijah pulled a lollipop out of a pocket and put it in his mouth before focusing on different items in the environment. From the food stands to the trees to the games full of prizes, he couldn't keep his eyes off one thing. Every so often, Elijah would sneak a glance at the girl's face. She was probably the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Who was she? He'd never seen her around campus, but the school was large so he supposed that made sense. What is wrong with you, Elijah? You don't know everyone in the school. Stop staring and face forwards.

It wasn't long until the two reached the building where the girl's dorm was in. Usually, Elijah was a bright person, the sharpest crayon in the box so to speak, but something about the situation dulled his senses. The building was vaguely familiar. As they ascended the stairs inside the building and walked down the hallways, it dawned upon Elijah. This was his hallway, his building. He came back to his senses just in time to avoid bumping into the person he was escorting. As she unlocked her room, Elijah looked around before stopping on a familiar number two doors down. Is that my dorm? She lives two doors down from me?

"Uhm, so are you new? I haven't seen you around before in this building." He leaned back against the door frame in order to avert his eyes away from the interior of her dorm. Elijah didn't want to seem like a creep, especially to someone he was alone with. "Ah, and I'm Elijah. Elijah Kang. You can call me Eli though. The rest of my friends do. N-Not like you asked." Again, anxiety took over but he spoke loud enough for her to hear from inside. He hung his head down in embarrassment and let out a quiet sigh. Elijah was mentally facepalming himself. Smooth Elijah. Smooth...

(( oh my gosh poor elijah,,, yuri's just trying to be friendly and nice bc she feels bad for him and eli's just like HELP HELP HELP ))

yuri was surprised he was willing to take her back to her dorm. she was curious about the state of his friends, and how they were going to manage. maybe yuri's own friends would look after them? although, if they needed help walking, they probably wouldn't go far. she also couldn't help but notice he sounded a bit hesitant. was it because he's nervous? d-does he know who i am? is he thinking i'm going to get my manager to do something bad since his friends did this? yuri's mind raced as she only nodded, beginning to lead the way to her new room. even though she she had someone with her but her clothes were noticeably ruined, yuri stayed away from the bigger crowd, hoping nobody would notice and cause a scene. she was pretty glad with how things were doing so far, and she didn't want to ruin such a good streak today. not like this. as they navigated through the campus, there were points when yuri would stop to think about which direction she needed to go. if he tries to say anything about her not knowing where to go, she'll at least tell him to cut her some slack. for her first day with an actual room, she's not doing too bad.

as the building became closer, yuri couldn't help but get more and more anxious. things were awkwardly silent, it was like he wasn't even there. yuri wouldn't know what to do if he just left her in this state. every so often, yuri would try to reassure herself that he was still following, but by looking at the ground instead of his face. if he caught her staring, god knows what kind of assumptions he'd make.

soon enough, they made it to the building yuri needed. it still took her a bit to figure out where the stairs were and where she actually needed to go, but hopefully it didn't make her look too lost. a few doors down from the stairs, yuri's room was waiting for her. she slipped into her room, leaving the door open a small crack once she heard him start talking. now he starts talking? after that entire walk? since yuri didn't bring a lot with her, choosing an outfit was pretty simple. this time, it was a darker outfit instead of the pastel, just to be sure an accident like that wouldn't be too big of a deal. "uh, yeah, i got the keys and everything to this room today, actually. i've been in classes since monday, though." yuri answered, trying to not make it so awkward as she tried her best to change as quickly as possible. with a skill like this needed for performances, yuri was an absolute pro at quick changing. she was nearly finished as soon as she heard him introduce himself. his introduction made her silently giggle just a little, she could tell in his voice he was getting embarrassed. did he still feel bad? hmm, elijah. is he not from here? but it was also at this time when yuri realized that it would probably get a lot more awkward. "oh, hi eli. i'm yuri. moon yuri. i don't really have any cool nicknames, so i guess yuri is an okay name to call me by, right? i also realized i've said my name way too many times in such a short amount of time, so maybe i should stop." the last part was more or less to herself, but she didn't really play into the fact that he's right outside the door and can probably hear everything she said clearly. oh well.

before she was going to leave her room, yuri put on a bit of perfume, just to mask the faint lingering tteokbokki smell that followed her. hopefully it wouldn't stay for too long, it'd be so embarrassing to smell like spices for the rest of the day. "elijah, are you from around here? i'm sorry, i've never really heard that name before. it's unique." she asked, trying to get conversation out of him. maybe by the time they left, they would have something to talk about on the way back to their groups instead of walking in silence. or, they wouldn't walk back together at all. peeking her head through the doorframe, yuri looked at eli. "oh, and if you'd like, you can go, you don't have to wait for me, if you'd like. i feel bad for taking you away from your friends, they looked like they needed you more than i do." she said to him. sure, managing her way around the campus by herself was absolutely terrifying and the possibility of being bombarded wherever she went always lingered, but yuri couldn't help but feel bad for the boy. he didn't even do anything wrong, yet he's dealing with the consequences.

( again sorry that this is so late! also elijah's realization coming in... 3... 2... 1...)

Elijah, leaning on the door frame of her dorm room, stifled a laugh at hearing the girl talking to herself. She was adorable and pretty. Stop it, Elijah. You're being weird. She's just being nice. Not fully taking in her name, a strange silence filled the air. It was the kind of awkward silence no one would want to be in. With nothing being said and time to think, a lightbulb went off in Elijah's head. Moon yuri... where have I heard that before? AH. N-n-no way. His eyes grew wide at the thought but returned to their normal size by the time he heard her voice again. This time, she peeked at him through the doorway. Slightly surprised, Elijah almost jumped backwards. He could smell the light spritzes of perfume around her which was probably an attempt to cover the tteokbokki smell. Another reminder of his mistake, Elijah turned a faint pink at the thought. I guess my name is kind of strange. Unique is just another word for weird after all. "Ah, yea I wasn't born in Korea. I was born in America but I decided to come to Korea for college." Slightly unnerved, Elijah rubbed the back of his head. "Waiting for you is no problem by the way. They're all drunk and incapable of walking anyways. I'll just drag them back here later." The last sentence came out with a heavy sigh. Just the thought of dragging them made Elijah's muscles ache.

As Yuri came out, she locked the door behind her before starting the walk back to where her friends were. Elijah trailed just a little ways behind but not enough to think that they weren't walking together. An awkward silence started slowly flling the void as they walked, but Elijah was determined to not let that happen again. He felt bad for subjecting her to getting food spilled on top of her clothes and this horribly awkward situation. Unable to think of any conversation starters, Elijah said the first thing that came to him. "Uhm... are you perhaps the idol Moon Yuri? Uh not that I care. My friends are just really big fans of you." From Elijah's mouth came a strange laugh that was a mix of nervousness and embarrassment. Why are you so dumb? They probably don't want to talk about it! "Ah sorry. That was rude of me. I'm not going to ask you for an autograph or a picture or anything. I think that's what people do when they see celebrities right? ... I should stop rambling now." He instinctively flashed an embarrassed smile at her like he did in every public speaking situation before facing towards the front.

As the two got closer and closer to where they had left their friends, Elijah finished the lollipop that he had put in his mouth earlier. He stuck his hand in his pocket to check for another and practically hit himself. There wasn't anything left to occupy him as the pocket was empty. It was just him and Yuri now. Say something, Elijah. Don't just leave things this awkward! As the tree came within a few steps of walking distance, Elijah cleared his throat. "This probably isn't the best first impression of a school festival, but we don't dump tteokbokki on cute girls usually." It took a while for the realization of what he said to hit him. His face was a slow transition from normal to a vibrant red. For someone so intelligent, Elijah wasn't the smartest when it came to girls. That much was certain.

(( omg i honestly love eli, i just want to give him a huge hug and tell him he's doing great,,, ))

one last check of her room to make sure she had everything, yuri checked the time on her phone. she had a few notifications and saw a few from her group members, but those weren't important right now. the rest of yuri's groupmates were pretty wild and since she is now living in another place, they now think they have to send messages every ten minutes. although, it's not like she's spent nearly every hour of the day with them anyways. she took this time to listen to elijah, and it suddenly made sense. of course he wasn't from here. or maybe he was, that's why she asked. "wait really? that's pretty cool! it's a pretty long way to move for school, but i hope it's going well for you so far." she replied, he tone raising once she got to the second half, as if she was hesitant to say it in case it was wrong and it wasn't actually going well for him. yuri couldn't imagine moving across the world for school and not like it, that just blows her mind.

once yuri was sure she had everything in place and she was fully ready to leave, she grabbed the key from off the desk and left the dorm, locking the door after her. once she was done, she looked to elijah as sort of a signal to know if they're good to go. a soft smile to eli and they were on their way, tracing the exact path they used earlier. the activities going on around campus were still just as busy, which made yuri tense but then relax when she remembered elijah was stiill with her. hmm, he must not be a "walk beside you" type of person. soon enough, he went and asked the question. yuri was kind of taken back when she realized he didn't exactly know who she was, but it was kind of nice that he didn't, in a way. since yuri debuted, she realized just how much she took being treated like a regular person for granted when she wasn't under society's microscope. any type of casual conversation or interaction makes yuri happy, which is probably why she felt so cheerful and at ease around elijah, as odd as it was to say. although, he probably still felt bad for what happened earlier. his somewhat immediate clarification put a smile on yuri's face. she felt bad, but it was kind of interesting to yuri? "oh no, it's okay," yuri started. "and yeah, i guess that's me. but i also guess i've taken the role of university student moon yuri for the time being, if that doesn't sound too cringy." yuri said, immediately regretting what had come out of her mouth as soon as she said it. god, yuri you're such a nerd. he probably thinks you're incredibly weird or something now!

the chatting while walking was unusually settling for yuri, she didn't even realize how close they were to their destination. when she noticed the familiar tree, yuri saw her friends on one side, all huddled together and talking, then elijah's friends on the other. they looked, okay? they didn't get into any trouble, so that's a plus. yuri was planning on stopping to say a last thank you to elijah, but he was the one who spoke first. a complete change from their walk to yuri's room. maybe he's just shy? when she heard him talk, she tookthis opportunity to look up at his face, since their previous walks had included awkward, non-eye contact conversations. she saw how red his cheeks were, and yuri couldn't help but smile. the words came later. he called me cute? "oh, so that isn't normal, i'll remember that for next time." she said, joking lightly before she remembered how he still might feel bad about the whole deal. "thank you again, it really means a lot." she said to him once more. does he know she's thankful? might be hard to tell.

although this time, "thank you" meant much more than taking the time to take her to change. yuri was honestly thankful for the whole little adventure. he left his friends to take yuri through campus and unknowingly eased the tension the larger crowds were giving her, had a short but nice conversation, treated her respectfully the entire time, made her feel safe, and was fully okay with it the whole time. he was a really nice guy, and yuri would be wrong to think that kindness, quietness, and shy nervousness towards her wasn't intriguing. but, i'll probably never see him again. this place is pretty big and there's a lot of students. at least we were able to talk for a little bit...

( so sorry about the wait! i came down with a fever :( also yuri is so sweet for dealing with the awkward mess that is elijah )

Elijah glanced at Yuri in hopes that she wasn't looking at him, but he was met with full on eye contact. He tensed up at first, trying to get rid of the flush in his cheeks, but immediately relaxed at the sight of her smile. God, what did he do in his past life to escort someone so pretty and kind? "There's no need to thank me. I was the problem, not you." He murmured the words as the two reached the tree and their respective friend groups. Yuri's friends were glad to see her back while Elijah's... still laid on the ground a bit disoriented. As Elijah scooped his friends back under his arms, he smiled at Yuri. "We're probably done for the night. Hope you enjoy the rest of the festival, and... I hope I see you around." The last part was practically an inaudible whisper, but before Yuri could ask him what he'd said, Elijah turned around and started walking back to the dorm room.

A smile slowly rose to his cheeks as one of his friends came back to being somewhat conscious. "What's up with you, Elijah? Meet the girl of your dreams?" The drunk friend swayed his head before poking Elijah in the cheek. The only reaction emitted from Elijah was a chuckle and a shake of his head. "That's a secret. Just try not to throw up on me." Unable to form any more coherent sentences, the friend just nodded before dropping his head again. How much did they even drink? The walk back towards the dorms was a slow one filled with murmuring and many pit-stops for much throwing up, but the only thing in Elijah's head was Yuri. She was sweet, kind, and dealt with his awkwardness gracefully.

As Elijah dumped each of his friends in their dorm rooms and onto their beds, he was exhausted by the time he got to his own. Only his roommate remained... who slept on the top bunk. Groaning, Elijah tossed his roommate onto his bed before sleeping in the top one. His muscles quaked in exhaustion before finally collapsing upon reaching the top bunk. He fell onto the pillow and sank into a deep sleep with a smile on his face. As bad as today went, it was a good, good day.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Elijah woke up to the stinging feeling of his roommate slapping him on the cheek. "Wake up teacher's pet! You're going to be late for math!" Elijah immediately sat up and peered at the clock. For once, his roommate was right. Elijah glanced at his roommate who remained in his clothes from last night before jumping off the top bunk onto the floor. No, no, no, no, no. He stared at himself in the mirror, dressed in last night's clothes, and shook his head. This would do. No one saw him yesterday right? His hair was tousled, shirt semi-wrinkled, and eyes baggy, but there was no time to fix anything. Elijah patted down his hair slightly and rushed out the door to his classroom halfway across campus. His heavy backpack weighed him down and smacked him on his back with every stride. As Elijah's hand grabbed the handle of his classroom, he pulled it open and stepped in just as class was beginning. His chest was shaking and heaving as his friend patted him on the back. Made it. Now where to sit?

(( ahh i'm soo sorry this is so late! i'm trying to manage my schoolwork a little bit better so i'm staying away from ff for a little bit until i can get my life in order lmao // i hope you're feeling better! ))

once elijah took his friends to their rooms, yuri sat back down with her own group, who were all extremely curious. yuri didn't say much, other than that he felt bad about what happened so he walked her to her dorm to change. they seemed pretty interested by the fact it was elijah. was that a good thing or a bad thing? as their conversation continued, yuri learned a bit of information regarding elijah, or at least it was what they thought of him. they said he was a pretty good guy, and he often tutors other students, but he also seems quite oblivious to the fact that some girls really just want his number or even a chance to go on a date with him. does he not like dating? maybe he doesn't. but, he is here from another country for college, so maybe he's wanting to focus on academics since he paid a ton on money to get here. either way, at least yuri was hearing about how good of a guy he is. at least she didn't blindly put her trust into some creep.

the next day, yuri woke up pretty early, having gotten a great amount of sleep. she's had to run on a couple hours of sleep for so long, she nearly forgot what a good night's sleep actually was. the reason for her undersleeping wasn't due to working too much, yuri had a bad habit of becoming really restless at night, especially when she's stressed or anxious. hmm, that'd really say a lot, wouldn't it? changing into some nice light jeans, a loosely fitted t-shirt, and a baseball cap to hide her eyes from the sun, yuri gathered all her things she'd need for class.

as soon as she exited her room after getting everything ready, yuri was immediately reminded of the events of yesterday. she could probably still smell the tteokbokki if she tried hard enough. she also remembered what elijah said about her being new. he said he didn't remember seeing me around the building, does that mean his dorm is around here somewhere? shaking the thought, yuri voted against being weird and searching for the dorm belonging to a guy she's barely ever talked to. instead she wanted to class, thankful for being able to beat the rush of students.

yuri's first class was math, which was her worst subject. she didn't hate math, she just didn't understand it. numbers didn't come easy to her. there's times when she thinks she gets it, but as soon as she gets the hang of things it's all proven to be wrong and it only leaves yuri frustrated. so a better way to say it is... she gave up on math?

since she was early to getting to class, she decided to stay back and enter after a few more students, just to avoid being swarmed once people realize it's her. as she settled in a very comfy seat towards the back of the room, having easy access to a door, yuri watched as students came in one by one and by groups, claiming each seat for their own. seats around her were filling up, but none directly beside her, which she was incredibly thankful for. it's not that she doesn't like people, but she values space, especially when it comes to strangers she's never been around before. and college students can be pretty scary.

(i promise i'm not going afk because i'm losing muse for this! i just never have the time to post :( one more week and my posting will be consistent and up at least once a day!)

Elijah's eyes scanned the classroom for seats. None of his friends had this class with him which made me practically a nobody outside of their presence. They knew him only as the nerdy boy who tutored anyone who asked. His eyes landed upon an empty seat near... Yuri? Oh god, oh god, oh no. He couldn't bear to face her after the stupid comments escaped his lips last night. Anywhere but next to the girl he embarrassed himself with. Elijah frantically looked around but the seats were full. For once, everyone had actually decided to come to class.

He walked slowly towards an unsuspecting Yuri before placing his bag down on the seat to the right of her. He murmured to himself a bit before actually speaking. "I hope you don't mind if I sit here. There's no other seats." Barely audible, even to himself, Elijah quickly place his rear in the seat before the Professor yelled at him to hurry up. There was a weird tension in the air. Was it just him? Yea, it was probably just Elijah. He was a little bit jittery as a result as he reached for his supplies. His hands quickly grabbed his notebook and flipped it open while grabbing the pencil at the same time. Hopefully the professor's lecture would help distract him.

Throughout the lecture, Elijah would alternate between writing down notes and stealing glances at Yuri. She looked so nice even when her face was fraught with confusion. Wait. Stop being a weirdo and focus on your notes! Every time he looked back at his notebook, he'd shake his head as if he could shake the thought out of his head. The math was simple for him, and every question the teacher asked could be answered by Elijah. However, he never offered to do so unless called on. The class seemed agonizingly long. He wanted to say something to her before class ended but what?
