• —— AMBROSIA AETERNUM ——

Ill believe it all, there's nothing I won't understand

Don't feel overwhelmed by the wall of text! Important information is in BLACK or down below!

"THAT'S IT GUYS! The Shadow Veil has had ENOUGH!" Ambrosia would roar, coming to stand in the middle of camp, towering and imposing in her dragoness form. Ambi had been waiting for this. Twice now the Exilers had snuck into the Veil, and twice now they had kidnapped their members. The last three times the Veil had done nothing about it - but not this time. Not while Ambrosia had anything to say about it

"With permission from Mercy and within my power as Midnightbringer, i'm calling forth a raid!" she'd announce, cutting straight to the point, "It'll be done in two patrols." Raising her claw, she'd begin explaining her plan, "The first patrol will distract as many Exilers as we can. I want this patrol to be made up of Veilers who want to participate but don't want to fight" her thoughts fell on Mercy and Ambedo and any other clan mate with a hesitance to draw blood. She wanted them to have the chance to volunteer without having to risk their morals or face their fears so quickly, so this was the perfect alternative, "Those in the first patrol must be able to not only grab the Exilers attention with whatever means at their disposal but also be quick footed and ready to leave at any moment. If the Exilers should try anything, you run. I don't want any unnecessary injuries, got it? " she'd pause to let that warning sink in before continuing, "Since I will assist in leading the attack patrol I need someone to volunteer to be the commander of the distraction patrol. Whoever volunteers must be prepared for anything! I'd prefer it if this commander was a high position and capable of leadership. You better know when to distract and when to bail, got it?"

"Now, to the Raid." her mismatched eyes glowed with lemon and umber righteousness as she roared, "Anyone able and willing to fight six moons and older BETTER SHOW! If you don't have an excuse then I better see you preparing a goddamn great ass welcoming party, y'hear me? " raising her chin, she'd hiss lowly, "The Exilers will not stop hurting and humiliating us until we make them. I am tired of cleaning up their messes - of watching my clanmates and family bend over backwards trying to protect themselves from those mangy mutts! The time to wait is OVER! We are bringing Madrabbits back but we're also protecting everyone else they so arrogantly think they can walk on!" with that out of the way she slammed her talons hard on the ground, "The raid will be quick and easy. We go in, wreak some havoc, grab Rabbit and then leave. I don't want any unnecessary heros. I will frown on anyone who attempts to kidnap any Exilers - at least, before we get Rabbits." she wanted Rabbits to be taken care of first before returning the favor, but of course the revenge-loving Midnightbringer would not kill anyone who tried that kind of vengeance. They just better do it quickly and discreetly.

Raising her head she would shout to the high heavens "But most of all, I will have no goddamn idiots in my patrol![/colr]" turning to those gathered, she'd stare challengingly at everyone, daring someone to talk back to her as she hissed, " If you're hurt, you get treated, y'hear me? If you're outnumbered, you flee or get help! If you are scared and hesitant, you either suck it up or you leave right goddamn away! You hesitate and you'll get hurt!" she would let that sink in, before raising her chin once more, her eyes flashing with sternness as she looked upon the crowd. " I want you all to be brave, strong, proud members of the Veil, but I also want all of you back ALIVE!" dropping her maternal act, Ambi would bare her teeth at the crowd - if she were a fire elemental, smoke would be billowing from her nostrils, " To anyone who dies during this raid - i'm going to claw my way up to whatever hell hole in the sky you're hiding in and I will personally drag you, kicking and screaming, back to earth so I can choke the living shit out of you myself, GOT IT! "

Taking a deep breath, she let it out slowly. Raising her head she'd conclude, "Two patrols. The diversion patrol and the raid patrol. Volunteers are mandatory otherwise you give me a proper excuse and we'll discuss alternatives - like helping Mercy heal or preparing the camp for injured members." she would gesture to the empty space before her, a grin of eagerness filling her toothy maw, "Now lets begin."

//What i'm thinking is we have two threads. In the first thread Veilers must do whatever thy can to distract the Exilers - can be through a return paint ball fight or a fake call for peace

Make sure to mention in this thread that whoever responds to it cannot respond to the battle thread (but tell them at the last minute >:3) an Exiler did this to the Veil once and it was awesome so i'm stealing it

// The second patrol will be posted maybe a day after, to give time for enough Exilers to post on the distraction thread (Whoever is in that thread MUST Keep the thread active as long as possible! To make sure the Exilers in it don't forget they're being distracted!

The of course the tradition raid thread which I don't think will need explaining

    "Speech."

  • This was the first time she'd heard of Rabbit's being captured and while she wasn't close to the boy he was still under her and the Veilers care. They failed him and the least they could do was get him back as quickly as possible. She'd raise her back fur wings splaying out as her head raised towards Ambrosia ”I'll help with the main Raid! I won't steal the glory from you Ambrosia, but I don't want to put everything on your shoulders.” while she was a bigger target more suitable for a distracting token she couldn't bare to leave the main force in the paws of anyone else. Se wasn't going to run away, it wasn't in her blood. She'd fight with them till the very end not pussy out as soon as an exiler snapped at her heels. ”This fight won't be easy the Exiler's don't give a shit about age or your name they'll kill you. They don't have honor like us” she warns. While she didn't want to shame the girl she doubted her experience and capabilities as a sole leader.

”They may be dumb as a pile of rocks but they are still strong and no one should underestimate them till they're completely beaten to a bloody pulp” they'd gotten a few scores on her on the raid she led as well as the ones preceding it. But than again those fuckers decided that a three on one battle was fair and not just a tad overkill. It fed into her ego but she hated fighting on a downwards slope so she hoped things would go better for her this time.

”My one warning is to not let your anger go to your head. Don't act irrationally, steel your emotions and kick as much ass as you can. The Veil needs you more as a fit and powerful warrior rather than as a cripple with backtalk. Like Ambrosia said don't hesitate” her gaze focuses in on Ambrosia for just a moment, it's directed just slightly towards her. She may be an adult but she's much to young to lose her head at this, not when she's in charge of leading. She promises herself that she'll intercept if the girl loses her head whilst they're out there. It's hypocritical considering how she handled Blizzardclan in the past but she has the experience and modesty it caused under her belt now.

  • /while all of this is going on, i'll make a thread for anyone who chooses to stay back for whatever reason where they can all prepare the infirmary together! :-D

(and if no one stays back, mercy will probably join the distraction patrol to make herself useful lmao)

Ambrosia was certainly going above and beyond — and Mercy had to say that she was impressed. She emerged from the infirmary as the Midnightbringer called for everyone's attention and took a seat close by, listening with pricked ears to the plan. It was thorough, evidently well thought out. Ambi spoke with such force, and in a way that commanded respect; her resolve was admirable, and as she nodded along, Mercy was reminded of Littlestar.

It felt good to be taking control of the situation like this. The Exiles had injured and slaughtered too many of her clanmates in the past, and she didn't want them to think they could do the same now.

Despite herself, Mercy tensed up a bit as Ver approached and offered her own words of advice. While watching and listening to the Shaderunner, she couldn't help but wonder again with a sinking feeling in her stomach if Nadine had told her about the... conversation they'd had the day Mercy stepped up as a Shadowkeeper. If so, how did she feel about it? About Mercy? She pushed her worries aside — the matter at hand was far too important for her to be worrying about personal drama.

When the pair had finished speaking, the dainty molly rose to her paws and swept her shadowy gaze across those who had gathered. "This is a very important raid, so please give it your all," she added, her normally soft voice much louder and clearer now. "If everything goes according to plan, we'll prove to the Exiles that we're not just playthings to be toyed with — they'll realize that their actions have grave consequences, and they'll regret ever touching our members. Show them just how terrifying of an enemy Shadow Veil can be!"

  • Well, fuck, Eddie hadn't realized she joined a place that was at war. She couldn't say she was completely opposed to it though- but Eddie was a little rusty with her moves at the moment. "That's not a problem though- this just gives me a chance to shake out the dust a little." The feline muttered to herself. Her face was rather stoic until she came up to the others and she was in view. A smirk bloomed on her face at Ambi's roars and orders. God damn, that fire was just growing and growing by the minute wasn't it? Eddie could never be a leader but she wasn't much of a follower either. She didn't absorb any of the instructions issued by them all but she did understand that there were two raid groups. She was going in the fighting one. Only pussies went into the other one. Eddie rolled her shoulders and absentmindedly cracked her neck, ears perked. "What did those people do- other then steal a clanmate?" Obviously it was still bad but how important was that clanmate? She frowned a little. Well, this just went to show that she probably should've listened to Ambi a bit more but it was whatever. She was going to fight these others regardless of the reason. They could just be starting a fight over a fucking hair and Eddie would still valiantly charge into the battlefields like a knight in shining armor and slay them all with her good looks.

The white feline spread her feathered wings and let her eyes roll to Mercy as the other transformed into a leader. "Yes m'am." Eddie purred, dipping her head to the other. Yes indeed. She was about to really show off- not only to the Exilers but the Veilers too. They were about to meet Eddie, properly and truly.

  • Junekit didn't like the fighting. The boy often daydreamed what it would be like if the entire world could get together and love one another like one big family - the happiness would be never ending, right? But it was just like that one girl at the border said - they were evil, so it seemed, and evil people did bad things all the time and would keep doing bad things until someone stopped them. Maybe if Shadow Veil beat the Exiles "into a bloody plulp" as Ver had said, they would learn their lesson and not do anything bad ever again? That was what he hoped for, truthfully.

Junekit slunk over, his ears pressed against his cranium. He turns his gaze to Ambrosia and brushes his head briefly against her leg as he says, "Please, be careful Ambi..." He doesn't want her getting hurt in this but he knew it was a solid possibility if this was going to be a big fight. After that, he goes to sit at Mercy's side. It was obvious he wasn't going to go because of how young he was but he wanted to help out in some way.

  • [ i went and looked up the exiles' strategy that this is inspired by b/c i was curious + wanted to see exactly how it would go down since i have trouble picturing things rip, so for anyone else who's curious: distraction & raid. the first one's pretty entertaining lmao ]

Mercy turned to look at Eddie as she spoke up. "The Exiles are a group of treacherous criminals," she told her, "who hurt and kill others just for the fun of it. Nothing is too low for them — they're infamous for their brutality." The molly had memories of their cruel deeds going as far back as her childhood; they'd tortured Radioactiveplague right in Shadow Veil's camp and taken Sango's eye out right in front of her, way back when she was a little kitten. Their cruelty was what had initially driven her toward pacifism — the idea of causing as much pain as they did had sickened her. It still did, though as she grew older she'd been forced to accept the fact that violence could be a necessary measure. To denounce it in the name of justice was naive. "Recently, all they've done is capture and beat a few of our members. That in itself is unforgivable, but things will only worsen if we don't act now and nip this in the bud before they get too cocky."

Her gaze dropped to Junekit as he sat beside her. The boy was clearly worried, and her heart twisted. "Ambrosia will be fine, I promise," she assured him softly. "And while they're out, you and I can prepare the infirmary together for Madrabbits and anyone else who needs it."

  • Damn, Ambrosia was livid. She liked that.

Meg sat nearby, next to some of her clanmates, as she gazed up at the powerful dragon spitting rage at the air before her. Something about a speech like this elicited excitement in the feline- so much excitement that her fur stood up. With a curled maw, Meg stood up so she could be seen in the crowd.

"I'm joining in on the raid," she called out to Ambrosia, her smile widening.

  • The news of Madrabbits' capture spread like wildfire among the Veilers, eventually reaching the tall ears of the shadowkeeper. He, honestly, wanted to disregard it, to ignore it - It's just a rumor. However, his curiosity got the better of him and he visited the spot, himself, where his friend was taken. Abbi didn't have many friends, though those he did have he held close to his heart. And he simply couldn't decide if he was livid, or if he was terrified.

The young man happened upon Ambrosia's raid rally, his head spinning with the decision he ultimately had to make. He couldn't stay home or fake that he was in the Ruins at the time of this raid, not in his current position. And that - that was his friend. Rab was his dear friend and it felt oh so wrong to simply abandon the rally and not attend rescuing him. There was a nicer option of being a distraction, as the Exiles had done before, but that didn't mean it was safe. Still, the boy approached, the fur on his spine standing straight up, though still hidden by his cloak.

"I'll head the distraction party," the boy said, his tone holding onto his fear, however his eyes hard like stones. He had no confidence in himself to fight nor be a proper healer, but he could sure distract. He had done so for himself many times. The young man said nothing more, not feeling qualified to speak out like Ver and Mercy did - yet another time he felt inadequate in his position.

  • Treacherous criminals, ay? She liked the sound of that. Eddie flexed her claws midair and paused to itch her chest. Infamous? Brutal? So they were the villains of this world. Of this place. Eddie didn't know them well but already she was excited to smother them underneath her paw. They had to be a tough opponent to be spoken of in such a high manner. She was itching to fight. Sadly, the girl hadn't had much practice back when she'd lived with those old people. None of them wanted to fight and the ones that did had brittle bones that broke too easily. Too slow, too boring and simply too easy. Eddie didn't want this to be easy. She wanted to be punched and kicked and clawed and grabbed and stabbed and just about killed. She didn't love pain but she... was drawn to it. It made her laugh.

"Sounds good, queen." Eddie smirked and then promptly began to flap her wings, steadily ascending. "Can't wait to make mince meat of their bones." Was that even possible? She didn't know. But she was willing to try!

  • It was hard to ignore the rage that emanated from this clearing, words flying around as if they could pierce flesh themselves. Eyes green like a summer meadow shifted from each Veiler and widened with alarm as they took turns tearing into the very fabric of the Exiles. Demeaning them and spitting venomous accusations, belittling them in such a terrifying way that had Maiden crouching low in her position detached from the more animated members of this raid rally.

A question echoed in her mind, one that she didn't dare speak out loud, Why did they hate the Exiles so much? It wasn't until another molly spoke that Maiden received an elaboration. As the bi-color turned to watch her as she spoke, Maid was shocked to find no eyes, only smoke in the sockets where eyes ought to be. Whilst the youth was sure most greeted this fact with disgust, instead she felt intrigue. It prompted her to shuffled a few pawsteps closer, but remain still a good distance from Mercy.

Ears were pointed towards the molly, her entire being captivated by the female as she expressed her hatred for the Exiles. Her words were enough to make the soft-spoken veiler take on some of this rage for her own. Since she hates them so much, I must as well. It was this thought, so final in her head, that had Maiden turning towards Ambi with determination lingering in her eyes. While her fighting was surely not up to par, perhaps they'd allow her to stay back.. maybe with Mercy if the beguiling molly allowed her to.

  • Strat was tempted to make a comment about Ambi's rule of no captures. It didn't seem like taking the hypothetical high road was really going to be any different than raiding the Exiles in general. They were a bunch of bloodthirsty idiots who would jump at the chance to retaliate for their bruised egos, even if the Veil didn't take any of their own. They were damned if they did and damned if they didn't. But the Shaderunner was silent, choosing to keep these thoughts to herself as she approached, listening in to the directions her sister was giving. She had to give Ambi some credit: as angry and volatile as she was, she was a hell of a strategist. She had a feeling that she might actually be able to pull this off.

"Put me in the main raid, Ambi," she said once the Midnightbringer was finished barking out directions. She paused beside Ver and glanced between the two of them. She wasn't much of a fighter, but she had a feeling that her swiftness would give her a leg up when it came to snatching up Rab. "If no one else offers, I can rush through to get Madrabbits. I might not be strong enough to carry him off, but I can use my super senses to follow his scent, and when I get to him I can give you all a telepathic signal," she offered. She supposed that this would include defending Madrabbits when more Exilers came to try and take him back, but she was willing to take that risk.

YOU CALL ON ME TO SOLVE A CROOKED RHYME —— information.

  • Raid patrol for me,” Tanaquil said as she padded forward, her bow and quiver on her shoulder, ready for her to grab and use at any moment. She tended to shift them forward absentmindedly when she was excited, and Ambrosia’s fierce rally certainly got her blood flowing. The spotted feline had never had much excuse to raid or battle, but this was definitely one of those times when she could be merciless. Anyone that hurt her clanmates would have to pay.

  • Leesha wasn't sure she liked this...None of this sounded good talking about things there they would hurt this people called for The Exiles. It was the same people how had throw paint balls at her sister right?. The girl flattered her ears back against her skull, a anxious look inside of her orbs as she watched it all from a bit of distance. Both Ambi and Ver would take part in this...two people she happend to liked quite alot. She didn't wanted any of this two to get hurt. " Please don't get hurt." she would mumble, feeling distressed and a strong feeling of disliking biting inside of her stomach over all of this. Hopefully nobody would end up getting to badly hurt...

  • "I’m participating in the main raid," came Twilight’s determined mew after listening to the battle plan silently in the shadows, marching up to the group and coming to a halt. Her gaze was fixed on a spot over Ambrosiapaw’s shoulder, not bothering to pay attention to any of the others at the moment. She wanted to prove that she wasn’t weak, even though she was malnourished and shit. Besides, the molly was constantly itching for a fight. It was one of the reasons that made her so unpredictable. Maybe she’d get some more stupid scars to add to her collection, or better yet, get killed. Ha! Wouldn’t that be a laugh.

    -- VETER THUNDERWING

the male was in the area today. He heard everything. There was three sections of the raid he'd be good in. Fighting. Evading. Healing. For fighting, he has advantage through blinding enemies with his light elemental, size shifting basically since he can go from a rat to a bear, and he could heal those who get hurt! For the evading portion, the light elemental could get their attention. He could shift to a rat, run across, and shift into something big, do the light elemental and keep running around doing so while his fellow patrol members pelt the Exilers with whatever it is. Aand for staying at camp, he could easily protect the children. If needed, he could grab two and then fly up. One could even hang out in his antlers! Veter shifted his wings.

"Veter can place where best needed koshachiy (feline) thinks be."

    LIVING IN A DEAD LIE--
