GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN !
the boy looked all levels of confused. zorra was watching him out of the corner of her eye. he wasn't responding well and before she could do or say anything she was pinned against the wall. she gasped, surprised by his strength. "just let me exp-" her sentence was cut off when his shoulder slammed into her arm. she winced in pain, still not fully healed. the orbs faded. she was getting quite fed up now. he started yelling at her, causing her to turn her head away from him. he was strong, but she was too. he swung at her and she sensed it in his movements. she brought the hand not pinned to the wall up, going to block the attack, but it was diverted from an outside source. the sound of his fist hitting the wall right next to her head gave her a jolt. she was expecting it to come in contact with her hand, not the wall. before she could shove him off of her, he released her and sulked to the side.
she rubbed her shoulder, blinking a few times before standing up straight. both hands fell to her sides as she analyzed the people in front of her. "yes i am speaking english now." she acknowledged the blonde boys earlier comment before she was rudely pinned against a wall. her guard was still up, she was prepared to fly away at any moment. but she was foreign here. she needed to figure things out first. the green boy introduced himself and who he was with. superboy huh... she thought, giving him an angry side glare. there was no need for him to act out like that. she was offended. her attention turned back to green boy-er-kid lantern. "planet earth? that's quadrants away..." she spoke out loud, running her hand over her face. she was in quite the situation. her pink eyes glanced between the three throughout the conversation, still visibly wary of them all.
"i'm zorr'athelia. i come from a planet called tamaran." she introduced herself, leaving out the princess part. there was no need to share that information. besides she was exiled from her home planet anyways. that thought reminded her why she was really here. her heart ached for a moment before she pushed those thoughts away.
NOT CUTE JUST PSYCHO !
beverly wanted to laugh at the questions being thrown at her. but she didn't. she didn't answer them either. she just gave him a side glance and a rather mysteriously charming smirk. a gift of any prodigy of bruce wayne. she was very secretive. very. it was something batman drilled into her brain from the get-go. luckily she wasn't pressured into responding because they came to a halt outside an alleyway. her guard was up and she poised a batarang, ready to throw as she threatened them. her eyes narrowed through her mask as kid lantern got giddy over the fact she was speaking english. bev honestly didn't care what language she was speaking. a threat was a threat and threats needed to be taken care of.
an audible gasp left her mouth as superboy pinned her to the wall. now that was a turn. her defense of him just moments before went right down the drain. her focus point shifted to the two, the girl clearly trying to talk but superboy not letting it happen. his anger was getting the best of him. "superboy stand down!" beverly called to him, a surge of fear rushing through her as his eyes began to glow red. that was not in his files. kid lantern jumped into action, diverting the fist about to connect with space chicks face. she slowly lowered her batarang. superboy moved off to the side, clearly still fuming. introductions took place but beverly wasn't concerned with that. clearly she had done something to make him angry, angry enough for glowing red eyes. "okay zorra whatever you name is, why are you here? what did you do to superboy?" she cut to the chase. bev was known to not have a filter. but she wasn't here for friends, so not having a filter didn't bother her too much. the girl made a face at her lack of pronouncing her name.
"I didn't do anything to superboy. I can assume this isn't custom here, but on my planet we learn language through lip contact." so that answered her speaking english. beverly slid the batarang back into her utility belt and crossed her arms. she watched the girl turn to superboy and apologize. "i'm sorry if i offended you, that was not my intention." beverly took quick notice she talked rather formally. she wasn't sure how this language learning worked but she didn't sound like a regular civilian. that could just be her over-reading though. "But that doesn't answer why you're here." beverly reminded her, growing impatient. she seemed hesitant to answer.
"my home planet is at war. or was. as part of a peace treaty, the citadel, our enemies, demanded certain things. one of them being my selling into their sex slave industry. i escaped their ship and crash landed here, on your planet." she spoke, clearly at unnerved. to say beverly wasn't expecting that would be an understatement. this poor girl was sold by her own family into sex slavery. "so i'm assuming you can't go home?" beverly pushed for info. she might be good at reading people, but when on a mission that trumped everything. even peoples emotional well-being. catching herself being heartless, she shook her head slightly. "i mean uh-i'm sorry that happened to you. that's truly awful." she trailed off, glancing to kid lantern with a look that screamed 'please help me'. she could already tell her was better at this than she was.
