  • GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN !

the boy looked all levels of confused. zorra was watching him out of the corner of her eye. he wasn't responding well and before she could do or say anything she was pinned against the wall. she gasped, surprised by his strength. "just let me exp-" her sentence was cut off when his shoulder slammed into her arm. she winced in pain, still not fully healed. the orbs faded. she was getting quite fed up now. he started yelling at her, causing her to turn her head away from him. he was strong, but she was too. he swung at her and she sensed it in his movements. she brought the hand not pinned to the wall up, going to block the attack, but it was diverted from an outside source. the sound of his fist hitting the wall right next to her head gave her a jolt. she was expecting it to come in contact with her hand, not the wall. before she could shove him off of her, he released her and sulked to the side.

she rubbed her shoulder, blinking a few times before standing up straight. both hands fell to her sides as she analyzed the people in front of her. "yes i am speaking english now." she acknowledged the blonde boys earlier comment before she was rudely pinned against a wall. her guard was still up, she was prepared to fly away at any moment. but she was foreign here. she needed to figure things out first. the green boy introduced himself and who he was with. superboy huh... she thought, giving him an angry side glare. there was no need for him to act out like that. she was offended. her attention turned back to green boy-er-kid lantern. "planet earth? that's quadrants away..." she spoke out loud, running her hand over her face. she was in quite the situation. her pink eyes glanced between the three throughout the conversation, still visibly wary of them all.

"i'm zorr'athelia. i come from a planet called tamaran." she introduced herself, leaving out the princess part. there was no need to share that information. besides she was exiled from her home planet anyways. that thought reminded her why she was really here. her heart ached for a moment before she pushed those thoughts away.

    NOT CUTE JUST PSYCHO !

beverly wanted to laugh at the questions being thrown at her. but she didn't. she didn't answer them either. she just gave him a side glance and a rather mysteriously charming smirk. a gift of any prodigy of bruce wayne. she was very secretive. very. it was something batman drilled into her brain from the get-go. luckily she wasn't pressured into responding because they came to a halt outside an alleyway. her guard was up and she poised a batarang, ready to throw as she threatened them. her eyes narrowed through her mask as kid lantern got giddy over the fact she was speaking english. bev honestly didn't care what language she was speaking. a threat was a threat and threats needed to be taken care of.

an audible gasp left her mouth as superboy pinned her to the wall. now that was a turn. her defense of him just moments before went right down the drain. her focus point shifted to the two, the girl clearly trying to talk but superboy not letting it happen. his anger was getting the best of him. "superboy stand down!" beverly called to him, a surge of fear rushing through her as his eyes began to glow red. that was not in his files. kid lantern jumped into action, diverting the fist about to connect with space chicks face. she slowly lowered her batarang. superboy moved off to the side, clearly still fuming. introductions took place but beverly wasn't concerned with that. clearly she had done something to make him angry, angry enough for glowing red eyes. "okay zorra whatever you name is, why are you here? what did you do to superboy?" she cut to the chase. bev was known to not have a filter. but she wasn't here for friends, so not having a filter didn't bother her too much. the girl made a face at her lack of pronouncing her name.

"I didn't do anything to superboy. I can assume this isn't custom here, but on my planet we learn language through lip contact." so that answered her speaking english. beverly slid the batarang back into her utility belt and crossed her arms. she watched the girl turn to superboy and apologize. "i'm sorry if i offended you, that was not my intention." beverly took quick notice she talked rather formally. she wasn't sure how this language learning worked but she didn't sound like a regular civilian. that could just be her over-reading though. "But that doesn't answer why you're here." beverly reminded her, growing impatient. she seemed hesitant to answer.

"my home planet is at war. or was. as part of a peace treaty, the citadel, our enemies, demanded certain things. one of them being my selling into their sex slave industry. i escaped their ship and crash landed here, on your planet." she spoke, clearly at unnerved. to say beverly wasn't expecting that would be an understatement. this poor girl was sold by her own family into sex slavery. "so i'm assuming you can't go home?" beverly pushed for info. she might be good at reading people, but when on a mission that trumped everything. even peoples emotional well-being. catching herself being heartless, she shook her head slightly. "i mean uh-i'm sorry that happened to you. that's truly awful." she trailed off, glancing to kid lantern with a look that screamed 'please help me'. she could already tell her was better at this than she was.

  • what's my offense this time ?

Superboy's stance was tense. He could feel the strain in his shoulders as the conversation continued around him, and returned Zorr'athelia's angry glare. He held her gaze when she apologized, and did his best to ignore the roaring in his ears. Something flashed in his eyes, almost like a bolt of electricity, when the redhead kept pushing for more information. He wanted to be irrational, to claim her story was obviously fake. But he was smarter than that. She crash landed. She was so afraid when she woke up. It wasn't something he felt often himself, but he couldn't pretend to be the world's biggest dumbass.

He started to relax some as she told her sob story, though noticeably rolled his eyes in response to Beverly's insentient pushing. And the media pegged him as the emotionally inept. "Would you drop it? She dropped out of the fucking sky like a dead bird. As much as I dislike her, we can't put her back in that situation. No offense, but I'd not like to close my eyes at night and imagine her getting fingered by a pile of goop."

bite me while I taste your finger tips !

Leo was completely engaged in Zorra's story, and quickly pulled out his ring for reference. It was basically like a super futuristic encyclopedia that he carried everywhere. He multi-tasked, his eyes skimming over all the logged data as she explained what caused her to end up here, on earth. He looked up with big, blue eyes as Beverly suggested the send her back. "Are you kidding me? Raven, that's just cold. It says here that the Citadel are a bloodthirsty race - not only is she being sold into rape, her life is in danger. She's lucky she's here. We can't even consider it." He pursed his lips. "As much as I'm starting to dislike Superboy, he's right. She can't go back." He paused, to turn to the other boy. "Which, by the way, they look more like monkeys carved out of cinder block, not goop."

He paused for a moment, running through the possible options. "What if she stays with me? I mean, I'd have to do a lot of explaining to my mom, but it's an idea. You can go to my high school - but you can't tell anyone that I'm Kid Lantern. And.. I don't have a spare room. Shit. I mean. I can see if Green Lantern has somewhere she can go. I don't know, though. I don't suppose Batman or Superman have any openings for new side-kicks since you're here?"

zorr'athelia winced at the interaction between the three aliens. they were rather hostile towards each other. it was strange, seeing as they all showed up together. she assumed they worked together. maybe she had them pegged wrong. the red-head, in the purple and black get-up, was really starting to get on zorr'athelia's nerves. it was clear she wasn't listening to what was being said. she chose to ignore her, raven was her name, and her half-assed apology. she kept her gaze off the 'superboy' as they called him and onto the boy in the green. he was the nicest and she decided she liked him best. his description of the citadel was spot on. "that's an accurate description of the citadel, yes. and no, i will most certainly NOT be going back." she said curtly, side-eyeing raven as she did so. superboy's remark of her getting fingered caused her spine to shiver and her complexion to grow slightly paler. she didn't want to think of such things. of the awful things that would've happened to her if she hadn't escaped when she did. she began to subconsciously rub her wrists where the cuffs were after his comment was made. the blonde started talking again, and zorr'athelia found it a little hard to keep up. she was starting to get overwhelmed and the fatigue of her day was starting to weigh in. "wh-what is a high school? who are these other people you speak of?" she asked, eyes narrowing slightly as she took a step back. her face flashed with a look of confusion before it went to expressionless. she did not want to end up a burden to other people.

bev was clearly embarrassed but it was hard to tell behind the mask. her usual spitfire comebacks remained only in her head and were never spoken. she knew she was in the wrong. and for once she could probably admit it. you couldn't blame her for being skeptical of this girl who crash landed on their planet. she had only seen her shoot at innocent civilians and then fly away from superboy, she hadn't seen her when she first landed. superboys comment made her cringe inwardly, but she stayed stone cold on the outside. her arms were crossed over her chest as her gaze under her mask flickered from each individual standing there. as kid lantern began to speak again, you could tell the alien girl wasn't following that well. she would've made a comment to slow down, and not overwhelm her, but she was in no position to talk at this moment. instead she addressed the question sent her way after kid lanterns spiel.

"no, he doesn't. however, there is an old base of his here. she could stay there." bev suggested, lifting her arm and tapping her wrist. a blue holographic screen popped up. she began skimming through before stopping. suddenly the screen shifted into a blue 3D model of a t-shaped tower. "it's not too far from here, on an island off the bay." she said, holding it out for everyone to see. after a moment of silence, she shook her head slightly as if rethinking her words. "what do you think?" she asked zorr'athelia. bev was careful of her tone this time around. she knew someone would have to stay with her, to keep an eye on her, and it would more than likely have to be beverly since she was familiar and she doubted superboy or KL would want to move into that tower.
