    good girls don't exist !

    aurora stark - "striker" - 16 - female - archer

aurora was grateful for the barricade shielding her from bullets. her suit was bulletproof but her exposed arms and face here not. miss martian joined her as she shot some arrows at the few remaining goons. all that was left was brick. and he seemed to be doing just fine while he teammates were not. at miss martians words aurora bit her lip. her eyes scanned over the area, analyzing everything. she was quick to respond, wasting no time.

"miss martian, see those two giant crates up there? i need you, on my signal, to send them flying into brick. can you do that?" she asked but didn't stick around for an answer. she saw brick running towards her teammates who were just beginning to stand again. she shot him with another explosive arrow. this caused him to turn around. "over here you ugly bastard!" she yelled at him, eyes narrowed. he started to charge towards her. she moved swiftly to the side and around the back of him, joining connor and dakota. she stood in front of them, arrow still aimed directly at brick. the man seeing her evade him, got angry and turned around, charging back at the trio. "stay here, don't move. trust me." aurora stated to the two males behind her. "you insufferable children. i'm sick of this!" Brick howled as he rampaged towards them. 20 meters away, 15 meters away, 10 meters away...Aurora stood her ground, an arrow she hadn't tried out yet poised at the metahuman. "Miss Martian NOW!" Striker yelled.

the two crates, thanks to isab'la's ability, were flung onto brick, crashing down on top of him in a splintering bang. still aurora never faltered. she knew this wasn't going to stop him. he rose from the remains, dusting himself off. "really? that's all you got? come on, hit me with your best arrow. they won't do a thing for me." He mocked her, standing 10 meters away with his arms stretched wide. he was begging her to take a shot. so she did.

an arrow filled with high-density polyurethane foam flew through the air, hitting him square in the chest. the arrow exploded, the foam seeping out to encase the superhuman. she had a hunch this would work but she wasn't entirely sure. lucky for her, he wasn't strong enough to break the foam and he stood stuck his head and hands sticking out in an awkward way. aurora chuckled at the sight, clipping her bow on her back. she heard sirens in the distance, meaning police were coming to collect brick to send him to belle reve. she turned to connor and dakota, not being able to resist the words that flew from her mouth. "try to keep up next time." she winked as she turned and walked back towards the bioship. the police were just arriving as she did so, arresting everyone on the scene. their job was done. she was the first to arrive at the bioship and waited for the others to join her and for isab'la to open the hatch so they could board.

//i just couldn't resist aurora finally jabbing a smartass remark to connor. she's so full of herself now i'm gonna have to knock her back down a peg soon oof haha i also just felt the need to end this brawl like it was ended in the show with speedy shooting the foam arrow and ending the fight with brick.

my head spins in circles !

    dakota lance - "wild card" - 16 - male - shapeshifter

kota was offended connor didn't even accept his help. it was like there was no pleasing this guy. he really wanted to tell him off but right now was certainly no time, especially with brick walking towards them. kota wiped his mouth, blood from his busted lip leaving a line on the back of his hand. he ignored it, getting ready to shift again. suddenly striker's voice was heard as brick turned to her giving the two boys a moment to recoup. he eyed connors arm, noticing it hanging rather awkwardly. "hey let me fix that, i know how." dakota approached the slightly taller blonde. he had studied first aid and had medical/vet training while working under beast boy. he could easily pop his arm back into socket.

"listen we don't have a lot of time and you can't fight with your shoulder like that." dakota said, leaving really no room for connor to argue. he just couldn't be right all the time. without waiting for anything, dakota popped his arm right back into socket in a swift motion. connor was a tough kid, he could take it. if dakota had to guess, this wasn't his first time with an injury like that. in this business it was hard to not experience one of every type of injury at some point. all within the minute this conversation and popping connors arm back into place happened, aurora was standing in front of them like some kind of mother protecting her cubs. it was kind of off-putting for dakota, but he shook his head to ignore it.

she ordered the two to not move, yet brick was running full force at them, clearly pissed off now. "um i'm sorry but last time i checked your arrows did nothing, so why arent we getting out of the way?" wild card asked, clearly not enlightened on her plan. aurora responded with a simple "trust me." dakota was trying but finding it very hard. he shifted into a large elephant, ready to move in front and take the brunt of bricks force but aurora yelled for miss martian and two crates crashed onto brick. dakota shifted back into a human, watching the scene unfold before him. he stood still, sharing a look with connor. he watched brick mock her, watched aurora fire an arrow, and watched as brick was enveloped in foam and rendered immobile. "high-desnity polyurethane foam! genius!" dakota mused, impressed by her thinking skills.

dakota had heard the sirens earlier thanks to his superhuman hearing, but they were much closer now indicating the police had finally arrived. he sighed at auroras comment, shaking his head slightly as he turned to follow her. he fell in step with miss martian. he gave her a smile and offered his hand up for a high five. "was that your first real fight? cause you did really good!" he encouraged her. he was at least going to be friendly to all his teammates, even if no one else would.

  • ☀ isab'la j'onzz ☀

//sorry for my inactivity, I've been having some muse issues. should be back to normal now!

who knew this would have been so difficult? connor and dakota were getting their butts handed to them and she didn't know how to help. the lack of communication certainly didn't help. that was something they would have to work on, and something that they would probably get lectured over when they returned home. she could only imagine the disappointed looks they would get from the justice league. still, she needed to keep her head in the game so they could end this without anyone getting too injured. isab'la's mind snapped back into reality as aurora gave her instructions, the martian nodding firmly with a determined glint in her brown eyes. this was something that could potentially turn the tables in their direction and she couldn't afford to fail at it. before she could respond, striker was darting away towards the action. isab'la watched with a slightly worried expression, deciding that while aurora was fighting brick, she could keep the remaining goons away. it was time to let loose, though her father wouldn't be happy with her.

an armed man charged at her upon realizing his bullets didn't work and attempted to punch her in the face. what he wasn't expecting was for isab'la to whirl around and catch his arm fear coming across his face at her glowing eyes, as she easily tossed him to the side, rendering him unconscious. another man who was charging at aurora was subsequently launched into the air by a flick of her wrist. the young girl could already tell that she would get a bit of a headache later, but it was worth it to help her team. once she was satisfied by the number of men she had taken down, she lifted off into the air and awaited the signal. striker's yell was unmistakable in the chaos and isab'la wasted no time lifting her hand towards the crates, eyes glowing white, as she skillfully flung the heavy objects towards brick. pride swelled in her chest as the crates hit the villain, though he got up easily. as he mocked her teammate, it took all of her self control not to race over and give the man a swift upper cut, though she trusted aurora to see it through.

isab'la was right as aurora promptly jumped into action, sending an arrow in brick's direction that exploded into foam, locking the villain in place. the woman slowly touched down on the ground once more, turning her head as she heard the police sirens. without another word, and glancing back at the struggling brick, she quickly followed striker back towards the bioship, feeling both excited and drained. she turned her head to the side as dakota fell in step with her, seeing him lift his arm. while she was born on earth, she was practically raised alone and hidden from the rest of the world. still, she watched enough television to know what it was. she returned the high five with a bright smile, laughing softly. "it was my first real fight, yeah," she said thoughtfully, reflecting back. her father would train with her, but that didn't really count. besides, she knew that she wouldn't win if he actually put effort into it. "I just wish that I could control my powers a bit more, you know? maybe then I could have helped a little more..." she cast her eyes towards connor who, out of everyone, had sustained the most injury. as if feeling her eyes on him, connor looked up with a cold look, causing isab'la to quickly look away. he didn't seem too bothered, but she still felt bad. her father would have been able to take brick down within a few moments. compared to him, she was helpless. as they reached the ship, she waved her hand, causing it to open so they could all board.

    ☀ connor mckeller ☀

connor didn't have a moment to protest before dakota was popping his arm back into place, the pain receptor part of his ability kicking in to block any of the pain he was feeling. it always kicked in when he was in a threatening situation. it was as if his entire body had gone numb. something it was useful, but other times it wasn't as he was never able to tell how hurt he actually was. the dislocated shoulder didn't worry him in the slightest. it had been dislocated more times than he could count. however, he was very wary of any internal injury. those would always sneak up on him. the young man blinked and aurora seemed to appear in front of them and he couldn't help but role his eyes at her hero complex. of course this was happening. if she wanted so badly to take brick down, she could certainly take her shot at it. in the meantime, connor tested rolling his shoulders. they rolled smoothly and he gave dakota a curt nod which was about as close to a thanks that he would give.

a baton slid into his hand as brick charged, connor narrowing his eyes as power surged into his fists. using his shockwave ability would be close to catastrophic with his level of control and dinah would most definitely chew him out for it, but he wasn't about to get clobbered to death by a second rate super villain. however, before he could leap into action, several heavy crates went flying towards the big man, knocking him off his feet. connor's gaze quickly went to isab'la, eyes slightly widened in shock before his expression went back to normal. he had to remember not to get on her bad side, though he doubted that she had one. the next moment showed aurora shooting an arrow at brick that caused foam to envelop his body, locking him into place. the fight was over. the martian girl had managed to take out the rest of the thugs brick had hired. the next step was simply leaving before the police arrived. however, aurora turned before he could start walking, sending him a sarcastic remark, the blond clenching his teeth and jaw. joining this team had been a very bad idea.

trailing slightly behind the others, connor followed after the others towards the bioship, glad for his mask that hid his identity as the police arrived. he was certain that most of them would have recognized him. throughout his life, primarily before he met dinah a year earlier, he had gotten arrested for fighting on numerous occasions. the fact that police hadn't put two and two together was surprising, meaning they most likely wouldn't figure out who he was, but he didn't want to test that by sticking around. he boarded the bioship with the others, sitting down in his claimed seat. the feeling of pain still hadn't come back, though he didn't mind so much. there would be plenty of time to be sore tomorrow. avoiding eye contact with the others, he leaned back in the seat, coughing into his arm. when he looked, he spotted blood and suppressed an annoyed groan. that was a broken rib or two. fantastic. "get us the fuck out of here," he said to isab'la who knit her eyebrows together slightly as she took control of the ship, beginning the short flight back towards mount justice.
