Aria blushed some and looked away as she gently set Bella to bed and walked out to the hall to eat dinner.

Months passed and finally a messenger arrived and went to Rose to announce the somber news. "Your majesty, your husband has died in battle defending his home country"

Aria sighed “thank you. Make preparations to let the people mourn him”she ordered and sighed gently once alone again. She went to Bella and hugged her tight and explained her father was in heaven watching over her.

Theodore overheard the news and was saddened. He knew his brother was a terrible person, but still he was his brother. He came to Aria's room. "Are we giving the king a proper funeral?"

She nodded as Bella cried into her “I will make sure he gets a good send off”

"I can help you make it like how our kingdom would prepare it. We could combine traditions"

She nodded and in a fee weeks the funeral had come and gone. Bella was soon glowing though. The idea her dad watched over her motivated her a lot. Aria was busy working now that she had no husband she knew the council would soon be presssuring her again. Mostly to have a male heir.

Theodore had decided to stay around watching over Bella while Aria worked. The council called Aria in to speak with her. "We know you may still be in grieving for your husband, but you need to marry again for the good of the kingdom. Is there a way you want to go about it this time?" one member asked

Aria sighed “Vincent gave his permission so I wish to marry prince Theodore “she replied “he’s from the same kingdom it will combine us again and the people will accept him easier”she spoke quietly

"If he can still provide those two things, then we approve of your choice. He is liked by the people from what he's done for them. We expect your union to be in a few months time"

She nodded some and soon left the meeting. She decided to see if it would happen naturally rather than formally. She smiled seeing him with Bella “how have you two been?”

"We've been doing alright, Bella's slowly warming up to me" Theodore admitted watching Bella move about the room

“That’s good”she sat down and Bella ran to her for a hug and handed her a drawing “thank you baby”

"How have your duties been treating you?"

“The council are on my case again but I’ve come to a compromise with them”she smiled some.

"Mind telling me the compromise?" Theodore asked

She looked away some “they asked me about marriage and I said I would like to marry you so they said they expect it to happen in a couple of months”she replied
