She sighed gently before saying goodbye. She returned to her daughters room and hugged her close.

Theodore knocked on the door of the nursery. "Do you mind some company?"

She opened it and nodded “Vincent has gone off to the war for his homeland”she replied quietly “he was very..kind in his possible last moments with me”

Theodore went over to her. "Perhaps he wanted to leave a positive image for your last image of him"

She nodded some more “I think he feared he wouldn’t return”she sat down and Bella ran to them and sat on her mothers lap.

"What will you do if he doesn't?" he asked

“He said I have to do something that makes me happy I believe he spoke of me moving on to you.”she said bluntly

"You think I can make you happy? Put the book assigning us aside, base this on how we've gotten to know each other"

“I believe we have time to get to know each other better and be happier”she replied looking away as Bella played with her hair.

Theodore nodded and looked at Bella. "She looks so pretty"

Bella hid her face in her mother shyly. It made aria laugh “yes well she’s got her fathers eyes but my face. Vincent didn’t like that to begin with but soon warmed up to her”

"After five years, he finally learned to care for other people"

“I think he mostly cared for Bella..”she hummed “but I think that was enough for me.”

"Did he ever care for you?"

She chuckled gently “of course not he cared not for women. But he said that of all the women he had harmed not one had bared his child and so I was slightly above the rest”she hugged her girl gently “I suppose that was his way of caring. “

"That does sound like his twisted logic" he sighed

“Yes”she breathed as Bella slowly looked at him “hi”she managed.

Theodore waved at bella. "Hi there"

Bella smiled some and aria chuckled “she’s a very meek girl..”
