It was a stormy winter night in the small kingdom of Vaicia. Most were asleep at this point in the night and there was little noise not counting the storm. There was a hooded figure running through the storm to the palace. He begged the guards at the gate to allow him inside. They were hesitant at first, but allowed him in. He was sent to the throne room to await the princess and the council to decide what to do with him

Aria hadn’t slept too well that night but she soon was summoned. Her parents had passed away a few days prior so she was in charge. Which only added more pressure. She went to her throne to see the stranger “get him some towels”she ordered “what is your name?”she wanted to help. Her parents were known for being cruel and had ruined their kingdom. Now she had to fix it.

The hooded figure slowly looked up at the princess and removed his hood to show his face. "M-my name is Prince Theodore and I ask that you will allow me to take refuge in your home" he explained. He looked at Aria taking in her features trying to see if she was like her parents before her or something new

Aria was surprised by this “but..”she frowned “Prince forgive me but you have a kingdom..”she soon realised something bad must of happened “I will allow you to seek refuge.”she granted it “but I cannot tell you for how long”

"I did have a kingdom, but I can't return otherwise I'll be dead" Theodore admitted. He explained to her how he practiced magic in his home kingdom, but that was something outlawed by his father and he had been caught by him. He was sentenced to death, but he escaped. "I can repay you for allow me to stay for a while" he offered

Aria listened some and decided that it was fair “we’ve had a failed harvest. If that’s something you can fix then please do”she sighed and stood up “get him a room and some clothes and a meal”she ordered her servants

"I can help with that. Thank you for your kindness, I promise there will be changes for the harvest in the morning" Theodore assured. He was led off to a room and he tried to find himself to be familiar with his new surroundings. He glanced down at his knapsack and looked for something to help with the harvest. He found a spell to help the harvest grow more than it would in a normal season. By the time morning came, the kingdom would wake up to some signs of improvement in the fields for the harvest

Aria was in shock over it all. She went to see for herself and went down to see farmers and their families working hard with smiles saying it was a blessed crop. She returned to the castle for breakfast and had invited the prince to dine with her.

Theodore had a lot taken out of him from performing the spell, but was glad to see the people happy the next morning. He changed into the new clothing he had been given and went to the dining hall sitting near Aria. "How are your crops?"

“They have come to harvest. I can only thank you so much. I love to see my people so happy”she said as she began to eat.

"You're welcome, is there anything else I can help you out with?" Theodore asked before beginning to eat

“I will think over it”she sighed some as she continued eating and soon was finished “there has been a few diseases going around I’m not sure if you can help me with that”

"You could describe the illness and I could try and make something to help with it. The people would have to come here for me to heal them though"

“It’s a sort of fungus..”she replied and ordered a guard to gather them up”you may come see them let’s go”she stood and walked down to the main hall to see a line of peasants

He followed after her and inspected each of the people in line noticing the same problems with them. He turned to his book searching for a cure and looked at Aria. "I need some ingredients for this potion to help these people" he admitted. He pointed out the ingredients asking if she had any

She got a servant to investigate and by lunch had all the i grief ants “here sire”the servant replied and aria smiled

Theo thanked the servant and went to work on the potion. He finished and went to treat her subjects suffering. Once he finished they slowly were showing signs of healing, but it would take some time

Aria had a banquet for the patients. She was a lot more generous than her parents and they thanked them both for the food and healing and returned home. She smiled some “it’s so rewarding to see them happy and healthy..”

"It feels good to be able to help people out with what I've learned. I wanted to do this in my own kingdom, but things weren't meant to be there"

“Well seems like you fit right in here”she chuckled before a council
Ember arrived “we require you mam”he said and aria sighed “excuse me”she was gone for serveal hours before returning to the great hall to think.
