    BASICS

    ❀ Aimee Lancaster

    ❀ Cisgender female

    ❀ 23 (Birthday is September 12th)

    ❀ 4'11 || Light brown eyes || Lean build

    ❀ Homosexual

    ❀ "The Doe-Eyed Beauty"

    & PERSONALITY

❀ she's very... soft. she's the kind of girl to cry for no reason purely out of stress.

❀ puts a lot of pressure on herself- she has to always do better than her best, always put 120% into everything she does.

❀ skittish & anxious. definitely not the kind of girl that comes to mind when you think bartender, because not only does she hate attention, she gets really uncomfortable when men hit on her.

❀ but alas. after failing out of high school, she didn't really have a lot of options. she does her job well, making sure every glass and every type of whiskey is organized alphabetically. and usually, someone will notice her discomfort and help her out.

❀ the amount of care she puts into her job is ironic, because she often forgets to take basic care of herself (minus personal hygiene)

❀ one time she went a full day without eating or drinking on pure accident

❀ doesn't sleep that much, often looks kinda dead.

❀ she gives off really innocent vibes- and for the most part, she is- but it's really easy for her to become "corrupted" for lack of a better term

❀ easily manipulated and impressionable. if someone tells her to do something, she'll do it. especially if there's something in it for her.

❀ also, she used to have a much better moral compass, but she's been kinda on her own lately and really couldn't survive with it. so she's abandoned it.

❀ that being said, she does have a very guilty mind. it's getting a lot easier to do things in the name of survival, but it costs her a lot of sleep and mental energy.

    & BACKGROUND

❀ both parents are alive, also has one older sister who was kicked out of the house a while ago.

❀ her parents are huge perfectionists, and though they don't realize it half the time, they expect way too much out of aimee. they threw a hissy fit when they found out she wasn't top of her class.

❀ her sister got kicked out because she wasn't perfect. she had tattoos, a girlfriend, stayed out late, and wasn't that smart. the breaking point was when she brought home her girlfriend unannounced- her room was cleaned out within the next 48 hours.

❀ it scared the hell out of aimee. she's still really close with her sister, one of the only secrets she's managed to hide from her parents.

❀ this all went down during sophomore year. since then, she pushed herself like mad. she ended up passing out five times between sophomore and senior year.

❀ it was all too much for aimee. it got so bad she was going three days at a time without sleeping, doing nothing but studying and homework. even though she knew everything in every textbook, she fell asleep in class too often & was too fatigued to ever do well on tests. so she flunked out. which made her parents kick her out.

❀ since then, she's lived with her sister and her girlfriend, who co-owned a bar at the time. the minute aimee was of-age to work as a bartender, her sister hired her and she's been there ever since.

❀ it's been tough, to say the least. the bar is a frequent crime spot, with stabbings and robberies galore. neither of the three women make nearly enough money, and it's driven aimee to do a lot of things she regrets.

❀ but oddly enough, the more petty theft she does, the more she's starting to love the thrill that comes with it.

    ❀ it's probably fine.

    & EXTRA

❀ she has a stutter. it usually only comes out when she's nervous, not so much when she's stressed.

❀ she has Generalized Anxiety Disorder & Social Anxiety Disorder, though due to money problems and a lack of healthcare, both are going untreated.

❀ doesn't have natural freckles, but draws them on every morning

❀ LOVES tough girls^tm. she's very shy around every cute girl ever but bad girls^tm make her SWOON.

❀ if you've ever worn a leather jacket there's a 99 percent chance aimee is in love with you

❀ loves horror movies. they scare the hell out of her, but they're so exciting to her.

❀ voice claim = lana del rey || faceclaim = natalia dyer

    ❀ needs love

  • Down the street from the bar, in the small town where all was desolate, sat a small motel. Like the town, the motel too was rather desolate; only a few people in the many rooms that were available. Carson was one of them, one of the few who occupied the motel, inside a room with a man she hardly knew but a man that knew too much of her in that hour they were with each other. He owned her for that hour, and explored every inch of her body in ways that made her nauseous. But he promised her cash, the only desire she had; the only desire she needed and not wanted. He took the whole hour and seemed to savor it like she was his new love, his only desire, and perhaps she was. Her and the crack he smoked prior to the festivities. When the hour was up, like a clock, she shoved him away, and he accepted it with a hoarse chuckle and a smile that she wanted to rip off his face. When he handed her bills she was quick to count it, and unlike him, she stood there unsatisfied. He promised her more, and when pressed, he warned her to back down. He flashed a blade towards her, the stained metal inches away from her pretty face. So she backed down, and he walked out with a smile.

Caron cursed furiously, her hands formed into fists as they came into contact with the drywall. Once, twice, three times, she punched the wall until the skin over her knuckles broke and exposed the blood underneath. She needed the money and she needed it quick but to have to spend another hour with another man made her nauseous. Then she saw the handgun that sat on the table. It was the man's, but with him no where to be seen, she took ownership with a new idea formed in her mind. She knew of the bar that was across the street. It was perhaps the busiest place in the whole town, making it a business that would acquire a lot of money. Money that she could take, on this quiet afternoon, with a loaded weapon in her hand as reassurance. Her odds were decent in this situation, and so out of desperation, she slipped the black weapon into her leather jacket pocket and walked out of the motel room. She paused a moment only to watch as a child rode by her on a tricycle, a smile on their face that reminded her of someone she hadn't seen in quite some time. Maybe one day soon they would see each other again and all would turn out well like she used to secretly hope.

The bar was more lonesome than Carson had anticipated on arrival. Only a few people were inside, many of them customers who were hardly conscious. The only person she knew was the man she had spent that dreary hour with an hour before. Now he was at the bar, flirting with the bartender. An intense emotion suddenly came over her, one that she could not decipher, but one that washed over her nonetheless. She pulled the handgun from her pocket and pointed it at him, her eyes narrow in hatred. He looked back at her with a smirk, challenging her position. He didn't think she would pull the trigger, but she smirked back at him, knowing she would. And she did. Within seconds a bullet flew through the air and came into contact with his forehead. The shot broke the silence, and his blood stained the bar. Carson lowered the weapon only to see what remained on the floor, which was not much. Then she aimed again, this time in a place no man would want to be shot. That one was payback for that hour in the motel room where he treated her like she was beneath him and then abandoned her with hardly any money. It made her sick, but there was no time to puke now.

Then she remembered the shaken bartender to her side. Carson looked over at her, her lips curved into a small frown. Carson knew she had made a mistake; she shouldn't of done that. She should have demanded the money and then ran out as soon as it touched her hands. Now matters were much more complicated. "He raped me," she quickly lied to the woman, who seemed to stand there in shock. There was no need for Carson to explain herself, and yet she did, for some reason wanting to reassure the woman that she was not a bad person. Maybe it was because the woman was so beautiful. If the situation didn't involve murder and robbery, Carson would have wanted to impress the woman. But now she only scared her. She slowly raised the gun once more, this time more hesitantly, as she pointed it at the pretty bartender. "I need all the money," she demanded slowly, motioning towards the cash register. "Give me all the money, and I won't shoot." she reassured. The man's blood was beginning to pool at her feet, her worn combat boots now stained with red. The other customers hadn't even stirred, too drunk to open their eyes when Carson fired the shot.

  • aimee knew there was something off about today from the moment she woke up, cuddled up close to her sister and her girlfriend. she couldn't describe it, couldn't put a name to it if you asked; it just felt weird. felt different- dangerous. but she couldn't stop her entire day just because of a nameless feeling, so of course, she got up and jumped right into the shower, doing her best not to wake anyone up in the process. by this point, she was used to the routine, could probably do it in her sleep if she had to. get up, shower, get dressed, walk to the bar, do some shopping, help settle bills and debts, go to sleep, then do it all over again. it was nearly unbearable- mundane on a good day. it was a terrible life to live, but alas, it was aimee's.

and so she got to work. showering didn't take long, with dressing even less time-consuming considering all she had to do was dig her uniform out of the dryer. it wasn't skimpy, it wasn't modest either. at least it was exciting, aimee mused, carelessly throwing the shirt and skirt on. seemingly satisfied after a quick glance in the mirror, aimee went to make herself breakfast, before realizing there wasn't enough for all three girls to eat this morning. the rumbling deep in her stomach almost persuaded her into making a bowl of cereal anyways; the twang in her heart convinced her to just rush out the door and steal something on the way home. she needed the adrenaline hit anyways (a fact she'd yet come to terms with). after writing down a good morning note for her roommates to wake up to, she was off, armed with nothing but a water and a cheekily-hidden bottle of pepper spray.

the shift started normally enough. not to say it was anything close to pleasant- there were still old men hitting on her and poor tippers aplenty, but nothing out of the ordinary enough to truly confirm her suspicions of this being the worst day ever. that was, until one specific man strode over to her. there was something sinister about him, something aimee'd rarely seen in the eyes of men before. most men only hit on her drunkenly, halfheartedly if sober. but this man wanted more than aimee could offer him, and was more than willing to take it should he see the opportunity. it was like he owned the place, like aimee was nothing more than a piece of his property. a decoration. an object he could do whatever he wanted with. discretely, her hands drifted into the waistband of her skirt, fingering for the little bottle she'd kept prepared for this moment.

and then, the second oddball of the morning entered the scene. she looked like a bat out of hell, hair disheveled and lipstick smudged, eyes edged in a harsh scowl. she drew closer to the two of them, time seeming to slow down for aimee as she could do nothing but watch the shitstorm unfold in front of her. the woman raised a gun, smirked, and fired. right into his skull, leaving the poor bartender splattered with blood and brain matter. if she wasn't so terrified, she might have screamed for the police, might have tried to call her sister for some backup, might have done anything besides watch as the woman stepped over his dead body and set her sights on her.

"i-i believe you." carson was lucky she'd shot such an evil man in front of such an impressionable girl. aimee had hoped that would be the end of it, that maybe the gun was only still raised on accident. carson's next sentence shot that dream dead. "i don't - i can't. i-i can't afford my rent without it, shit." aimee's fingers wrapped tight around the bottle, still sitting pretty out of sight. briefly, she considered it, before remembering that a little bit of pepper spray would do jack shit against a fucking bullet in her head. "please, i won't t-tell anyone... about this. i-i'll even, um, c-clean up the body for you. i just- please don't sh-shoot." thinking on her feet (something aimee was never good at), she started spewing any and everything she could to try and buy her more time. she just needed to not get shot for a few minutes. then her sister would come in and scare the woman off, and they'd be able to buy dinner next week, and it'd all be okay. as long as her sister didn't get shot too- "there are c-cameras. if the police come, a-and they want to look at the footage, they'll e-easily be able to pick out your face. b-but i can delete them." honestly, if things were even just a little bit different, aimee'd be begging to join carson in her man-shooting escapades. well, maybe not the actual murder part, but now that the idea of robbing a bank with such a pretty woman on her arm was in her head, she couldn't get it out. it was exciting- the first exciting thought she'd had since high school. "please. i-i'll do anything else, i-i just can't give you any money."
