Erik suddenly froze. He looked down, and there was a sword through his chest. As he fell, it revealed a quivering Eira behind him, her hands covered in blood.

Zero stepped back slowly, lowering his arms to his sides and lowering his weapon.
"..."
-
Eira's gaze shifted from her hands to her father's body. She began sobbing, unable to control herself any longer.
-
Zero himself rarely showed emotion, but... now seemed necessary.
Dropping his swords, he walked forward and took her into a gentle but supportive hug.
"First time killing someone...?"
-
Eira nodded. She closed her eyes as she rested against him. Her entire body was trembling. "I never wanted to kill him," she admitted softly. "He was my father."
-
He held her closely, slowly shutting his eyes.
"And that's fair enough, he was your father... but was he good? How he treated you... his people, his dragons... just because family are those closest to you, it don't always mean you should immediately always stick up for them..."
-
Eira raised her head, looking up at him. "I know," she finally told him softly. She then lowered her head again, unable to bear anyone's gaze.
-
His eyes softened as he hugged her close, before slowly gazing upwards towards the two dragons...
Phosphora was barely holding herself up in flight, twitching and sparking with uncontrolled electricity, growling quietly before slumping, her wounds becoming too much to handle.
-
Moon suddenly appeared. She tackled the far larger male dragon, giving Phospora time to flee. The two battling dragons began falling towards the water at an alarming speed.
-
The skrill looked down and watched them falling, instead deciding to start diving down after the other two.
-
At the last moment, the two broke apart. One flew in one direction, the other in the opposite direction. They both disappeared into the clouds.
-
The skrill wanted to continue fighting, she had to...!
Flapping her wings again, she forced herself back up into the sky and looked around for either of them.
-
Moon appeared several minutes later. The young dragon was covered in wounds, and she was barely able to stay in the air. But she went to the skrill's side anyway. She was not going to leave her again.
-
She looked towards Moon with soft eyes before looking around again for the larger male.
-
There was no sign of the male. He seemed to have fled.
-
The skrill flinched as her wings slowed, having to lower herself back down to the boat slowly
-
Moonflower landed beside her. Eira sighed in relief seeing the dragons. She went directly to them, checking on them. Moon began sniffing her immediately, worried with all the blood on her rider. "I'm alright, Moon. It's not mine," she assured her. The dragon glanced from her to Zero, clearly confused.
-
Zero nodded with a gentle smile, before hearing the thump as Phosphora hit the ground and laid there exhaustedly.
"Phos?"
"Zzng..."
-
Eira looked at the other dragon, concerned. She then looked back at Zero. She was not sure what to do with herself at that moment.
-
"..." Zero looked back to her, before closing his eyes.
"We have to go let everyone else know what's happened... and once everything comes back, we... we could even give your father a proper funeral, if... if you care enough"
