  • Grayson looked out at the window of the attic of his home as a moving van park out front and a family came towards the house. He was surprised anyone had even bought the house. He had been trying his best to get people way from the house wanting to be alone. He watched the family enter the house and noticed how happy they all looked. It made him feel sad missing his family who he hadn't seen in so long. He noticed one member of the family, a guy his age and seemed curious about him

  • Cole was a bit nervous to move into a new house once again. His father ended up getting a new job in a new tone. He carefully got out of the car and looked around. At least the house seemed to be really nice. He walked inside with his parents, continuing to look around. He moved to go explore the house.

  • Cole's parents were glad to be in a new home where they could have a new start with a new position for Cole's dad. Cole's mom turned to Cole. "Hey, while we unload the truck, how about you look around and tell me what you find?" she suggested noticing her husband already on his phone with the new business firm

  • Cole’s eyes had turned and were focused completely on his father already being on the phone. He knew that nothing would change here. Everything would just end up being the same for them. He slowly looked back to his mother, nodding his head a little. “Okay.” He spoke gently. He then moved to go explore.

  • As he moved around, everything in the house was pretty much empty except for the boxes being brought in. Then there came the attic that was a treasure trove of items from past owners including a family portrait from the 80s that included mom, dad, and three kids with a young man being the middle child. That was Grayson and he frowned looking at that portrait. He watched Cole wondering if he would come inside

  • Cole just seemed to be quite sad now. He didn’t know what to do or anything else along those lines. He just felt completely alone. It wasn’t long before he came into the attic, looking around curiously. “At least I’ll be able to get away from everyone here. I hate that we had to move again. It is all dad’s fault.” He mumbled to himself.

  • Grayson floated over to him looking him over. He was invisible to him for the moment trying to see if he should reveal himself to him. "Hey at least you're still with your family" he muttered before covering his mouth realizing he had spoken alive

  • Cole heard the voice, eyes widening when he did. He looked around with wide eyes then. Maybe he had just been imaging it all. His heart was pounding in his chest though. “Is anyone here?” He asked gently.

  • Grayson muttered a curse knowing her probably freaked out the kid. He already knows you're here, might as well show yourself he thought. He slowly revealed himself in front of Cole. "Hi" he greeted already expecting Cole to freak out

  • Cole lifted up his gaze to look at the figure in front of him. He still seemed a bit nervous and scared, but also curious. “H-Hi? Who are you?” He asked gently. He didn’t know exactly how to feel at the current moment in time and it showed.

  • "I'm Grayson Philips, I used to live here about 40 or so years ago. Please don't freak out, I'm not going to harm you" Grayson promised trying to make things calm for Cole

  • Cole still seemed to be very unsure about all of this. He was breathing a little heavily, hugging himself a little bit. “I’m trying not to. I didn’t know ghosts were real.” He admitted.

  • Cole bit his bottom lip as he thought about it all for s little bit. “My biggest question is how? How are you able to be here right now?” He asked gently. He was trying to be polite to him and it showed.
