    BASICS

    ❀ felicity wessex-moore

    ❀ twenty-five (feburary 23rd)

    ❀ cisgender female

    ❀ lesbian

    ❀ "the drug-addict turned cop"

    & BACKGROUND

❀ felicity was born to candice and rodger wessex-moore

❀ they lived a pretty good life. middle class, good homelife, no major issues. except for felicity's older sister georgie that is.

❀ georgie was a drug addict. it was nobody's fault; she was older than felicity by about three years, someone offered her just a bit of cocaine senior year, and she took it. she just wanted to try it obviously, but soon she found herself addicted.

❀ georgie didn't have the money to buy more, so when someone offered her a freebie if she brought her sister for some fun, georgie couldn't say no.

❀ felicity refused at first, but didn't want to disappoint her sister, who'd always been there for her and always helped her through the rough patches

    ❀ so she did it.

❀ it fucked her up. it fucked her whole family up. felicity started drinking and doing drugs to forget about it, georgie got kicked out and hasn't been heard from since, her dad didn't know who to blame and thus, put all the blame onto felicity. this, in turn, drove her to addiction more.

❀ by junior year she was exactly where her sister was when it all went down. desperate, in terrible shape, nearly flunking out of every class. she even started shoplifting to help support her habit. which, you know, went about as well as you'd expect it to.

❀ she got arrested. her dad wouldnt help at all, mom was too strained to do anything. it looked like her life was over.

❀ until she met police officer sandy muller. sandy saw the good in felicity, saw who she used to be and how she ended up like this, and offered to listen to her story. truly listen.

❀ sandy had connections. she pulled some strings and got felicity the lowest sentence possible, even managed to get her record wiped clean. as long as felicity promised to get help

❀ sandy acted as her guide from there on out. taking her to AA meetings, giving her advice, acting as her sponsor. eventually, sandy took over as felicity's honorary mother. sandy and her wife became felicity's unofficial parents, and were what inspired felicity to become a cop.

❀ she pulled together her grades senior year, and graduated with amazing grades. she went on to become a rookie cop by twenty-five, entering the force right as sandy retired.

    & PERSONALITY | HABITS

    ❀ kinda quiet and reserved

❀ she doesn't open up to people quick, though there are some people she can tell are trustworthy right off the bat.

❀ she's grown to become a great judge of character over the years

❀ has big trust issues. it takes a lot to get her to really trust you

❀ doesn't sleep often. she gets just enough to get her by, then continues on with her day.

❀ acts very tough, but she's a big BIG softie. especially for cute girls and little kitties

❀ she can and will beat the shit out of anyone she needs to, but she's very gentle with the people she arrests provided they're not terrible people. she's actually quite nice and polite about it, taking punches and kicks without so much as a complaint. she knows people act their worst when they're going through their worst times.

❀ that being said, she often gives people too many chances. she gets burnt a lot, nearly costing her her job sometimes.

❀ she's trying her best. a bit of a perfectionist, she feels like she has to make up for all of her many, many mistakes, and often feels as if she's done too much harm to redeem.

❀ that's why she can never let a case go. she brings her work home with her every day and lets herself get overwhelmed by it.

also sorry this took a while!! i had my first panic attack yesterday and it killed my mood to write sdkfjkadsjfkasj

felicity wasn't looking forward to this- not one bit. don't get me wrong-felicity loved her job more than anything in the world. in fact, it was felicity's world, as far as she was concerned. but there was something about this case, about the woman she was meeting and the situation she was stepping (quite blindly, she might add) into. it sat heavy in her heart; sunk to the bottom of her stomach. sisters were always a touchy subject for felicity, and knowing the deceased's own father was a suspect only made it worse. he was ruled out pretty early on in the investigation, but the fact he was even considered was enough for felicity to feel like throwing up.

alas, there wasn't anything she could do about it. felicity had been assigned to tackle this infamously cold case, and she'd never forgive herself if she didn't even give it an honest go. so she did. she got in her snazzy police cruiser, drove down to the address she had written out on a pink post-it note, and knocked twice on the wooden door. felicity's hands absentmindedly felt their way down to the hem of her button-up shirt, picking nervously at the hem of the fabric as she waited for any signs of life. it was nerve wracking. this was her first time handling anything like this- was the family even notified that the case was reopened? did they even want to keep looking? would they be angry at felicity, try to throw her out (or worse)? she didn't have time to think about it, thoughts thankfully interrupted when a young woman finally opened the door.

"hello. i don't know if you were told this, but um," taking in a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down. "i'm with nypd. we've decided to take another look at the murder of lena crosby. i'm assuming you're lilliana?" felicity was given the important bits of information- names, ages, addresses- which yes, was a comfort, but still no indication on how they'd react to her showing up. "i was sent to just touch base today. y'know, see if there's any new information you or your family's become aware of, if you had any questions or concerns. stuff like that." god, she had no idea what she was doing. she just hoped it didn't show. fear and uncertainty only really led to the worst situations, after all. chest rising and falling steadily, sternum pressing against the rough fabric of her bullet-proof vest, she continued, "i'll be back regularly. though, it would be easier if we could meet somewhere more public. like a coffee shop, or a diner, or something." one: it would be much harder for one of them to shoot her in a crowded restaurant, and two: felicity had to skip like two meals this week because she was so busy with work, and regular restaurant meetings would let her eat and work at the same time. "oh, geez- i haven't even introduced myself, have i? i'm felicity wessex-moore from the homicide unit." she flashed the woman her badge, as if that meant something.

  • Lillian

it's liike a year without rain

(apologies for no picture. I have to use my phones hot spot for the moment and it does not like tumblr or loading pictures in general)

For sixteen years Lilliana had been any only child. Being the center of her parents attention was all the high spirited girl could ask for. Toys a plenty, so many cloths she could wear something new each day of the year, and a room big enough to fit her bed and a sofa. She had it all.

Until she turned sixteen. As she sat stunned in silence at her sweet sixteen birthday party, the cheers from friends, family members and whoever else had decided to show could not overcome her shock. In her hands she held an infants onesie, on the front read "Can't wait to meet you, sissy! July 4th, 2013". She held her frustration in for the rest of the party, bust was quick to let her feelings be known once everyone had gone home for the night.

But that had been nearly six years ago now. She hadn't been prepared in the slightest to love her sister as deeply as she did. As she still does. It had been nearly ten months since her disappearance. It hadn't even seemed that long ago, but here they where. The police did nothing to help. Only a few meek attempts where made before they disposed of her case. Dubbing it with "large lack or evidence". Lil had lost her faith in their law system years ago, but not she was just enraged with it.

When the early morning knock at her door echoed through her families small cottage she wasn't prepared for company in the slightest. She was sprawled on the couch, a can of whip cream cliched in her left hand while her right hand scrolled through one of her various social media accounts.

She wore a thin and faded band shirt, the collar cut allowing it to fall off one shoulder, and come red and blue plaid pajama pants. She opened the door rather harshly, the sun instantly burning her puffy and reddened eyes.

It hadn't been the best night.

She listened to the stranger introduce herself and explain why she was interrupting her Netflix binge. Then the news she never thought she'd hear again. "They're re-opening the case?" she blinked, her mind still processing the real possibility at finding her little sister once again.

    "Speech."
