    Daughter of the Headless Horseman

Kolbie headed to the tree, getting ready to climb up it. Horus grabbed her arm gently, her eyes snapping to him. She was confused about him and didn't want to get in between Ana and him. A relationship isn't worth a friendship. Adonis and her had to learn that the hard way. He had gotten with a vampire and forgot about her. The vampire would keep him from her constantly and she was extremely jealous over their friendship. Adonis broke up with her and came back to being her friend, or more like her brother. She didn't have enough time to answer Horus before Ana was telling her to climb up. She grunted softly as she pulled herself up with Horus's help. He was strong for someone who didn't really look like it. He easily picked her up so she could reach a branch to pull herself up and on top of the tree. The tree was rough under palms as she crawled over to the end of the branch. She huffed as she landed on her feet on the other side of the fence. Looking back to the other side of the fence, she saw her brother climbing up the tree. A sigh of relief poured out of her mouth as he landed next to her, brushing himself off. She pulled a small leaf out of his already messy hair and flicked it onto the ground. Horus landed on the ground next to them and looked over at Ana, hearing guards.

Adonis landed on his feet on the other side of the fence. He brushed himself off and looked over at Kolbie, seeing her pull a leaf from his head. He rolled his eyes and heard Horus climbing down from the tree. Guards came pouring in just as Ana was getting ready to climb the fence. Horus ran to the fence and Adonis went to go pull him back before he decided to accidentally touched the electric fence. Horus stopped himself and they all sat there in panic as guards surrounded Ana. She growled and transformed into a huge beast. Adonis backed up slightly and leaned over towards Kolbie's ear. "That's a big bitch." He whispered. Kolbie punched him in the face without hesitation. Her knuckles connecting with his jaw. He groaned and grabbed a hold of his jaw, trying too adjust it back into place. Ana growled out run and Horus immediately grabbed Kolbie's hands before bolting into the woods. He let go of his jaw, shaking his head to try and shake the pain away before following after them, looking back as Ana tore into the guards.

Anastacia huffed as she looked to the side and saw her friends taking off into the woods. She watched them go for a moment before a guard shot at her. She growled in pain as the bullet grazed her arm. She looked to the guard with wild and dangerous eyes. She grabbed him and threw him against a cabin, hearing a loud crack. She fought off the guards, growling and huffing as she did so. She had torn into a few dozen guards before she knew she had to escape. She looked toward the fence. She sprinted toward the fence, launching herself into the air. She jumped over the electric fence and barely missed the barbed wire at the top. She landed on the other side with a heavy thud. She panted as she looked back at the guards. They were bloodied and broken, most of them dead. She growled, glaring at the humans as she still tasted their blood in her mouth. She was injured, she had been shot multiple times. It didn't hurt as bad as some of the pain she had endured but even Alpha Werewolves weren't immune to bullets. She sprinted off into the forest, sniffing at the air. She smelt Horus. He was hiding. She followed after his scent and a few minutes, she came across a river. She saw the stepping stones across the river and she transformed back into her human form. She groaned in pain as she dropped onto her hands and knees. Her hair and face were bloody, as were her hands and where she had been shot. She grunted in pain as she pushed herself to stand. She walked over the stepping stones and made it to the other side of the river. She made it to the other side of the river and sniffed the air once more. She followed Horus' scent a little up the mountain and she moved to follow it, wincing. She came across a seemingly empty cave and sniffed inside. "Horus." Her voice was hoarse and pained. She stepped inside the cave and moved through the darkness until she saw a fire in the distance. She came up to the fire and saw Horus and the others gathered around the fire. It was then that the pain was overwhelming for her. She wasn't going to die, she knew that. But she needed to get these bullets out of her so she could heal. They were silver bullets, after all. She collapsed onto the ground with a whimper, her stomach bleeding from where she had been shot.

Horus grunted, fighting back the need to go back and defend Ana. He hated that he had left her to fight on her own. Sure, she was a powerful girl but he was a Demi-God. He could take out those guards. But he had ran. He had to make sure Adonis and Kolbie were safe. Horus knew Ana would give him hell if he had helped her fight rather than get them to safety. So, he did what he knew was best. He ran. He held Kolbie's hand all the way, sprinting through the trees and ducking under low branches. He didn't know these woods well but he would come to learn them. He moved through the brush and seemed to move as easily as an eagle through the wind. He kept his pace fast, knowing that they would need to keep moving. That they couldn't stop at the first shelter they sought out. They would be caught too easily if they had done something like that. He helped the both of them cross the river, moving on the stepping stones and maintaining his balance. He looked behind them as they crossed the river. Ana must still be fighting the guards. He frowned. He hoped she would be alright. He moved to run further into the mountains and kept running until he came across a move secluded cave. He guided Kolbie and Adonis into the cave and followed after them. He blinked and looked around the cave, thankful for his nocturnal eyes. He moved through the darkness before they got far enough in the cave. He sat down on the cave floor and ripped at his shirt, grabbing a few random sticks and leaves from inside the cave. He sparked a fire with two sharp rocks and sighed as the area around them began to warm up. They were like this for a few moments before Horus heard footsteps. He whipped his head to the side. He saw Ana approaching then and then she collapsed. He jumped up and ran over to her, picking her up in his arms. He brought her over toward the fire and examined her. He saw the bullet wound on her stomach. The one that had grazed her arm was slowly healing. He just had to get the one out of her stomach. He lifted her shirt and ran a hand through his hair. "I-I need something sharp to get the bullet out." Horus said quickly as he looked to Adonis and Kolbie.

Kolbie followed after Horus into the woods, her right hand holding onto his as tightly as she could. They weaved carefully through the trees. She didn't know where they were going, but she had to trust Horus. She would glance back behind her, seeing Adonis follow a couple inches behind them. Her breath was starting to get short and she hated herself for not doing anything athletic at school. They made it to a river and Horus quickly helped her and Adonis cross. Finally, they made it to a cave. It was dark, but she thrived in the dark and she knew Adonis did, too. She walked into the very back and sat down on the cold hard ground. She took a deep breath and watched Horus make a fire. Warmth filled the cave instantly and she instantly felt safe. Adonis piled up next to her and stared into the fire. She looked back over at Horus and frowned. She hoped that Ana was going to be alright and able to make it back to them. They didn't seem to like each other very well, but that didn't mean she wanted her to die. She sighed heavily and leaned against the wall, getting comfortable. She snapped up as footsteps sounded from the front of the cave. She jumped up in time to see Ana collapsing onto the ground.

Adonis jumped up with Kolbie, instinctively putting her behind him. Ana collapsed on the ground, asking for something sharp. He pat himself down and found a pocket knife that he had stashed in the waistband of his jeans. "I hid it from the teachers." He spoke before handing it to Horus.

  • 595x.gifAnastacia Reigna Jekyll

Daughter of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

Anastacia could feel Horus grab her and carry her closer to the fire. She panted softly and pain racked through her body. The adrenaline had dropped from her body and now she was just left in agonizing pain. She shook as blood began to seep through her shirt. Horus lifted her shirt and began to speak orders to the others. She tried to keep herself awake but everything was starting to get blurry and dizzy. She wanted to just take a nap, just a short one. Maybe she'd feel better once she woke up. She felt Kolbie come up beside her and she gently brushed the red hair from her face. Ana blinked slowly and she looked up at the girl. She supposed she wasn't a terrible person. She just didn't want to see Horus get hurt by some girl so Ana would always be protective. She wanted to protect the boy she loved as a brother and sometimes, she got too intense. She reminded herself to apologize once she was feeling better. Their voices became muffled as she faded in and out of consciousness. She fought hard to stay awake as Kolbie handed her something to bite down on. She bit hard and panted softly, her heart thundering in her chest. She waited a few moments before she felt agonizing pain from her stomach. Horus had began to dig the bullet out. She let out a scream which became muffled by the thing in her mouth to keep her from biting off her own tongue. And to muffle her screams so they wouldn't be caught. She felt tears well in her eyes and she clung to Kolbie, pain making her body shake. Horus continued to dig and she let out a deep sob, sweat beginning to bead her forehead. She grunted and felt her vision blurring. She shook her head and forced herself to stay awake as she felt weaker and weaker. Horus ripped the main part of the bullet from her stomach and she sobbed, gripping Kolbie as if her life depended on it. She had gotten through the toughest part. Now, came the smaller pieces. Horus dug back into the wound and she grunted in pain, throwing her head back as she squeezed her eyes shut. This went on for several minutes and finally, Horus was done. She was pale and barely conscious due to blood loss but she would be okay. She panted heavily and felt her body slowly begin to heal itself. She gulped thickly, her cheeks stained with tears. She let out a shaky exhale as Kolbie pulled the thing from her mouth. She heard Horus tell Adonis something but it wasn't coherent to her ears. She just felt Kolbie leave her side and she was replaced with Adonis. She gave the boy a weak smile and held onto him, knowing it was the only thing keeping her from falling unconscious. "I'm glad you guys made it out okay." Her voice was weak and shaking.

Horus quickly grabbed the knife from Adonis, nodding a thanks to the boy. He looked back toward Anastacia as she grunted in pain. He winced. He hated seeing his friend in pain and he knew how terrible silver bullets could be. She was part werewolf, after all. She had a weakness to silver. He kept her shirt lifted to expose her stomach and he motioned for Kolbie and Adonis to come over and help. "Kolbie, keep her still. This is going to be incredibly painful. Get something for her to bite down on." Horus spoke, his voice shaking but he tried his best to stay strong. He knew his best friend wouldn't die for such an injury but he was still frazzled from everything that had happened in the past thirty minutes. He sighed deeply and lifted his head to Adonis as Kolbie did as he had asked. "I'll need your help to wipe away any blood so I can see the bullet. Here." Horus handed Adonis a piece of his torn shirt, a fairly large piece. There would be a fair amount of bleeding and Horus had to make sure he got this bullet out quickly. He sighed and nodded to both of them. He clicked open the knife and took a deep breath. He began to use the knife as a wedge, trying his best to wiggle the bullet out. He did his best to tune out his friend's muffled screams and focus on the task at hand. His hands were covered in her blood and he looked to Adonis as he cleaned the blood from the wound. Adonis inhaled once more before he began to wiggle the knife once more. He grunted as he dug a little deeper. He clenched his jaw hard and within a few moments, he had tore the main part of the bullet from the wound. He tossed it away and then began to dig at the smaller pieces of bullet. Within ten minutes, he had all the pieces out and he sighed deeply. Adonis cleaned up the blood and the wound slowly began to heal. Horus looked down at his blood stained hands and then to his best friend. She was panting heavily, sweat beading her forehead and she looked as if she might pass out. He had to keep her awake, she was growing paler from the blood loss. Now that she was healing, she should slowly start feeling better. He looked to Adonis. "Keep her awake. She's lost alot of blood but her body will begin to heal herself now that the silver is out. I'm going to wash the blood off of me in the river." Horus spoke before standing and heading toward the entrance of the cave.

Kolbie moved away from Adonis, gently pushing him out of her way, and knelt down by Ana's head. She pulled her head into her lap and moved the red tendrils out of her face, giving her something to bite down on. She had completely forgot about the looks she had gotten earlier from Ana or how cold she had acted towards her. Ana had sacrificed herself so that the three of them could get away from the dangerous soldiers. Questions have been repeating themselves in her head since they got on the bus this morning and she had hoped that they would get answers soon. She didn't want to make it known, but inside, she was afraid. Afraid of what was going to come after them. Ana's muffled screams snapped her back to reality. She tried her best to calm her down by petting her hair and softly saying it was going to be okay over and over again. Her stomach churned slightly as she looked over at what Horus was doing. She quickly looked away, turning her attention back to Ana. After what seemed like forever, Horus was done and Adonis moved to take her place by Ana's side. She jumped up and practically ran out of the cave. Her heart was racing and she felt like she was going to be sick to her stomach. Normally, blood and guts wouldn't bother her, but it was Ana. They may not have had a good start to their relationship, but she cared about her.

Adonis followed Kolbie over to Ana's side and knelt down by Horus. Horus gave him instructions on how to help him and he followed them to the letter. He owed Ana his life and that was a debt he would do anything to repay. Her muffled screams didn't bother him as much as they seemed to bother the rest of the group. He was used to the howling screams of pain from the underworld. Horus was done and he went over to take Kolbie's place. She looked paler then usual. He comforted Ana the best way he knew possible, which was just petting her hair softly. Ana spoke and he smiled. "Of course, thanks to you." He grabbed her hand and squeezed softly. "Stay awake for me, okay? We need you to get better so you can kick some more ass, Red."

Anastacia felt weak. She knew she was going to be okay but she felt so exhausted. The pain had worn her out and she had very little energy left now. She sighed shakily as she looked up at Adonis. She smiled softly, almost glad to see him. Sure, she didn't particularly like him. She didn't like how he talked to her like she might his next conquest. He usually hated men like that and she had shut him down very harshly earlier. But now, as she stared up at him, she saw how handsome he truly was. She noticed the little features on him that most wouldn't be able to notice because they were so focused on whatever they could get from him. She was thankful that she could save them, all of them. She would always protect other mythical creatures, no matter what past feuds she may have with them or even her family. She refused to let anyone like her get hurt if she could help it. Which was why she had been the one to stay behind in the first place. She was one of the strongest in the group, physically. She could shift to a werewolf or the monster her father created, she was more of a threat to the humans than most. She noticed that Adonis was running his hands through her hair and she hummed softly at the feeling. Her body began to relax a bit and she felt almost at ease due to his gentle touch. She wouldn't have expected this side out of a man that was such a playboy. She supposed she couldn't judge a book by it's cover. She saw him smile and say that they escaped thanks to her. She sighed and blinked slowly. She was only ever the hero when it involved other people being in danger. She didn't go out of her way to be a good person and she supposed this was just karma catching up with her. Ana felt Adonis grab her hand and plead for her to stay awake, saying she needed to get better to kick some more ass. The redhead snickered weakly at his words and an almost sleepy smile graced her beautiful features. She squeezed his hand weakly. "Red? I like that. Well, for now." She teased, making a joke about him calling her the same nickname a few hours prior.

Horus jogged out of the cave and made his way to the river right by the cave. He stripped off his shirt, revealing his rippling muscles in the sunlight. He knelt on the riverbed and dipped his hands into the river. He washed the blood off of his hands and felt his lower lip begin to tremble. He kept hearing Ana's muffled screams and he felt his anger rising in his body. He was angry at himself for letting his best friend stay behind and get hurt. They had made a vow when they were children to always protect each other and he had failed. He scrubbed the blood from under his nails and he felt the tears brim his eyes. "Fuck!" He growled out and punched the ground by his leg. His body was shaking as guilt overwhelmed him. He shuddered as he thought of what could have happened to his best friend. He felt a single tear run down his cheek and he sniffled, shaking his head. He splashed some water in his face before running a hand through his hair. He sat back against a rock and hung his head, his entire body tense. He had let down Ana and he blamed himself for everything that had happened. He had never seen her that... hurt. All the blood and her screams seemed to truly have an affect on him. He may have been the son of two villains but he could never do something evil. And he had never experienced something as... intense as what had just happened in the cave. He sniffled and tangled his hands in his hair, his leg bouncing. It was obvious to anyone watching him that he was completely riddled with guilt.

Kolbie stepped out of the cave. She looked into the night sky and took a deep breath, breathing the cool night air. She slowly let it out and looked over at the riverbed next to the cave. Horus was leaning against a rock with his head between his knees. She frowned slightly and walked over to him, her foot steps barely making a sound. "Hey, are you okay?" She asks softly, sitting next to him. She could tell he wasn't just by looking at him. She figured it was because of Ana, but she felt like he needed to get it off his chest.

Adonis smiled at her words. He was sad to see that Ana got hurt, but he knew she was going to be fine. His reaper side of him told him so. He was able to see if a person was dying or not just by looking at them. It was the way their soul shined. He could also tell how a person was based on the color of their soul. The darker the souls, the worse they are. Ana's soul was a beautiful bright green. It defiantly matched her eyes. he couldn't help but stare at it sometimes.

Anastacia hummed softly as she looked up at Adonis, an almost dreamy look in her eyes. She wondered if he knew how beautiful he was. She knew she was feeling weak and decided to write this moment of weakness off as her being drained of energy. She was never nice, especially to a guy like Adonis. But in this moment, she felt inclined to. She wasn't exactly sure why and when it would stop. But she seemed determined to see another side of him that most others did not see. She was a realist but she seemed hopeful in this moment. Even with them being on the run from humans, she still held out hope for her little group. She felt protective over them somehow, which was why she had chosen to stay behind and fight while they escaped. She had always been maternal but most people were scared away due to her father. She never had the chance to be maternal. She noticed Adonis staring at her and her heart thumped against her chest. Were she feeling herself, she'd elbow Adonis and snap at him about staring at her. But she was almost flattered in this moment. She wondered why. She decided to tease him about it, to ease some of the tension that thickened the air. She laughed softly as she gazed up at Adonis, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Like what you see?" Ana teased with a small, knowing smile. She knew most guys would immediately get flustered and deny looking at her. She didn't see herself as beautiful enough to be stared at. And yet, here he was. She wondered why. Perhaps it was because she had saved them and he felt indebted to her somehow? Ana wanted to find out as soon as possible.

Horus jumped a bit when he heard a voice suddenly appear beside him. He sighed softly when he saw that it was Kolbie. He ran a hand through his messy black hair and he felt tears stinging at his eyes. He had failed to protect the one person he had always sworn to protect. Horus felt that he and Ana were much more than friends, they were brother and sister. They understood one another in a certain way that made them feel like two halves of the same soul. Many assumed when the word soulmate was mentioned, that it was just meant to be romantically. But he knew soulmate could mean so many different things. Your soulmate could be a romantic interest or even someone you love as a sibling. Anyone can be your soulmate, it's all a matter of understanding and emotions. He felt that Ana was his soulmate. They had both been tortured with horrible childhoods and were constantly told to do bad things, that evil was the only way to make yourself a legend. But neither of them cared. They both had good hearts and he supposed that was part of their downfalls. He sniffled, not looking over at Kolbie. He couldn't. He hated people seeing him vulnerable like this. "No, I'm not." Horus sniffled before kicking at the ground gently. "I failed the one person I always swore to protect. I let her down. She could have died." Horus frowned deeply at his words and he felt the lump in his throat become harder to swallow. "She's the sister I always asked for and I failed her." He grumbled to himself before clenching his jaw.
