  • Cold, wet, and tired, three words that described how the hybrid felt at this moment in time. Akira was exhausted, having traveled on foot for the past several days... or was it weeks now? He had lost track of time. Soft pawsteps carried the massive dark coated canine to nowhere in particular through the trees, rain pattering softly on the leaves above. It was true that he had no idea where he was, or where he was going- all he knew was he had to get far away from that... place. Just at the thought of it, a wave of guilt and sickness would wash over him, eyes narrowing in shame as his pace seemed to slow. What he had done... was it truly... right? Or was he just a monster... the scum that everyone believed he had been?

Before he could think any more about this, something in the path ahead caught his gaze, gray eyes trained on a massive... path leading into the sky. It wasn't a normal path, however, it was made of stone and oddly shaped. What the hell was this? Out of nowhere, a feline figure would appear at the base of the path, causing him to duck into the damp bushes nearby in panic. Watching as the cat slowly made their way up the path, disappearing above, he would slowly emerge again, head tipped sideways in clear confusion as he approached the structure. This was... very strange. Tentatively, he would reach out a paw and place it on the first step, immediately retracting it. How did that feline go up this thing? And where did it lead? Nothing was making sense today at all...

WAKE UP, GET UP, GET OUT THERE

  • i was finally starting to get over my horrid allergies, and able to come out of the shadows and into the light. one thing i knew i needed to start doing first was introducing myself to new people that had joined the clan. though i was a shy creature at heart, i wanted to make others feel comfortable and welcome in their new home and experience. i had been padding around the blizzardclan area when i spotted an unfamiliar figure at the bottom of the steps. hmm, could that be a newcomer?

making my way down, a large smile littered my stripped, handsome features as i let out a greeting. "hello! what brings you to blizzardclan? i'm loveletter, by the way. paladin trainee," the mention of the rank made me proud of my accomplishments, and i puffed my chest out a bit at the words.

  • The world is distorted, I'll follow the footsteps

hold back the screaming within me, in silence —

The snake-leopard hybrid was next to approach, Felix wrapped securely around her abdomen, and Eli clinging to her neck, the former expressing very little interest in the newcomer, as Vale came to a stop, wisely staying a few feet away from Loveletter just in case he was put off by the snakes she carried with her, venomous or not, they were still terrifying creatures to most people.

"Hello. I am Vale." She said quietly, assuming that all the necessary questions had been asked, taking a seat where she had been standing previously.

  • Anxiety swirling through his head as he stared at the stone steps, he didn't even notice the two creatures coming down the stairs, Loveletter's voice causing him to jump. "Huh!? I-I'm sorry..." The mutt apologized, ears flattening against his head as he peered anxiously at the pair. A jaguar and a tiger... two very large animals he had seldom seen before. It was a scary situation, nonetheless. He would remain silent for a few more moments, processing what had been said before he quietly answered "Bli-... BlizzardClan? What is that?" Akira asked, perplexed. What the hell was a 'BlizzardClan'? He had never heard such a strange, silly name. Then, realizing they had introduced themselves, his maw would part as he prepared to respond, "Oh, sorry, I never told you my name! It's... Akira." Whether he trusted them with his name or not was the question, but since they had told him theirs, he only felt obligated to do the same, as it was the polite thing to do.

  • | Gray was always out and about nowadays it seemed, especially since their raptor companion was eating everything in sight. They wanted to keep Ocean from going through their herb stock while they were away, so they were getting more and more food to stockpile for the always-hungry raptor. Yes, today, Gray did not go searching for more herbs to put into stock, but rather that of plump meat for Ocean. Although the raptor was perfectly capable of killing things on his own, Gray didn't like to let the dinosaur go running about as he pleased. He tended to run about and not return for a while, so... that was their reason.

However, upon returning, they see two of their clanmates with a stranger. With their basket in their mouth, the ivory colored kitsune would make their way over with fictive brows raising in faint curiosity. "Hello?" They say, their voice muffled by the handle of the basket. They set it down beside themselves once they reach the trio, looking to Akira momentarily. Ah, yes, definitely a stranger. He even smelled weird too. "BlizzardClan is what our home is called. I'm Rolling Clouds Across Gray Skies but everyone here calls me Gray or Grayskies. You said your name was Akira? It's, er, nice to meet you."

Seeing Akira, alone and confused, Viv felt like she was seeing herself from not too long ago. Like him, she had no idea what BlizzardClan was. She had just been scared and looking for a place to stay safe at the time - and now she was a Paladin Trainee, and mostly helping others join BlizzardClan. She felt like she had to pitch in. "Gray is right. BlizzardClan is our home. It's mostly just... a group of animals, and we stick together," she stated, somewhat proudly. She had grown fond of her new home, even after only a short while. "I'm Genevieve, by the way... nice to meet you, Akira," it was strange, how she found herself less shy in front of someone who she could somewhat relate to.

  • though he knew that others were over as well, lucas felt that he needed to come over anyway. so, with his tail swishing gently, the small cub would make his way over, situating himself between loveletter and vale. he didn't say anything this time - others had already said what was needed to be said - so instead he simply gave akira a friendly smile, and a little wave.

  • As more and more of them began to gather around, he felt his anxiety climbing, stomach twisting into knots. Don't let it show. Breathing in silently, he managed to keep his composure as he made to respond to them once again, supressing a shiver as the rain continued to soak into his fur. "Oh... I see. You're like a pack then. " Akira woofed, thinking for a second. They seemed... friendly enough. He really didn't want to get involved with another pack... er.... group of animals, but he didn't have anywhere else to go. Plus, if they ever came looking for him... perhaps this "BlizzardClan's" numbers would scare them away. It was doubtful, but at least he would have some kind of security- if they let him stay of course. "Ah, if it's not too much trouble... do you think I could stay here? Err-... join I guess? I don't have anywhere to go, you see..." The hybrid asked, looking down at the ground. "Oh, and it's nice to meet you all." Akira would add, attempting a faint smile.

  • ———— Kady Keyper————

    Nothing is ever free

The snow leopard was considerably late to this little party, but she was slowly getting better at this accepting strangers at the border thing again. Once upon a time she was a champ at it, but as life continued on she found less time to make it out onto the territory. Names were never associated with faces until she saw the new members at meetings and that's something Kady had to fix.

The green eyed feline approaches with a gentle smile on her face, tiny fangs poking out past her lips making her looks less threatening than she really is. "If the comparison helps you understand how we function, then essentially yes. We are like a pack." Kady confirms as she raises a paw to wave at the male. She unfortunately didn't catch his name, but she was bound to hear it eventually. There was no reason to stress over something so simple.

"And by all means you're welcome to join, even if it's just temporary. There's no pressure for having anyone to stay. My name is Kady Keyper. It's a pleasure to meet you. If you ever want a tour or anything just let me know! I'd be glad to give you one." She was awfully perky today, which was a bit weird, but maybe it was the fresh air that was boosting her mood. Who knows?
