  • God, was she tired.

The calico had never expected to end up back here. When WindClan had first moved to its mountain home, she had been reluctant to go with it, but as long as her father was there she would follow- of course, until Detectiveinspector died. But, at that point, it had become her home, too, and she'd been reluctant to move away. Besides, even when struggling with her father's loss, she had become a mother and replenished the life that the clan had lost to time. Paperkit, Hungerkit, Thousandkit... they had all meant so much to her, and brought her so much joy. Had that not been what she'd been named after? Joy? Rapture? She sighed, turning the memories over again like stones in a river.

But, they were also long behind her. She'd started a new life, one of... much more isolation and loneliness than she'd experienced before. After Gradeeight's passing, she'd abandoned her clan and traveled as a loner for as long as she could bear- admittedly, she could have handled that better, but with the sudden passings of so many others close to her it was hard to stay in WindClan much longer. Joyfulnoise had found the memories too much of a burden to bear, and so she'd gathered what she had left and run with it.

    And now she was back.

Things were different now. She had memories of twolegs and things that they'd made, but they seemed to be... largely absent anymore. The things that had happened before a great flash in her memory were distant from her conscience most of the time. The only faces she could distinctly remember were those that she'd lost- the rest of her clan was a blur that she had sped through, and she regretted it. So she'd come to make things right. The molly trekked up the rugged mountainside, cursing her aching paws and the stupid terrain they crossed, but with a chin and tail raised high. She was here to fix things. She could do this.

"You are strong," Joyfulnoise assured herself, blue gaze staring deep into what she didn't know.

/ we can assume this thread takes place in the past!!!! in the present she will have lived in the heights for a bit. i just wanted to get her intro up to introduce who she is <3

  • The wind blew hard and fast today, raking its eager fingers through Hesperidean's deep gold fur, making his velvet ears flutter and the glossy feathers on his leg snap like so many flags. He walked with a briskness to match the weather, savoring the scents carried on the breeze, relishing the feeling of warm sun and chill air. When he caught the scent of someone unfamiliar but who was drenched in the scent of Amalfi Heights, the Golden Retriever slowed and glanced around, his chocolate eyes glinting with interest. "Hello? Someone there?" his deep, jovial voice rolled out over the spring grass, heavy with inquisitiveness.
