  • Ever since his father had promoted him to Paladin Trainee, Aleksei had been looking more and more to Monroe. As the youngest, the dragon was accustomed to his father expecting the most from Percy or Peach (because Aleksei, most of all knew, how headstrong Maelor could be). So the sudden attention was jarring. But he kind of liked it. Not that he would admit it aloud. Not only would Maelor make fun of him but Monroe hated the thought of being seen as a little brown noser. If you could even brown nose your old man.

But Aleksei had asked him to host a little get-together for the youth of the clan and Monroe obliged. He didn't think there were any children left in BlizzardClan anyways - they were all apprentices now and a handful of youthful adults who acted his age. Hopefully, his clanmates were going to follow through. Monroe had put some time into cleaning up the home, getting an amused Miles and Aleksei to vacate the premises to allow the adolescents some privacy.

Five minutes had passed since the time he had specified for the hang out. Monroe was sitting at a short table - a coffee table, really. There was a skewed purple party hat on his head, an impatient look in his otherwise flat golden eyes. He watched the open front door - he had put balloons by the door to remind his clanmates where the event was located. There were food scattered around the table - chips and dip, brownies, and tater tots. None of which he had made himself, of course.

  • nothing attracted the appearance of children more than food, and lucas was no exception, despite his fear of nearly everything around him. while he was a supposed fearful kid (okay, not supposed, it was literally the entire case with him) there were some things that convinced him enough to creep from olivia's home and make his way about. he was a paladin trainee now after all, he had to show his title! right? ....right.

his little head poked in from the doorway, sniffing the ground and eventually the food, shyly pattering into the shaded hut, avoiding his gaze with monroe as he scooted up towards the table. while lucas subsequently stuffed his maw with tater tots, he stared towards the other, the cub eventually swallowing and saying "...hi?" in his usual soft, quiet voice. he had seen the other around, but truthfully barely even knew him, despite the closer age than most. "how are you..."

  • A kid's-party. That was all this was. Persephone didn't like being called a kid, however her age would lend her the title for time to come. She much preferred the scenery the adult's party would have, but decided against trying her luck. It was one night. She could suffer for one night, right? Show her face, maybe have some fun... The girl sneered at the balloons before walking inside, eyes catching on Monroe's lopsided party hat before any of the food he had set out. She held in a chuckle, walking behind Lucas and resting her tail on the younger boy's side.

"Do we all get hats?" she asked teasingly, scrunching her nose up with a small grin.

  • "Hey," Monroe greeted Lucas, a little disappointed by the slow turnout. Where were his siblings? Where was Peach? "I'm bored. Wanna play a game?" He didn't understand why the other Paladin Trainee was behaving so skittishly, especially when Lucas was older than him. As it turned out, Monroe didn't like bossy older kids but he also didn't like someone too meek either. Neither was very fun. Maybe Lucas would warm up to him with a game.

His golden eyes shifted to Persephone, a little surprised she would deign to show up to his party. "Help yourself," he nodded towards a small toy chest by the wall. "Get immersed in the festivities," the dragon encouraged them, a little sarcastically. But he was wearing the hat too, wasn't he.

  • Persephone didn't necessarily like the lack of feeling in Monroe's words, though it was oddly usual. Maybe that was why she was continuing to dislike him, rather than discarding her feelings and starting anew. He just had so much lack of empathy, it seemed, and any snide comments or half-hearted congratulatory words meant nothing to him. She stuck out her tongue at him before walking back to the toy chest to take up his offer.

"A game? What kind?" she asked him, rooting through the chest. She was able to detangle a hat for herself, paused, then pulled out another. She came back to the coffee table and passed Lucas one of the hats before struggling to put on her own.

  • As Persephone turned her back on him, Monroe had stuck his tongue back out at her in a similar gesture, his forked pink tongue waving threateningly. As soon as the Paladin Commander would turn back, he'd immediately drop the face, looking as bored as before. "Truth or dare. Ever heard of it?" He was acting a little cocky for a kid who had never played a game of truth or dare either, but it was something Monroe was looking forward to. "In fact, I'll start. Lucas. Truth or dare?"

  • Henry didn’t know why he attended these little parties. He was tired and sore, the wounds on his back covered by crisp bandages. The pale feline was affectionately dubbed party animal nonetheless, both by his attendance and willingness to do almost anything. Didn’t that make him perfect for a game called Truth or Dare? So, Henry was there, watching eagerly and kneading his paws into the ground.
