  • ♛ Aerion Targaryen ♛ 19 ♛ Crown Prince ♛ Betrothed to Nymeria Baratheon ♛

Her quick and rather aggressive reaction did cause him to halt in his steps, only resuming coming closer when her arms began returning to her sides. Her first sentence made him frown in response and chuckle along with her. "You are a lady of a noble house. Your mother was a queen by marriage, your father was a knight, that makes you nobility. Bastard child or not, you are a member of House Lannister, Lady Joanna." He replied. Was he including the title solely to annoy her? Of course not, but annoying her would be rather amusing. He was a prince, lessons of etiquette had been drilled into him since childhood and they were not so easily discarded. She appeared every bit the noble lady with the fine dress and jewelry, though he decided against asking if she had something against shoes after noticing that she was once again barefoot. Her words about wanting to know everything about the dragons did cause him to laugh. It had taken him years to learn things firsthand, it took maesters decades of learning to be experts on dragonlore, even Aerion didn't know everything but he knew everything that was written down about dragons (and also a few things that weren't). "You want to know everything about them?" he asked, though he didn't give her time to answer before he leaned closer to her and dropped his voice to a whisper "Then you'll have to see them for yourself, won't you? Pictures just won't do." he said, a wicked smile on his features. If the Queensguard knight at the end of the row knew about his desire to go to the dragonpit, he would be confined to Maegor's Holdfast, the section of the keep that was in effect a very richly decorated prison. They wouldn't want him to run off again so son after his last escapade, but the knights of the Queensguard wouldn't know a thing. They would think he had gone to bed, when in fact he would use the secret passages in the Red Keep to escape to the stables, and from there he could take Joanna on a horse to the dragonpit. They would be back before dawn, with everyone none the wiser about what they had been up to.

Taking one of the books from the shelf, he examined the spine of it as he replied to her next question. "Sometimes the Grand Maester has new books sent by the citadel. I like to know what learned men think they know about dragons, because I know everything that's written down and then some. Archmaester Gyldayn is a good place to start, and Maester Borros' account of the last days of Balerion is more detailed if you want to know about physiology. There is an account I have by a Septon Harwyn about his theory on dragon souls and the more spiritual side of things, but it's rare, was banned at one point. I don't like lending it out." he explained, picking the first two books he spoke of from the shelves as he mentioned them, handing them to Joanna. But when she went to take them, he held her arm and pulled her closer, switching his tone to a whisper again. "Meet me at the stables later, if you go to the ground floor of the Tower of the Hand there's a passage behind a tapestry that leads right there. I'll take you to the dragonpit, if you want to see the dragons up close." he explained.

(omg yes! he teaches her how to fly & she teaches him how to fight. & that's a good idea, though Vaena probably won't be happy about it, because she wants to be on her brother's kingsguard eventually, it's what she's been training so hard for (though her ambitions aren't known by anyone else). Also, I hope you don't mind them visiting the dragonpit so soon? I wanted to wait for a response from Joanna & then maybe you can timeskip to her waiting by the stables in your next post if she agrees? Sorry for such a short post, but that's the reason it's like that. )

Joanna rolled her eyes when the Prince continue to call her a Lady after she had shown her distaste for it. She knew he was doing it just to get on her nerves and she felt the urge to elbow him for his actions. But, then she remembered he was the Prince and the Queensguard following him might throw her into the dungeons just because of his distaste for her family. She pursed her lips at the thought, holding back the urge to roll her eyes. She watched the Queensguard for a moment, it was the same man from earlier, the one who had handled her roughly. She wondered how he would fare in a fight against her. Joanna snickered. She knew for a fact that she would win. She was quick and agile, like a feline or even a viper. And his armor weighed him down and made him slow. She didn't feel the need for armor when she moved faster than most of her opponents. Being an agile woman had it's perks. Never losing a fight was one of them. Joanna's gaze turned back to Aeiron as he laughed, her eyes widening. She wondered what he found so amusing but she couldn't help the small ghost of a smile from curling onto her lips. She looked up at him, listening attentively to what he had to say. A blush rose to her cheeks as he leaned closer and his voice dropped to a whisper. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her hear pounding at the closeness the Prince had to her. She looked up at him, her brilliant blue eyes shimmering with a certain innocence. She rolled his eyes at his words about seeing the dragons in person and shook her head, her walls building back around her heart rapidly. She knew this was just some trick to get her alone and Joanna wouldn't fall for it. The thought of seeing the dragon's peaked her interest and she thought for a moment, what if he was serious? What if he truly was going to show her the dragons and this was his subtle way of saying it? Seeing the wicked grin on his lips, she scoffed and shoved him out of her proximity. A soft giggle left her lips and her beauty glowed in an aura in the torch's light. She wondered if she could ever truly be happy in Westeros. Could her uncle find her a match with a man she could come to love? Or would she be doomed to a miserable marriage just as her mother had been? The blonde girl grimaced at the thought, a hand gently resting on her stomach. Could she ever possibly have children in a world that seeked to destroy her family line? She was the last living Lannister woman and was a dying breed, much like the Targaryens had been. She felt so alone in the world, as if her entire world had been ripped from her by the cruelty of other men. She clenched her jaw and pushed away her thoughts. Her gaze lifted to Aeiron once more and she let a soft exhale fall from her lips.

She watched him examine one of the books as he plucked it from the shelf. She slightly tilted her head in curiosity. She blinked, her gaze meeting the Prince's as he spoke of the books. She smiled softly when he mentioned that he liked to read the books men wrote about dragons, wanting to see the way they thought. She felt the ghost of her true smile cross her lips and she brushed her ponytail over her shoulder. Joanna reached forward and took the books from Aeiron as he mentioned them, a soft giggle falling from her lips. When he mentioned Balerion, her eyes widened. She had heard tales of the dragon, that he had been the largest and oldest dragon to ever live. Well, in the Targaryen times. Joanna grabbed the second book quickly, excitement clear in her blue eyes. She smiled. She wondered how large he truly had been. And how terrifying and fearsome. She imagined he was beautiful. She lifted her gaze as Aeiron finished speaking of the books. His tone backed back down to a whisper and her gaze fell on his white hair as he whispered in her ear. At his words, she felt excitement spark inside of her. She smiled happily and when he moved to looked back down at her, she nodded. A soft smirk played on her pink lips and she brushed some loose curls behind her ear. "Sounds like an adventure." Joanna spoke in a hushed tone, a playful smile on her lips. "Thank you for the books. I look forward to hearing your infinite wisdom." Joanna purred, her voice as smooth as silk. She curtsied before the Prince, a bright smirk on her lips. She moved to walk past him and she felt the Queensguard glaring at her as she walked out of the library. She headed back down to her room in the Tower of the Hand, sneaking past people and disappearing like a ghost once more. She pushed open her chamber doors and pressed her back o the door. She sighed happily, a wide smile on her pink lips. She set the books down on ehr bed and then looked at her dress. It seemed... strange and unpractical to wear pink while trying to sneak out. And a gown at that. She pursed her lips and shrugged off her gown before grabbing something more appropriate for the activity. She looked in the mirror after she laced up her boots and slipped on her cloak. She looked at her outfit as she pulled the hood to shadow her face. Her blonde curls were hidden under her cloak's good in a braid and her father's sword was in a sheath around her waist. She blinked, looking over at the books on her bed. She smiled softly at the sight and then she blew out the candle on her bed side, making her whole room go dark. She slowly opened her door, slipping her petite body through without making a noise. She slowly shut her chamber doors, seeing a guard off in the distance. She cursed under her breath in Dothraki and then slipped into the shadows to evade his vision. She came jogging up the tapestry and she looked all around her, checking for anyone following her. Then she pulled back the tapestry and saw a concealed door. She smiled widely and pushed it open silently, slipping inside the passage with ease.

She panted softly as she came across a dark passage, wet and cold. She grabbed a torch from the wall and exhaled slowly, beginning to make her way through the passage. She passed by some rats with a slight grimace. She continued to trek on, guessing the moon must have been at its peak by this point. She saw the passage coming to an end and a dim light. She set the torch into an empty holster on the wall before she continued on. She reached the end of the passage and came out to be a few hundred feet from the stables. She chuckled softly, shaking her head. She looked all around her before she jogged to the stables, her movements silent. As she reached the stables, she sighed at the familiar smell of hay. She picked up a handful of hay, smiling softly at the golden color. It reminded her of her father's hair. She let her hand rest against the hilt of her father's sword and she smiled softly. He would always be with her, she knew that. That didn't make his loss any easier on the lonely girl. She stood and sighed, unsure of how long it would take Aeiron to arrive.

  • ♛ Aerion Targaryen ♛ 19 ♛ Crown Prince ♛ Betrothed to Nymeria Baratheon ♛

The prince was known for being charming to women and despite his imminent betrothal and the marriage that would follow within the next couple of years, he hadn't stopped using his charm and position as prince to get what he wanted. Flirting with noblewomen soon got rather tedious, though, once he realised that many of them weren't very good at conversation aside from a select few topics and they always would bring up the subject of marriage. These girls from minor noble houses who thought that he was going to abandon all sense and make them his queen were simply foolish, and every time it happened Aerion was reminded that his status and power would always influence women into falling for him, it would never really be love. Given these habits of his, the Queensguard likely didn't catch onto what they were whispering about, that he was planning to escape into the night and run off to the dragonpit. Perhaps he would even take the chance to go flying, with his sister no doubt asleep (given her strange habit of waking up before dawn, she had to go to sleep early) and his parents away there was nobody to tell him otherwise or drag him back to King's Landing. He didn't know where he would go, though, north perhaps, to see the remains of the wall and Winterfell as he had dreamed of doing, or perhaps he would go south to Storm's End, to help his parents anyway. That could be decided when he got there.

For now he loitered, perusing the books for a short time after she left, so as to not arise suspicion that Joanna had been the only reason he came here. In truth, he didn't even know she would be here. She just turned up and he acted rashly and decided to do something daring. Not entirely unlike him, but he was usually more calculating than this. No new books had been delivered, so boredom quickly set in and the prince decided to return to his room. Once there, he bid the Queensguard goodnight, though he knew the knight would be hanging around for a while to make sure that the prince didn't run off. The amusing thing was that the knight didn't know the Red Keep like Aerion did. Having been confined here for most of his life, the prince knew where many of the secret passages were and which turns led where, and for once he thanked his ancestors for their madness and paranoia. Without that, he would have no path to the stables. First, though, he changed into something more subtle; plainer clothes usually used for traveling, with a cloak and hood that would hide the colours of his house and the shock of silver hair he possessed. No sooner than he had put out the candles, he was on the move. The Queensguard was at the end of the hallway, but in the supposed dead end that Aerion was closer to was a passage behind a bookcase. Frequently used by servants, the bookcase was slightly away from the wall so that the passage could be used, but not so much that the passage was clear to see. No servants walked through it at this time, and it didn't take him long at all to arrive at the courtyard where Joanna was waiting.

Striding over towards her purposefully and confidently, she likely wouldn't be able to tell it was him until he got closer. "Glad to see you here, my lady. I hope you've not been waiting too long." he greeted in a hushed tone of voice. The courtyard was empty aside from them, but there were still a few soldiers on the battlements who might recognise him, so it was best to keep a low profile until they were out of the keep. It was perhaps easier to go on foot, as taking a horse would draw more attention to them and he knew of a path that would be in the shadow of the wall at this time, so that they wouldn't be seen. "Follow me, and stay close." he said, guiding her through the city in the dead of night. Many people were asleep, but there were a few more unsavoury characters - those who liked drinking and gambling namely - that littered the streets of King's Landing. But none were foolish enough to go up the hill to the Dragonpit. The great structure had been rebuilt during the course of his mother's reign, and the dome of it stood tall, casting most of the Hill of Rhaenys in its' shadow. The guards quickly complied to his request to open the great, heavy doors once Aerion pulled the hood back and revealed who he was. They clearly hadn't heard the 'don't let the prince near his dragon' memo.

With another gesture for her to follow, he made his way into the building, his posture at ease and rather excited where others would be terrified. The building was akin to a gigantic stable, with areas sectioned off for up to ten dragons. He came to a stop in front of the area in which his own dragon resided, the white beast moving close to him with a chittering sound as it recognised her rider. Though only eight years old, the dragon was already far larger than any person and quite the sight to see if someone hadn't seen a dragon before, the silvery scales shimmering in the torchlight. "Her name is Silverlight." Aerion said, a hand resting on the dragon's neck to reassure the creature and stop any sudden movements. Even a dragon as amiable as his was could be dangerous to those other than their rider. He also watched Joanna carefully, to see her reaction.

( Hey, I have an idea. What if Joanna is secretly legitimate?? Like a Jon Snow kind of situation where they married in secret before she was born? Just putting the idea out there, because she would then technically be heir to Casterly Rock (if Tyrion had no children) & have more power. )

Joanna twirled around to face Aeiron as he approached her. Her pink lips curled into a bright smile, truly happy to see him. He seemed to be one of the only people who didn't judge her for the sins of her mother since she had arrived. At his words, she shook her head. She was glad to see he had been able to meet her without getting caught. Her heart thundered against her chest. She felt as if this was... forbidden. After all, he was a Prince and she was the bastard daughter of a traitor. She felt as if she should never be in his world but here she was, standing beside him and sneaking around with him. She was actually thrilled by all of this, which made her realize that she is still just a girl after all. Joanna looked up at the Prince as he told her to follow her and to stay close. She felt the ghost of a smile curl onto her lips and she looked around before she followed after the handsome Prince. Every part of her fought this. She knew this could anger the Queen and she didn't exactly need a reason to take Joanna's head. Sneaking around with the Queen's only son and the future King wasn't exactly the best impression. Joanna felt as if she was a bad influence on the Prince but she couldn't help the affect she had over men. She walked close to Aeiron, her hand instinctively grabbing his own as they walked in the shadows. She inhaled shakily, the hood from her cloak hiding most of her face. She stayed close to Aeiron, gripping his hand as their fingers intertwined. She looked around curiously, watching the men who only dared to come out at night begin to emerge. She snickered at the sight of gambling. She remembered when she had to fight her way out of Volantis when she beat a Lord in gambling and he accused her of cheating. Which she hadn't. She was just good at being deceitful. Joanna followed Aeiron up the hell, her excitement making her heart beat faster. She was a curious girl, she always had been. And the night was her favorite time. She got to see all the people society seemed to shove away in a box. Those were her favorite people. The blonde beauty looked up with a soft 'woah' as she came up to Dragon's Pit. She chuckled softly at the sight and was amazed by how large the building was. She looked over to The Prince as he took off his hood. Her eyes widened and she then realized she was still clutching his hand. She blushed softly and then forced away the blush, reminding herself to keep her walls up. Aeiron had a reputation of being a womanizer and Joanna wouldn't just be another one of his forgettable numbers. If she did chose to sleep with him, it would be a night the boy would never forget. Joanna smirked at the thought as she climbed the stairs to the Dragon's Pit.

The Lannister girl stepped inside after Aeiron and jumped slightly when the door slammed shut due to the heaviness. Joanna looked around with wide sea-blue eyes. A soft giggle fell from her lips as she examined the building, amazed by everything she saw. She thought the structure of it being like stables was unique and not at all what she expected. The blonde beauty pulled her hood off of her head and her blonde curls cascaded down her shoulders as she pulled her hair from its braid. She seemed... relaxed. More than she had been since she arrived in King's Landing. She had a bright smile plastered to her lips and she felt her heart thundering against her chest. Her gaze turned to Aeiron as he stopped and his gaze focused on a white dragon. Her lips fell open in awe of the beautiful dragon, admiring how flawless her scales looked in the torch's light. She was amazed by the creature and took in the sight of her beauty, not at all afraid. She looked as Aeiron spoke his dragon's name and a bright smile curled onto her lips. "Silverlight." Joanna echoed, a soft and almost motherly look in her eyes as she looked at the dragon. She stepped forward, only one step, not wanting to overwhelm the dragon. She blinked, remaining calm the entire time. "She's beautiful..." Joanna said breathlessly, a soft smile on her lips as she admired the dragon.

-- i think that would be so awesome! and i feel like tyrion would have given up on love after shae so he doesn't have any children. omg how cute would it be if joanna's dragon was silverlight's baby?

  • ♛ Aerion Targaryen ♛ 19 ♛ Crown Prince ♛ Betrothed to Nymeria Baratheon ♛

It was probably clear that the prince had been on these nighttime escapades many times before; alone, with his sister, or with the latest girl who took his fancy if she was daring enough to go along with it. He had been out into King's Landing many more times than his parents knew of, he wouldn't know the city and its denizens as well as he did without those adventures. He had never been able to go much further than the city gates alone, though, nor had he had the time to venture elsewhere without anyone knowing. Her reaction to the dragon was not what he had come to expect from people outside his family. Usually it was cautious curiosity, awe, or fear in which people regarded the creatures, but he wasn't expecting her to take a few steps forward (albeit slow movements covering little distance). The prince himself was unsure of how his dragon would react to a complete stranger, though Silverlight was amiable and playful, she could be skittish and that could catch the unwanted attention of his sister's dragon who was also somewhere in the building. So perhaps the Lannister needed a little instruction on how to interact with a dragon, he had been raised with the creatures around since he was a child and tended to forget that not everyone understood dragons like he did.

Leaving the dragon's side, he grasped Joanna's arm in order to guide her towards the dragon. "Sil is easily scared, but because you're with me, she should be fine. Just don't do anything too suddenly. It's kind of like with horses, you have to let them get used to you first so that they don't spook." he explained, though thought that the horse analogy was a little off. Horses don't breathe fire and eat people. Once the dragon accustomed itself to Joanna's scent, and saw that she wasn't a threat, perhaps they could go for a flight. Though that wouldn't be very good if they were trying to keep a low profile, circling a few times around the city wouldn't do any harm, would it? He would have to see how she reacted to being in close quarters with the dragon, and what reaction Silverlight had to the unknown young woman before he suggested anything.

( Oh yeah, so there's an egg & Aerion figures that he may as well give it to Joanna. How would we work in the fact that she's actually legitimate? I don't have any ideas right now. & sorry for the short post, I wanted to leave it up to you whether they go flying or not just yet and exactly what reaction the dragon has is up to you. )

Joanna looked over at Aeiron as he approached her. He gently grabbed her arm and helped guide her toward Silverlight. Her heart thundered against her chest but it wasn't from fear. It was from excitement. She looked up at the Prince as he spoke, explaining that the white dragon tended to be skittish. She nodded and then looked at her with a soft gaze. She watched the dragon slowly step toward her and Joanna's chest rose and fell quickly. Her pulse quickened, all because of how in awe she was of the creature. She found her stunning and unlike anything she had ever seen or experienced. And she had seen some crazy stuff growing up in Essos. She slowly approached the dragon as well, watching her nose twitch as she took in the blonde beauty's scent. Joanna wanted to prove she wasn't a threat and that she wasn't afraid of her. Joanna slowly reached her hand forward, her sea-blue eyes wide. She didn't make a move as she held her hand out in front of her, waiting to see what Silverlight would do. The blonde girl was not afraid, her father had taught her not to be afraid of anything. She was a warrior. Despite her frail appearance, she was one of the strongest women someone could know. She was passionate and never held back how she truly felt and always spoke the truth. She was not afraid to cause a disruption if it meant she got her point across. Joanna inhaled slowly as the dragon fully emerged from the shadows, standing feet from the blonde. Silverlight let out a low chirp, her scales shimmering in the torch light. Joanna watched her, almost seeming to study her. Silverlight was cautious with her movements but the closer she got to Joanna, the more relaxed she seemed to be. Joanna's lips curled into a smile as Silverlight's snout was inches from her hand. She felt her hot breath on her hand and she nearly shivered. She felt as if her heart would beat out of her chest as she watched the she-dragon. She locked eyes with Silverlight for a few moments, showing no fear. The dragon chirped and closed her eyes and pressed her snout into Joanna's hand. Joanna let a soft laugh fall from her lips as she stared in disbelief. She couldn't believe she was touching a dragon, that a dragon had allowed her to touch it. Joanna smiled brightly and she imagined how proud her father would be if he saw her right now. He always wanted Joanna to see the beauty in things that others found terrifying, such as dragons. The first time he had seen a dragon was on the battle field and even he had been terrified. But it was to be expected since the dragons were on the opposite side of the war he had been in. Joanna took a slow step forward and Silverlight opened her eyes. The two stared at each other as Joanna gently caressed her snout, the scales were an odd feeling on her soft hands.

Silverlight chirped and Joanna smiled as she continued to softly caress the dragon. "So beautiful." Joanna spoke in a whisper. She took another step forward and she was now in Silverlight's shadow. She was not afraid of the dragon. She also trusted the dragon not to attack her. Something in her blood just let her know not to be afraid. Joanna felt her heart thundering against her chest as she got lost in the moment.

-- maybe tyrion goes through jamie's things and finds the wedding rings? or bran can see that it had happened since he's the three eyed raven and shared the information with jon, who then shares it with tyrion and everyone else?

  • ( I just watched a super messed up horror movie, so I'm gonna post tomorrow because I'm still kinda freaked out right now. I'm not a horror movie novice by any means, but Martyrs (the 2008 version) is hella messed up, I wouldn't recommend unless you know what you're getting into. I, for example, was expecting a jumpscare-y thing like The Ring, instead I got full-on psychological horror. oof i hope you don't mind me talking about it a little there, I wasn't expecting what I got and it has me a little fucked up )

  • -- no i totally get it! i'm accustomed to horror movies. like i was raised on them. when i was three, i dressed up as chucky for halloween, i love horror movies. i prefer horror movies to rom-coms actually, i'm one of those girls >:D but don't worry about it, take your time love :D

  • ♛ Aerion Targaryen ♛ 19 ♛ Crown Prince ♛ Betrothed to Nymeria Baratheon ♛

The look of wonder and awe on her face was enough to make Aerion smile. It amused him to see how people reacted to the dragons and what they thought of the creatures. Many were scared, some were envious, one squire who had been his friend said that he would kill a dragon for the glory of being a dragonslayer. That one was quickly escorted out and not allowed near the Dragonpit again. This was a very different reaction to what he was used to by far, there wasn't even a hint of fear on the young woman's features. So perhaps he could see if he could push her a little bit more. Silverlight seemed happy with the girl's presence, likely because Aerion had led her here and the dragon could probably pick up that she wasn't a threat. Joanna's confidence likely helped the situation as well, if dragons sensed weakness or fear they were more likely to take advantage of it, they were wild at heart no matter how amiable they may appear.

Upon seeing him move, the dragon's focus and steely grey eyes turned to him, the prince clearly at ease around the beast as he left Joanna's side and continued walking along beside the dragon, his hand trailing along the creature's neck as he moved. Finally, he stopped once he neared the wing, his hand falling to his side, and his free hand coming up to place a reassuring touch to where the wing met the body. Then turning to smile at the blonde as he posed a question. "If you could go anywhere in the Seven Kingdoms, where would you go?" he asked, of course he couldn't take her wherever she wanted right now, but he would certainly keep her answer in mind. Nodding to affirm that he had heard her when she responded, waited a moment, as if he were considering something. "Well, I can't take you there... But how about a flight above the city?" he offered, hoping on hope that she was as brave as he had judged her to be and would accept.

( I'm studying for exams in May more from this week onwards, so my activity might be spotty & my posts might be shorter depending on how it affects my muse. Just warning you ahead of time! Also, it might be more believable that Tyrion finds the rings & then also finds a secret record of their marriage? Because it had to have been recorded somewhere if it took place when Cersei was still Queen. )

Joanna looked to Aeiron as he smiled at her. She had to admit, his smile was enough to melt her heart. He was a handsome man, as was expected of a Prince and the son of two of the most beautiful people in the realm. She couldn't help but admire his beauty but all the while, she warned herself once more. He was a known flirt and often just seduced women to have that one night with them and then never speak to them again. Joanna refused to be one of those girls. She would not let herself fall under his spell. She sighed as the soft breeze hit her blonde curls. She looked to Silverlight, her eyes sparkling with wonder as she stared at the creature. She wondered how her father would react if he could see her now. He had told her that he had fought against Daeneyrs' dragons before but he couldn't help but go on about how beautiful and magnificent they had been. She wondered if her father were alive, if he would ever touch a dragon or even ride one. She suspected he would love to but wouldn't take that risk because he had her to worry about. She smiled softly at the thought. She missed her father dearly but she could not bring him back. Not even the Red Priestesses from Asshai could. Her father was gone, along with the Lannister legacy. Tyrion would never marry, she could tell. He had loved a woman named Shae and she broke his heart. That was all she knew. But he could tell in the way he spoke about the experience, he would never marry or have children. Joanna often wondered what she had done but she never pressed it. She closed up the same way when someone mentioned her Khal. She frowned softly at the thought of him. She liked to imagine he was with the stars, watching over her. Just as her mother and father were. She wished she could see them, at least one last time. But Joanna knew for almost certain that she would never marry or have children. Who could possibly want to marry her? Then again, her uncle could force her into a marriage. But if he did, she would slit her husband's throat while he slept and steal a boat in the night and return to her home. She hoped, like any girl would, that she would find love. One day. But she thought her family was far too hated for her to ever find someone to love her and not want to murder her. She blinked, a sadness in her eyes at this thought. She wished to love again. But as a Lannister, alone in the world, she knew it was likely not optional.

Joanna lifted her head as Aeiron moved to step closer to his dragon. She smiled softly at him, trying to hide the sadness of her thoughts. She was just a girl after all. A girl who missed her home and the people she's lost and was in a foreign country. Joanna watched him stroke his dragon's neck as he walked up beside her, a loving gaze in his eyes. He cared for Silverlight. Possibly the only one he truly cared about besides his family. She supposed she felt the same way, except all the family she had loved were dead. She could see herself loving her uncle but it would take a while. He had only showed up when her father died so she wasn't sure how to feel about him. She almost felt... abandoned that he hadn't come along until she was the only one left. She clenched her jaw. Aeiron continued to caress his dragon before he turned to her with a smile. It was obvious her walls were back up and she was hurting, deep down inside. She blinked, looking to the Prince. He asked where she would go in the Seven Kingdoms and the ghost of a smile curled on her lips. She gently caressed Silverlight's scales, a sadness in her blue eyes. She inhaled deeply and it didn't take her long to think of a place. "Casterly Rock. I want to see where my parents grew up. Though, I imagine it's a pile of rubble now. Since everyone in the world hates my family." Joanna spoke, narrowing her eyes slightly as she spoke. She watched as he nodded, showing he had been listening to her words. She smiled softly and lowered her head, her blonde curls falling in her face. And when Aeiron spoke again, she lifted her chin and looked to him. He said he couldn't take her there and she nodded, pursing her lips. She knew it was a dream of hers that would most likely never come true. She understood why he couldn't take her there. And then he asked if a flight above the city was alright and she met his gaze, a frown of confusion on her brow. Above the city? King's Landing? She laughed softly, the sound sweet as honey. "Wait, you can't be serious." Joanna said, her lips curling into a bright smile, the type to break hearts. She looked at Aeiron, a sparkle in her eye. "Won't they catch you? Your mother will throw a fit." Joanna said with a soft giggle.

-- yes i love all of this. and maybe aeiron does take her to explore casterly rock one day and it actually is all rubble because someone destroyed it before they got there? and she just walks among the smoke and fire and is obviously very upset and distraught because this was the last piece of her family left. and that's fine love! im not stressing about it, you take your time. <3

With his focus on his dragon, he didn't notice the sadness caused by her thoughts, instead contemplating what she had said. Casterly Rock. Of course she would want to go there, it was where her family was from. The Lannisters only really held the Westerlands nominally as far as he knew, the Marbrand and Payne families helped Tyrion rule in practice but with Tyrion busy as Hand of the Queen, he hadn't gone back to Casterly Rock to properly establish it as a home for the Lannister family. With the last of the Lannisters absent, others took advantage and burned the castle, with the lack of trade the common people moved away. With some work, Casterly Rock could be restored, but he assumed that wasn't what she was looking for. Joanna wanted the home of her parents as it had been, not as it could be.

Her reply to his proposition was incredulous, disbelieving that he would really be offering this. Silverlight didn't seem to mind the girl, and misbehaving was always more fun with other people, so Aerion didn't see a problem with it. "Of course I'm serious. The only other person who could catch me is sound asleep, along with most of the city." he replied, a mischevious smile gracing his features. He was referring to the only other dragon-rider in the city, of course, his sister. Vaena was hard on him if he disobeyed their parents, she thought that in disobeying his parents he was ruining his reputation but nobody really expected him to be perfect, did they? Whatever else she was, his sister was predictable. She went to sleep early and woke up early, and frequently told Aerion that he should do the same. That meant that midnight flights wouldn't be interrupted, and everyone was far less angry about it when they found out about it the day after in his experience.

Whatever Joanna's reply, he would go for a flight anyway. The whistle of the wind rushing past, the sight of the city being so small below, it was all so thrilling and brought him back to flying time and time again. So he tapped the dragon's neck twice, and the creature lowered her head, allowing him to climb up in practiced movements that undoubtedly showed how often he did this. "If you're scared of it, all you have to do is say so. The door is right there, and you know the way back to the Red Keep." he said, unable to pass up taunting her. The knowing smile on his face as he gestured to the door showed that he was more teasing than angry or upset, his mind was sure that she wouldn't turn it down now that he challenged her.

Joanna couldn't help the smile on her pink lips when she heard that he had been serious. She had always dreamt of dragon riding, it nearly consumed her every waking thought. If she wasn't thinking about her past horrors with her family, she was thinking about dragons or any subject she truly had interest in. One of the major ones was magic. She wanted to travel the world and discover all the hidden secrets about magic and who truly held the power in this world. The thought fascinated her beyond words. And dragons were technically magic. She inhaled deeply and looked to Aeiron, almost seeming to study him. Her eyes followed the curves of his face, his sharp jawline. She saw a bit of a shadow beginning to shine through and she smile softly. She knew he was the same age as her, still just a boy to most of the world. But Joanna proved that when under the right circumstances, people could be far more mature than their true age. She then followed his face to his brows. His brows were a light brown and almost seemed perfectly arched for his face, almost as if he was sculpted by the Gods. Her eyes rested on his. They were a brilliant blue, that reminded her of the sea on a cool summer day. An almost crystal blue with flecks of teal as well as green. She blinked slowly, beginning to see the beauty in a man for the first time since she lost her first love. She saw why so many women fell under his spell but in that moment, he wasn't a Prince. He wasn't a Targaryen. He was just a boy. With silver white hair that shined like a star in the moonlight. She inhaled, adjusting her belt which held her father's sword. It had been her brother's before he had died. Widow's Wail. She didn't like the name all too much but she had decided to keep it, in memory of the brother she had never met. She knew it was Valyrian Steel and had been expertly crafted, which made her cling to it that much more. She lifted her gaze back to the Prince when she saw the way he gazed at his dragon. She felt the ghost of a smile on her lips. Maybe she had been wrong about his family all along. She couldn't exactly give herself a definitive answer yet but the thought swam in her blue eyes.

The young beauty watched as Aeiron tapped on Silverlight's neck twice before he began to climb on top of her. Her breath hitched in her throat as she watched him move fluidly, stepping off to the side. Her sea-blue eyes shimmered with wonder and she felt a smile curl onto her lips, a genuine smile. Which she rarely ever let slip through her walls. She looked up at the Prince as he sat gracefully atop the dragon, showing in a way that he was born to rule. She then narrowed her eyes at him as he taunted her. She felt a playful smirk replace the smile on her lips and her eyes glowed with mischief. She lifted her chin, knowing he was just baiting her into doing something as reckless as this. But then again, she was a reckless girl. And people would spread rumors and speak bad about her so why not do everything they fear her doing? Joanna smirked and shook her head at the handsome Prince, narrowing her eyes at his knowing smile. "You're a prick, you know that right?" Joanna spoke with no hesitation, not afraid of the consequences of speaking in such a way to a Prince. In her eyes, every human being was equal. She was not about to treat someone who felt superior to her the same as she would someone kind. She was snarky and she knew when to hold her tongue. But she also had no filter and told the truth always, one trait she got from her uncle. She sighed, shaking her head. "If your mother kills me, I'm coming back from the dead to kill you myself." Joanna teased as she reached up, grabbing Aeiron's hand. He helped her climb onto the dragon's back and she could feel her heart thundering against her chest. She wrapped her arms around Aeiron's waist as she let out a slow sigh.
