———— SILVERHAZE ————
i'm a villainous winner. with precision i'm killing ★
Silverhaze walked right into this one. While strolling down the eerie alleyways she hadn't been paying much attention. As she stopped to take a moments leisure, flushed against the walls threshold, she saw them in her peripheral vision. To the left a tiny pup, nestled in a makeshift home that its flea bitten mother must have made. To her right a veteran German Shepherd mother, standing guard over her pup as it appears to be asleep. The silver babe felt a shiver of panic go down her spine, always been told a mother was more dangerous then a bull. The three of them stood motionless for a long time, Haze unsure what to do and the canine pair surprised by her sudden appearance.
Finally Haze gathered her wits and courage, and as slow as she could the massive Maine Coon started backing away. Even this little bit of movement was enough to startle the pup, which in turn caused the momma to spring into action. Haze's head moved from left to right as the level of danger intensified and the stakes grew higher. The warrioress didn't let her surprise get the better of her, and as the dog started to charge at her head-on, she took all evasive maneuvers. Large silver paws scrambled beneath her and she struggled for purchase on the slippery pavement. She caught dirt and rocks between her toes but managed to get out of the way of the momma dog's ferocious jowls. The last thing Haze wanted was her head bitten off by this dreaded canine. The dog roared in anger as her attack was met with nothing but air as Haze quickly lunges to the other side of the hound. This momma wasn't finished with her yet though.
Silverhaze surged forward, unwilling to stop and allow the hound to catch up with her. She pulled her ears back to her skull and tucked her tail as she fled. She managed to run in a serpentine pattern between the spotlights, fire hydrants and through broken fences, never staying in a straight line - knowing damn well that's the worst thing to do when being chased by dogs, or anything for that matter. Haze couldn't allow the dog to charge at her at top speed. She couldn't afford to allow the momma to hit at all, her vicious teeth were a powerful force to be reckoned with. She didn't have the sense to call out to her clanmates for help either, of courses he didn't want to get them into the trouble she had found herself in either - god forbid any one of her clanmates got ripped to pieces by this fiend. She spared a glance behind her as she rounded one of the biggest buildings in the area, and for a moment she thought she'd escaped the beast. Her pace slowed slightly and she almost relaxed when the hound then came barreling around the corner.
Haze felt herself jump, and the dog didn't look like she was expecting her to be standing there either. Both creatures jumped back as they started at each other. The dog recovered first, stomping her foot at the ground and barking with intense snapping of jaws. The silver temptress decided to quit running as the dog hadn't charged her again. She got a confidence boost, and charged momma instead. She hadn't seen the baby since their encounter began, and momma was likely feeling the need to return to her unguarded pup. Silverhaze went on the offensive. She leapt towards the German Shepherd, tail flashing behind her as she snapped her abnormally large fangs at the dog and growled deeply. The momma wasn't impressed with her display, but retreated back towards the alleyway as she inched forward. Silverhaze seemed to get a little too close and pushed her luck too far when the dog charged her again. Canine began to lash out in anger as Haze snapped at the mutt. The dogs incisors barely caught her on the nose as the hound beat a hasty retreat. It wasn't enough to cause damage but the wound stung something fierce. The tall silver warrior hissed as her body retreated again.
While she was distracted by her pain the dog had turned and fled back to her child. Haze didn't know how to quit while she was ahead and followed brazenly after. The damned fiend wasn't as tough as she had imagined, maybe she still had a chance at the pup. Half way back to the alleyway the dog noticed she was following and instead of leading her right to her baby she turned around and charged at her again. Silverhaze wasn't as quick to react. The dogs huge body came baring down on her, and she managed to avoid her sharp teeth but the hounds huge head was used in an upswing. The dog slammed the broad side of her skull in to the soft point of Haze's belly and knocked the wind from her. Haze sputtered as he struggled to get away from the enraged beast. Luckily for her the old dog was more concerned with her pup, instead of finishing Haze off she made a hasty retreat back to her baby. Now the warrioress was left gasping for air at the base of one of the Blood House. She puffed heavily, watching the huge dog disappear through the shadows. Maybe she wouldn't try to take on a momma dog again.. or perhaps she just might - who knows Haze is stubborn like that.
