IMMA MAKE IT THUNDERSTORM (Intro)

  • — the large tom grunted, paws dragging towards the border. His Manx inherited tail twitched behind him, large tufted ears stretching upwards on his head. They swiveled momentarily, picking up the scent of moving prey a little ways back. But he wasn’t interested in hunting. His role model was gone, big brother Zakhar had vanished moons ago, and he himself had fallen into the background. But no more! He’d have to find his own way around now. ""

  • an unfamiliar cat was approaching the border, ivynose managing to notice them from a distance away due to the flatness of the land that windclan resided on. watching him for a bit to ensure that it wasn't someone from another clan come to attack them for whatever reason - he didn't know why that suddenly sprang to mind, but one could never be too safe - he began hurrying towards them. it was either a cat come from a different clan asking for help or something, a longer passing through, or maybe even someone willing to join the ranks of windclan.

approaching the larger feline, ivynose waved his tail in greeting, giving him a smile. "hello," he meowed, "what's your name, and why are you here, at windclan's border?" he asked pleasantly. if it really was just someone passing through and had no clue where they were, it would be nice for him to at least inform them of that.

you are right there, but why are

you beyond my reach / tags.

  • — It was hard to fight that involuntary lip curl of disgust at the approach of another feline. He carried with him the scent of the soft moor, and the tom had to focus his mind on being.... friendly. Usually, the chatty one was his brother, always coming up with the plans... but now he’s gone. “Spottedelk. Joining. ...please.” He almost didn’t add the last part, tail twitching uneasily behind him. ""

Minkpaw wasn't too sure what her thoughts were on becoming an apprentice and being known as Minkpaw now, but one thing she did know... was wow! She thought WindClan territory was absolutely huge and it was so fun to explore it! She probably truth be told shouldn't be out of the camp by herself so early, but the mink feline couldn't help herself. She had spent six moons trapped away in camp, it was her time to have fun!

But then once her eyes landed on the stranger at the border fear immediately built up inside of her and her first instincts were to run straight back to camp. But - upon seeing Ivynose appear and begin to deal with them she felt a little relieved and she couldn't help but decide to pad over shyly and stand right behind Ivynose.

Spottedelk? Pretty name! She wanted to compliment it out loud but she held back her tongue this was a stranger not a clan-mate after all!

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ she'd taken to wandering out of camp as of late, braver than before after her tour of the territory. she knew it well now, having wandered over it many a time, lost in thought. her purpose had almost been filled inside of the windclan cat- amberkit and adderkit were almost apprentices, and until there were new kits to look after, she was useless. so she wandered, searching and scanning for the one thing she knew better than kits: herbs. it was almost springtime here, or as the clan cats called it, new-leaf, and she was excited, most of all because of the growing things. herbs and the medicine den were her comfort in the still strange area she now called home. wolfsbane was busy all the time now, having finally become more trusted, and as her adopted niece and nephew didn't need her anymore, alone she flitted, cream colored paws carrying her lightly from each tussock of grass.

yet a new scent caught her attention as she stood atop a hill, gazing out over the land. in the distance, a shape stood beside the border and she frowned, sweet face growing more worried as she began to make her way towards the shape. as she reached the border, ivynose and minkpaw appeared, and she fell behind them, a silent presence, taking in who it was. her brother, the one from her father's younger litter, stood there, regal and silent as always, and she almost flinched away, remembering him and zakhar and their scheming, abusiveness. how could he be here, after all these moons? she felt fear fill her up to the brim, but she stood there anyway, staring with light hazel eyes at the younger tom. "s-sp-spottedelk?" quiet and stumbling was her voice like always, and yet a small flame burned within her, built up by her clanmates around her. they wouldn't let him hurt her, nor would wolfsbane... she hoped. "brother..." not really a brother, someone from a different mother, yet the same father and of course that was all that mattered. she'd let ivynose do the talking, but she'd flit beside him, gaze fixed upon the ghost of her past she thought long gone.

  • — The tom gave pause as an all-to familiar, albeit windclan drenched- scent of a long lost sibling came dancing to his nose on nervous yet determined paws. Brown gaze lowered to find the rather graceful form of Graceful coming to stand beside the first Clan cat to greet him. He had the urge to cuff her around the ears, scold her, make her cringe on her paws beneath him, like the sovereign he was, but thought better of it. Her new... “friends” ...might not like that. “Sister.” He greeted, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. If the others hadn’t run off in the first place, their family wouldn’t have been broken up. The other clan had been idiots, not bending to Zakhar and his will, before Zakhar was suddenly... just gone.. leaving Spottedelk to wander, floundering in the dark. “Clan take Spottedelk to leader to join, yes?” He questioned, averting his gaze to the first warrior. ""

  • Wolfsbane hadn't run into any members of his family since Grace had joined and (dared he say it?) he was happy about that. His worldview had expended since he'd joined WindClan, and although it would never be as liberal as his Clanmates, he was starting to move past the shadows Liverpool had cast. Grace was too, or so he hoped, and they'd made a new family. At this point, could either of them stand to meet up with the other cats who'd grown up with Liverpool?

He'd been out hunting when he scented Grace, and stifling a groan of annoyance, he'd started to head toward her. Yes, WindClan's territory was relatively safe, but she couldn't defend herself against any threats. He wasn't ready to lose her. After he'd tracked her for some time, she joined up with Ivynose, Minkpaw, and Spottedelk.

Spottedelk?! His youngest brother, one of his father's favorites. Spottedelk had always been thick as thieves with Zakhar, and Wolfsbanse instinctively cast his gaze around for his scheming brother, but Zakhar was nowhere to be seen. "'Elk," he greeted the other. "...You want to join? Where's Zakhar?" He glanced at Grace, reading the anxiety radiating from her, and shifted closer to her. If Eaglestar took Spottedelk in, his little brother would find that there was a new set of rules to play by.

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ and then wolfs was there and she relaxed slightly, taking comfort in the familiarity of her brother as he stalked to her side. he wouldn't let their younger brother hurt her... at least she thought he wouldn't. windclan had changed him, privately she thought for the better. hazel eyes still fixed upon the dappled body of the tom, tailtip twitching in anxiety. he was here to join which meant more stress for her, more stress for wolfsbane... they'd just begun to move away from their father's teachings. elk's return would reinforce her bringing up even more.

she hadn't left with wolfs and their sisters. she'd stayed with liverpool as long as she could until one morning she woken up and he was gone. yet she was almost grateful that her siblings had left, for if they'd stayed, she'd still be with her father... not a place she wanted to be. feeling a sudden spark of courage, perhaps because she wanted to prove to elk that she was stronger now, she spoke up once more. "i c-can fetch eaglestar." a twitch of her ear gave away the fear she still felt for her returning kin, yet she turned to glance at wolfsbane and ivynose.

  • TAGS ☆彡another wolfsbane sibling? great. he almost curled his lip up at the thought, but he refrained, instead sauntering over to ivynose's side at once. since eaglestar was already getting fetched (or so he hoped), the blue tabby could only give the newcomer a detailed once over, green oculars rather neutral and blank. he wouldn't judge the male on his relations, although, the deputy partially wanted to. hopefully this one could be as flexible as wolfsbane was attempting to be. i'm morningfrost, and this is ivynose, he'd introduce after a bit, jutting his chin in his mate's direction at his name.

  • spottedelk. a nice name, ivynose had to admit; before he could speak, though, there were other windclanners approaching, graceful and wolfsbane two of them. you could practically smell the anxiety rolling off of grace's pelt when she set eyes on spottedelk. the loner didn't seem all that happy, either, simply speaking to her curtly and addressing her as his sister. they're related? ivynose thought, glancing between the two with a concerned look on his face, a feeling that only grew when wolfsbane approached and wasn't ecstatic, either.

thankfully, while he'd been studying the others, morningfrost had approached and introduced ivynose to spottedelk. giving his mate a small smile at that, he turned his eyes back to the loner. he was going to ask grace if she wanted company right now, but he felt like right now wasn't the correct time to ask that question. "if you go fetch and eaglestar, the rest of us can wait here." he told grace, letting out a small hum.

you are right there, but why are

you beyond my reach / tags.

  • Zakhar was gone? Wolfsbane's ears flattened. There was a story behind that, he was sure, and whether or not Spottedelk stayed, he wanted to hear it. Gaze falling to Grace as she offered to fetch Eaglestar, frown lines furrowed his brow. "You shouldn't go alone," he murmured although he couldn't think of a better option. He could accompany her, but that would mean leaving Spottedelk with Morningfrost and Ivynose. The deputy and his mate were big boys but he didn't trust them near Spottedelk. The loner might be slow, but he often didn't know his own strength. If Morningfrost didn't take advantage of Spottedelk (Ivynose didn't strike Wolfsbane as the kind of cat who might) then Spotted might accidently hurt one of them. Either way, leaving the group alone together didn't seem like a good idea. Breathing out unhappily, he sent Grace off with a simple, "Be careful."

Returning his attention to his younger sibling, he warned, "Spottedelk, WindClan isn't Father's group. Everything is done differently here. Do you realize that?" Of course, even if Spottedelk did, he'd find acceptance hard to come by—but if like Wolfsbane and Graceful, he was willing to fight for his place in a new reality, Wolfs would support him every step of the way. He was family, and dysfunctional as their upbringing had been, they were the only ones who could really help each other.

  • — ochre gaze lowered as Wolfs sent Graceful away totally against their upbringing. But Spottedelk remembered DarkClan. Females were equal now. Confusing, yes? But that was moons ago. He couldn’t live alone anymore, and he was pretty certain DarkClan wouldn’t like to see him again. Hopefully, they never found his accident that Zakhar had helped him hide. The tom sometimes didn’t realize his own strength and had accidentally murdered an apprentice. A she-cat to be exact. He frowned. “Spottedelk realizes, must change. Wolfsbane help, yes?” ..please. The tom fixed his gaze on his brother with a sad hunt of a smile on his form. ""
