  • Dragons are a lot to handle on their own. And, well, when you had in being trained it gets even harder. Then, for the real challenge, you put Muse A and Muse B in together. While both are dedicated kids and are decent with each other, they are also like throwing out a bomb and not knowing if it's a smoke bomb or a real one. But when shit hits the fan will they be able to handle their dragons and themselves?

Sorry if I thickened it up to much, I got carried away.

    I'll throw down a form below 🖤.

Also I'm sorry this is bad. I haven't rped in a super long time and haven't gotten back into the hang of making threads again.

  • Cole couldn’t believe that he was lucky enough to be chosen by a dragon. It was one of the highest honors these days. After the throne had been liberated and the country was at peace, dragon eggs began to be matched with riders. He wouldn’t trade this opportunity for everyone. He had named his dragon Vaelarr. They had been bonded for just about a year now. It was now time for them to begin their training. They just arrived in the newly rebuilt city for dragon riders. He slowly climbed off of his dragon and made his way to the building that he would be in with whoever they paired him with. The building was farther into the fields near where the academy was. He couldn’t believe that this was actually happening. A happy hum left his lips once they were there. He was sitting outside, gazing around with wide eyes. He looked so happy.

  • Dorin let out an excited screech as he rode on Thalia, his hands held up in the air, waving them around wildly as he looked back at his home, which would soon be just another speck on the land. It seemed like the entire time he was whooping and hollering, occasionally giving Thalia loving rubs as they rode. His shirt bellowed around him as they began to approached the land surrounding the academy, slowly getting lower and lower.

When they got close enough to the ground for Dorin to decide he wouldn't die from jumping off. He vaguely noted a boy a decent distance away, but he could care less. He wobbly stood before allowing himself to slip off, only to roll and fall in the hard dirt.

  • Vaelarr lifted up her head as she sensed another dragon nearby. Be cautious. There is someone nearby. She warned Cole. Cole lifted up his head as he heard her words. He began to look around with curious eyes. He didn’t want for them to be ambushed or anything on their first day. That was an irrational worry though. This was one of the safest places for them to be. He shifted to stand up, placing a gentle hand on his dragon’s side. They began to walk towards him then. It wasn’t too long until they got close enough. “Hello! Are you apart of the academy here?” He asked curiously. He was quite a nice person. He grew to be very trustful very fast. He offered him a smile. “I’m Cole.” He introduced. Vaelarr wasn’t the surest about this though. It showed by her narrowed eyes.

  • Dorin held up his index finger as he tried to find where his breath was, as he had knocked the wind way out of himself. A few meters away Thalia landed, nodding a greeting to Vaelarr to show she meant no harm. You're a moron, I told you it wouldn't work she spoke to Dorin, warning a glare. "I'm Dorin and that" Another glare was sent towards Thalia's way, "is Thalia and she can shut it". The remark cause the dragon to let out a Huff of amusement as Dorin stood. " You new here too? "

  • Cole seemed to be a bit surprised with how the other male was acting. He was much more on the childish side than he had expected. He wanted going to make a comment about it though. Vaelarr knew exactly what he was thinking though, letting out her own puff of amusement. She nudged her head lightly against his arm. He gave her a look then, but it brought a smile onto his lips. “It is nice to meet you. I am Cole and this is Vaelarr. We just got her about ten minutes ago. I am guessing you are new as well.” He commented. He stuck out his hand for the other male to shake. The mark on his hand was clearly noticeable. It was the bonding mark of a dragon and its rider.

  • "Yeah, I'm new. Kinda obvious I think based off my failed decent, which would have worked if someone was going a little slowerrrr " Dorin stated, trying to balance him as Thalia gave him a push, sending him a step or two towards Cole. When the other's hand being held out to him he frowned, glancing back towards the white shimmering dragon behind him. He cleared his throat, stepping around Cole's hand, only glancing at his mark for a moment before heading towards the school. "Anyways, we should get to the Academy. Gotta start that training, ya know"

  • “You should’ve told her to go slower. I am sure that she would’ve listened to you.” Cole suggested. It was clear that they came from two completely different parts of the land. Vaelarr was making comments to him in his mind about Dorian. He was doing his absolute hardest not to smile and laugh at them. They were the kindest comments. He raised both of his eyebrows when the other didn’t shake his hand. He took some deep breaths before he spoke again. “That would be wise. It seems we both have a lot of training to do.” He spoke simply. He shifted to carefully walk off in the direction of the school.

  • Dorin snorted loudly at the concept of Thalia doing as he said. "No, she does it to spite me. She's still trying to teach me to care about my own well being" He said, throwing on a funny voice at the end. Thalia rolled her eyes, sending a eye roll towards the black dragon she was now training with. "And I don't think we need a lot. I just want one of us has to change our personalities" He threw out as Thalia carefully pulled him by his shirt. You're being dramatic. "Plus you could have at least shook his hand. " Causing Dorin to groan. "Hands are disgusting. People are disgusting Thalia. You know that" He mumbled out loud.

  • “She cares about you a lot. I can see that with how she acts. Also, look at the looks she gives you. That helps you read your dragon better.” Cole suggested bar wasn’t trying to be rude doing so. He just knew how to deal with dragons really well. He shook his head slightly as he heard his comment about their personalities. He hoped that there were more people getting trained at the moment. Little did he know that it would just be the two of them. Vaelarr decided to speak up some then. They must be from the middle of the Empire. He acts as if he has no manners. She mused. Cole shrugged his shoulders some. I know. Let’s hope he improves some. He responded simply. He was taken aback when he heard the next comment. This was going to be a long few months.

  • As soon as the words escaped the other boys mouth Dorin sent a glare back at him. "I know she cares, I have to listen to her all the time. She's the only one who cares. But even then I didn't ask you" Dorin snapped. He could tell if he liked this boy or hated him, but he sure as hell was getting tired of him. He swung his arms about for a moment before he was lovingly dropped. "Thank you Thalia" He stated, dusting himself off to keep up with, as he did not what to become friends with the other boy nor his dragon. You really should try making friends more. "You wouldn't be see lonely then" He was told sweetly, making his face red. "I'm not lonely. People are bad creatures that do worse things. You know that. You were there" He retorted softly, crossing his arms over his chest as if that would reinforce his dislike for his own species.

  • Cole ended up rolling his head at the comment that he made, not evening bothering to respond. He knew that it would just be a waste of his time. He had never met anybody like Dorin before. To say that he was glad he hadn’t was an understatement. He felt as if his mind would explode if he had to live with someone like that all of the time. He continued to walk in in silence until he heard the other male speak once again. “Why do you respond to her out loud? It would be easier to make the conversation private between you two if you responded in her mind.” He suggested.

  • Dorin was so close to just launching himself at the other boy. He was soooo smart and it made him want to kill the other. And he was about to too, but Thalia carefully guided him forward. "Cause I have for a mouth for a reason and I'm not scared to say what I think out loud" He retorted angerly, "Maybe you should learn to not but into other people's conversations, eh? How about that? ". " He's just trying to help" Thalia stated, continuing to push him forward gently. "I don't want help and I don't need help. If I did I would ask" He snapped, glaring at the attempted devils activate. "No you wouldn't"

  • Cole looked to him, a gentle sigh leaving his lips. He was still surprised about all of this. He didn’t think he had ever met someone with his type of personality before. “Excuse me for trying to help you out. When you speak aloud to your dragon, it isn’t always easy to see who you are talking to. You do seem a bit crazy as well.” He pointed out. Vaelarr let out a snort at that. A little bit crazy? Try insane. She made the comment. It caused him to laugh gently, grinning over at his dragon. It wasn’t long before they got to the hut they were instructed to. Their instructor walked out then. “You must be the two new students for these next months. You will be rooming next to each other. Say goodbye to your dragons for today. Gäelier will be taking them to train with then. You both will be with me.” The man informed. As his name was spoken, Gäelier came flying out. The dragon was very large with golden scales.
