  • For the longest time did the word "home" make their chest ache whenever they found themselves wishing for it. It was a sore place where the wounds of the past were still so fresh— it has nearly been two years now since they've grown and twenty-fourth of this month would mark a year ( approximately ) that they've wandered about the clans without their mother and father, without a place to call home. Their Arcaniums had all but scattered when Sugaredsun and Sarangerel died and they've only just now heard whispers of more of their family being found here and there all across Agrelos. They were finally able to breathe out the sigh they've been holding for almost a year. They really only cared about their family, only them, and then themselves did not matter as much. Corinthian wanted to search for everyone as soon as possible but with the way they are now, incredibly tired and weary from travel, they did not think they would be of condition to dash all over Agrelos again. At least not for a couple more days.

And it was now that the toffee colored kitsune stands here, at the border of a dim-looking forest that cast shadows at every corner. It was the slightest bit intimidating— they'd figured with a name called Whispering Pines, it'd be as unsettling as they thought it might be. However, as much as they'd like to turn around and go elsewhere, find some abandoned burrow to squeeze into, they knew they wouldn't make it very far before they passed out from exhaustion. Wearily, they lower their haunches onto the ground, muted yellow luminaries flickering about the unfamiliar territory curiously. A clan lived here, they were sure of that, but they failed to recognize the scent that permeated the area. They wrap their tails about themselves, a quiet huff expelling from thin velvet lips. I guess I can't sit here forever...

"Hello?" Their voice, a soft lulling tone, slips out into the air. They are cautious, nervous, and rightfully so. Being in a place they didn't quite know? Of course, it was only right to feel out-of-place... How childishly did they wish for Suga.

shay loved the word home — it was what it meant, a comforting word, a word that was a warm and cosy fireside, a word that was a close-knit and loving family. he wasn't sure, then, if the blackheart rogues were his home. the church could be cold and barren, the people confusing and lost somewhere im distant memory; but it was all he had, and he was content among their people despite everything. he hoped that every newcomer who crossed their border in search of a new home found it with them. though not bound by blood to them, to his knowledge, the rogues were family. puzzling, frustrating, vaguely familiar at first glance family; but they were all genuine and friendly, welcoming people. he thought of ver, who had taught him so much, of saoirse and her warm heart and warm baked goods, of everyone who was willing to extend a helping hand and kind greeting. it was a nice place to call home.

shay considered himself lucky to be the first person of a new home that a stranger would lay eyes upon. it was a sort of big responsibility, when put that way, but he enjoyed greeting new people and making friends. the retriever puppy would bound over to the border the minute he caught wind of an unfamiliar scent, though concern flickered in his warm brown optics as his gaze settled on the toffee-coated kitsune. they looked... tired. really tired. and he could nearly feel the nerves radiating off of them. he made a note to reel back his own enthusiasm, a small smile gracing his features as he padded over to the new face cheerily. "hey there, i'm shay and you're welcome to the blackheart rogues," he would introduce himself and the place with a wagging tail, "can i have your name? and what brings you around?" he'd offer a bed provided they weren't an enemy; though hell, he'd probably offer them a bed anyway.

// yakan i love them already djskdjks

  • THE DAYS OF DRINKING FROM THIS ARID SEA OF REGRETS ——— TAGS

Kiragi no longer knew what 'home' was. SunClan, as he had known it, was gone- Suga was gone- Sarangerel was gone. They'd been cruelly ripped away from him when he was but six moons old, and to this day he'd never been able to forget the way the ebony blood of his parents had coated the area around him. Home was alien to him now, because not only was SunClan now the Solaris Kingdom, but the bodies of his parents and anything there that would still connect him to them were now gone. He didn't even know if he could call the Blackheart Rogues his 'home'- because he still claimed not to be a member, despite the fact that he essentially was one. It was his fear, mainly- fear of attaching himself to this place, attaching himself to anywhere, in fear it would be torn away from him yet again.

"Hey!" the ashen kitsune would greet the person who had called out to the clan, an inviting smile etched upon his maw. He'd draw to a halt beside Shay, offering the younger canine a smile and a dip-of-the-head in greeting, before focusing his sapphire gaze back onto the kitsune. Strange... another kitsune, and upon closer inspection, a tri-tailed one... with white wings. Winged kitsunes, popping up left and right... and perhaps, this was another one related to him. That fact was even... extremely obvious. Kiragi full well knew he had many half-siblings... so it would be rational to assume that this was one of them. Pulling a gasp from the air, Kiragi would take a step forward. "I'm... Kiragi. Kiragi Arcanium." he'd say, mentioning his surname specifically to test his theory.

    // YAKAN HIII IT'S PIN!!!

+ I LOV THEM JSJSJK KIRAGI IS GONNA LOVE HIS SILING HHH

  • For some time, Corinthian knew what home was like. They remembered that it was warm, full of people that you loved more than the universe itself and that you'd do anything to make sure everyone in your home was safe and sound. They remembered the fantastic festivals that would be thrown, events and all, and the lighthearted banter that would be exchanged between family and friends alike. Unfortunately, a life full of love and warmth was easily ripped away by the greedy claws of the Sanguine Ruins and, yes, Corinthian held no room in their heart to ever forgive the anti-clan for what they've done to them— their home, SunClan, as it once had been a place full of wonder. This odd and foreboding place before them... They weren't sure if they would be able to call it home if it came down to it.

Sunflower yellow eyes turn onto a small boy, a little Retriever whose features bore a smile rivaling the warmth of their patron god and they, too, could not help but return the smile with one of their own, albeit it was as tired as they looked and did not quite reach the corners of their eyes. How precious, they think, some depth of their hearts touched by the mere presence of a child. It just filled them with memories— memories of the past, but endearing they all were. "Ah—" They'd nearly forgot to speak! "Hello, Shay. My name is Corinthian and..."

    "Hey!"

Another voice causes them to trail off from their sentence, their gaze snapping up towards another kitsune that trotted over to greet the duo. Their heart twinged in their chest as their eyes landed upon Kiragi, ba-dum, ba-dum. They looked surprisingly alike, both being the same breed of creature and having three tails exactly. Corinthian was an odd mixture of both their father, Sugaredsun, and their mother, Robin. It was actually rather hard to distinguish who they looked more like as anyone who knew either characters could say that they looked more like their father or their mother. So their darker tipped ears slide forward upon their head, pale eyes growing wide as the other kitsune's name is revealed to them.

    Kiragi Arcanium.

"Oh, Helios..." They nearly wept on the spot but it took every ounce in their being to not do as such and instead a tired but overwhelmingly happy smile came to existence on their features, ever so brilliant. "I'm Corinthian Arcanium-Leonidas... I didn't think I'd find anyone out here, honestly." They remark, a light sigh escaping velvety lips as her gaze dips downward. Their eyes feel wet but not a tear rolled down their cheeks— not yet —and they feel a lot of the stress that had been cramped between their shoulders ebb away. They were sure that Kiragi was an half-sibling of some sort, no doubt from their father. The man certainly did get around a lot, they'd admit that much, but they loved him still. "Has there been anyone else?" They inquire, a question most important, but then they realize where they're at and they sputter almost suddenly. They turn back to Shay, their brows furrowing ever so slightly. "I suppose... I suppose you don't mind me staying, do you?"

[ eeee thank you both !! i'm glad to play corinthian here with you guys <3 ]

  • Lampetia -----

Here is the place where I love you.

"You know my dad?" Lamb couldn't help pipe up, curious when the woman said 'oh Helios' of all things. Not yet understanding religions, all she knew was that her dad's name was Helios so she MUST be talking about him. But one glance around and she noted her father wasn't actually present. So why the call for his name? Coming over, she'd peek out shyly from behind her clanmates, her big blue eyes round as she hugged her tinted pale grey fluffy tail around her paws like a pillow.

    "Speaking"

  • How marvellous it was to find a long-lost loved one. Saoirse could remember with much fondness the vivid rush of adrenaline and pure joy when Blackpines, Gracefulpioneer and Samara showed up on the border of the pines. It was like gaining a piece of your being you didn't even realize you had missed. She wondered, for a moment as she approached with a relaxed gait, how they were all doing. Grace had been sick for a while and had spent a week to themselves, last she heard, but that was months ago. Had the sickness taken them? And what about the Ghostkits? Had they gone back to Mam and Da? There was no way of knowing, and this absolutely petrified the seal-point leader.

"You're more than welcome to stay, Corinthian." The mother of 2 replied, a small, polite smile on her maw. It was a beautiful name, Corinthian. So regal sounding. They seemed like they'd be a great addition to the Rogues. "I'm Saoirse. Where are you travelling from?"

Home to her was a vague concept, she’d attributed it to herself. For so long shenanigans lived without a stable place, she held no home or sanction so in a way her body, her legs and her mind were her metaphorical home. She’d make her refuge wherever she went, home wasn’t the places she’d been to, she held no commitment or love for them. They were just places she’d seen, just places she stayed they weren’t homes. That definition had changed suddenly, no longer did she devote it to her body but she didn’t call the pines her home either. Home to her were the rogues themselves, who accepted her readily and despite her obvious flaws. The pines didn’t make her stay, it was them.

A low pitter of her paws would accompany the large canines arrival. Her bright eyes looking curiously towards Corinthian. He introduced himself as an Arcanium and she got a rather distinct version of deja-vu. The arcaniums were a vast family and somehow she’d managed to meet so many of them between her time here and her time in Solaris. They all seemed to be crawling out of the woodwork miraculously. She was quite fine with them all invading, the more the merrier. ”Welcome to the rogues Corinthian! I’m Ver, if you need a tour or anything feel free to ask me” she’d offer with a faint nod.
