    I haven't really thought of where to take my character yet... Been busy with school, then I was busy over the weekend last few days seeing friends for spring break.


    Now I'm at work, so that's just so conducive to writing

    yeah definitely sounds like something good to add the the RP marcola! angst™ up in here lmao. and to make things even worse i think we should definitely have Atlas attacked while they're away, which will means more horrible-ness for Morgan since his sister is there. (she could be the main mechanic for squad 1 if you want btw).


    she's probably going to be horrified by all the carnage when they get back to base, and probably when they get to Tolstoy too (spolier alert, uber bad stuff went on over there). she probably would get sick of Rikio getting hurt after going head first into things all the time but she'd probably still be good friends with him since he's the guy that would happily have people joke about at his expense and help to lighten the mood of things in general.


    and don't worry about anything, both of you! i completely understand the irl stuff comes first!


    on another note, i'm wondering if i should change Rikio's ability a little bit or not. like, instead of not being able to use the true form of it ever if he can't get someone to nulify it, i think i'll change it so that if he's hit with heavy sedatives he can be effectively shut down and what-have-you after using it. it would still be a last resort though since that could kill him too I think (can't remember if that's a thing or not, probs gonna have to read up on it a bit. it's probably not good for your heart lol).

    Yeah, making her the mechanic for their squad sounds good, because putting lots of effort into a character & then having them have a minor role sucks. I'll make a form for her over the next couple of days, probably will post a wip over on the sign up thread tonight. For their father though, I'll just do a description in the rp if that's okay with you? In fact I'll PM you with what I had in mind on their father & how to integrate him into the rp, just to pass it by you before we actually get into the rp.


    & thanks for understanding!! Afaik too much of any kind of medication will mess you up, so too much sedatives would probably be bad news for Rikio. Maybe rather than sedatives, some type of chemical could be engineered to interrupt/block his abilities for a short period of time? But obviously if something like that was used to shut down his powers and then they ran into more enemies, he'd be left at a major disadvantage in that next fight. Idk, that's just a suggestion.

    I actually like the idea of the base going under siege when the main cast is away -- the bad times never end. Also gives me an opportunity to figure out something important for Agnes to have at home there...

    for side characters you could just do a basic form so you don't have to go through all the trouble of dealing with a fancy n' schtick! and a description in the RP works fine with me! PM me anything you need! also, that makes a whole lot of sense tbh and i like the idea. i mean, Morgan's could even introduce it to them before they head off maybe? and if things are gonna be hell when they get back Rikio's ability might be their ace in the hole too.


    yeah take as much time as you need to my dude! most of the operators and members of Vein have family on Altlas, friends too, so it could be something along those lines.

    probably not for a few hours, but definitely today! i'm stuck at work till later than usual today :p (your girl needs those over time hours ~). I should be up and outta here in like 3 hours though, so not horribly long till I can sit down and get everything for the RP thread together! and all i really have to do for the RP thread is get my post done and throw links and basic info around.

    so basically we're going to start our characters when they're getting on the plane and helping load cargo for the mission (like supplies n' other stuff). they're going to get dropped at a location not far from the Tolstoy base and there's gonna be a hella lot of chimera, more so than there should ever be. the point of the mission is to find survivors and data that will help them figure out what happened. Morgan's dad is going to cause some angst™ for Morgan once they get close to Tolstoy. and finally, at some point during the mission, when they're recovering data and looking for survivors and whatever else, they're going to be informed that Atlas is in trouble but no other info is gonna be given to them until they get back to the plane bc of bad a connection between their coms. and the plane.


    that's basically all the plotting and stuff that's gone on put together I to a somewhat cohesive paragraph lol.

    edit: i should also mention that my week long break is up which is why I'm at work today (and from now on ughhh) and I came back on literally the worst day possible bc we're busy AF for whatever reason

    not quite home yet, but i am off of work now! i'm at a friend's place waiting to get my schedule and what-not for next week but i'll be home in the next hour or so and have the thread up in a bit!

    For the plotting, I say when they're on the plane a Chimera suddenly attacks them after hiding on the plane and causes it to crash somehow in the middle of nowhere. Our characters would be under so much stress for food, water and regenerating their energy while also arguing about everything.

    i like that idea! it might be a bit much to make them crash though, maybe some bad damage to the aircraft and one of the pilots maybe getting yanked out of the plane though? 'cause Atlas wouldn't be able to come by and get them; it wouldn't be able to go to close to the coast line since it's so big. i don't think we should torture our characters thaaaaat much lol.


    on another note, today I looked at a word looking building and said "that building looks like a rejected churro". possibly one of the single dumbest things i have ever said lmao.
