  • The young child had come to know that there was much offered to her in life. Many different routes she could choose between on her journey from birth til death. The sheer volume was enough to trigger anyone's anxiety - especially the young apprentice's. Nearly everything cause a tremor to trickle down her spine like honey since her mother's death. She was not good at any one thing, but was decent in many things. That had to count for something? As the split-faced feline ventured through the pine trees of her home, she had half a mind to visit Lastbastion. But her mother had so many other things on her plate; why burden her more? These thoughts, these aching questions burned through her veins and caused a headache to build. A small frown spread across the black lips of the dual-colored femme as she neared the center of camp.

    The sight of different creatures (for those who inhabited the Shadow Veil were varied) unique in their own ways, milling about and coexisting together.. It was truly a sight to behold. It made her grateful for the diverse environment and it also made her less insecure about her own physical differences. Yes, from afar she looked like any other domestic cat, but upon closer inspection one could see the split edges to her coloring. Genetically speaking she was a chimera, but this was a word she was not all familiar with. She'd heard about it before when a Veiler spoke about it, but she just never followed through with it. Perhaps that should be something she looked in to now as Gemma had recently become interested in learning mostly as it provided a decent enough distraction. "Uhm, hi.. Anyone want to teach me something?" the young female blurted these words out before she'd even really had enough time to process what her request would entail. Or if any of the seemingly busy members around would pay her any mind.

    YOU'VE GOT THAT POWER OVER MEINFO

  • like gemini, beleth had a visible split across his face. on the right was alabaster fur and a stone grey eye, and on the left was black fur with a blue eye. it was like some mad scientist stitched two halves of different cats together, and the stitches along his belly supported this theory. however, those stitches were just from yuuki, and disappointingly, he had just came out of the womb looking strange. perhaps he absorbed a sibling and gained their coloring. he had the strength of an apprentice and a kitten, then.

    then he observed someone who... looked like him. she had a split face, just like him! instantly, he felt drawn to her, and quietly he slipped over. the half-and-half femme spoke, her words sweet like honey, asking people to teach her things.

    what did he have to teach? he had no information, really. he didn't want to disappoint the girl who looked like him, though, and so he searched for information in his head. "um... do you know that death is beneficial to the earth? we decay back into the soil, so really, death isn't anything to be afraid of. we come from the dirt, and thus we shall return," the boy spoke quietly, two-toned eyes relaxed, at ease when talking about his favorite - albeit morbid - subjects.

  • ❝ DRIFTING AWAY IN MY IMAGINATION ❞

    Teach? The word rang in her ears. It was a familiar word. The queens in the nursery used it when they wanted Maggie to be a good little girl and learn and behave and be absolutely still! If she was being truly honest, she hated being still. She wanted to be outside, playing with the grubs and the mud. But they never let her. Maggie had long fur, it was prone to getting dirty and covered in burrs. Still, when the queens weren't looking, she left. She knew it was bad and she felt terribly wicked doing so but the fanged kitten didn't want to be cooped up inside any longer. It's learning! I learn about stuff. She thought, purple eyes shifting side to side before she padded forwards. She headed towards the pair. Beleth was already approaching the feline who'd asked something about teaching. As Magpie came closer, she realized with a start that the two had half faces. As in, color split down the centers of their faces. Her mouth opened- they look so pretty! But the thing that shocked her was that they both had it. She had never looked at Beleth's face close up. Nor this girl, whose name was not spoken yet. Were they siblings? Magpie always wanted siblings. To have big sisters and big brothers that looked out and cared for her. She supposed that some Veilers were that for her. Umbriel, Alastor, Fayina. Levi, on the other hand, was more like her dad.

    "Bugs are sweet cweatures." Magpie offered, sinking down on her haunches as she came closer. She didn't have proper facts like Beleth did (his sounded kind of scary) but she knew a lot of random things about bugs. "Worms wiggle- like this!" And then she began to wriggle-dance, imitating a worm that was pulled from the dirt. Maggie giggled and paused, looking at Geminirising to see the other girls reaction. "Spiders cwawl." She then mocked a spider, belly brushing the forest floor, moving forwards, ears attentive. She felt like a spider and she wished she was one for a second. Well, how fun would that be?

  • AMBROSIAPAW ;;

    -----> Ambi would trot up behind Magpie, smiling down at the little girl. Jeeze the kid was precious. Sitting down beside her, Ambi would greet the unfamiliar molly with a smile. " Hey. Name's Ambrosiapaw Aeternum. Um - Peppermint plants help with headaches, colds, flus and licorice plants help with stomach and lung problems and stress" she offered helpfully. Her two favorite medicinal herbs - who knew candy COULD be healthy?

    " SPEECH "

  • Amusement played across the large canine's facial features as he looked at the gorup that was attempting to teach the younger member some things. They all had different ways of going about it that was for sure and he couldn't help but thing that Maggie's was so cute. Beleth was a little morbid with his facts about death but he couldn't judge as there were a lot of different brains at work here. The male slowly started to think about his former life and how he enjoyed being...someone's possession. It caused a bitterness to sweep over him and he hurriedly pushed it away, realizing that subconsciously he had touched against his neck with his own paw as if he still had that collar own. He didn't know if he was still alive or not but he would be damned if he allowed the other to find him. Slowly the bandaged direwolf moved from the area and he made his way over, shifting to lay his large form near Maggie's after she had demonstrated how bugs wiggled and crawled. She was something else and frankly didn't know she actually liked those creepy crawlers. "Well, depends on what you wanna learn from me. You got some good facts from these lovely individuals but I'd like a little guidance in what you want to expand your knowledge on."

  • "Your mother loves you unconditionally. How about that for a fact?" the whitish-gray Shadowkeeper's voice was one of quiet amusement and affection as she trotted over, settling equidistant from each of her daughters and casting them both loving looks before focusing on Geminipaw. It was nice that her daughter was finally getting into Veil society; Lastbastion wondered absently if she felt inferior to her more active littermates before shrugging it off. She couldn't fix any insecurities her children had - Ambi had taught her that. All she could do was be the best mother she could be. "Ambi, you don't recognize her? It's Geminikit, your little sister - Azazel and Stratopaw all them's littermate!"

    Ugh, Helios didn't really have any facts. He read a lot sure, but it wasn't like he took the time to retain the information. Sure he remembered some useless things like how snakes curled into a ball of noodles to fuck, or how to grow a Venus flytrap but he really never remembered a lot of information. Head tilted back he stared up at the sky above, uh, what could he tell her? Scrounging his memory for some stupid, useless fact he spoke, "Polar bears have a thing on their feet called papillae that keeps them from slipping on ice." That was the dumbest fact he could come up with but it had stuck with Zeis ever since they had to do that stupid fucking project on polar bears in seventh grade. "Uh, I'm Helios."
