He has been travelling for quite a while, and it is only a matter of time before the handsome young man finds himself on BHR territory, feeling himself engulfed in an odd, unified scent. There is no stopping him when he steps foot into the chilly land of the whispering pines, a shiver runs down his spine when his paw pad makes soft contact with the earth. Laslow is aware that this place isn't very ideal for his finer tastes, but he has voyaged a long way and frankly, the inexperienced mercenary would take what he could get.

There is a fire within him, one that intends to spread happiness in joy in dire times. He comes equipped with nor a sword nor shield, but his hopeful expression of jubilee is enough for the boy. A blue pointed tail swishing against the floor of the forest, Laslow seats himself, taking in his surroundings with vigor. Another day was only another chance to do something correct, to meet new people. Perhaps he would even meet a lovely lady, and they could go out for a meal, I am getting ahead of myself! Exclaims the gray-haired boy in his mind, snorting at himself. I must at least think about asking her first! Now, perhaps this way of thinking is rather odd to others, it feels as if there is no optimism to speak of in any of these clans. Laslow believes that is why he was sent here, to spread joy and laughter.

But it starts with one place, this place. And for now, the young feline must wait - he knows how this goes - wait at the border, become initiated. While his loyalty, above all, belongs to his duty, there is no harm in staying a while and settling down. Although he has already attached himself slightly to the Sanguine Ruins, as evidenced by the trace of their scent that he dons on his coat.

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ perhaps unfortunately for the traveler, seamus was no sweet lady. sweet, maybe, but the red-furred domestic cat was fairly confident in his pronouns. nevertheless, he would greet the stranger with a meek smile as he approached gingerly; it was nice to see an increase in people at the border. provided they weren't murderers, the new faces were comforting to see for a change. that said, pale optics briefly looked the boy over as his mind brought up the word murderer. he didn't look dangerous; not in the slightest, actually, with the smile he wore and charming disposition, but you could never be too sure. people had died in this forest, too many. and that was why the lands were so often ridden with grief-stricken people. seamus himself was only just beginning to crawl out of its firm grasp, and he hoped his fellow rogues would not be long to follow. "name and business?" the child asked politely, nodding a quiet greeting to inigo. he wasn't super familiar yet with the scents of their allies, but if he could guess correctly that the visitor was from the ruins he'd be damned.

*:・゚✦ The Rogue territory had begun to grow on Clove. Something about the ancient looking trees and the whispered secrets the wind passed between branches overhead was both endearing and mysterious, and rather than feeling trapped by the dense pines, Clove was beginning to feel as if she was part of them. They were so different to the streets of the Solar City she had grown up in, but it felt like they have just as much of a story to tell.

The story they told now was of a traveller, possibly of the same kind Jerseyboy and Clove had been until yesterday. However, something about this traveller did not allow the kitsune to maintain her calm disposition as she moved through the trees - following the feline's tracks with narrowed autumn eyes.

Ruiner scent always made Clove want to retch. Sometimes it sent her into a rage; and other times, into a howling vortex of despair where she was standing on a beach and looking at lanterns in the sky. The femme wasn't sure that would ever change.

Although she knew the Rogues and the Ruiners were allies, Clove hadn't expected to interact with them so soon after coming back into clan life. And it was clear the kitsune wasn't coping very well; her shoulders had begun to shake, and her breath was quickening. Her only comfort was that the scent was faint, so this person had either only passed by Ruiner lands, or had not been active within the group for a while. Clove hoped it was the former.

As she turned the corner, Clove's gaze finally fixed upon the source of her discomfort - a domestic cat, perhaps only just over apprentice age. No threat to her. Or that was what her rational mind was saying - most of her mind was screaming at her to either strike the creature down before he struck her, the same way his brethren had destroyed her parents, or to run and to not stop.

Clove halted a few metres away from Inigo and Saemus, battling to keep the distrust inside her from making it's presence known on the outside.

    /asajdlksdj I love Inigo already

  • the pregnant feline would approach carefully, weariness in her wide amber optics as she slid up beside seamus. as she walked back clove, the tip of her tail brushed the other's shoulder in a calming way - not that the two knew each other exceptionally well, but the enforcer was keen on picking up discomfort. seeing as her godson had said what was needed to be said, she offered the stranger a soft, friendly smile and sat down, awaiting his response.

  • /hae-rose, did you play ruined innocence??

Lucky for him he is nice to pretty much everyone, as long as they aren't on his bad side, that is. He wants things so go as planned, so when he is approached by a Rogue his first instinct is to brighten his smile and puff out his chest. He sure is small for his age but that does not matter, he has wit on his side, and that isn't something, in his mismatched eyes, to be discriminated against for. The pretty boy dusts himself off and greets the young child with tones of warmness, his accent lavishing the area around him with optimism. It is a theatrical speech that mostly everyone receives upon meeting him, a wink and a pose later, his speech is complete, it goes as follows. "I go by many names, young child! But they call me Laslow. Who's they? That's for me to know and you to find out."

He flips his hair to the side, as if brushing off applause. In his mind they are cheering his name, though in reality he is standing in front of three strangers - two of which, women - making a slight jest of himself. So to Clove, he gives a charming smile, noticing her unease and hoping to lift her from it. The Ruiners, to him, are sort of nice. They find joy in his dancing and they accept him, quirks and all. It makes him feel a tad secure in his insecurities, which is why he has committed for longer than any other group he has visited so far. To the kitsune, he purrs lightly. "Hello love, a beautiful evening we have tonight! Almost as beautiful as you." It is a genuine compliment on his part, though many take it as flirting, he simply enjoys looking at Clove. Her purity in white is astonishing to the young boy, who has received a less than ideal birth body for himself.

Then there is the silent stranger, approaching. Pregnant or not, no woman was safe from his love, so he gives her a light smile and says bashfully. "And you have very pretty, sun-coloured eyes. Everyone is just lovely.""

  • — Truth be told, Jerseyboy was quite the casanova. He had once charmed the figurative pants off of the Empress of The Empire and the Queen of the Sanguine Ruins several times, and there had been many flings in between that. In fact, he could not keep count. Perhaps it was a shameful title to possess, the "resident womanizer", but Jerseyboy never claimed to be a holy or moralistic person. He never claimed to be clean of sin and free of vices. Granted, Jerseyboy hadn't gotten any action in that particular department in a while, he still liked to believe he had a certain way with words... especially around the ladies.

The tuxedo cat arrived, unfortunately, just in time to throw a fork into the stranger's fun. He was admittedly amused by the kid and his attempts to flirt; and they actually weren't bad at all. Jerseyboy tended to be more blunt and straightforward himself. However, this show was getting a bit tedious, and he was growing impatient, "Alright, lover boy. You can tone it down now, eh?" He walked forward to side with Clove, the one here who he knew the best. Perhaps it was not his place to speak, considering he had just joined this place the day before, but he really didn't give a shit. He was a natural control freak, and if something wasn't going his way, then he'd intervene. "You need somethin'? Or are you just here t' give out free compliments?" Maybe he just wasn't used to the idea of other people attempting to charm his traveling companion... but it wasn't as if this kid was any real competition to him anyways. Not that Jerseyboy was protective over Clove in that way or anything.

*:・゚✦ [ oof I did yes, been a long time since anyone’s recognised me as her rper! ]

Clove started when Saturnring’s tail touched her shoulder, but said nothing in response to the well meant gesture. Clearly she wasn’t doing a very good job at hiding her agitation.

Taking several deep breaths, the kitsune told herself that despite him carrying the Ruins’ scent, he was not Barbara or anyone she recognised, so would likely not know her either. A small comfort, but not one that made the femme trust Laslow any more than previously.

His charming words and smile were unfortunately lost on Clove. Had she even been in a state of mind to recognise that the child was attempting to flirt, she would have been so unimpressed that Laslow would probably never get to see her ‘beautiful’ self again.

Beautiful was not a word Clove would use. Striking, perhaps. She had no false modesty, being well aware that her markings, wings and twin tails ensured she was not easily forgettable...but whether that made her beautiful or freakish was yet to be debated by the kitsune.

Unlike Jerseyboy, Clove didn’t have a list of ex flames. There were no lovers in her past, not even one. Clove had always been running, and the paranoia that had followed her since childhood made it near impossible for her to relax with strangers. Truth be told, she had no desire to even do so - or if she did, it wa so suppressed it would take a lot of coaxing out of her.

“You speak as if you never do the same, Jerseyboy.” the femme said after a moment, focus being pulled from the Ruiner scent that was suffocating her nose to the tuxedo cat that moved to stand beside her. She couldn’t tell whether Jerseyboy was aware of her internal conflict, but she was glad of the distraction he offered -unknowingly or not - regardless.

  • /i played lostboy innocence and juvenile innocence, also she was in colouredclan where i played lucinda

Maybe people think of Las as a womanizer, but the blue point only believes that those people simply do not know him like he knows himself. He only wishes he could have a little more confidence, then maybe he could follow through on his kind words and build lasting relationships with others instead of this wall he has now. The small feline watches as a man approaches, one that is quite confident in style and nature. Who the hell has the guts to rock a bowtie these days? All Laslow thinks as he opens his mouth, his that he wants to sit down and have a long conversation with this guy. Because he could surely teach him everything he knew.

He register's Clove's blank reaction and only frowns. Awe, he sort of wanted to cheer her up. Maybe he'd find a way to do it later.

With his mouth agape, a smile stretches across his maw when Jerseyboy speaks, planting a paw in the middle of his chest as a sign of flattery. "Lover boy, that is so kind of you to say." He gives a small chuckle, before attempting (and failing) to connect the dots between Jerseyboy and Clove. He nods to what he thinks is the correct response, while he is not immune to flirting with taken people, he has the audacity to at least wait until they were not present. With a determined smile, Laslow nods to himself. "Ah, I see. You're a lucky guy!" He chirps thoughtfully, before answering the next question. "Ah yes, my business. My apologies. While I can give out free compliments on the border all I'd like I'd much rather do it perhaps somewhere I can call home. You see, I am a traveler, I have recently journeyed from the Ruins - lovely people might I say - and I was wondering if I could crash here a few nights.""

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ seamus nodded to clove, surprised to see the femme up and about the territory already. he would have thought that the newcomers would have stuck around camp for a while first, but to each their own, he supposed. he offered the kitsune a meek smile, which was soon directed to saturnrings, too, as his godmother approached on the scene. he wasn't too uncomfortable in the stranger's company; he seemed friendly enough, though the presence of someone he knew well was appreciated. and speaking of the friendly stranger, he was growing on seamus quickly with each word he spoke. a bit of a dramatic fellow, laslow was, but charming and humorous. seamus' lips parted in a small, genuine grin at the enthusiastic speech, encouraged to introduce himself in return. "nice to meet you, laslow, i'm seamus." that was probably the bravest he'd ever felt around a stranger in a while. his flirting with the women of the blackheart rogues did leave a little to be desired, especially judging by their reactions, but it was a funny display nonetheless, particularly as jerseyboy got involved. "i don't think they're—" -together. there was probably no point trying to correct the traveler's mistake, the boy mused, well aware that clove and jersey would likely pounce on him for even suggesting it. what he could address was arranging for a place to stay. "you're welcome to stay as long as you need, i'm sure we can find a room in the church for you."

//is inigo,,, by any chance,,, based off of inigo montoya from the princess bride :^0

  • /ah no, different inigo from the fire emblem games <3 love inigo montoya and he would definitely use his lines psh

The young domestic feline is a tad awkward it seems, sort of reminds Laslow a bit of himself when he was a kid. The young man tries to make his mannerisms as welcoming and jubilant as possible, as to distract from his previous transgression and to get a move on because he really needed to sort his things out. The kid smiles warmly at the smaller kitten, wishing that there was just a little bit more height between them. Many often still confused him for a child. "That's a pretty cool name, Seamus, did you know it means "ocean" in another language?" It actually doesn't, but he took the word "sea" from the name and went with it, maybe then the kid would think he was cool - and the ladies would think wow he is really good with kids. Pausing for effect, the boy then cocks his head to the right at the mention of a church. He isn't aware of a church on this territory, but he'd role with it. "How generous! Which way to this 'church'?" He asks, looking around excitedly and waiting to follow anyones' lead.
