  • Eddie didn't find himself adapting to this new life. Rather he still rejected it just as much as the first time he tried to become part of a society again. This was a simple test, giving the man a chance at living in society before any final decisions. So far it hadn't been doing all that well, other then the supposed free food they had around here. It was different then what he usually ate, yet he did enjoy the few things he did consume. Currently a lollipop stick stuck out of his mouth as he walked, unable to understand why they lived in something so broken down. What caused the creatures around here to choose this space? Why were they so lenient with allowing travelers to stay among their ranks? So many questions and yet here he was not getting any answers towards his curiosity.

Being alone had allowed his anxiety to drop significantly, which was another reason he didn't go searching for someone. Almost all the people he originally trusted had vanished from this world, leading him to become more and more distant. His paws would shift into the gravel beneath them, before taking a few breaths. That part of his life was over, there wasn't a reason to keep dwindling back on it. There was a sense of pain erupting from his chest when it came to think of the past. Wounds that should've closed up long ago were still sore and aching. For those wandering upon the tabby, he would look ill and sickly despite nothing being wrong other then his mentality. They wouldn't be able to do anything to stop this, so it wouldn't be worth them to try.

Seeing their medic wasn't an option he wanted to take, especially with the whole touching bits. They may be trying to help him deal with these past issues, but Eddie couldn't trust someone like that. He promised to not start any trouble, but if someone provoked him enough then it was the inevitable. Most would be crying at this time, but he instead kept most of the bad emotions bundled up until they blew. So in a sense he was just a ticking time bomb, waiting for someone to do or say the wrong thing. Hopefully this moment of vulnerability wouldn't been seen and used against him.

faustine ★ shadow veil ★ kit ★ female

Faustine had held out for a few days without having any significant encounters with her clanmates. For the detached feline, this was a deliverance from the unease that she felt on a regular basis. Despite feeling a strong connection with her family, relating to others was an entirely different obstruction. When she was haphazardly strolling with her gaze cast blindly on the ground below, she nearly collided with Eddie. Bitterly awoken from her daze, the wide-eyed femme was inarticulate with embarrassment. By the looks of it, this unaccompanied stranger was in no mood to be startled by a reckless kitten, but Faustine was in no mood to turn back. She didn't exactly have anything to go back to, other than an empty nest and the aroma of festering bones. So, there she would remain with the bedraggled Eddie. "Whoops. Didn't see ya there." She rasped with the enthusiasm of a rat carcass marinating in a fecal pond. "You look like you've seen better days."

  • Usually a stranger would've been met by a mess of words spilling from his mouth. The one thing that stopped him was a promise to be good, to refuse to bring and cause trouble during his stay. It wouldn't be good if the tabby managed to cause an entire clan to hate him, even if he did disagree with some of the things they did. A halfhearted chuckle came from the male, yet he was still faced away from the kitten. "You'd be right there kid...."The tone in his voice didn't give a hint to much emotion, other then just feeling down.

There wasn't a true reason for him to feel like this, other then having an abnormally large crowd around you 24/7. Living alone in the unclaimed world had its charms, as well as it's own issues but they were more peaceful. Being dedicated to a singular clan meant you needed to fight for them. Eddie wasn't planning on becoming a veiler, but his mindset could change in the future.

  • ♥♥♥ "Do you... uh... need to talk about it?" came her quiet and reserved voice as she came over, keeping her wings tucked close for her own comfort. The feathers gave off a sense of comfort and need, calming what anxiety she had. This newcomer seemed so nice, so quiet... so peaceful. She took a deep breath before offering a small smile.

"I am Jadedragon, I don't believe we've met." she nodded, ears swiveling back and forth as if she was contemplating something. "I'm a duskguard here, um... I do hope you are enjoying your stay here." ears suddenly flattened as she cursed herself for being so stupid and speechless all the time. Haha, she sure did hope this stranger didn't find her pathetic.
