as the girls neared the boys' house, emma was a bit shocked to see not too many people around. were they the first ones here? although, others could've parked inside the gate, but they would've needed the gate code and the boys really aren't supposed to give that out in case it got leaked. fans who know that kind of information can get wild. but uber is always an option as well. that's a huge change from atlanta. uber was getting popular in atlanta, but it was never at the level uber is in los angeles. nearly everyone ubers around here, but emma couldn't seem to get behind it. must be her fear of being kidnapped.

the girls parked on the street and walked to the house, allowing madison to knock. sam was the one to open the door, and emma smiled as a greeting. "hi!" emma greeted, her voice somewhat soft and somewhat raspy. she's been getting vocal lesson recently, much like madison, and it was definitely starting to take an effect. stepping inside, emma gave sam a hug, gently giving his torso a small squeeze, sense he was too tall for her to comfortably wrap her arms around his shoulders without having to go on the tips of her toes.

soon after they met sam, colby came around the corner to greet them as well, emma instinctively looked at madison, just to catch her reaction. colby definitely looked... at home. definitely eager to get in the pool. she greeted colby with the same semi-raspy voice, but instead decided to go for a wave instead of a hug. the interaction was short before the girls were told to go put their things upstairs, in which emma led the pair upstairs and into devyn's room, where a few other girls were sitting in a group, taking pictures together. setting her bag by the door, emma and madison were happily welcomed by the girls and were invited to join the picture session, in which emma gladly accepted.

colby brock

when everything was back at home and in the house, colby made it his task to sort all the supplies out so thy had more room to work with when the food arrived. he took two of the cup bags and set them out on the island, putting all the other cups in an empty cabinet to get out later. he did the same with the silverware and the plates, only taking out what they needed. their afternoon crowd wasn't too big, but it was a pretty good size.

around this time, they heard the knock on the door and colby shot his head up, glancing towards the doorway to watch sam open the door. he heard some voices and looked at corey at the other end of the kitchen, who then said it was emma and madison. heading out to greet them at the door, colby smiled. "hey you two!" colby greeted, joining them to make a semi square. "we're glad you could make it." he commented.

madison returned sam's hug gently before stepping out of the way. she glanced around the semi-familiar house,a soft smile on her face. she was excited to be here and get this show on the road. her attention was grasped by a rather bare colby turning the corner to greet them. she smiled but also blushed deeply, catching emmas glance at her from her peripheral vision. she tried really hard not to start and kept her eyes evenly on his face. "hey colbs!" she greeted, willing the blush to go away and hoping it wasn't too obvious. the girls were directed upstairs to which madison followed emersons lead. they sat their stuff down and were immediately welcomed by their girl group. madison let out a soft sigh, going to join the picture taking. the girls took quite a few and madison was pleased with them. they all looked adorable. "hey catch you girls in a bit, i'm gonna go swim!" she excused herself before slipping downstairs.

she glanced around before spotting colby. she approached him from behind, took a brief moment to admire his back muscles before tapping him on the shoulder. she grinned up at him as he turned around. "i would ask if you're ready to swim, but i think i already know the answer." she giggled, motioning to his lack of shirt and swimming trunks already on. she glanced outside the glass doors to the pool. everything looked so nice and there were string lights hung up and music already on. it was very well done. she eyed a watermelon float in the pool and was already mentally claiming it as her own.

sam immediately took note of emmas raspy voice. he chalked it up to her excessive vocal lessons she had been doing lately. he watched the girls head upstairs post his suggestion and smiled slightly. he went to the kitchen to double check everything. while they were upstairs a few more people arrived to which he greeted them. he then found himself chatting with corey about lord knows what. he was half paying attention to the conversation. they were by the sliding glass door to the backyard. he watched elton keep running in and out and grabbing various objects and extension cords. he chuckled and shook his head. "the pizza should be here soon..." he commented, checking his phone.

madison appeared behind colby and once the two of them began talking sam and corey slipped away. corey went upstairs to find devin and the rest of the girls and sam went outside to see what elton was doing. "this looks awesome elton, do you need any help?" he asked, crossing his arms. elton wanted to decorate outside and he actually did a great job. he was skeptical though, it was almost too nice. the blonde boy couldn't help but wonder what he was secretly up to. or what the catch was. when elton said no sam huffed and nodded, choosing to return inside. just as he did the pizza arrived. seeing colby busy with madison and corey and jake no where to be seen he decided to go get it. he took the pizzas and set them in the kitchen. he moved to the stairs and called up to the girls, "pizza's here if you guys are hungry!" he hoped emma came down so they could get to talking. he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could before she left for seoul. tonight was a great opportunity to do so.

(( ahh i'm back! i had to take a serious hiatus to finish out school and to make time for cheer since practices were starting up more frequently (i even have camp for the next two days, so i guess i'm still not completely back from my hiatus ;-;) but, i've really been wanting to reply for so long, but i've either never had the time or motivation to write. but, that should change for now until the fall semester starts in about a month! ))

as soon as madison left, emma grinned, resulting in a teasing reaction from the other girls. they all knew madison and colby had something for each other, but seeing emma react in that way made them react like they never knew at all. but at the same time, emma's in the same boat as the other girls. she doesn't know anything aside from the crushes on each other, as well as all the cute gushy things madison says about him. god, if colby knew what kind of cute stuff she says about him, he'd actually probably ask if that was the madison he knew. the madison everyone sees is a badass, a total girl crush. emma secretly envied her rebellious aura, emma couldn't seem to escape her cute "sweet girl" aesthetic. although, sudden complete changes now would be too unusual for everyone and even emma herself. luckily, she still has her girl friends to help her "angst-ify" her wardrobe, which she is extremely thankful for.

after a small chat about little topics, including the girls' relationships between the boys, the girls decided to head downstairs after they heard noise starting to get louder downstairs. following the group, emma recollected with madison in the kitchen. she gave her a interested look, as if she was asking her how things were going. the smell of pizza was overwhelming, though, as emma finally noticed the lined pizza boxes on the kitchen island. she was pretty hungry, but decided it was best if she wouldn't eat too much pizza today. too much pizza upsets her stomach, which isn't great considering the amount of pizza parties she's been invited to in her lifetime.

taking a paper plate, emma slid one of the slimmer cheese pieces onto her plate, followed by grabbing a cup for water. "thank you for lunch!" she thanked the boys of the house who were in the kitchen, before stopping right at sam. "you look like you've been pretty busy, have you been all over the place this morning?" she asked. the way he's been surveying the entire house shows emma that he's been moving from place to place, probably rushed. it takes a lot to set up an event like this, hopefully he isn't stressed out about making everything enjoyable for others, that's not entirely what get-togethers like this are about. he needs to enjoy himself, too.

colby brock

colby was leaning against the posts in the kitchen, joining in on conversation with the others in the area. after they realized that everything was pretty much here, it was easy for him to relax and start enjoying himself. yes, he does need to keep a sense of responsibility as a host, but he's also here to have fun. it is his house, after all.

after a moment of talking, he felt a slight tap on his shoulder. he turned around to see madison, which made him give a small smile. "oh, hey mads!" he greeted. part of him wanted to give her a hug, but it would be a little awkward with the others watching, especially sam who knew about everything. corey and elton were starting to catch on, just from the conversations they'd overhear between sam and colby, so were all their other friends. while it wasn't confirmed, colby really wasn't the best at hiding it, or his friends weren't. it's a surprise madison hasn't found out about it yet.

speaking of madison, when she commented on him being ready to swim, cobly looked down, realizing what he was wearing, or lack thereof. "yeah, i'm pretty ready to jump in. we don't use the pool often, i want to at least make the most of it. it's a part of the rent, so might as well use it." he laughed, trying to hide the subtle redness his cheeks were showing. for a moment, he totally forgot that he wasn't wearing a shirt. that happens a lot, colby could even leave the house, go to the store, and come home before even noticing he didn't have a shirt on. just dude things.

"are you ready for tonight? i assume you're just staying here all day?" he asked, his shoulder pressing up against the post for stability. madison was just a bit shorter than him, but he still had to look down at her every time they talked. every video he's seen, she's always looked pretty tall, but that's because she's always next to emma. heck, even emma looks pretty tall in videos, but it was sure a surprise when he first met them, he could've sworn they were taller. but, that's the magic of videos. unless you have something to scale height off of, it's hard to determine how tall people are. even colby gets comments saying others expected him to be taller.

madison giggled, her eyes bright with happiness. it was clear she was happy to be here and among friends. "oh yeah, i totally understand." she nodded quickly, trying hard to keep her gaze on his face still. it was beginning to become rather difficult the longer she stood in front of him. it did help her being short, so having to look up at him kept her eyes from wandering too far easily. madison swayed a little as she stood. she didn't usually sit still and those that knew her well enough were aware that when just standing around she was swaying slightly or tapping her foot. perks of anxiety.

"yeah, em and i thought it'd be easier to just stay and get ready here. our things are upstairs!" she smiled, glancing towards the stairs. the girls were still up there but she had a feeling they'd be coming down soon enough. "but yes i'm stoked about tonight, it'll be fun!" she commented, conversation flowing smoothly between the two. they never really had trouble talking to one another and that's something she really enjoyed about colby. she was able to talk to him for hours on end without feeling bored or running out of things to talk about. her gaze found the pool again and she suddenly got excited. a few people were already out there and getting in and she wanted to join them. the girls came downstairs in this moment and she locked gaze with emma. she knew the look she was receiving all too well and subtly shook her head with a playful smile on her face.

"come on colbs, let's go swim!" she said suddenly, slipping her hand around the taller male's left bicep and leading him after her to the pool. she only released him once they were outside. she paused by an empty lawn chair and slipped her shorts off, draping them over the seat. she was wearing an oversized t-shirt, and she grabbed the hems of it and pulled it over her head revealing her in her cute yellow bikini that brought out her eyes. she laid the shirt over her seat and turned to the pool, grinning at colby. she walked over and dipped her toes in the pool. "ah it's a little chilly!" she mused, debating on jumping in or taking the stairs. she gave colby a look that basically dared him to push her in. she wouldn't be surprised if he or one of the other guys did honestly.

sam left the stairs and joined corey and jake in their conversation. madison and colby were still off to the side. corey began to make a comment about the two love birds in the corner but sam shut the playful teasing down quickly before either of them could hear. it was clear their friends were catching onto the boys feelings. it was hard not to since they both tended to talk about the girls a lot or were with them. they seemed to be picking up on colby and madison a bit more so than he and emma. maybe it was because the two had been up late face timing almost every night or the fact they've hung out a lot by themselves recently. every time madison's name was mentioned colbys head shot up. he tried to hide it but it was obvious. sam smirked at the thought. sam left the boys to go grab a bite of pizza before he was gonna head out to the pool. he got a napkin and a plate and got one slice of cheese pizza. just as he did so, he could hear the stampeded of girls coming down from upstairs. he turned around, mid-bite to see emerson enter the kitchen.

he finished chewing and his 'your welcome' muffled in with the other boys present. he took another bite as em grabbed herself a plate and a cup for water. he leaned against the kitchen island, watching as she approached him. he smiled at her, setting his plate down on the counter beside him. he needed a drink. "you have no idea." sam laughed as he poured himself a sprite. he added a few ice cubes before re-joining emerson by the counter. "it was a semi-hectic morning but everything turned out good. i'm ready to just chill out by the pool." he admitted with another chuckle, taking a sip of his drink before setting it down and replacing it with his paper plate. "how was you're morning?" he asked. it wasn't too late in the afternoon now, and emma had probably been up for hours getting things done. sam admired her productivity. he glanced over his shoulder to see madison leading colby out to the pool. those two were followed by a few others. the majority of their guests were still inside and getting pizza etc. sam and emerson were tucked away into the corner of the kitchen and out of peoples way, luckily for them. "did you have any of your classes or practices this morning?" he questioned her, finishing off his pizza. he knew madison had a lot of training going on in the mornings so he wondered if emma had something similar.

(( i literally just said i was back last time and then i leave again this is absurd my life is a MESS,, but little life update, my athletics team is having a "hell week" which is basically like 3 practices a day until sunday, which then leaves me 2 days free until school starts again ;-; but at least i don't have to work this week, that's great lmao ))

hearing about sam's hectic morning, emma gave him a mixture of sympathy and happiness, considering how he's acting pretty okay, despite having to run all over town this morning. if it was up to emma, she definitely would've had everything ready to go the night before, she absolutely hates rushing and running around the day of an event. but sometimes, things like this can't be helped and it's also a household of boys they're talking about. at least elton is pretty good at preparation and planning and the others try to be, but keyword is try.

as sam shifted the conversation to her, emma smiled, giving him a slight nod. "yeah, we filmed some pretty good stuff yesterday," she started, putting one finger over her mouth. "but i'm not supposed to be sharing this information yet, so shhh!" she said, giggling a little as she was happily hushing herself. "i also had a fun time this morning doing some vocal stuff. they think i'll be able to be done with one more good day, so that's a relief." she explained. honestly, emma isn't even supposed to be sharing this information, but it's only her best friends that are being told, and she knows they won't say anything. actually, she isn't supposed to say anything about being a part of this whole thing until she's officially announced. it's more fair for everyone, since some girls have a bigger following and that can play a huge role in creating an actual group that'll be performing in front of crowds.

once emma was finished eating, she looked outside, seeing madison and colby already venturing into the pool. that was quick. "let's go outside! it looks really nice out!" she suggested, looking out towards the backyard. elton still looked pretty busy and emma was starting to get curious. plus, the water looked really enticing to emma, she was definitely going to get in soon, even if it's just sitting on the edge.

colby brock

after arriving outside, colby let madison get herself situated as he glanced over to see how elton was doing, or more so what he was doing. even though him and madison had a pretty good relationship, it's a little flirty, pretty funny, pretty cute, he still felt a bit weird about watching her take off her shirt, even if she did have a swimsuit on underneath. when he turned back around to talk to madison, he smiled. of course madison would wear something as bright as a yellow swimsuit. he also noticed how good she looked. he could tell she was putting in a lot of work recently and he was incredibly proud of her. her and emma were both doing so much lately and still staying on top of their youtube work, colby could never manage as much as they are.

as madison went to test the water, colby really, really wanted to just push her in. but, would that be too mean? others were starting to venture over to the pool, either just staring at it or even dipping a hand in just to get a feel. "chilly? surely not, the sun's been on this pool all morning!" colby questioned, bending down to run his hand through the water. sure enough, it was still a little cold, but colby was expecting it to some extent. from a small distance away, colby could've sworn he heard a very devious "a bit chilly? hmm," it nearly sounded like elton, but colby could've sworn he was off doing elton things.

that is, until he felt a rough push on his hips, throwing him into the pool. yep, it was definitely chilly. as he surfaced, colby threw his head back to get the hair out of his face, first seeing elton laughing hysterically. typical. "what the hell? elton i thought you were busy!" colby exclaimed, wading over to the edge of the pool, crossing his arms over the concrete. hmm, he could probably work with this. "mads, this water isn't too bad after sitting in it for a little bit. sitting on the edge and getting in gradually would probably be a bit better than getting devilishly pushed in." he suggested, flashing a revengeful glare at elton, who only walked away with a big, happy smile. hopefully madison played into colby's hand, this was only his first step.

but yes my school started last thursday and ever since my life has been hectic and JAM PACKED. my church is in a 21 days of prayer session so I get up at 4:45am every morning to go to that (it starts at 6) then right after go straight to school then right after school go straight to work and don’t get home til 6:00pm then I go to the gym from 7:00-9:00 and finish up on hw and stuff. so like, my activity is crazy and I won’t be super active for a bit so I just wanted to kinda let you know my schedule and stuff for the upcoming weeks! I try to pop on and respond to short things when I catch a minute though. i’ll get a reply up for this thread tomorrow hopefully!!

madison glanced up at the beaming sun at colby's mention of it. he was right, the pool should be a bit warmer. well madison had this tendency to always be colder than the average person so maybe it was just chilly to her. she watched as colby ran his hands through the water before confirming it was indeed a little chilly. madison felt relieved to see she wasn't alone in thinking that. her eyes darted to the figure moving quickly and quietly behind colby. it was elton, clearly going in for the kill. keep a neutral face though she was grinning on the inside madison simply averted her eyes to the water again to not draw suspicion. however right as elton's hands made contact with colby's hips she made sure she was looking as he fell into the water with a splash. she busted out laughing along with elton, giving him a high-five before he walked away.

"Ah, couldn't have done it better myself." she said softly, the surrounding laughter dying down as the rest of the onlookers outside went back to their business. madison walked closer to the edge of the pool, standing in front of where colby was resting against the side. "oh, you think so?" she tilted her head to the side, contemplating his suggestion. he was probab;y right, maybe her gradually getting in will give her body time to adjust instead of just shocking it by jumping in. "okay, you're probably right." she said after a moment, moving over and sitting down next to colby's arms. she let her feet dangle in as she leaned back a bit, the sun falling right on her. "I hope I get a nice tan after this." she said, feet kicking lightly in the water. she tilted her head back some too, just enjoying the warmth of the sun for a few moments before she sat up straight and blinked a few times, head turning down to look at colby. "i think i'm going to plan a trip to brazil." she said spontaneously. the warm sun reminded her of her home and she wanted to go back and visit some family and old friends, but she wanted emma colby and sam to go too. they're such a huge part of her life, and she wanted them to see where she's from. "and i want you to come too." she said right after, her eyes trained on his blue ones, her face displaying a soft smile. "and sam and emma too, of course." she said after realizing how that might have come off. she broke gaze and looked at the blue water, her feet kicking slowly and without splashing.

oooh sam hummed at her response, feeling a weird surge of pride at how productive she was being. he could never do what she was doing, balancing all her training with shoots and lessons and classes. not to mention also keeping her youtube channel active! this girl was amazing! he chuckled at her, rolling his eyes playfully. "You know I won't tell a soul!" he nodded, glancing around the emptying out kitchen. "But hey, that vocal stuff being over will be one less thing to worry about, so maybe you could relax some." he laughed lightly, knowing she wouldn't really have anytime to relax until this whole thing was over. unless you counted this as relaxing. but you really couldn't, the trap house parties were never relaxing, something was always going on.

following her gaze, sam nodded and started walking towards the trash can. "Oh yeah, it's super nice out." he commented as he threw his sprite can and paper plate away. he turned and led the way, pulling open the sliding glass door and walking outside. he saw colby in the pool next to madison, elton walking up their huge diving platform he had made, jake, tara, corey, and mike were in the hotub. and he and emma just joined them outside. the other guests were inside still, mostly the girls and they were still eating and talking. sam took off his shirt quickly, and tossed it in the nearest chair. he had been working out with colby lately and was getting more defined muscles and abs, so he was kinda proud of the way he looked today. it was good, because he wanted emma to think he was attractive but also knew if anything were to happen she's the type of girl who would like someone for their personality over their looks any day. sam got in via the stairs and walked deeper into the pool. that was a mistake because just as he did elton canon-balled and splashed him. "goddangit elton!!" he laughed, eyes finding emma as he motioned for her to get in the pool.

(( i know i might've said earlier that i kinda have this stuff planned out but for the future of this thread, i'm having trouble deciding what i want emma' s vidcon group thing to sound like because i'm extremely indecisive and i can't pick so i want to get your input! i'm deciding between this group (x x x) and this group (x x x). i like the first group because they have more music for me to work with and they have a more youthful and fun vibe, but i also like the second group because they're absolutely badass and the choreography is really energetic and fun to watch,,, ah i'm so conflicted this is why i can't make decisions ))

walking outside, emma was a bit surprised at all the activity going on. nearly everyone had moved outside by now and they were either congregating by the pool or moving towards the jumping platform to do something crazy. elton was already on the top of the structure and emma made note of it before deciding to go in. she'll either get splashed badly or hit if she went in now so waiting will have to do.

moving over to where madison left her things, emma did the same, sliding off her sandals and taking off her clothes over her swimsuit. at this time, elton jumped, mainly splashing sam. exactly what she predicted would happen to her if she got in earlier. laughing, emma made her way to the edge of the pool, sliding into the water by the stairs. "it's cold!" she squealed, crossing her arms across herself to rub her arms to "warm herself" as she got used to the water.

finally joining sam, fully in the water, emma noticed herself bouncing off of the floor, her chin close to being fully submerged. she forgot that most pools are 5 feet deep, and emma barely makes the cut. maybe someone will be nice and donate a floatie for the "emma don't drown because of how short you are" foundation, but she should be fine now. lucily her hair was up all the way so it wouldn't get wet. "sam, your hair looks a little wet!" she teased playfully, noting how elton completely drenched him as he jumped. he'd probably get her back since she said something, and it'd probably be easy to. all he needs to do is push her shoulders down with little effort and it'd be enough to make her go fully underwater. being short is sometimes a curse.

feeling a splash of water come from where colby and madison were, emma flinched as she looked over, seeing madison now in the water instead of sitting. "elton!" emma said trying to cover her face from getting any more wet, but that plan failed since her hand itself was wet from being underwater. 10/10 logic, emma. "that's what, three people now?" emma asked, taking tally of how many people elton's teased so far. pushing colby in, splashing sam, now pushing madison in, emma was surely next. but he wouldn't dare do anything to a girl who can barely keep her head above water, right?

colby brock

when madison sat down on the edge of the pool, colby walked over to meet her, crossing his arms on the ledge to stay put. she looked really nice and peaceful sitting there, colby nearly felt bad for wanting to trick her into getting into the pool. maybe it was the way the sun glowed off of her cheeks, or the way she looked fully happy being around the water and all of their friends, colby just really loved seeing madison happy. he's recalled instances where madison's looked upset, disturbed or sad and there's just something about those moments where colby doesn't feel right. it's like whenever she's not happy, he isn't either. he truly wants the best for her, it's starting to affect his own feelings as well.

hearing about madison's plans to visit brazil, colby looked up at her, tilting his head. brazil always sounded so nice when he's heard stories and the pictures are always so beautiful. it's always been somewhere he's wanted to go, but they've never gotten around to planning a tfil trip to brazil, so he's never had reason to go. majority of his trips are work related, even if his work doesn't seem like work. "really? that'd be fun. do you have any idea for how long, or what you'd want to do?" he asked, curiosity beginning to flare. colby honestly knew nothing about brazil or what there was to do around the country, so madison being their tour guide would be an amazing trip, on camera or off.

speaking of tfil and cameras, colby noticed elton coming back, yet again. he can never get enough, can he? even though colby was planning on pushing madison in anyways, it was like elton was out for war or something. no rest for the wicked, apparently. as soon as colby was about to expose him, elton gave a huge motion to be quiet, which is extra but whatever. colby kept trying to continue his conversation with madison, half hoping it'd distract her and half hoping elton would overhear their conversation and stop. but, it's elton and when he has a plan, he sticks to it. after moments of sneaking, colby moved back as elton snuck up behind madison, easily picking her up under the shoulders so she wouldn't scratch the back of her legs as she went in. "time to go in!" elton said happily as he tossed madison in. luckily, since she was partially in the water, it didn't even look like her face went underwater, it was more like she jumped in herself.

madison's gaze remained on colby, almost missing emma and sam come out. het attention was taken by the giant splash followed by sam's undeniable goddangit that followed. bringing a hand up to her mouth, she giggled, watching the blonde shake his hair like a dog ridding water and then elton laugh and proceed to the stairs. it was then she noticed emma over by the chair she discarded her clothing in. she gave her a wave before focusing back in on colby and their conversation. "yes really!" she grinned and nodded, her eyes bright with excitement. it was clear she cared a lot about her home and wanted to share it with her friends. "i'm thinking maybe a week or so. my family's home has a guest house we can stay at, so no worries about a hotel or anything. and as far as activities go, i'd have to compile a list. there's a lot i want to show you!" she said enthusiastically, the gears turning in her head as she mentally began to map out the trip. "it would be a while before we could go, though." she voiced her thought outloud, taking into account their busy schedules and vidcon coming up. she'd have to get the ball rolling now though. the earlier the better when planning trips is what she's always said.

she was quite enjoying her position outside the pool. seeing emma get in a rubbing her arms made her keen on staying out for a little bit longer. also seeing how deep this pool really was, even in the shallow end, hindered her entrance. emma was bobbing on the surface, sam going to get her pool noodle as the though flicked across her head. madison would be just the same, on her tipy toes just to keep her chin above water. she tilted her head and opened her mouth as colby moved back, away from her. as the words were forming in the back of her throat to ask what he was doing a sinking suspicion filled her stomach. no words came out, instead a sharp gasp emitted from the raven haired girl as two wet, cold, hands gripped her and lifted her from under her arms and lifted her. "time to go in!" elton's devilishly happy voice rang in her ears as he tossed her body effortlessly into the cool pool. a short "eep!" left her mouth right before she went in, her feet hitting the side of the pool which was higher than the middle, preventing her from fully submerging. half her hair was wet now though. "elton you bastard!" she couldnt help but laugh as she grabbed on to the side of the pool. her eyes moved quickly from elton to colby, narrowing. in a swift movement she was on the boys back, arms around his neck and legs tightly around his torso. "since you didn't warn me, you get to carry me around so I don't drown." she smirked, finding a way to make this situation a big win for her. any excuse to get close to colby, she took. a thing to note about madison was she was an affectionate human. that much was evident from the first few minutes of meeting her. however if you knew her more personally, like emma, for example, you'd notice she get's extra affectionate and handsy when she's crushing. any excuse to be close to her crush, she takes. it's actually a subconscious thing the majority of the time. mads barely ever realizes she's doing it. "hey em, i recommend this type of flotation device. it carries you around and everything." she teased, ruffling colby's hair with her hand, nearly losing her grip and falling off. she was quick to latch back on and tighten her leg grip (but not too tight, just a subtle squeeze). a giggle left her lips as this all went down, she was having a lot of fun in this moment.

sam slung his head back and forth, much similar to a dog trying to shake water off itself. he looked up and paused briefly. emma looked so cute. well she always did in sam's opinion, but especially right now. as she entered the water, rubbing her arms like a child and barely able to keep her head above the water. it was moments like this sam was reminded how short she really was. see sam wasn't the tallest of dudes. he was only 5'8, which is considered short for a dude. colby was luck and stood just at 6'0. it may not seem like a big difference, but those two inches were very important. "you'll get used to it quick, i promise." sam chuckled, meeting her halfway from where he was. he glanced around the pool, seeing a pool noodle floating a few feet away. he walked over and reached out, snatching the pink noodle. he turned and made his way back to emma, dodging mike who just hopped in from the side. he handed her the noodle. "here you go, can't have you drowning on my watch!" he laughed, eyes wandering around for a moment. most people had migrated outside, all deciding to get in the pool. a few girls were chit-chatting as the tanned off to the side. the guys were taking on elton's dive board, doing fancy tricks. they weren't aiming to splash, so for the most part emma and sam were in a good splash-free zone.

his gaze found elton approaching madison from behind. colby moved as if he was going to stop it, or warn madison, but an elaborate motion to be quiet caused him to stop. a laugh emitted from sam, the sight amusing to him. elton was always one to be extra. he pushed colby in, splashed sam, and now was about to get madison. no one was safe. that was normal when elton was around, though. it came with the territory. sam watched in amusement as he lifted madison up and yeeted her into the pool. she caught herself on the side so she didn't fully submerge, which was slightly disappointing. sam laughed anyways and turned away from them and back to emma. "have you warmed up any?" he asked, feeling the sun hitting his back. they still had about three-four hours before the girls would probably ditch them to begin getting ready for the large party they were throwing later tonight. he never understood why girls took so long to get ready. whenever he asked the answer was always, "you're a guy so you just don't understand". sam ran a hand through his wet blonde hair, blue eyes trained on emma. he just couldn't help but think she was just so damn cute. he was gonna hate not seeing her when she went to seoul but he was gonna make sure she ft-ed him everyone now and then. the weather was perfect out in LA right now, especially at this time. it hot but not where you were smouldering. it was just enough to make the pool feel cool and refreshing, in his opinion. he was relishing in the happiness of this day. all his best friends were here hanging out.

the voice of madison, though not directed at him exactly, caused him to turn his head. he found her on colby's back, a grin on her face as she spoke to him. he didn't 100% pay attention to her words, instead taking this time to wink at colby. the boys had talked about maybe making some sort of move with the girls tonight but neither were all in, so they would just see how it went. to him, it was so obvious madison and colby cared for each other in a lot more ways and a lot deeper than friends typically would. they were meant to be. sam had never seen colby this happy, not since his ex from high school. he hasn't officially dated a girl since, so sam knew how big of a deal this was. as for him, he's dated around more but nothing ever stuck. he had high hopes for emma and him though. they just seemed to click, at least in his eyes. that thought made his mind wander. for him thinking it was so obvious for madison and colby to be together, did that mean other people thought the same for he and emma? his head turned to look at her as he thought this, a soft smile on his face being replaced by a slightly quizzical look as he mulled the thought over.

emerson carlisle

(( that's the one i was thinking! i'm really picturing emma as the smol bean (in the first vid, she's the one with the puma top, second vid she's the one in jeans with the short hair, and in the last vid she's she one in pink pants) and she's 5'2" while emma's 5'1" so that's practically what she's gonna look like out there, lil bean :') (i'm also probably going to keep the name the same bc it's practically in majority of their songs and i'm not creative enough to come up with something else that'll work so ((: )

and i definitely like the first vid a lot!! but i also really like the bgt vid, it was really fun to watch and i could see how that could play into the rumors plot we have planned. madison would definitely kill ALL of those choreographies, she's such a queen,,, also, how long would these stages be? i was thinking somewhere along the lines of 30 minutes which could give enough rest time, video time if you want, and talking and such. plus 30 minutes really isn't a lot of time when you're planning a set,, ))

taking the pool noodle, emma smiled, putting it across her chest and under her arms to keep her head above the water. if she had a few more noodles, she'd be able to make a chair to sit on, but she won't get noodle greedy. there was a lot going on now. people were jumping off the platforms, others were sitting and chatting, playing in the grass, literally doing anything they wanted. it wasn't as crowded as their house normally is for parties, but with the the amount of activity going on, it seemed like there was a ton of people around.

once the events of madison being thrown into the pool died down, emma found herself in an isolated spot in the pool with sam, which was odd considering the size of the pool and the amount of people around. you wouldn't expect them to have their own little section of the pool, but everyone seemed to be spreading out. mainly because of the people jumping from the platform. "i'm feeling pretty good, the water actually feels nice!" she commented, doggy paddling lightly to stay afloat, even with the noodle. it was times like this where emma felt the happiest. in the presence of her best friends. they don't need to be talking all the time, but just being around them makes emma feel better. she doesn't know what she'll do when she goes to seoul, but she knows she'll definitely get homesick one time or another. especially with the time change, that'll be rough. she'll be waking up when they'll be sleeping, it'll be hard to find a time where emma will be free and they won't be busy. but emma knows they'll be able to work it out one way or another.

enjoying sam's presence, she didn't really notice she had been looking at him while she was thinking. she wasn't creepily staring, but she was just kind of observing. she realized this when she noticed him start to turn his head in her direction, in which she quickly looked over at her friends to see how they were doing. gosh, colby and madison were cute and she knew they knew. she sees tweets about them all the time, people absolutely love their relationship, or what they can see. people seem to be catching on and talking all kinds of rumors about them, hopefully that doesn't influence them too much or start to force things between them, even though emma is fully aware that they both like each other. they try to be sly and hidden, but they're really not. that's what makes them even cuter. but, emma couldn't help but think of her and sam in the same way. were they being really obvious about their feelings towards each other and everyone else was starting to notice but them? emma has no clue of sam even likes her like that and he has no reason to, or at least emma believes so. emma really, really likes him but of course he'd hang out with her when their best friends start hanging out more, they're both becoming third wheels. in a perfect world, emma would realize sam likes her as well and the four of them live happy lives together, but maybe this world isn't so perfect, but maybe it could be?

getting her attention caught by madison, she listened in, hearing how madison was using colby as her floatie. "do you think this noodle is enough? my legs are getting tired from trying to keep me up!" she mentioned, half using this as a way to get sam to let her on his back and half just telling the truth. even with the noodle, she hasn't stopped moving her legs, sometimes slowing them down but never stopping. swimming was such a workout, no wonder emma didn't do it much.

colby brock

colby absolutely loved seeing madison talk about things she's passionate about. her eyes light up and her smile gets so wide, it's contagious to colby and he's easily catching a case. but seeing her talk about her home, that was a whole different level. she even had plans and everything and nothing has been confirmed yet. colby has to make this trip happen. "we should definitely go sometime. it's a plan." colby said, subtly promising her that they'll get this trip to be a reality sometime. maybe colby could do this as a birthday surprise for her? with elton's help and trip planning expertise, he could definitely cook something up. heck, maybe he can even get emma to get the information on what madison is planning so he could do the planning himself. wow, even colby's getting excited about this now.

after elton's funny little event with madison, colby fully realized how short madison is in comparison to the water. colby definitely thought she'd be fine, but if emma needed assistance, so did she. apparently, madison's assistance was colby himself. he felt himself being pulled, only to stop when he felt madison clinging to him. what is she trying to do to him? he's already basically head over heels for her, she can't be doing any more to make him fall for her even harder. but as colby is, he'll have to let her be. smiling, he fully adjusted madison to where he was most comfortable and he put his hands on the back of her legs, just above her knees to make sure she doesn't pull him back or anything. they're in the water so she won't fall, but colby could easily lose his balance with the lack of gravity.

looking around, colby noticed emma and sam talking a little bit away. was sam going to make a move on her tonight? he said he would try, but colby really hopes he doesn't this party isn't here for the sole reason of them trying to get with the girls, but sam knows how important this night could be for them and their potential relationship. emma's going away soon and if they don't get things settled between them, colby knows sam will regret it. there's absolutely no rush at all, but the opportunities are slowly leaving and colby is fully aware of how big sam's affection for emma is and it's just a sam thing for him to not leave any matters without answers. he's a very determined guy and he gets his stuff done, all this time away from each other would do is keep them wondering.

being called a floatie, colby pretended to look shocked, but immediately changed back to his smile. "i'm being used for my height?" colby chimed in, pretending to sound offended. he really was fine with carrying around madison, she weighed nearly nothing to him. he could carry her around all day if he really wanted to. "it's not our fault we're tall enough to stand in the pool without assistance." he playfully teased.
