  • VALENTINE HARBINGER

( THEY SAY ALL SHOULD FEAR GOD )

Things had changed. Only a blind man would have been unable to see such, but even the scent of the place had shifted into one of unfamiliarity. The rolling dunes of sand brought back memories of when he was younger, when he, Serpentine, Michael, Gabriel, and his other long lost littermates had once strut around this territory like they owned the place. Technically they had, being the children of Aima and Gilbert. They were the princes and princesses of the Harbringer name. Creatures all throughout the clans knew their names. But now new families ruled, and his family was now legends told to young ones.

The tall serval walked silently across the sun warmed sands, his chocolate gaze alert as he neared a border he once knew like the back of his paw. How many joiners had he accepted here? Valentine allowed himself to pause and reminisce in the memories. Being here once again made him miss his brother deeply. Val and Serp had a bond that they did not share with their siblings, it was strong, and it led them both to great things. But Serpentine had always been smarter and stronger than he, which explains his rapid ascent to leadership. Valentine once had his own taste of it, but it was taken from him as quickly as it had came. Blinking his remaining eye, the half-faced wildcat seated himself to wait. Anxiety clawed at his belly. Returning to his birth clan after so long, he knew there would be no familiar faces to greet him. He knew that his friends and family were dead, or lost. It was a lonely world, no matter how many faces surrounded you. None were familiar. None would fill the hole that gaped within his heart.

BUT WHO IS GOD TO THE NON-BELIEVER

  • — Even if she had been in her serval form, the one she had inhabited when legends like Risencorpse and Sepentine walked the sands, Violeta wasn't banking on Valentine recognising her. A lot of time had passed since he'd been in the Ruins, and in comparison to the Harbringers' practically royal lineage Vi and her small clan been about the biggest nobody possible when she had first joined. He'd probably recognise Jace if he showed up to greet the stranger, everybody knew him. Ah, but she digressed, and how times had changed.

For once, the ash-furred cheetah didn't feel the need to conceal herself as she approached the border, vibrant purple eyes focusing on Valentine quickly due to her overactive senses. She yawned, one of genuine tiredness, and padded over to where the scarred tom sat.

"Hola- name and business with the Sanguine Ruins, por favor." Her voice wasn't as hostile as many others' would have been, but there was a thin edge to it which implied that she meant business.

//this is a lil choppy sorry!

  • ♥ ― Ah, perfect. The panther bounced on over when he spotted Vi and the joiner. He came to a halt near her, smiling at Violeta when he first approached. He turned his head to greet the serval at the border. Servals, he always thought, reminded him of his first body.

Either way, he greeted Valentine with a smile, unable to yet recognize her. He wouldn't reinstate Vi's question, instead, the panther stayed silent but kept a cheery smile on his face. He didn't want to seem threatening to joiners, it was rather rude.

  • The King paused a few paces behind his second and third tiers, green eyes scanning over the form of the stranger as he waited for a response in a boring track post.

  • VALENTINE HARBINGER

( THEY SAY ALL SHOULD FEAR GOD )

The first to approach him brought forth a look of shock upon his features. A cheetahress hued the color of cool ashes... Ashbringer? His mind instantly escaped to the Darling princess, and how he’d watched her grow up into a fine woman. She’d left The Ruins not long after she gained the -bringer suffix, if he recalled correctly. Those memories were fogged and blurred within his mind, making them difficult to see correctly. Snapping out of his nostalgia, the serval dropped his head and rubbed a forepaw against his sleek cranium, adjusting the worn, macabre leather eyepatch that covered his gaping socket so that it was back in place. Once content, the wildcat returned his coffee gaze towards the tall feline, ears perking as she spoke with an oh too familiar accent. Though he hadn’t known him all too well, his mind raced for Diego, the spanish serval that was amusing as well as an occasional pain in the ass. Flicking his tattered ear, he rose from his seated position and dipped his head in a respectful greeting. ”My name is Valentine Harbringer.” He stated, voice raspy and deep. His jaws sparted to speak once more, but his attention was drawn away by the arrival of two others. One a macabre panther, and the other a striped beast. Neither struck any memories with him, but there was something about the smaller that piqued his interest. ”I’m here to join, once again. I was born here, its about time I came home.”

BUT WHO IS GOD TO THE NON-BELIEVER

  • ♥ ― Jace let out a little shriek, much like a little girl that just opened a gift box and got a puppy for Christmas. He bounced on his paws with utter delight and his tail waved. "Valentine? You're still up and about?" He nearly went up to her, in her personal space, but then he remembered that she probably didn't recognize him. A Harbringer reminded him of Serpentine, how he adored him. Serpentine was the only man that Jace admired to his heart, yet was so intimidated by that Serp would have Jace shaking.

"Oh, sorry. I'm Jace Ecuador, if you remember that name." He meowed with a grin on his face. He would let Vi introduce herself, he didn't wanna intrude on her space.
