  • There was a reason Eddie never choose to settle down in one of these clans. The disheveled looking feline never wanted to find himself among a ranking like that, mostly due to the fact he didn't fully understand some of their concepts. Some prayed to an unseen entity while others simply wanted to go around and start some trouble. To him they all had problems that he didn't need to dip his paws into. This was going to be a quick and simple journey, one to see what these clans he had yet to visit offered. It would be quite unlikely that they would stay, finding it safer to have minimal connections for the time being. They were doing well enough, other then the few times that food became a rarity.

The small feline would stop shortly from what he guessed as a border. Better not take the chance of setting off a few people The thought was one that would replace words to his partner, one who seemed to be lacking back a short distance. If they had a bad encounter here then Eddie would prove that these clans weren't the best thing. Why risk loosing the freedom and such that they shared out here? The tabby pulled a hood over his ears, hiding most of his features. Standing out here in this dark forest was beginning to make him anxious. His stomach felt like it was twisting this way and that, shaking his head to try and stop his mind from wandering.

//Please wait for Venom to respond before posting

    thanks

    Venom.

Also I wrote this at like 12 am so apologies if it seems a little off.

  • CHAMPAGNE, COCAINE, GASOLINE; AND MOST THINGS IN BETWEEN.

Venom wasn't exactly partial to this whole group thing. They preferred to be alone rather than in a group of people, but lately, that had been getting harder and harder for them and Eddie to do. Everyone was now taking up land for their group or clan and left very little for one who wished to wander to live in without 'trespassing'. It was an annoying fact of life that had Venom's tail flicking behind them in mild annoyance.

Opalescent eyes scanned the area as their owner finally caught up with Eddie. Venom sat down beside Eddie, leaning over and pressing their nose against the male's hooded neck. "Easy love, I can practically see the anxiety coming off you." Venom wasn't one for speaking, so he used his bond to speak with Eddie and telepathy with others...if he ever actually chose to speak with them.

  • The wounded leader approached the two creatures upon her border, authoritative but wearied yellow eyes moving from the serval to the domestic cat and back again. "Greetings." Lastbastion said simply, her confidence quiet but evident and her curiosity apparent in the tone of her voice. "Can I help you two? You're on the edge of Shadow Veil's territory." the Shadowkeeper was not crazy about people simply lingering at the fringes of her land, but perhaps they wanted to join. She liked new joiners. They did not smell of other Clans, so she doubted they were ambassadors; but they could have been loners looking for someone, or - as she hoped - individuals wishing to become Veilers.

  • Why would he calm down when they were in somewhere unfamiliar?! The male was already grouchy enough, as sleeping hadn't been the kindest to him the last few nights. His attention was then drawn to a figure that approached them. Taking a moment before allowing himself to provide answers for the both of them. "We're travelers that are simply looking for a home." The sentence was bland, not giving any info about if this was going to be the one they choose.

"There are quite a few clans, and we wanted to see what felt the best"

Maybe this was a small lie, seeing as he still liked being away from everyone. But if the territories kept being taken over then they would need to merge with one. Eddie would shift uncomfortably after he finished speaking. Unaware on how this stranger would act, hopefully it didn't get violent.

  • Ah, yes. Travelers looking for a home. Shoppers, in other words. the Shadowkeeper's lemon-yellow eyes twinkled knowingly as she nodded a few times, twitching an ear as she looked again from Venom to Eddie and back again. "That's fine, then; you're welcome to stay with us, provided you don't make trouble. What are your names, then? I'm Lastbastion Aeternum, co-leader here." her voice had lost some of its formality and acquired a friendly cast: she wanted to make a good impression, after all. Her curiosity, however, had gone nowhere, and was still very evident in her expression. Are they lovers? Siblings? Friends? Or are they only together due to circumstances, intending to separate once they find somewhere safe to reside? "Need anything? Food, water, medicine?"

The ebony individual wrapped their tail around their other in an attempt to help comfort him. Venom knew that Eddie had anxiety problems and having to talk to someone new was not high on his list or priorities. "Venom, he's Eddie." Venom spoke using their telepathy, their voice a booming echo that, while they never intended it to be intimidating, it tended to swing in that way. Opal hues were cast to the leader of this place before his voice echoed specifically in Lastbastion's mind and her's alone; "He has anxiety, perhaps he could be seen by a healer, if you have one?" The inky serval wasn't exactly sure if their healer could do anything for their partner but they'd be damned if they didn't try.

  • Quite a strange name The male would think to himself, having learned how to not speak his mind. The offer of staying here did catch the tabby's attention, wondering if they should try or keep moving. The unclaimed land didn't hold much for places to stay other then a few empty dens, which in turn meant they were likely to be caught by another traveler. It had been quite unpleasant at the few times, mostly when things turned to violence. He was capable of fighting but had no useful powers, meaning V had taken care of them most of the time. The mention of food did receive a few nods towards Lastbastion, he wasn't famished but wouldn't mind some free food. Maybe they'd become more settled in, though trusting them would take a much longer time.

He needed to make sure they weren't bad people, if they were Eddie wouldn't stick around long enough to be a remembered face. Though before the two decided to follow the co-leader Eddie would turn toward Ven. Having been unable to tell if his love agreed. There wasn't a way in hell he would allow them to be separated. Especially as it would cause himself to sink in a worse state. Nobody would want to see the male as he suffered, trying to piece back his broken soul.
