-- It had been a long time since Gabriel had been late to a meeting. In his memory, he couldn't actually remember a time that he had been this late. Yet he found it difficult to convince himself to do even the simpler things these days. One of his sons had died and one of his daughters had gone missing, and he had been useless to both of them. He was supposed to be their father, and he had somehow let this happen. He should have been there for them, both of them. Still, hearing Persephone's name mentioned brought a hint of a smile to his face, and he walked over to his daughter, gently touching his muzzle against her shoulder as an acknowledgement of her accomplishment.
