HISTORY maeve o'brien was born in the kingdom through the union of cecilia naryll, of the royal bloodline, and kieran o'brien, a nobleman and high ranking knight, as the second child (first being her brother kalmin) and the only daughter of the couple. the majority of her childhood was fairly insignificant. she had grown up being taught the ways of being a proper woman of the court as anyone with her family’s status would. due to the presence of her brother, she was unlikely to ever inherit the majority of her parents wealth and was to be married off instead. however, upon the sudden death of her brother when she was thirteen, maeve was named heir of their fortunes instead. at the age of only seventeen, she lost both her parents to illness and, therefore, inherited their wealth and duties.

PERSONALITY Aethon is first and foremost, a man of passion. The activities and goals he is after is what he buries himself in thoroughly, both through thought and action. This leaves little for anything outside of such, and his hobbies, and interactions with people are very limited unless they aid him in his effort to get where he wants. The root he holds with such ideas can make him a dangerous man to go against, because he tries to leave no hole un-mended, and no idea left not thought. Outside of this, Aethon can be a person of patience and calmness, near to the point of seeming cold and closed off. His emotions he holds close to himself, and anything outside of telling people how to accomplish what they are all after, is very far and few between. Those who hear such words from him, either those of worry, or anger, or any emotion stronger then his normal steadiness only comes to the ones who he respects and trusts outside of the other rebels vision. Those that are able to earn his close to staunch thoughts of respect through that of work ethic, and prowess are often seen as those in higher ranking to the rebellion in form of commanders or his general. Therefore, he near puts a dangerous amount of loyalty and conviction to them and enough power to help him lead the whole operation through thoughts and actions.

To the rest of the rebellion, despite his appearance, Aethon can come off of that of a strict leader, and near someone to be fearful of at times. He takes control with a firm hand that is built off of a base of stories, revenge and an amount of empathy from the tales of what others have told him. He relates to those outside of his higher ups only when he has to to build his cause, and is not afraid to pull rank if he has too. While he is patient, those who prove themselves to be in his range of distaste for some reason or other, especially in harmful ways against the group, he will discipline thoroughly throughout different ways of punishment. Overall, however he is understanding of those who follow him, and while he works to be able to relate to those who he leads, and can prove to be a good, solid pillar and listening ear to talk too with confidential things, both dealing with emotion or histories. He takes grievances from others very seriously, and works to fix them the best he can.

A slightly pained soul, Aethon often has what appears to be an older person reflected off of him with to much experience of what poverty and war can bring to a society and person. He uses this to empathize with people to help join their cause, but besides this, tries not to think hard of what ails him. This method of handling his feelings can cause to be dangerous, and to get them out of his head he works endlessly sometimes near to the point of exhaustion. The times this happens can actually be very dangerous. His temper becomes shorter and he resorts to becoming irritable and frustrated if even a small kink happens in his plans. His overreactions or lack of sleep when these rare patches go over often make him have to force himself to break off from work and near shut down and close himself off. During these parts he commonly hands most of the work over to his higher rankings, especially Keyreth.

Beyond this he prides himself in being that of one of the last few who follows the religion of his original people. He takes his time to ceremonies and prayer very seriously, and his practices often involve multiple things from him. His left hand is very important because it is only used for prayer, and it has not been seen yet before for him not to be wearing a sleeve and glove over this limb and hand. He doesn't tend to take kindly to those being rude to him because of what he believes in, or touching any part of his left hand or arm. He expects some amount of respect from people to leave him be with what he believes in, and those who have also tend to be his higher ups, who have all had separate ceremonies and blessing put over them by Aethon in private.

ABILITIES Despite seeming closed off, Aethon is an extremely passionate man, and will do whatever he has to do to to reach his goals. He especially cares about the people who reach or feels the same about what he is after. This can make him rise to the occasion of leading, and can do this well considering how he was raised.

MAGIC Aethon is very focused on lighter, or more holy magic. This includes blessings, and buffing to his fellow teammates by increasing their stamina, endurance, or speed. He can give off light when needed, and can do very basic healing that's more used for emergencies. His energy, however strangely enough is mostly, or at least is mostly controlled through his left hand once his glove is off. However, due to being trained in Aberuthven as a high priest (Not something meant for fighting in the front lines), which is a very team driven community, most of his spells land on helping others fight and making them tougher rather then himself. He works best in a group setting when at battle because of this. He does have a few basic, or more advanced seemingly miscellaneous spells he has picked up that can either help in battle or everyday. However, he must be delicate with his energy and can only cast a few things at a time depending on how advanced they are, and can only do a certain amount of varying blessings and spells each day before he has to rest. If his energy is expended it can become very dangerous very quickly. Most of his magic is perceived as white and more smooth when in a more physical or easy to see form.

APPEARANCE To begin with, Aethon does not seem like that of a leader of a rebellion. Or anything much for that matter. Standing at six foot, he can be seen as rather tall, but beyond this, that is the most masculine thing about him. He has long, naturally white hair sporting his ljósálfar blood from his mother, with more delicate visage to match along with longer limbs and slightly pointed features and previously pointed ears. His skin is pale and doesn't tan or burn easily, and besides the occasional scar, is rather unblemished. His eyes contrast this heavily, with long eyelashes and a sleek narrowness that have the very human eye color of a deep brown. Debatably, most interesting part of his appearance, however is the strange, near pure white birth mark enveloped on his mostly covered left hand that covers all the skin up to his elbow.

HISTORY Born outside of the kingdom in a town on the outside of Aedile's territory, Aethon was raised in a society of ljósálfars and humans in a highly religious community called Aberuthven. He was born under special circumstances near the dead of night, and was deemed a future high priest by the signature birth mark that enveloped his left hand and was raised in the quiet hallways and white marbled halls of one of the churches. His ljósálfar Cleric, Turri taught him many of the things he knew, mostly in the ways of prayer and magic. He was molded by the thought of future leadership and the ability to help his people with it, along with days of religious practice and prayer.

Aging steadily and preparing to take the job of being the high priest, Aethon's vivid future was cut short by the sudden violent war that erupted by the acts of the neighboring kingdom of Hull. Locked in the church with the current High Priest as soon as the walls where breached, the twenty year old half human struggled against the doors to help fight, but instead of it opening to the faces of the Clerics and Priest, he was met by an invading troop of soldiers. Though making an effort to fight back, and managing to bring one down, both him and the other of Aberuthven where quickly outnumbered and overpowered. However, looking at the body of one of the knights, Aethon observed the seal of Aedile and the League of the Sun on his uniform. Shocked, instead of being killed, he was instead brought to that very place, and was imprisoned in the belly of Aedile.

Throughout his stay of two years in the prison, Aethon befriended his guard, Durimell who told him the entire story of the war and how it took place with Aedile. While Aethon had understood that Hull was pushing the boundaries of Aberuthven, he had gone on his three month religious leave shortly after in the basement of the church which each High Priest was required to do before taking on their position. He was quick to learn that the other High Priest had asked Aedile to help them with the oncoming war, but was rejected because of his ljósálfar blood. It was later revealed that Aedile had instead flipped to go on the side of Hull. Horrified by this fact, and starting the process of becoming bitter, Aethon escaped by the help of Durimell.

From there, he witnessed the acts of poverty and racism in the kingdom. The clipped wings of fairies, the scarred backs of Centaurs, the splinted legs of fauns and the cut fins of mermaids. Hiding his ljósálfar heritage as best as possible, he got a job as a servant in the castle. The treatment and abuse of the mythical staff and the jeers given by human counterparts made him feel ill. He kept most of his species a secret for a while, but once finding out he was an elf, or at least part way, a group of men working at the castle held him down cut off the tips of his ears. He didn't dare report it, and instead began to set up a plan. To help those in the kingdom, and to return the favor to the king and the royal family in a way less kind. He left Durimell with sadness, even though he begged to have his friend come, though he promised to try his best to keep in touch. He left his job and disappeared as quickly and quietly as possible, using the next few years to begin to build on plans and gather supporters.

Through the time working on the growing rebellion, Aethon began to reach outside for help beyond just the citizens willing to join the cause. Throughout his search, he found Keyreth, and figuring his information selling to the royals, he made an effort to show the man the harm they had done instead and made an offer to hire him. With the new stream of information, the pace quickened in what they where able to do. Throughout this time, however, Aethon began to realize that the other man was somewhat of an interest to him. From that root alone, flings between the two began to happen, and nothing beyond that for a decent amount of time. Yet as it continued Aethon understood that it was dangerous ground he was treading as the flings began to blossom into a relationship. He now had a weakness in form of another person, someone people could use against him, or in the case of the rebellion, what they where doing could be perceived as a distraction. They both kept everything under wraps as best as possible because of this. Currently, their relationship is very secretive and currently not known to even the people of the rebellion.

PERSONALITY WIP Wren Herington, on the outside appears to be poised and elegant, his social skills are adept in front of near anyone he wants them to be. Pristine, clean, and clearly well versed in how he talks, Wren finds himself easy to convince some, and perceive others. Even his lies seem to perfect and overly practiced, though by looking past charming grin to hard, it can be easy to see that Wren's social skills aren't really reflecting who he his. It's a fatal flaw in his acting skills, and pointing this out can be a good way to trip him up.

Behind his wall of talking and light chatter appropriate for any special occasion or party, Wren is a much more solemn man. His dryness has no bounds in speech and action, and while his facade is very extroverted his true personality finds itself fitting better into an introverted reality. Longer social interactions have a tendency to make him tired, and while his web of known people are large, Wren realizes and admits without shame he cannot even remember most of their names. He finds more value in knowledge and how human's work with their psyche rather then actually knowing any of them too close. He plays with this often, careful on how he pushes people's buttons, but doing it none the less. PERSONALITY As a child, Evrett was hot-headed and energetic. Through the years of discipline within the castle, these traits have been repressed. He now acts in a more reserved manner. He knows when to hold his tongue in the presence of those in power, but needs a way to redirect his emotions. Evrett tends to take his emotions out on those who are of his own status or lesser, making him unpopular among others. He acts selfishly, believing he is the only one who is looking after himself. HISTORY Evrett's parents were known opposers of the monarchy. After the radical act of an attempted assassination on members of the elite upper class, they were turned over to the royals to face punishment. Both were to be killed. To insure their son wouldn't be left on the streets, they had given Evrett to the royal family for a life of servitude. Due to this occurring while he was so young, Evrett has little recollection of his parents or what had become of them. Racism was ever present in the royal castle and he was constantly subject to it as a child. Because of his own outbursts, his wings were eventually clipped and he was rendered unable to fly.

PERSONALITY Annie is an energetic, very aloof young woman with out a care in the world who thinks of the world as one big playground and the people who inhabit it as very interesting and adorable looking creatures, as one might see a bunny rabbit or a little fox. She is the type of girl who loves to frolic and play and be very energetic and without a hint to a darkside. She very much wants people to get along with one another and sometimes takes a sort of caregiver's role when dealing with people. She sees almost everyone she meets as young children to her, even when they're older, and isn't shy of showing it. It takes a lot to earn her respect, but some things are worth the price.

She however has a slightly sadistic side that kicks in especially bad when she's hungry, when she'll toy around with people (Which is pretty normal for her) or play sadistic little 'games' where no one ever gets truly hurt but they're afraid they might. She loves to feel people's fear and to have them be afraid when she's in this mood, her predator instincts taking over. The baring of teeth, the ripping of flesh, it's all as synonymous with Annie as is her caring, almost aloof baby-sitter type personality.

APPEARANCE Ansel is a fairly average sized girl for her age, with a slight tinge of not caring to her entire attitude, she cares very much for, while not at all, her appearance, her hair constantly in a mess of sorts or matted down wet. Her face is fairly plain with striking eyes and soft looks. She sometimes seems larger than she really is, being rather scary when she needs to be with razor sharp teeth and gills in her sides that look like large bleeding wounds when seen, which they are often visible as she breathes through these side gills. HISTORY When she was just a guppy she came out from the sea and started living among people, she was the type of person who saw the good in every situation, but as she grew up she started to notice slight cracks in the facade of the greatness of the city, she, by the age of 12 started to realize that people were treated differently based on quite arbitrary measures as their race or their social status and such things, and there was only a rich and a poor, and people had quite a hard time trying to climb the ladder. She realized that something was wrong about that and her own aptitude for magic created some kind of fire inside her. As soon as she was free from parental oversight, she became something else, finding herself going a bit mad and finding herself going on a series of murders and quite gruesome ones at that, ending up (reportedly) eating their hearts in feral hunger and impaling the rest of them on spikes of ice that would melt by the morning. She was eventually found by the rebellion and taken in as an asset, who now uses her dual personality of caring and killer for something she believes is right, deeply.
