  • Writing Style-

I normally write a paragraph or more, consisting of 8+ sentences, also could be more. It depends on how my muse is and how my partner replies to my posts. Just NO one or even three sentence posts! I need content to reply to and keep the story moving. I like to have your input on plots, so feel free to suggest what you think makes sense or makes our RP more fun.

As for character description, I will leave that to you. You can do a form, face-claim, or describe as we RP.

  • Hey there! I'd totally love to rp this with you!

  • (Thanks for joining! :))

Chase cracked his neck as he climbed out of his car, stretching more once he closed the door to it. Looking at the house he and his husband bought about two years before, he smiled softly. Such good memories. He held them close to his heart. Flushing a bit at how sappy he was beginning to get, he turned and opened the door to the bag seat where a laptop case and bag of paperwork was. Ugh. He sadly had to bring work home with him, being the manager of the cafe, since he got a promotion a week before, brought in a ridiculous amount of paperwork. 'Heck, at this point I would totally go back to being a simple waiter.' He thought dryly. Not to mention his laptop had his painting assignments to take care of and one client kept changing their mind!

Grabbing both bags, he placed them on his shoulder and closed the door a bit more forcefully then he meant to. Ah well. Turning, he headed across the grass, up the few steps and into the house. As he entered he wondered if his husband would be home yet. It was Finals for school and so he sometimes stayed very late at the school trying to sort books and stuff. Shrugging to himself he headed down the hall to his study. "I"m home, Noah!" he called, whether or not his husband was home.

His husband. Setting his bags down on the oak desk, he sighed and rubbed his neck. He loved him dearly, but lately... Chase himself was pushing him away and he knew it. Clenching his hands in frustration, he closed his eyes. The man knew he needed to tell his lover but... how?

  • (of course! C:

Noah had been home for about an hour now, having been able to go home a bit earlier than he usually had been recently. Luckily today had been fast and easy. He had been in the kitchen, snacking on a granola bar and scrolling through his emails when he heard the front door open and close, signalling that his husband was finally home.

Smiling, Noah glanced up and caught a brief glance of Chase as the man called out to him and made his way to his study. Noah didn't respond right away, instead shutting his laptop and getting up, following after his husband.

He peaked his head into the study, giving a soft knock on the doorframe in order to alert the man of his presence. "Hey." He said softly as he entered, noticing Chase's frustration. He wondered what that was about. Chase had been rather.... Distant lately and Noah had no clue about what could be causing it. He had tried asking but Chase would change the subject. Walking over, Noah gently placed a hand on his husband's back and moved to place a light kiss to his temple. "How was the cafe?" He then asked, his voice soft and filled with a sliver of concern.

  • For a split second Chase tensed up at the sudden voice and touch, then he smiled softly and he faced his husband with sparkling eyes. "Ah, I was hoping you were home. It was busy. I was stuck in back however, doing paperwork. Joy," sarcasm dripped from his voice, but then he shrugged. "How was the the library? How many students are dead?" he joked, a smirk on his lips now.

Raising a hand to touch his lover's cheek, he sighed quite happily. The troubles of today were still nagging at him but they always lessened when Noah was around. He honestly had no idea what he'd do without him. That thought caused his smirk to wavered and he frowned, pulling away from Noah clearing his throat. "Ah anyway, I should get back to work. The cafe accountant needs this paperwork by tomorrow morning," he muttered, with mild disdain. 'You're pushing him away again.' A voice pointed out and he winced.

  • Noah had given a small laugh as Chase described his work day. "Sounds like fun." He told him before giving an amused shake of his head at the question that followed. "I would say none but they looked like a bunch of zombies this morning." He joked right back, smiling when he saw that smirk on his husband's lips. Seeing Chase in a good mood was something that Noah would never get enough of and he really strived to always make sure that his husband was happy or at least content. The man meant the world to him.

Noah leaned into Chase's touch when he brought his hand up, turning his head slightly to place a gentle kiss to Chase's palm, quite happy with the sign of affection that Chase was showing him. It has become a lot rarer to experience in the last few days. And as if on cue, Chase's previously happy expression faded, that smirk he had turning into a frown, which in turn only made Noah frown. Had he done something wrong? Why was Chase pulling away? There were a lot of question concerning Chase's behavior that was running through Noah's head and he didn't know how to express it. His eyes shone with concern and uncertainty as Chase spoke again, hesitating a moment before he reached out to gently grab the man's hand. "Chase, you just got home..." He began to softly argue, "I know that you're dedicated to your work but you deserve to have breaks every now and then."

  • Chase let go a deep sigh and he shook his head, as much as the thought of spending all evening with his husband sounded good, no great. He couldn't, in all honesty he had gotten very little work done at the cafe. The man had spent much of it in the back sleeping. Even though he got a good 10 hours of sleep last night, it was ridiculous how tired he became when doing practically nothing lately. 'I'm sorry, Noah.' Chase thought, avoiding his lovers gaze.

Pulling his hand from Noah's he shook his head. "I'm sorry, I really need to get working," he murmured, shoulders tense. Stepping away from his husband he took a seat at the large oak desk and took the paperwork pile and began to look it over. 'Oh wow. So many friggin numbers!' Chase thought mournfully. This was going to take a lot of time, if he was to complete for tomorrow. Grunting to himself, he zoned out on everything around him and hen began to write and crunch numbers.

  • Noah frowned as he watched Chase pull away and sit himself at his desk, noticing how tense the man was. He pursed his lips and sighed softly, crossing his arms against his chest as he stood there in the middle of the study. He knew how wrapped up Chase could get in his work, especially now that he got promoted at the cafe. And Noah knew how selfish it sounded and he hated that, but recently he's been wishing that Chase would pay a little more attention to him than his work. At first Noah had been sure that was the reason why the man had been so distant but to Noah, it seemed to be more than that. He was positive that Chase wasn't cheating on him, he wasn't that kind of person. But he more or so felt as if Chase could be falling out of love with him.

Whatever it was, it was hurting their relationship and putting distance between them. And Noah didn't want that. He wanted them to be happy together, like they used to be.

Sighing, Noah dropped his hands to his sides as if in defeat. ".... Will you at least join me for dinner tonight instead of hiding back here the whole time?" He then asked, trying to make himself sound more firm and serious but it came out rather pitiful. "We could just go out for an hour or two for dinner, or I can make us something and we can watch a movie? It's been a while since we've really had any time to ourselves, Chase." It was clear that he was missing his husband's company and he was trying to spend more time with him.

  • Chase returned to the present, albeit reluctantly. Listening to the slight plea that came from Noah he felt guilt eat at him. Biting his lower lip, he glanced at the clock on the wall, it was 5 now. Making a decision, he nodded to himself. "Alright, gimme an hour and we can go have dinner at that new place that opened near by," Chase offered, hoping that was acceptable. If he had a choice he would leave now but, he really didn't. In an hour he should be able to get quite a bit done as long as he stayed focused. 'And don't fall asleep.' He thought to himself, grimly.

Pressing that worry aside, he picked up his pen and gritted his teeth together. His hands were trembling, not horribly but it was obvious to him tat it was steadily getting worse. Tightening his grip on his pen, he began to fill out a form. One hour. He would be stop then and spend some time with is husband, he was determined.

  • When Chase agreed to going out for dinner, a small smile appeared on Noah's lips. At first, he had been nervous about his husband brushing it off for another time but now he was feeling rather relieved that they'd finally be able to spend some time together. A tiny part of him though, felt as if he shouldn't have to ask Chase for such a thing. He never really had to until recently. But then again, that was when Chase hadn't been keeping his distance and pushing him away. Hopefully Noah would be able to ask Chase about all of this during dinner.

"That sounds perfect, babe. Thank you." Noah spoke up, accepting the offer. He had been wanting to check that new place out for a while anyways. He hesitated a moment before he walked up to Chase and gently ran his fingers through the man's hair and placed another kiss to the top of his head. Noah has always been very affectionate, especially towards Chase, but he's been doubling it up as of late. "I'll leave you alone now. But for the love of god, Chase, please don't stress yourself out." He told the other man before he finally pulled away, giving Chase's tense shoulder a gentle squeeze before pulling away completely. "I'll check in on you in an hour, just in case."

Leaving Chase's study and closing the door slightly to give the man more privacy, Noah sighed and rubbed at his eyes as he walked down the hall and to the living room. Whatever was going on between them was really eating at him, causing him some distress. Sure they've had their fair share of arguments and the such but nothing really like this. Plopping himself down on the couch, Noah glanced up at the clock and wished that time would go by sooner.

  • It was really inevitable, if one knew how often he fell asleep at work. Really. Barely fifteen minutes in and he was out like a light. Papers spread out and pen in his slack grip. Dark brown hair was splayed around him and he snored softly. That in its own right was a new habit of Chase's. He use to never snore but now he fell asleep so quickly and deeply that he did, albeit quietly. Completely oblivious to the world around him, the man fell deep into his dreams.

    Dream sequence-

Chase sat at his desk at work and was jotting down notes, nothing out of the ordinary. But then he began to cough, it became harder to breath and when he pulled his hand back red specks danced around his palm. Inhaling sharply, he stood swiftly in surprise and urgency. Dizziness slammed into him and he stumbled from the desk, chair falling behind him. Jerking his head up, he trued to move towards the door, he needed help. But he tripped on his own two feet and crashed to the suddenly dirt floor. Groaning, Chase gripped the dirt and raised his head just a few feet in front of him was a coffin. Emerald eyes widened and he gasped, shaking his head. No, impossible. The man in the dream blinked and suddenly he was on his back staring up out of the coffin, lid slowing closing him in...

Chase twitched as he slept, a faint frown touching his face and beads of sweat appeared as well.

  • As time started to go by and it grew closer and closer to the hour being up, Noah had already grown a bit antsy. He had spent his time waiting thinking about how he should confront Chase about the distance he was putting between them, wanting to know why and how to fix it. Glancing up at the clock for like the hundredth time in a few minutes, Noah pushed himself off the couch, deciding to just peak into the study to check on his husband to see how much work he had gotten done.

Making his way to the study, Noah gently pushed the door open a bit more. He frowned instantly when he heard light snoring and saw Chase's head resting on the desk. Is he asleep? And snoring? Chase never snores, Noah's thoughts came quickly as he pushed the door open some more and stepped inside. "Chase?" He asked as he moved to stand beside his husband, his hand moving to brush Chase's dark hair away from his face. He was most definitely asleep from the looks, and sound, of it. That was concerning. His husband never really snored, and sure they'd occasionally take naps and such, but Chase never really fell asleep at his desk, or on top of all his work.

Noah bit his lip and let his eyes roam over Chase's face, noticing what seemed like a discontent expression and how the man seemed to be sweating. Was Chase coming up with a fever? Noah's hand moved to gently press against Chase's forehead, checking for any sign of a fever before he spoke again, speaking a bit louder to try and wake the male. "Chase? Chase, come on." He said as he gently shook the man's shoulder, "The bed's a lot more comfortable than your desk... I'll help you to the bedroom." His concern for their dinner plans were suddenly gone and replaced for the concern of Chase. To him it seemed like Chase had been over working himself because of his new position at the cafe.

  • Chase jerked awake with a gasp and wide eyes. Vision a bit blurred from sleep, he rubbed his eyes in an attempt to rub away the sleep. Yawning, his gaze focused and he noted his office and then- shoot! Green eyes found the clock and saw that he was supposed to be done with work! Ugh! Groaning, he realized he wasn't alone and found him blinking at Noah, then he flushed and he rubbed his neck. "Whoops? Sorry love," he mumbled, embarrassed. How could he have fallen asleep, again?!

Taking note of what his lover offered he frowned and shook his head. "No, I said we'd go to dinner. I'm fine, really!" he insisted, stubbornly. Standing, he yelped as his legs buckled under him and he grabbed the desk, cursing. His legs, they were asleep?! Seriously? Now how could he convince Noah to go to dinner, if was not going anywhere like this. 'The universe loathes me, that must be it.' He thought irritably. Taking his seat once more, he leaned down and rubbed his tingling legs, desperately hoping to get them to wake up.

Sitting back against his chair, he looked at Noah with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry Noah. I really, very much want to go out to dinner with you," he whispered, looking down gloomily. This was so not fair.

  • "Chase..." Noah muttered out worriedly as Chase insisted that they still went out to eat, his eyes shining with concern for his husband. Chase didn't seem fine, between the way he was acting recently and this whole situation, Noah had to claim otherwise. It was weird and worrying and Noah hoped that they could work it all out. He stepped out of the way as Chase moved to stand, a loud gasp escaping past his lips when the other man's legs buckled, instantly reaching out to help. He only pulled back when Chase managed to get himself back into his chair and Noah was feeling even more worried than before. What was that? Did Chase's legs fall asleep from sleeping in the chair? Whatever it was, it still had Noah worrying. There was no way that they were going anywhere tonight.

Noah gave a gentle sigh at Chase's apology, knowing that he really meant it. Pushing his concerns about how Chase had been pushing him away, Noah focused more on what was currently going on. They could deal with that another time. Now, he needed to make sure Chase was okay health wise. Crouching down and resting his arms on Chase's thighs, Noah looked up at his lover with a look of understanding. "Don't. We can go to dinner another time. Right now, I just think we should worry about you." He said softly, then offering a small smile, "Now please, let me help you to the bedroom, or at least to the couch? I think you need a serious break and I'm not taking no for an answer."

  • Chase sighed and he took a glance at the ceiling. "Pouting probably won't work, huh?" he guessed, looking back down at his husband with a wry grin. Then he nodded, giving into his lovers wishes. "Alright, couch. No way I want to be stuck in bed for the rest of the night," he relented, as he placed a hand on Noah's head and ran his fingers though his soft hair. Moving his hand from the male's hair to his arm, he rubbed and and then entwined it with one of his hands. Then he carefully stood, not complaining as his lover helped him stand he made his way into the living room with Noah's help.

As they reached the couch and Chase gratefully sat back down, he decided that yeah, dinner out another night was most likely for the best. Sitting back, he tossed his head back and ran a hand through his messy hair. "Hmm, I need to re-dye the blue strands," he mumbled, eyeing the faded strands as if they personally insulted him. Oh yes, he was totally stalling the forthcoming questions from Noah and he was unashamed too. Without hesitation he grabbed his lovers hand and pulled him onto his lap, wrapping his arms around his waist and burying his face in his neck, breathing in deeply. "You smell nice," he commented, voice muffled but sincere.

  • Noah let out a noise of surprise when Chase pulled him down and onto his lap, eyes widening at the sudden movement. He settled once Chase wrapped his arms around him and buried his face against his neck. This made a smile appear on Noah's lips, giving a chuckle at his husband's words. The sudden displays of affection shouldn't be surprising, but it honestly was. He just hoped that Chase wouldn't pull away like last time and that he'd continue to be affectionate. "Thanks, babe." He replied as he moved to comb his fingers through Chase's dark brown locks, pressing even closer and resting his head against his husband's. He really enjoyed being this close with Chase, being able to hold onto him and never having to let go.

Noah went silent for a moment before began to speak again, focusing back on the problem at hand. "How are you feeling?" The man then asked, pulling back a bit in order to try and meet Chase's gaze. "Is your work really making you that tired? Maybe you should call in sick tomorrow, just so you can rest and take a break, Chase... You seem really, I dunno.... Out of it." Noah's words softened and that concerned expression of his was making a reappearance.

  • This closeness felt amazing, it was so familiar and yet... he knew it had been quite some time. Silently he swore he would be a better husband to Noah, he deserved the best after all. Nuzzling the other male, he kissed his neck. For a moment he was completely at ease, but then the moment passed and his lover's words hit home. Eyes closing, Chase let go a soft sigh. Work was tiring but, not enough to stop. It wasn't the work that was making him so exhausted any ways.

"I'd love that very much, Noah. But I just got promoted, I can't skip work now," Chase muttered, thought reluctantly. He saw and heard the worry in Noah's words and wished to comply but he just couldn't. Not yet anyway. "In a few weeks I can but not now." Gently, he tightened his hold on his lover, the more they spoke the more he knew he had to say but he continued to stall.

  • Noah sighed at Chase's response but he wrapped his arms around the man's shoulders, hugging him closer and placing a gentle kiss to the man's temple. "I'm sure they'd understand if you just called and told them that you aren't feeling very well and need a day off. Just a day. That's all I'm asking." Noah continued on, trying to get his husband to agree with him. He was worried about his lover and he wanted to do anything he could to make sure he'd be okay. "You've been working your butt of for them, Chase. And with how tired you are, I'm sure that your boss would agree with me about you getting a day of rest. They need you awake and healthy." The man fell silent after that and rested against his husband, continuing to hold onto him, enjoying their closeness and the quietness of the house. It was just the two of them and Noah wished that it could always be like this. He wondered if he should bring up how he felt about his husband pushing him away, though he didn't feel like now was a good time for that. Instead, Noah pulled back a bit and used his hand to gently tilt Chase's head up. He looked into Chase's green eyes and offered him a little smile, though his concerned expression wasn't going away. "I'm just really worried about you, Chase." Noah then muttered out, voice soft and gentle, and caressed Chase's face.

  • Chase looked down at the floor and thought really hard about it. He did notice people giving him looks, both worried and annoyed. Reaching a hand up, he covered his lover's which was touching his own face. "Okay, one day. I'll text them later," he finally relented, giving his lover a small smile. Concentrating on the warmth he felt as he kept his lover by his side, he ran a hand down along his lover thigh. "No more worrying, you are gonna get wrinkles," he teased, eye sparkling with mischief.

(Sorry for such short posts. I'm sick and super tired today. XD)

  • (It's okay, don't worry!! I hope you feel better!! :D

Noah was absolutely relieved that Chase finally gave in and agreed with taking a day off, even if his husband didn't seem to happy about it. His smile widened and the worried expression that had been on his face relaxed and disappeared. "I'll see if I can get off of work early too. I don't think Mrs Gillian would mind taking over for me." He replied. Spending the day with his husband was a good day in his books. Besides, he wanted to be around to make sure that Chase was actually taking a break instead of sneaking off to do work. He hummed at Chase's touch, pressing into it and he laughed softly at what the man had to say. "Oh I'm sure I'm already getting some. The kids at the school are hell spawns." He responded with a little shake of his head. He moved his hand and took hold of Chase's holding it in his own before leaning in to peck the other man's lips as he whispered out a gentle, "I love you..."
