  • TIMBERKIT

Timberkit panted, the feeling in her lungs worsening like a spiky collar around her neck. Struggling to breathe, every breath a pain of its own kind. She ran away, ran away from Stonekit. Why? She- she'd attack him someday. She'd do that and- and she would kill him. She would kill Stone. The hatred inside her was darker than the pitch black darkness surrounding her. She managed to look around her, eyes getting used to the less light. What-what was this place? Loneliness. It... it was loneliness. The one she felt every single day of her life as she settled down. Sadness to anger. Transfer sadness to anger. Shouted the voice inside her head as her vision grew blurry. She was in a clan, surrounded by family. But... but she was lonely. She wouldn't be able to live like it, not normally. She wasn't a sociopath. She was completely normal- that was the problem. She felt everything. She- she felt sad. She wanted to resist, to hide. But sh couldn't. It was too painful. She- she needed to break down from time to time. And sadness was weakness. Nobody should see her like this. She had no medicine, only catnip she didn't know where to find. The tears fell down her face. This was her true self. She didn't find happiness in hurting others, just relief. She wasn't a psycho. She was hurt. But nobody could understand, never.

With that thought in mind, she woke up for the calling of her mother. Her mother. The one who caused all this pain. SHE. Would. PAY.

  • Pitchstar knew what it meant to be lonely. He knew how it felt, and how rapidly it gnawed at ones mind, drawing them farther and farther away from the path of sanity. It was a hollow feeling, filled with nothing but darkness and depression. Even he had bowed to the crushing weight of being so alone. But then he found her. Eveningshade. A sleek legged, lean bodied female with a dual colored pair of eyes that seemed o pull him into a trance every time he looked into them. Her warm scent was imprinted into his cranium, bringing him joy in the frequent moments that she crossed his mind. Pitchstar loved her. A tom that always thought that he was not deserving of such had found something he never thought he would. Love.

And boy did he love love.

The bobtail gave a deep stretch once he had slipped from his den, jaws parting in a yawn as is breath drifted away in wispy clouds. He was ready for leafbare to over. His muscular build had given way to one of protruding bones and hunger, but the leader didn't mind it too terribly much. He didn't mind being the last to eat. He has seven lives left, the first two having been taken away very close together. It was a horrible ordeal. But now his strength was back. Pitchstar flicked an ear as he allowed his molten gaze to sweep across camp, watching the camp wake. His wide paws carried him over to the nursery and his head poked in to the warm, milk scented aura. The battle scared leader had a soft spot for kittens, and it showed.
