  • TIMBERKIT

The small, tawny-colored kit laid on her mother’s queen nest, leaving for others to lay on the edges or the ground. If she was able to be assertive enough to get that place, it belonged to her and done. The others can find their own, or, well- steal their own nests. The she-cat slept nicely, until a loud noise woke her up from her nap. Go to Dark Forest with your noise you mousebrain, I sleep a few hours every day and it must be interrupted. Timberkit thought as she stood up to look around. Not like being interrupted made her angry- she didn’t need much sleep, or at least wanted to make herself think that. She looked up and saw a dilute molly looking around the nursery until her eyes landed on her kits. She ran to them, ears twitching in rush as she looked them over. “Hope I didn’t wake you up!” shouted Jewelpelt even louder. “You did you...” murmured Timmy, but didn’t get the time to finish because her mother continued talking. “Timberkit, keep up with your assertivity, Branchkit by StarClan’s sake go outside on your own one day, and you others don’t forget I love you all and would die for you and you are my little jewels. Now, I need to organize a patrol so have a good nap!” the deputy spoke fast and without any emotion in her tone before she ran out of the nursery again. Timberkit ran out of her nest, and stood by the entrance. “WE DON’T NEED YOU HERE YOU FOXHEART!” she shouted out, but her mother was already long gone. Angriness made her swish her tail and her vision turned blurry as she turned around, trying to calm herself down enough to look ‘above the thing’. She looked at her littermates and then other kits. “So, when our mother who is practically too deputy to spend time with us, that means we can do whatever we want because she wouldn’t care. Who wants to go out and do some troubles?” she called with her normal, trying-to-sound-low-pitched-and-adult and not-a-question-but-a-statement voice. Geez, she just hoped that little rat Stoney would start acting normal after she taught him who she is- someone better than everyone here!

//okay this is like a complete muse firework, Tim is legit and I love how she totally hates Jewelpelt. All others are IC but Jewel is like the worst mom ever

  • Barkkit never did understand fully understand why her mother was never around, yet their father tried being there as much as he could despite having warrior tasks to complete. Her rebellious siblings always made things harder when it came to interacting with their parents. Mama Jewelpelt was a rare sight to see despite being as young as they were, it caused them to form a wedge between parents and children. "We might get in trouble then, I don't wanna make them angry" The calico kitten mewed, trying to keep this family knit together despite how rough it already seemed to be going.

Timberkit smirked in the way of her sibling. Mousebrain. She thought, but decided to keep calm. Her weak siblings needed some training to life. They would be thankful when they grew up. One of the few things Jewelpelt was intolerant about was passivity. She’s teach them how important assertiveness is then. “Oh, isn’t it mom’s honey! Guess you’d rather stick yourself to her back left leg, and listen to her babbling about the warrior code. We don’t matter to her, so why should what she says matter for us?” she said, gently blinking towards Barkkit as her voice softened at the end.

//okay, Bark and Jewel need a thread, I just want Bark to be Jewel’s hunny so much hhhhhh

  • It appeared that Timberkit took to the hard side of life, despite being as young as they were. Barkkit was currently almost as docile as her father, until she either got to frustrated or upset. Eventually the young molly would grow out of it but still retain some passive motives. "No I wouldn't!" Barkkit snapped almost defensively, unable to see herself being stuck fully to their mom like that. It was true that Bark wished to see past all the treatment, simply hoping to actually have a mom that could support her. "She's never said that....." Jewelpelt had duties that needed to be done, she wasn't able to be with them because of that. She was one of the first cats that dealt with a threat, or at least that's what Barkkit thought. She was out there keeping the clan safe and calm.

At least one of his siblings were sensible, Stonekit thought. He wasn't sure he could vouch for the others yet, but Barkkit was certainly a respectable young molly. She understood, like him, that Jewelpelt had far more important things to do than chase after kits all day. "Quiet, Timberkit." He instructed, still dozing in his own nest.

After Timberkit had claimed the entirety of the litter's nest for her own, he had constructed his own. Jewelpelt had helped, proof (that he didn't need) that she cared. "Don't cause trouble. And don't force Barkkit to, either!"

That seemed like something Timberkit would do. She was awful like that.

sorry to break it to ya stone but jewel only cares about u-

  • TIMBERKIT

Timberkit grinned. Stonekit? Hasn't she taught him his place? Mousebrain. "Who are you to tell me Stone? You should go to Ebony for some herbs for your kittencough first. It seems you're not alright yet." she mocked her older brother. She loved acting as if she was older. Also, he and Barkkit seemed to both be stuck to mom. The horrible person she was, some cats looked poor enough to want her. Really poor. Not her. She didn't need her. Not a little. She could do more troubles without her around. She never missed her. "Also, don't you want to stick yourself to her right back leg afterwards? You three would have a nice chat about rules."

  • Conekit had moved at his sister's request, despite being the fragile one. He didn't like to think about it. Her shrill scream pulled him awake from his place on the cold floor. He blinked his heavy eyes and turned his head. "Why are you yelling? What's wrong?"

His eyes blinked wider and he tried sitting up but toppled over on his back. He wiggled his little paws in the air and enjoyed himself while he was down. A nice long stretch. He was alive for two moons so at least that was in his favor.

Huffing, Stonekit rolled over, trying to settle down and fall asleep again so he could ignore Timberkit. Visit Ebonyrose? As if! She may be qualified to heal, but something about her made his fur stand on end. "Don't demean our clanmates with nicknames, Timberkit. Not rogues." He muttered, but was too tired to truly argue with her.

At the sound of Conekit's voice, he stretched, getting to his paws at last. Padding over to his brother, he sat beside him and watched him play on the floor. It was strange, how easily amused he was, or so Stonekit thought. Something about it made his heart feel warm and full. "Don't worry, Timberkit's just being stupid." He assured Conekit.

He didn't risk licking him, worried he might spread his kittencough, since Conekit had always been so fragile and weak. Stonekit had to protect him. Especially from Timberkit.

  • TIMBERKIT

Timberkit waned to say more, when Conekit stepped into the view. Weak, small, easy to be manipulated. Perfect target. Just a little wanting could make him her partner in crime. Maybe one day she could use her for something nice. But before she could say anything from her point of view, Stone spoke. Luckily, he was stupid enough to use one sentence Tim could use. Tim got a savage reply for him, but after Cone came, she had an even better. She padded towards her younger sibling and smiled towards him. She curled her tail around him protectively, an started. "Oh, I wanted to go play outside but Stone says it's against the rules. Byrocrat." she spat the words more to Stone than to Cone, and the continued for her sibling. "You wanna go with me? I'm gonna protect you, don't worry. You wanna see mom?" she asked, hoping the promise of seeing mom would break Cone.

  • "You know, rules are there for a reason. It's to keep you safe..." The docile voice of the senior warrior lifted up into the space of the nursery after he had dropped a small mouse upon the ground. He had been there for Jewelpelt's kitting and now she was struggling with both being a mother and the deputy of the clan. A part of him wondered if Pitchstar should have chosen a temporary deputy till Jewel was able to get back onto her paws, so she could spend more time with her kits and watch them grow before returning to her duties. His bicolored eyes shifted over the young before he settled down, with paws thickly furred as he pushed the mouse forward. Though he wondered if the kit was actually going to try and make a break for it and cause some trouble. The world was scary out there and the warrior code helped to keep things in line. "I'm Snowlynx by the way, one of your mother's friends and trust me when I say she is trying her best."

  • TIMBERKIT

Ahh, those filthy adults. Mom’s friend? Sure, Jewelpelt couldn’t care about her own familt, but had thousands of friends to do it for her! Let’s see. Timberkit stared at Snowlynx with fire in her eyes. Whie long pelt. No big scars. Nothing she could know to mock him for. Mousedung. Another person who could never understand. Well, she would break the rules by herself if nobody else wanted. Keep them safe? Safety meant no adventure. Also, most of the rules were so they didn’t cause trouble. Trouble was too the opposite of safety? Nah, but Tim wanted to cause trouble anyways. And mom was trying her best? Mousebrained! She wasn’t, she simply wasn’t. “Well, okay mom’s friend,” Timberkit didn’t even feel it was worthy to call him by his name. Her look filled of contempt for the white tom. Her eyes tried to burn into his pelt as she did calm and smooth steps back to her nest. On her attitued, there was nothing like respect against the bigger cat. She sat down in her nest and gave the whole nursery a bored face to show them, how boring it is when you listen to adults. After Snowlynx stopped speaking his garbage, she’s sneak out by herself and try something.

    //All IC opinions!.

  • cottonkit was sleeping peacefully, something she enjoyed doing, when various noises and yelling filled her ears. she opened her eyes faintly, and swung her head around to see timberkit and conekit, with the company of stonekit and another adult she didn't register. was timberkit back at it again?

personally, she didn't mind that Jewelpelt was always gone. though too young to identify the cause of her absence, she was okay with just chilling and listening to her siblings bicker. her fur was already sticking everywhere, and she tried to soothe it back down with her tongue. her big paws helped her up and she shook off, giving the white-furred adult a questioning look. "Timberkit, what is everyone bickering about?" she made her way beside her sister. conekit looked frightened and wary, but that seemed to be her default look, so meek and small. and stonekit seemed to be bossing them around with the aid of barkkit. didn't matter much to cottonkit, she would take any side they wanted her to take.

  • Conekit blinked up at Stonekit. Stonekit seemed to know everything! Oh, but that made Timberkit upset. He lowered his ears thoughtfully, trying to understand. Timberkit wasn't stupid! But she was doing that thing again. The 'this'll get me in trouble' thing. He popped up as a vouce came in, breaking up the arguing briefly.

"Hey Snowlynx! Thank you for the mouse! He purred, hobbling over past his sister. "Sorry Cottonkit!"

He stepped over her and wormed over to the mouse. He didn't realize all what was happening, but he didn't like the yelling. "Hey let's just eat together guys! I've never had mouse before." He mewed before tugged at the meat. It....wasn't coming off. He wasn't strong enough to tear it. He gave a shy look at Snowlynx and laughed. He laughed at his misfortune because he couldn't do much else.
