  • The clan seemed to be filled with life and activity the past few days, practically bursting at the seams with both good news and bad of various degrees. It filled Petalstep with a renewed sense of energy, pushing her to do better, to work harder to ensure the safety and comfort of her clanmates in whatever ways she was able. More often than not that meant she was out hunting in the thick evergreen forest, seeing as that was her greatest skill set and the best way she could contribute. At that very moment she was returning from a hunt, a light dusting of snow coating her dark pelt and a limp squirrel hanging loosely in her jaws. Swiftly making her way through the large cavern to the fresh kill pile, the tortoiseshell molly carefully added her trophy to the top of the stockpile. It was then that a blur of movement caught her eye, and the warrior turned slightly until her bright hazel eyes landed on the vaguely familiar form of a calico queen. Allowing a warm smile to pull at her lips, Petal padded forward to greet the other female. "Hello, Jewelpelt," she purred sweetly. "I heard about your promotion to deputy, congratulations!" She didn't know femme very well, but from what she had seen, Jewel would do a wonderful job. "Oh, and your upcoming kits too! You must be very excited." What would it be like to have a family..? Petal wasn't sure she would ever know, but she could imagine it was something to look forward to.

Jewelpelt smiled warmly at the tortoiseshell who turned to her to congratulate her, and a gentle purr escaped from her. Warriors were very important to the clan- cats like Petalstep sere what was keeping the clan alive. Like that squirrel could help someone survive. It was questionable how the calico learned that. If she was called the name Alexandra now, she wouldn’t respond in any way. She was someone else, and he others also saw that. She decided to stop thinking about if she was worthless or important, and started being her good old self. Like helping others and such. Sure, there were a lot of changes in her life recently. “Hey Petalstep! Yes, it is exciting. I had a litter before, but neither the father and kits survived,” a sour smile formed on her muzzle. “Now they both have a father and holefully shall be alright. Now I got my clan, y’ know. Also, that squirrel is cool. Did you go hunting?” she asked, smiling gently.
