The second patrol of the day, and Eaglespirit was starting to get frustrated. No word about where Jasperstar was, no hint or anything. Surely, surely he had to be somewhere. Surely, there had to be some word about him somewhere. While he wasn't expecting much from Thunderclan - he wasn't sure the two clans ever interacted - it might still be good to check all the bases. He crossed the Thunderpath from Shadowclan, grateful this was such a short trip for the two apprentices' sake. Yet at the same time, the longer they were out the longer Vulturepaw was away from his father, which the giant tom was starting to see was a very bad cat. One he despised the most - an abuser who preyed on those weaker than them just because they can.

But that was not relevant now, there was little he could do at them moment besides get proof and watch the warrior's moves. This was a time to find Jasperstar, nothing else. He sat down at the border and stared into the trees, waiting for a patrol to come.

Acornpaw arrived after Eaglespirit, his paws caked in snow and mud. He sat down, thinking over the days events. No sign of Jasperstar anywhere... the tom sighed and turned his yellow gaze the Thunderclan territory and noted the smell of the different cats that lived there. He too then began waiting patiently for a patrol to come by.

  • Not far behind Acornpaw came Vulturepaw with a revolted expression on his face. Not only did ShadowClan reek, but they had also been responsible for the murder of an apprentice that was just around his age. Vulturepaw did not sit, he kept his gaurd up and stood with his tail low between his hind legs out of annoyance. He was gazing around too, just in case one of them tried a sneak attack.

Dawnbreeze had been hunting alone a habitual activity of hers, when she noticed the strange cats. The small tabby perked her ears in interest, padding calmly toward them. Hello, she called in her soft voice. Do you have business with Thunderclan? she asked politely, curiosity plain in her eyes, manner entirely devoid of hostility. They smelled like Windclanners, and she wondered what business was so important that they would chose to cross Shadowclan territory rather than wait for the next gathering.

Coming up behind Dawnbreeze, Rosepaw glanced around the warrior curiously, staring at the WindClan cats silently. She regarded them blankly and waited to see how the intruding cats would respond to the ThunderClan patrol and their questions. The little calico herself kept silent, though, merely observing.

  • It was hard to hunt with hunger sapping his energy, but what else could Cyclonebluster do? Hunting was growing harder and harder as the season progressed, but if they caught nothing, they'd have no strength to continue. It was at times like these that he almost wanted to believe Ivyleaf and Adderstrike when they sang the benefits of stealing prey from their neighbors.

Joining his Clanmates near the border, amusement lit his eyes at Lucidpaw's remark. It was a little rude, but if Cyclone didn't have the energy to hunt, he certainly didn't have the energy to remind the apprentice to mind his tongue. "They smell like WindClan," he settled for explaining. "You've patrolled that way before, haven't you, Lucidpaw? You'll probably run into them from time to time." When he'd first joined ThunderClan, learning the scents associated with the different Clans had been difficult, but he thought he had a pretty good handle on it now. Frequent interactions with other border patrols had certainty helped.

Crooking a smile toward the WindClan patrol, he tilted his head as he waited to hear what they needed. Hopefully, they weren't going to bring up anything bad. ThunderClan couldn't afford any extra trouble.

-----> Asphodelpaw came up behind Cyclonebluster, silently standing beside the tom. He looked over the patrol of windclan warriors and apprentice, wondering what exactly thier buisness was. Windclan and Thunderclan didn't have a strained relationship, and their territory was too far for any of Ivyleaf's cronies to have stolen from. Still, this could be trouble. With a huff, Asp turned and bounded back for camp to fect +BLACKSTAR+ and ~Fallowsoul~

  • ❝ And I could be enough. ❞

Moonwatcher followed Asphodelpaw back towards the border, instructing an NPC to fill Blackstar in once the leader returned from his own patrol. The silver tabby deputy would walk forward and dip her head to Eaglespirit in greeting, "This was a far way for Windclan cats to travel, is everything well with you and your warriors?" Moonwatchers tone would be diplomatic, polite, and calming as she spoke, her gaze evenly meeting that of Eaglespirits.

    "And we could be enough"

    ❝ That would be enough...❞

  • Blackstar was next to arrive, standing besides his daughter, silently regarding the windclanner’s before them. Dipping his head in greeting to the warriors, the heavily scarred leader was quite curious as to why they had come upon their borders. Seemingly with a mission even.

    "i wait for the morning."

Glancing at her mentor, Rosepaw stayed quiet and glanced back at the WindClan cats. It had been a while since Blackstar actually met a patrol at the border, so she wondered if someone had fetched him, or if he had just been out and about with the deputy as well. It also made her wonder who was back at camp if both of them were here instead of there. It seemed like poor planning on their part, but she wasn't about to point that out in front of them and the WindClanners.

// it's been a couple days and eagle hasn't replied, i hope it's ok if i just go ahead

Acornpaw looked at all the Thunderclanners who had arrived and felt slightly nervous under their collective gaze. He swallowed that feeling though and drew himself up slightly taller, feeling more sure of himself. He could do this... no problem.

"Our leader, Jasperstar, has gone missing. We were wondering if you had any information on where he might be." he said, determined not to mess up. And he didn't. He hadn't even stumbled on any of his words. The apprentice looked to the faces of the Thunderclanners, hoping for some good news.

  • "I hadn't heard anything of his condition since word got out about that little altercation in BloodClan," Brinetail replied, coming out of the woodwork as she was apt to do. She didn't divulge the source of this information, however. It was probably Slowhand, since now that he was in DarkClan, they could actually talk sometimes without feeling like they had to be at each other's throats. "I figured that was that and he had gone back to WindClan. I didn't catch wind of him myself, unless someone did and we weren't told about it," she said, offering a quizzical glance towards Blackstar and Moonwatcher.

Missing? Their leader is missing? Glancing in surprise at the other members of the ThunderClan patrol, Rosepaw turned back to the WindClan cats and shook her head, mystified. "We're sorry that he's missing, but we haven't heard anything. If we do, we'll find a way to let you know." The little calico didn't think they would see Jasperstar here in ThunderClan territory, since it was so different from WindClan's moor, but maybe that was the idea.

  • ❝ Why should I play this game of pretend?❞

Moonwatcher would shake her head, only further confirming both Rosepaws' and Brinetails words, "Brinetail and Rosepaw are correct, I'm sad to say. We haven't seen Jasperstar on Thunderclan territory...Though our prayers with Starclan are with your clan at this time." The she-cats words were sincere, her pale gaze moving over the Windclan patrol gently as she meowed, "If we do hear anything, as Rosepaw said, we will attempt to inform you all immediately."

    "Remembering through a secondhand sorrow?"

    ❝ I will sing no Requiem tonight....❞

Dawnbreeze listened to the exchange in respectful silence, shooting Brinetail a surprised glance at her comment. Word had gotten out? The small warrior had heard nothing of it. She could not help, but she hoped to express good will and let the Windclanners feel as though Thunderclan was courteous and sympathetic. Better to be kind than to make enemies. Starclan be with you, and your leader. For what it is worth, I hope he is safe, she interjected in her melodic tone, tone warm and eyes kind.
