    Well there was no luck in Darkclan, so they must move further into the mountains to see if this was where Jasperstar went. The giant tom led the others in complete silence, and they brushed just on the other side of Darkclan's scent markers until that disappeared and there was a scent marker very different than what Eaglespirit had ever smelled before. Yet also.......he swore it smelled like something familiar, a memory on the verge of his mind, too distant and faint to catch onto it though. But this was not the time to focus on that, Jasperstar needed to be found, and fast. He sat down and stared into the distant slopes, waiting patiently for a patrol to find them.

    Diamond was already tired from the walk. She almost tattered, and started to pant. She was very happy when Eagle set down, and the tired apprentice tried to catch her breath again.

    //sorry zero muse

  • Visiting DarkClan had been an interesting experience. Although Wolfsbane had gone on a number of border patrols, he'd never actually directly interacted with another Clan before. Unsurprisingly, DarkClan had been more similar to WindClan than the rogue group that Wolfsbane had grown up in. Coming to a stop besides Eaglespirit, he commented, "It smells worse here than it did in DarkClan."

  • ✦ ✧ ✦ finally feeling more at peace upon discovering that none of her close relatives in DarkClan from the time she had spent there as a kit were still around, Talonstrike found herself in a surprisingly good mood upon reaching the Tribe's territory. a smaller version of her father, the fluffy blue and white tabby she-cat slipped up beside him, her nose wrinkling slightly as the scent markers washed over her. the Tribe certainly had an interesting scent, one she had not come across before. the cool mountain air was comforting, and the young warrior couldn't help but notice her thick pelt was quite good at keeping her insulated and warm in the cold climate. it was quite odd, given her DarkClan and city cat lineage, but Talonstrike pushed the thought away, believing it was simply good luck. at Wolfsbane's comment on the scent, she blinked her mint green eyes a few times, before shrugging slightly, not voicing her agreement or lack thereof.

  • When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.

    With the stupid sharp tooth stuff going on, the once cave-guard was back on his duties for now as extra muscle, due to the simple fact that with a pregnant cat and low numbers in their midst, they absolutely could afford no blow to their carefully balanced dynamic.

    Thus, Current’s plans had been set on backburner as he lazily patrolled with a few others, his light eyes scanning the area every few steps to make sure everything was clear. As they passed the Darkclan border he caught the light scent of a fresh patrol, but from.. Windclan, and curiously he turned that way, glancing back at the others to ensure they were all on the same path, although it seemed they all caught the scent as well. With senses alert in preparation for a large attack, there was no way any of them could’ve missed the little patrol.

    Current eyed them carefully, mud streaked dark pelt hidden in the bushes well before he decided to emerge at the simple fact that the Windclanners appeared to be waiting. His mind was brought back briefly to Veil, who was still in Darkclan as Current recalled. He wondered if this group had stopped there too, and had seen the Stoneteller kin.

    No matter, as these cats seemed to have no clue of the danger they were in- sitting around like that practically waiting for a sharptooth to come and snatch the quad up. Current cleared his throat as he came from the shadows, silently and quickly appearing in front of them in the way Tribe cats always seemed to do. He eyed them all curiously, although it was purely for show, as he’d done so previously while in the bushes.

    You’re on Tribeland- although i suspect with your demeanor you know that already. I’d ask that you’re brief with your explanation so we can decide where to go to talk further, or if this can be handled swiftly, as it isn’t safe to wait about with a mountain lion on the loose- that would be the strange smell on the air that you’ve so kindly commented on,” he explained, looking around cautiously. “I don’t think i’ve met any of you, so for all sake of formalities, I am called Current if Steady River, i’m the Stoneteller to-be, or in your terms Leader’s Apprentice combined with Deputy,” he continued before looking around once more for a moment, hesitating. “Star(or npc because im assuming you’ll reply), can you keep eye out for the Sharptooth until we’ve decided our actions?

    Revelation 9:6

  • The Tribe patrol seemed to appear from nowhere, mud stained pelts dripping from the shadows. The strange smell was so overpowering that Wolfsbane hadn't smelled them, although considering the amount of muck Current had painted onto his dark pelt, he wasn't sure if he would have even if the scent had been less intense.

    Although Current, as the blue eyed tom introduced himself, seemed mostly curious, one of the npcs behind him looked almost anxious. Could this 'mountain lion' really scare them so much? Wolfsbane had never heard the term before, but it he knew that no lions had walked this area for generations. Lions were terrors from stories, not anything to worry about—although he'd once heard a loner mention that she'd seen a lion in some sort of twoleg enclosure that housed many animals, but he figured that was nonsense. If lions were was terrible as they were made out to be, they'd eat any twoleg who tried to lock them up. The tribe's mountain lion/sharptooth/thing didn't worry him.

    Eagle had a strange look on his face, as though he was trying to remember something. When he didn't respond to Current right away, Wolfsbane glanced toward Diamondpaw and Talonstrike, but both of them looked like they were waiting for Eaglespirit to speak first. (Or did he just not believe, even after all this time, that a molly couldn't take charge in a situation like this? Even Wolfsbane himself wouldn't know the true answer to that question.) Losing patience, he cleared his throat. He'd heard Eaglespirit ask about Jasperstar in DarkClan; he knew what to say. "Jasperstar, our leader," it still felt wrong to verbally call someone other than his father his leader, but he choked back the doubt, "Is missing. Has he come this way?"
