    Name: Jacob Stein

    Hero/Villain alias: Jack or Trickster

    Age: 18

    Occupation: Villain

    Power: Energy Beam

Power description: He can project energy beams from his hands and shoot them at his foes. He is also quite nimble and agile, often avoiding others' attacks by using his laser beam to enhance his speed and evasion.

Hero/Villain outfit: a black vest, beat up black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. To disguise his face, he often wears white face-paint and "Harley Quinn-esque" blue and red eyeshadow.

Personality: Despite his innocent appearance, Jack is an absolutely chaotic individual. He acts according to whatever will do the most destruction. Upon meeting him, most would think that Jack was a bubbly, energetic and charming young man. Although, this is just a cover to his more demented, yet intelligent demeanor. Despite being a skilled manipulator, he is often to prone to aggressive fits of rage and childish/immature behavior. However, he also a bit of a sensitive side to him that remains obscured by his violent tendencies.

Bio: Jacob, or Jack, was born into a "Hero" family: parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are all heroes. Even he was going to be a hero at one time. However, things do change. When Jacob was being trained as a sidekick, he noticed that the hero's life was not exactly the best fit for him: having to follow rules and laws, having to restrict his powers if it might injure civilians, and not being harsh on villains. The ultimate incident that culminated in Asher's fall was a mission with his hero that almost resulted in Jacob's death.

    Name: Nathan Schwartz

    Hero/Villain alias: X-Ray

    Age: 22

    Occupation: Hero

    Power: Electricity

Power description: The ability to generate electricity. He can shoot at his enemies from a distance, but can also be an excellent close combat fighter. He'll often generate the electricity in his legs to make him run faster and in his hands to send powerful punches at his foes.

Hero/Villain outfit: Black t-shirt, slacks, and trench coat. To disguise his face, he wears a black surgical mask.

Personality: Based on his personality, most would think Nathan would fit more into the "Villain" category. He is often described as being cold and calculating, as well as being suave. While most would agree his personality needs some fine-tuning, he does have traits that many would agree are hero-like. He is a very honorable and honest individual and described as being very humble. He is also a very loyal and protective person.

Bio: Not much is known about Nathan, he often keeps that side hidden from the world. Although he would say that he had a normal childhood and grew up in a rather prominent family.

  • It had all started quite peaceful in the large city. The night had disappeared and the morning was just starting: construction crews began their loud work of trying to modify the roads or build the next apartment complex, people crowded the streets as they made their way to work, the roads full of honking cars and buses as they slowly make their way down the streets.

The First Bank was no different. A line had formed, criss-crossing back and forth to keep it more organized. Tellers rushed around trying to fulfill customers' requests. "Next!" A teller shouted as he helped finish an elderly customer. A young man approached the stand. "What can I help you with, sir?" The teller was moving paperwork back and forth on his desk. "I'd like to make a withdrawal, hun... a large one!" The young man suddenly withdrew a gun from his jacket and pointed it at the teller.

A scream could be heard and suddenly everyone was clambering to the exits. If the young man's only goal was to rob the bank, then he would've needed a plan to keep everyone inside the bank. However, that was not his only goal. It won't be long. He thought with a smirk.

"Freeze!" A lone security guard had somehow sneaked up on the robber. "Put the gun and put your hands above your head." Although the security guard was trembling, he kept his gun pointed at the young man. "As you wish." The young man, still hidden behind a large, black coat, suddenly dropped his weapon. The guard seemed almost shocked that the young man had dropped it. "Alright, now put your hands behind your head." The guard ordered.

"I heard you the first time." The boy smirked and began to fold his hands behind his head. However, the boy suddenly pointed a hand at the guard. A flash of orange surged across the room towards the guard. The guard' gun had been shot out of his hand by the beam. The guard just stared in shock, looking down at his now disintegrated gun. "Wooh, it's hot!" The boy shrugged his jacket off. "You know what's funny? Robbing a bank with a fake gun when you have super powers." He chuckled loudly, his eyes glowing orange and having an evil glint in them...

"Please, let me go!" The guard begged as they made their way to the roof. "What did I say? Shut up and do as I say! If you do that then you can go back to your pathetic life." Their was venom in the young man's voice as he kept one hand pointed at the guard. His other hand was occupied by a dufflebag full of money. As the guard unlocked the door to the roof, the robber could hear sirens. "You know they'll come, right?" The guard said as they stepped out onto the exposed roof. "Yeah, that's the plan." He smirked.

    --

"He's at it again." Nathan muttered bleakly. For weeks now it seemed that they had been following this villain. He always quickly showed up to do something bad and then just as quickly disappeared. The few encounters they had with him had not succeeded in his capture. They had dubbed him "the Trickster" for both his clown makeup and his evasiveness.

"Should we call for backup or should we try to capture him before he does anything stupid?" Nathan turned to look at his partner.

  • Hannah -

The brown haired female ran her hands across her face with a low sigh. Of course he's at it again, what else is new? It's like this bastard knows I hate crowds. But people need saving. Hannah nodded her head and bit down thoughtfully on the nail of her thumb. "I think we should just go alone. We don't completely know the full situation, plus the cops are showing up to. I'm sure we can handle him ourselves. What do you think?" She turned to Nathan with a questioning look, patiently awaiting his signal for them to make their move. To be honest, Hannah felt like this make wanted them to show up, it was a gut feeling, and her gut feelings were almost never wrong.

  • Nathan let out a small sigh and nodded. It wasn't like both of them couldn't take him on. They had both fought him previously, but each time he had escaped before. "Let's do this, but we have to make sure to trap him. The little bastard is a lot quicker and smarter than he looks." He said. They were both currently on a taller building that neighbored the bank. He's fast and his ranged attacks are powerful. He has some skill regarding close combat, but he's physically weaker compared to other superheroes and villains. If Hannah and I can manage to cut off any escape and fight him in close quarters... they would have to be quick and precise.

"Please, someone! Help me!" The guard shouted. "Neh, neh. For someone in danger you don't have a lot of self-preservation." Jacob gave a cruel smile, but he made no move to reprimand the guard. His eyes scanning around, almost as if expecting something to jump out at him. They should be here. He thought for a split second before a bolt of lightning came sailing at his head. He quickly pushed the guard forward and sent in his body backwards to avoid being hit. "Oh, they're here." He smirked, his eyes fixated onto the area where the lightning bolt had been sent from.

Nathan landed onto the roof of the bank building. His eyes were narrowed at the villain. "So, you came after all." The villain taunted with a cruel smirk. "Help! He's insane!" The guard had managed to crawl back to the entrance to the roof and quickly escaped. "Ugh, so annoying." Jacob muttered with narrowed eyes, his body shifted to watch the guard squirm his way out of the confrontation. "Oh well, you two wouldn't go all out if he were still here." The look on his face made it appear that he wasn't all that interested in recovering his captive.

  • Hannah -

The female rolled her eyes. How many times had he pulled stunts like these? She had honestly lost count, but she knew it had been quite a few, especially over the past couple of months. Hannah let out a loud sigh and clenched her fist, letting a bright flame engulf her hand and arm as she turned to face the villain once again. She was glad that the captive had escaped, because then she could teach this guy a lesson he needed; to stop messing around with everyone's every day lives. The brunette would be lying if she said she was less than annoyed, which was something very difficult to pull off, by any other standard. She never got annoyed, but this guy, let's just say she was less than enthused with having to try to catch him for what seemed like the hundredth time. "This isn't about going all out. This isn't some sort of game, stop trying to make it seem so. What do you really hope to accomplish here?" Hannah moved away from Nathan, going slowly around to the other side so she could flank him if need be. He won't be able to dodge us both coming from different sides, or maybe he can, but it's gonna be difficult for him.

  • Jacob just continued to smirk at the two. "Because it is a game, at least for me it is..." He responded to the hero known as Red Flare. He had to watch her carefully, her power over flame was something Jacob admired about her. "Hmmm? I wonder what I want: money? Notoriety?" He shrugged his shoulders and waved his empty hand passively, as if he didn't really have anything he wanted to gain. "Perhaps all I want is a little chaos to cause you-" The dark-haired villain had to stop mid-sentence when a fist came shooting at his face. He was quite shocked that X-Ray would make the first move. Usually he was a bit more calculating, but he must've thought it was better to be quick with Jacob. While the shock was evident on the villain's face, he quickly recovered and avoided the attack with a quick slide to the left. "Oh?" Sly grin matched with playful eyes. The villain's eyes quickly glowed orange, as well as his hands. He quickly quickly swung his right leg up and landed a hit on the man's stomach. Nathan stumbled back a bit and narrowed his eyes at the villain. Jacob just gave him a teasing smirk and took a few steps away from the lightning hero. If he kept a minimum distance, the man wouldn't be able to attack him in close combat.

  • Hannah -

Hannah knew she would have to be very careful. His power was definitely one to watch out closely for. She watched his movements carefully. If Nathan could distract him long enough, she could try to get behind him and subdue him, but if he turned on her and tried to use his power on her she would have to resort to using her fire. And she didn't really like doing that. Hannah let out a loud sigh and took a step closer, trying to divert his attention away from Nathan even if it were for a split second. A second was all he would need, after all. "Cause chaos? Why the hell do you wanna do that? That's going to accomplish nothing. Even if we don't catch you now, your luck will run out eventually and we'll subdue you at some point." Nathan, if he looks away, you should be able to get him. If he even falls for it, that is. She took another step closer, closing the distance between her and the villain.

  • Jacob watched the girl with awe as she approached him. She had not activated her powers yet. What the hell is she doing?! The villain thought, taking a few steps back. "Are you making fun of me?!" He growled at the girl, his suave behavior suddenly disappearing. His hand suddenly pointed at her, when she took another step he shot a ball of energy at her. "Don't make me kill-" He was cut off again, but this time it was a hand around his throat. His eyes shifted to look at X-Ray who know had his entire throat in one hand. A bolt of electricity traveled down his arm and into the villain. Jacob let out a struggled sound of pain. Dropping the bag on money, he clasped both hands around the other man's hand to try and pry it off his throat. A cold look crossed Nathan's eyes and he sent another chain of lightning down his arm. "Agh!" Jacob choked out. Small surges of electricity went up and down his body and he was panting rather loudly. "You okay, Red Flare?" The hero asked his partner. While he covered his emotions well, he didn't like the fact that she used herself as a distraction. He dropped the villain, knowing it was probably best if he didn't murder the villain.

Jacob wriggled on the ground a bit. Shit. How was I done in by that? I need to get out of here.He began trying to crawl away, his body slowly recovering from being slightly electrocuted. If he could put even just a bit of distance between them, then he should be able to escape.

  • Hannah -

As soon as she took another step, a ball of energy came flying out, nearly hitting her. In fact, she would have been hit had she not dodged it. The brunette thought for sure he was about to send another attack her way, when Nathan grabbed his throat almost too roughly. Her heart was thudding loudly in her chest, she realized that when she put her hand to where her slamming heart resounded. She felt fear well up in her throat, but she shook her head to try to get the image of that energy ball out of her head. Hannah's near death experience was temporarily forgotten as she turned to look at Nathan. She could tell he had been a bit worried, she had known him long enough to be able to tell. "Y-yeah. I'm alright, don't worry about me." She tried to smile at him, but it came out more forced than she had originally intended. The hero moved forward and blocked his way, she bent down and gave a short sigh. "I'll personally make sure nothing bad happens to you. This violence doesn't have to continue. Please come with us quietly, I'm sure you're tired of running. And no I wasn't making fun of you earlier."

  • Jacob gave her a look that was akin to a trapped wild animal. His eyes suddenly narrowed. "Tch, the hell?! You heroes are all just the same." He growled and suddenly narrowed his eyes at the girl. Most of his energy had been sapped by the electricity, but that wouldn't stop him from at least trying one more attack to escape. He lifted his arm to point at the girl, his hand glowing a dangerous orange energy. He wasn't actually going to shoot her with it, but it would serve as a distraction if he hit the building behind her. However before he could even shoot a beam, two hands quickly grasped both hands and he was pinned to the ground. A bit dazed, he looked up at his arms to find hands roughly binding his wrists to the ground. Huh? He looked down and found himself face to face with X-Ray. His entire body had been flipped onto his back, his hands were pinned above his head, and his legs spread which put X-Ray right on top of him. It took Jacob a few seconds to leave his stupor and he suddenly flushed a bright red color. "G-Get off me!" He stuttered and began to squirm. Nathan stared down at the villain with a curious stare, he had never seen the villain so flustered.

  • Hannah -

She was pretty scared, to say the least, but at the same time she could tell that he wasn't actually going to go through with shooting her. Hannah's eyes widened, but her attention was torn away when Nathan grabbed onto the villain and flipped him over roughly to subdue him. So after this long, we finally managed to catch him, thanks to me and my recklessness. Hannah knew she had been rather reckless, but she hoped Nathan understood that they had to take a different approach if they were to actually nab the male, and it had paid off. "I guess we can say the exact same about you villains, huh? You're only out for yourselves, and you care about no one else. It's always "me, me, me", isn't it?" She retorted. She was getting tired of this and wanted it to be over. Hannah rested a hand gently on Nathan's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. She reached behind and dug into her knapsack where she held a pair of handcuffs.

  • Jacob opened his mouth to say something, but quickly shut it. Deciding he was better off just glaring and grinding his teeth. He knew he would eventually get caught, he was honestly surprised for how long this game of cat and mouse went on. Although, he would prefer if the game had been just a bit longer.

Nathan turned to look at Hannah, allowing one hand to grab the handcuffs and the other to keep the villain pinned. He then proceeded to bind the other male's wrists with the metal device. He studied the other male with steady eyes, he had never seen the villain look so glum or embarrassed. He was usually so confident and cocky. "I'm curious about something, villain." Nathan muttered, usually he was the quiet one between Hannah and him. Jacob stared up at him, arching an eyebrow at the superhero. His voice had been a lot deeper than Jacob had expected. "Why would you run away when other heroes tried to apprehend you, but fight us?" He had noticed whenever another superhero would enter a scenario with the villain that Jack would quickly escape. Meanwhile, whenever Nathan or Hannah would show up he would fight. Does he think we're weak? That wouldn't make much sense... While Hannah and Nathan weren't the strongest heroes, they certainly ranked higher than others.

Jacob suddenly seemed to freeze and his body stiffened. "I-I don't know what you mean." He stuttered, turning his gaze to look at anything other than the two heroes.

  • Hannah -

The sudden question seemed to catch both the villain and Red Flare off guard. Yeah, she had wondered that, too. That is a bit curious, though. He would always turn tail and run while we always had most of the action. It was peculiar. Hannah tilted her head and helped Nathan to lift him up, though she knew her help was likely unneeded. She liked helping Nathan whenever it called for it, mostly because she constantly wanted to remind him that she was always beside him. Or to remind myself I'm not doing this alone. Hannah hated the idea of fighting crime by herself, especially someone as hard to catch as the Trickster. But her and her companion did just fine together. The female like being in the company of her partner, and she really hoped he did, as well. "Come on, X, we should get him down to the first floor. And... I'm proud of ya." The hero ruffled his hair in an almost affectionate manner and gave him a warm smile. She was glad to be around him, even if it was during work.

    Edit: Fixed

  • Nathan receded from pinning the villain to the ground and helped steady the dark-haired boy onto his feet. The villain stumbled around slightly, obviously still shook from Nathan's attacks. The hero helped him further by steadying him against his body. Hannah had gone to the other side of Jacob and was attempting to help Nathan out. The hero had great admiration for the other girl. She was always so helpful and kind, she definitely helped balance out his coldness.

At feeling both of them at such close contact, Jacob's ear grew a bright pink. The villain had remained silent much to Nathan's annoyance. "If you tell us, maybe we'll help you get a lighter punishment. Seeing as how you've never really physically harmed anyone." The hero offered, taking a few steps towards the exit of the building. "You two probably wouldn't believe me if I told you." Jacob muttered.

  • Hannah -

Hannah turned to look at the younger male with a tilt of her head, suddenly becoming more curious. What would he have to gain by lying now? She would probably believe him at this point, since he had already been apprehended. "Well you don't have much to gain from lying. So what is it that you have to say?" The hero descended the stairs along with the two other males, glancing down to notice that police had gathered near the bottom, likely to take the villain off our hands. She waved them off and despite looking uncertain, they left without saying much of anything. Now that the three were alone once again, she stopped he two and turned to the criminal once more, folding her arms and leaning forward slightly to get a better look at him. At least now, at being this close, she would be able to tell whether or not he was lying or keeping anything from them. "Let's hear it, the only audience you have is us now."

  • Jacob muttered something under his breath, but it was ineligible to either hero. As they made their way down, they had encountered a few police officers who looked more than anxious taking in Jacob. Surprisingly, Hannah waved at them as if to say that the heroes would handle it. Which probably wasn't far from the truth. They walked a few more yards to escape any onlookers and both heroes stopped in a secluded area. Nathan shifted the villain towards Hannah, giving her a better view of Jacob's face. He also placed himself directly behind Jacob, for both making sure he wouldn't escape or fall over.

"Let's here it, the only audience you have is us now." Those words seemed to shake Jacob, staring at the young woman in shock. Here? Right now? His thoughts seemed to run at a million miles per hour. What do you have to lose? Just my dignity and respect. "... like..." He muttered under his breath and shifted his eyes to avoid making eye contact. Other than the one word, Nathan couldn't even understand what he had said. He looked up at Hannah to see if she heard him any better.

  • Hannah -

Her eyes connected briefly to Nathan's, making sure he was really okay with this. He seemed to be, as he planted himself firmly behind the villain to block off the only means of escape that he had. Jack mumbled something incoherently, and she struggled to understand what it was he had said. So quiet, the hell he's embarrassed about now? Hannah leaned forward as he spoke again, but she only caught one word that time. "Like? Trickster, I don't get what you're saying. Can you speak a little bit louder?" He had suddenly become far too quiet. Where was the usual boisterous and overconfident attitude he possessed? Now it seemed like he was a deer caught in headlights. The brunette leaned forward again just in case he would mumble. She wanted to hear what he had to say.

  • Jacob felt his face heat up, this was turning out to be more embarrassing than he thought. His back was starting to feel warm from the close contact from X-Ray. How could this be any more embarrassing? He asked himself. Apparently, something beyond Jacob liked laughing at Jacob's expense. Red Flare was slowly closing the distance between them. His eyes widened further, his cheeks and ears were growing redder, and he let out a silent groan. Too close! "I-I like you both! A lot!" Shit! His eyes fell to his feet. Several emotions seemed to swarm his mind: fear, anxiety, embarrassment, and a bit of shame.

Nathan wasn't sure how he should take the villain's confession. At first he thought it might've been a joke or a way to escape the two heroes. However, he could feel the embarrassment and shame radiating from the villain. For better or worse, he was telling the truth. The hero shifted his eyes look at his partner, wondering what she thought of the villain's sudden confession. She was probably better at dealing with these sort of things.
