  • MELODYKIT ;;

    -----> To cut it even shorter, Melodykit was back.

    Soft cies filled the quiet morning within Shadowclan's territory. In the distance, a monster roared in finality before disappearing into the horizon. In the same manner Mel had been abducted, she was returned. For whatever cause it was that made a mischievous twoleg steal a stray kitten, within that same moment he returned her. Perhaps he had lost interest. Perhaps it just wasn't worth it. Perhaps he was scolded for bringing in a stray child from the street's end. Either way, by some absolute miracle, Melodykit was back.

    Unceremoniously though, the poor girl was trapped within the plastic confines of a garbage bag. Clawing helplessly at the smooth material, too weak to pull herself out. She mewled pitifully, tears streaming down her eyes as she begged the quiet for someone to help her. Like all those moons ago when Owlflight first found her...She hoped her dad would save her again...

  • After Moonfeather's second litter was born, Risingpaw thought that he had simply gotten used to the pitiful cries of kits in need of help. He guessed he was wrong. The thunderpath, with all its stink and danger, had become a good place for the torbie to hunt, so he now frequented the place so that he could provide for the Clan. That was when he heard the muffled cries of a kit somewhere in the distance. He dropped the mouse that was in his jaws and sprang into action.

    There was something moving inside that trash bag. The apprentice leaned forward and realized that this was where the terrified cries of the kitten were coming from as well. His eyes widened and he circled around the bag in search of an opening, and when he found it, he nosed inside and stuck his head in until he could see the kit. He vaguely recognized her face, but could not put a name to it. He took her by the nape and pulled her out into the light, carrying her away from the thunderpath. "What were you doing in there?" he asked, his voice muffled by her fur.

    Cloverpaw came bounding over, having seen Risingpaw pull a small figure from a plastic bag. Her eyes wide and searching, the white and tabby apprentice came closer, trying to see who it was. She spotted some lilac fur and her green eyes widened even further. Could it be? A smile began to spread across her maw.

    "Melody! I missed you so much and you're back now... Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Cloverpaw blurted out, aiming to lick Melodykit's cheek affectionately. She had missed her friend, and was very glad to see her back, although worried about the fact that she had been inside a garbage bag.

    she could hardly believe what she was seeing. she thought that melodykit was gone forever, lost to the twolegs, or dead even. she had grieved for her lost adoptive granddaughter. but now...

    "mel? melodykit?" her voice was soft, not daring to believe it. was it her? she smelled like twolegs and monsters and trash. but underneath was the unforgettable sweet scent of the child. "oh mel! we missed you so much! thank starclan! .owlflight. was so worried. we all were. " she rushed forwards to nuzzle the kitten, wrapping her tail around her and pulling her close. out of all the bad things that had happened lately, here was one good thing.

    Owlflight heard the cries of Sorrelfire and Cloverpaw, but soon saw his daughter. Melody. The feline's rustic orbs lit up and a smile graced his marred maw. Sprinting towards her, he felt overjoyed that the curly furred feline had returned to him. "Mel! You're home!" The bengal curled up near his daughter, tears forming in his eyes. Seeing the trash bag unfurled underneath the small kitten, Owlflight unsheathed his claws. Twolegs had been cruel to her. Scanning the pink hued feline, he noticed no scars on her at all. He should probably thank StarClan for that. "Are you hurt? Are you okay? Do you want me to get you some freshkill? There should be some. Icefeather needs to check you out. Come on. I'll carry you there." He aimed to pick her up by the scruff so that he could carry her there.

  • MELODYKIT ;;

    -----> Melodykit had been known, quite impressively if she may say so herself, as quite the pretty looking doll. Her fur was always groomed to a shine, her stature elegant in it's petite form with just enough weight to give her a healthy looking frame, and her eyes always glowed with an impressive youthful shine akin to starry night skies.

    But the poor lilac scrap pulled out of the garbage bag looked nothing like the vivacious pride of just a week ago. Her fur was flat and dull, covered in dirt and unseemly stains with the tell-tell smells of twoleg place dump. What her long, matted, frankly sticky pelt couldn't hide showed exposed ribs and twig-weak legs. Clearly, the poor girl hadn't eaten much in her time away - and that time had been seven whole days.

    Her vibrant pale blue eyes were duller than a rain puddle, and didn't seem to register the cats around her.

    She merely nodded along, mute to their questions as she struggled to process the sunlight on her face and the openness of her surroundings.

    All in all, Melodykit felt like crap.

    But just like that, light flushed into her tired eyes. Glistening with tears as her father appeared, Melodykit at last let out a chocking cry.

    Burrying her face into his brown pelt, she didn't care at all that she probably smelled and looked like a piece of trash. Poor Owlflight would most likely have his own fur stained thanks to her hugs. But right now, apperences were not her biggest worry. Hugging her father like she might be pulled off him at any second, the girl openly sobbed.

    "Dad! Dad, oh dad! I thought I was never gonna see you again! I - I - I thought I was gonna d-d" she couldn't bring herself to say it, so she just wailed even louder, hugging him tighter.

  • Simmering gently in the shadows of the area the feline watched in silence. She watched as the clan clamored around the young kit upon her return, locked in a garbage bag from a twoleg that thought better of his choices. The reunion was heartwarming, well if the she-cat had felt anything about it. Her warring colored eyes were focused on the father whom licked at his child to make sure she was safe and offer to take her back home where she belonged. A part of her wondered why she was so cold to what was happening right before her. Was it because of her heritage and where she had spent much of her life was the reason that she was so distant from the scene before her. Love was not freely given it was earned and she knew that from the bottom of her heart. Then if she thought that way would she ever earn his love? Or did he deserve someone who would freely love without struggling to please at the same time? Finally the malevolent feline's figure slipped from the darkness and into the light as she gave a small smile, a hopeful look upon her gaze as easy as if she truly felt happy in this moment. "It's so good to see you back Melody. I'm happy the twolegs returned you. Are you hurt?"

    His daughter buried her face into his pelt, wrapping herself around his chest. The chocolate tom was happy. Truly happy. His chest rumbled with a loud purr that probably was shaking the lilac point's body. He had been worried for her safety, but here she was in front of him. Safe and sound. She, of course, smelled of twolegs. However, he didn't care. Melody was safe. "Shhhh. You're home now Mel. You're safe. I'm not letting you out of my sight ever again." The bengal wrapped his paw around his daughter and pulled her closer to him, leaning down and grooming the top of her head softly. All he knew was that Melodykit had gone missing for too long and it had taken its toll on him.

    Looking behind him at Sorrelfire and the others, Owlflight hoped that one of them would get Icefeather. He wanted to make sure that the lilac kit was okay. The bengal knew she seemed fine, but his nerves told him that he needed to have her checked out to be safe. "Will someone please get Icefeather?"

    Upon hearing the commotion, Icefeather followed the noise over to the small group of cats. Ears perking up in surprise at the presence of Melodykit, the medicine cat rushed forward and nosed gently at the little scrap of fur, worried. She had heard that the little kit had disappeared, but no one really knew how or why, so of course the white tabby was worried about the state the little she-kit would be in. "Does anything hurt, Melodykit?" Icefeather asked quietly, her voice raspy from disuse.

  • All that Turtlepaw gathered from the situation was that Melodykit was back. His first friend, the brightest girl he had ever met, shining star Dee. She was back.

    The feline appeared without really realizing what was happening, and once he figured it out, his green eyes went wide. "Dee," he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper, shaky gaze trained on the figure of the sobbing girl. What had HAPPENED to her? He felt his claws unsheathe and sink into the world beneath him. If anyone, ANYONE had hurt Dee... well, Turtlepaw felt anger for one of the first times in his very short life.
