  • Hey all, I'm returning to this site after a long hiatus and am looking for some kind of small group to RP with. I'm open to making the thread or plotting it out but would really like to have some other people to weigh in on what they'd like to see or play. I don't mind if this is just a small group of people that are more dedicated or anything. And any skill level is welcome.

I'd welcome all ideas but there are some things I'm generally not into

-playing animals as the main character

    -one on one

    -playing real characters

-Abuse or themes such as that

And things I'm so down for doing

    -Drama

    -Fantasy

    -original ideas

    -world builing

    -the supernatural

    -Time periods

    -And more!

So just let me know if you have interest, ideas, or know of anything that could be fun!

  • I'm going to track this, also I may have a roleplay or two for you soon when they are up and running read to accept applications and you can see if you're interested.

  • I would certainly love to see what you've got for me, I'm excited to do something, anything really xD So super hype to see what you've got, also feel free to join in on the conversation if we strike up any good ideas in here.

And as for you, what plot ideas were you thinking? I can think of a couple but I was wondering if you had something in mind coming in here.

  • I have one I've been sitting on for a while and even have a group doing a dnd game in the world, so I can explain that one to you, but I'd love to hear what you've been thinking of first!

  • So my idea is kind of long and complicated. So basically there is this girl and she is a human but she as all these powers that allow her to travel to this other world. This world is made of several different kingdoms that all live together most the creatures are fairies ,dragons ,and it very very fantasy. Lately there as been a darkness that as been threatening the world and it follows the girl to the human world and it attacks her and it the process she unknowingly gives five people powers. This girl doesn't have much control over her advanced abilities yet so she sometimes does things when she in danger on accident. So after the attack she finds out she gave the people powers so she can't fix it. Course turns out these people are part of a prophesy to save the magical world. In the magic world the girl is called Soul Weaver by the people because of her abilities. The people soon find out about the group and tell them that their souls used to belong to ones that once lived in the magic world.

I needs development and such but a few extra notes-

-The people given the powers are 17-20

-The girl is youngest at 16 which is why she doesn't have control

-I would like to keep genders even three girls three boys

-I was also hoping to play the girl giving the powers

This needs a lot of work and fine detailing but it has been on my mind for a while

  • DnD! Sound's intriguing, please share!

Also Pride thats sounds great too!

  • Yeah it's a pretty good one! The only issue I have with it is that it seems like too much power could be concentrated with the girl giving out the powers, but don't let that stop you from making it a thread, I'd maybe join.

Okay my idea is this. It's a fantasy modern setting set in a large capital city (yet unnamed) that is a mixture of tokyo, san francisco, and london in terms of theming. All sorts of people live there from standard races to a few I've homebrewed and maybe even more if we let people go crazy with it. The city itself isa hub of activity, from the witch hunters, the religious based institution set out to hunt withces of all kinds and putting them to trial to the more shady dealings out there. Even the normal scene is very lively with the city itself having so much to do from raves to anything really, and all set in a modern manapunk setting.

    Key things:

-There are android robots with 'soul cores' that run them with full sentience that are treated like ordinary machines

-There are two gods in this world, one that is fully legal, and one that is horribly illegal.

-The City is set in the middle of the Ever autumn woods, a patch of woodland that seems to around the year be stuck in fall.

-Otherwise they're in the mountainous region just outside and along the coast. There are several small towns outside most notably the town of Pumpkin Wood

-Homebrew races are thing from the Japanese semi fish people, to the Animalistic Warren people, to a group of people that are made up of slime.

-Witch hunters hunt down witches, which is anyone born with magic, given magic by the wrong entities, or anyone who consorts with demons and or illegal gods.

-While guns do exist they are not as common as swords and traditional weaponry

-I have refrence pictures for a lot of the stuff I'm describing.

The main plot as from the Dnd game is that there is a mysterious benefactor who has sway over a group of people whom he bends to his will, he can appear as shadows and smoke, and seems to control every aspect of the world around him with a snap of his fingers. He would recruit the help of our party and send us out on missions, regardless of what they previously were doing or anything like that, he just needs a certain amount of leverage.

We could have it so that everyone would have one member in this party of misfits weirdos and witches, and as many characters outside of it that would just live their life in this City.

  • OH My god, that sounds amazing- can there be a vampire, there's this character I have a lot of muse for! And it's not the normal kind of vampire

  • I'm glad you're both interested, in reality we could make both threads and populate them both with just a couple more people.

Hiraku looks super cool and would totally work well in the thread. I hadn't thought of vampires in this world so that will be cool, I'm sure witch hunters would be after you, and that would be good leverage for the benefactor to control you in some way or another if that's the way you want to take him.

  • It works for me, I imagine he also would hunt the witch hunters themselves, but only if and when they are by themselves or 'off duty' to at least in some small way dwindle their ranks. Though still for not. I imagine as long as he can get away with it without drawing an enormous amount of attention to himself he would steal/kill small livestock from farms, favorite prey being chickens.

  • yes there are witches that is a huge plot thing xD

And yeah you can hunt witch hunters but reminder that they are very powerful and are essentially paladins of light with magic so you'd have a tough time. But yeah you may be able to catch them off guard. Also note that Witch hunters aren't evil or anything, they just hunt witches.

  • ( This looks interesting, so count me in! I might have a character in mind? I'd need details on witches though. Mainly if they have to be born witches, or if they can be more like D&D warlocks where poking around in the occult can get you powers that you didn't mean to go looking for in the first place? )

  • If you want a dnd comparison, some classes are up in the air whether their witches, others are set in stone, and It's a little complicated I'll admit.

    - ALL sorcerers are witches, because they get their magic naturally, and some people don't like their unpredictability. For example wild magic can be dangerous if unchecked.

    - MOST warlocks are witches, because they get their power from some entity, which could be tied to demons or evil patrons, the only examples being few and far between with even some people who get their magic from a good source being considered witches.

    - ABOUT HALF of all paladins and clerics are witches. This depends on which goddess they get their power from. Those that get theirs from the goddess of the sun, light, and that sort of thing, are often witch hunters. And those that get it from the power of the Illegal goddess are considered heathens and witches.

    - SOME wizards are witches, depending on whether or not they consort with demons or practice illegal rituals such as necromancy. MANY wizards are persecuted as witches unless they have proper paperwork or are high in status and the witch hunters can't claim they're witches to anyone.

    - FEW Druids are considered witches, and are only considered witches if they practice pagan like rituals or denounce the Goddess.

    - ALMOST NO Bards are considered witches and are often only mistaken or accused of being witches by people misinformed about proper protocalls or have something against them.

All in all, a lot of magic could be considered witchcraft unless practiced very carefully or through the proper channels, as the city is run by magic rather than electricity in most cases. People are generally fearful of witches and thus there is no outcry against witch hunters for being brutal enforcers of their just law. If this still doesn't make sense ask and I'll tell you if it's a witch or not. Most cases if it's a grey area it could go either way, even in the eyes of the law.
