  • a gray tabby could just barely be seen darting through the alleys of the city, the smell of fear still emanating off of his pelt. however, that smell slowly disappeared as the tom realized he was no longer being chased by the dog that was at his tail only minutes before. he stopped to catch his breath.

it felt like he had been on the run forever, even though only a few sunrises had passed since his housecat home had burned to the ground. he wasn't troubled by the event. in fact, he took it as an escape into the outside world he so desperately wanted to be a part of all his life. his owners were... nice, he supposed, but he wasn't grieving the loss. what he was troubled by was the pang of hunger in his stomach and no clear place to take shelter and sleep. eating dry food endlessly all his life wasn't exactly teaching him how to hunt or even dig for scraps. the burns on his hind leg weren't helping. he had relied on instinct for days, and it was only getting him so far.

his body was weary, but after catching his breath, the tom faced his hazy green eyes forward and started walking through more of the maze-like alleyways, trying to find anywhere to take refuge. it wasn't until he was a few pawsteps too far in a certain alley that he scented cat... practically everywhere. he stood still, unsure of whether to run away or investigate. perhaps these cats could help him, just like the cats in his dreams... but somehow, the atmosphere felt uncertain and dangerous. the tom was about to change his mind and leave, until a pang of hunger hit him again and he realized this was his only chance to get help, even if slim. he stood his ground, and decided to call out.

    "...hello?"

  • Unlucky for the strange grey tom, Mary did not take too kindly to strangers. The massive alabaster molly appeared quickly at the scent of an unknown cat, large yet curvaceously feminine frame bolting from the inky shadows. "You're on Bloodclan territory. We don't take too kindly to strangers. Or perhaps you could be Luna's next meal." Her dangerously honeyed voice slithered from between her thin ebony-lined lips. Maybe the resident cannibal could make a quick meal out of such a scrawny tom.

    / welcome! <3

  • //welcome to bloodclan! c:

sharpened daggers clicked along the freezing asphalt, a quickened pace indicating the desire to get back to the comfort of the blood house and warm up the pads of her paws that dared to succumb to the cold. that was the nymphet's only importance until she heard a voice call out to the city. a devilish sweet smile curled on her maw as, like a ravenous wolf to a meal of elk, she changed directions and set her sights on the owner of such a call.

she was a silent, slithering serpent traveling the land suspiciously until she came upon a grey-furred tom qnd unfortunately mary as well. a slight hint of disappointment could be seen in those must hazel hues at not being the first to confront the stranger, but nonetheless, shed get some amusement yet.

coming up beside her ivory bloodclan companion, she settled her gaze on the thin feline, those spectacles taking their time to inspect every inch of him quite open and obviously. "he's barely got any meat on those bones, luna would enjoy someone more... sumptuous" she countered to mary, her velvety voice lined with poison. "the forest clans would appreciate him more given he looks just as weak and helpless as them." isla mused, passing the stranger a smile like she had not just spoke ill of him right to his face.

Making his way over Slowhand came to a halt beside his sister. He wasn't often annoyed but these two were doing it. Fixing a weak glare on them he would grumble, "Don't be rude." He knew that Mary was a guard and he couldn't order her to have manners but Isla wasn't and she was his sister so he could ask her what she could and couldn't do. Turning to face the newcomer Slowhand fixed a smile on his face as he would greet the silver tom. "Hello, may I ask what your name is and what you need?" He knew that acting this way was in their nature as Bloodclanners but damn, chill out, it was just a guy at the border. Not everyone or everything that happened was something that warranted hostility.

Mimi would toddle over - looking cheerful and childish alongside the more imposing figures of mary and her other clan-mates. The albino munchkin sniffed the air - oh no, this blurry cat was burned! "Hey um-" she'd sniff again, still unable to focus her poor eyesight on him "mister, are you okay? Your leg smells awful - did you get burned?" her nose was keen after all, as it had to be when eyesight was nearly unavailable.

"AND ALL I HEAR ARE THOSE FLEETING TWEETING NOTES THEY CARRY AWAY," && reincarnation of FREAK

  • The stench of fear-scent and burning flesh and fur drew Ruth to the scene. Her nose was wrinkled, tufted ears flattened in distaste at the awful smell. Finding a patrol of her Clanmates surrounding a scrawny kittypet, she padded up beside her siblings, bobbed tail lashing as she inspected the stranger. During these cold, snowy months, BloodClan couldn't afford to take in a weak, injured tom that reeked of house cat. However, Ruth would never be able to find it in herself to turn him away. She and her five siblings had come to BloodClan seeking refuge from an abusive past, as weak and helpless as he. Chasing him away without giving him a chance would be almost hypocritical of her.

Stepping forward, Ruth eyed the kittypet from behind dark eyes for a moment before deciding to speak. "You're on BloodClan territory as Mary said," she told him, standing tall and proud. "You're hurt. We have healers who can take care of that, but in return for our services, I'm sure our leader, Caledon, will request that you join our ranks." She should probably give him fair warning of what that entailed. "BloodClan doesn't take pansies. We require hearts of steel. You'll fight and hunt for us, you'll kill if you have to. If you have no qualms doing those things, then I can take you to our healers," she said.

    information

  • the tom was taken aback by all the cats who had seemingly materialized in front of him, barely able to get a word in before another cat appeared and added on to the conversation. despite his fear scent flaring back up, smoke straightened his posture and stood tall, trying to appear more confident. "i'm no one's meal," he started boldly, despite his voice slightly shaking. he avoided mary's and isla's gaze, fearing his strength would fall apart completely. "my home was just burned down and i escaped in the fire. i've been wandering the streets aimlessly since." at the mention of the fire, he winced at the burns on his leg.

smoke turned to ruth. upon studying the she-cat, he felt something stir inside of him. his dreams prodded at the edge of his mind. maybe these cats really could help him, he thought. besides, he had nowhere else to go, and at this rate, he'd die of hunger or his burns would get so bad he wouldn't be able to run from an opponent. he wasn't quite sure what all this bloodclan stuff meant, but if they could help him, he had to take the offer. "i don't really get it, but um..." he faltered slightly, and then quickly corrected his speech, "i'd be willing to help your clan if you could help me with these burns and provide me a place to stay." he glanced at mimi and slowhand, and contemplated that not all these cats had to be as intimidating as mary. maybe he could even make some friends here.
