PERSONALITY maeve is often described as a woman of charm among both her fellow courtiers and the citizens who have met her. she’s quite a playful young lady with a witty tongue and a brilliant mind. along with that, her ability to be individualistic has a certain way of drawing those with less so to her. despite what most might think of maeve due to her status, she is quite a compassionate individual and more willing to give people a chance or in other words is more willing to show people mercy. but, that does not mean the dark haired beauty is so forgiving. when it comes to betrayal, she is a force to be reckoned with and has a hard time completely forgiving or trusting another again. on that note, maeve is kind of a stubborn woman who has a tendency to be a bit impulsive when it comes to standing up for ideas that she deems important despite her seemingly reserved and obedient front she usually displays. that said, it comes as no surprise that maeve is protective of those she cares about or those she views as innocents. she would do most anything for those she cares about even if it means putting her own life on the line. perhaps, some would call it foolish, reckless behavior whereas others would see it as selflessness. regardless, maeve is an individual with good intentions and a hidden strength within.

HISTORY maeve o'brien was born in the kingdom through the union of cecilia naryll and kieran o'brien as the second child (first being her brother kalmin) and the only daughter of the couple. the majority of her childhood was fairly insignificant. she had grown up being taught the ways of being a proper woman of the court as anyone with her family’s status would. due to the presence of her brother, she was unlikely to ever inherit the majority of her parents wealth and was to be married off instead. however, upon the sudden death of her brother when she was thirteen, maeve was named heir of their fortunes instead. at the age of only seventeen, she lost both her parents to illness and, therefore, inherited their wealth and duties.

PERSONALITY Aethon is first and foremost, a man of passion. The activities and goals he is after is what he buries himself in thoroughly, both through thought and action. This leaves little for anything outside of such, and his hobbies, and interactions with people are very limited unless they aid him in his effort to get where he wants. The root he holds with such ideas can make him a dangerous man to go against, because he tries to leave no hole un-mended, and no idea left not thought. Outside of this, Aethon can be a person of patience and calmness, near to the point of seeming cold and closed off. His emotions he holds close to himself, and anything outside of telling people how to accomplish what they are all after, is very far and few between. Those who hear such words from him, either those of worry, or anger, or any emotion stronger then his normal leadership only comes to the ones who he respects and trusts outside of the other rebels eyesight. Those that are able to earn his close to staunch thoughts of respect through that of work ethic, and prowess are often seen as those in higher ranking to the rebellion in form of commanders or his general. Therefore, he near puts a dangerous amount of loyalty and conviction to them and enough power to help him lead the whole operation through thoughts and actions.

To the rest of the rebellion, despite his appearance, Aethon can come off of that of a strict leader, and near someone to be fearful of at times. He takes control with a firm hand that is built off of a base of stories, revenge and an amount of empathy from the tales of what others have told him. He relates to those outside of his higher ups only when he has to to build his cause, and is not afraid to pull rank if he has too. While he is patient, those who prove themselves to be in his range of distaste for some reason or other, especially in harmful ways against the group, he will discipline thoroughly throughout different ways of punishment. Overall, however he is understanding of those who follow him, and while he works to be able to relate to those who he leads, and can prove to be a good, solid pillar and listening ear to talk too with confidential things, both dealing with emotion or histories. He takes grievances from others very seriously, and works to fix them the best he can.

A slightly pained soul, Aethon often reflects on himself what appears to be an older person with to much experience of what poverty and war can bring to a society and person. He uses this to empathize with people to help join their cause, but besides this, tries not to think hard of what ails him. This method of handling his feelings can cause to be dangerous, and to get them out of his head he works endlessly sometimes near to the point of exhaustion. The times this happens can actually be very dangerous. His temper becomes shorter and he resorts to becoming irritable and frustrated if even a small kink happens in his plans. His overreactions or lack of sleep when these rare patches go over often make him have to force himself to break off from work and near shut down and close himself off. During these parts he commonly hands most of the work over to his higher rankings.

Beyond this he prides himself in being that of one of the last few who follows the religion of his original people. He takes his time to ceremonies and prayer very seriously, and his practices often involve multiple things from him. His left hand is very important because it is only used for prayer, and it has not been seen yet before for him not to be wearing a sleeve and glove over this limb and hand. He doesn't tend to take kindly to those being rude to him because of what he believes in, or touching any part of his left hand or arm. He expects some amount of respect from people to leave him be with what he believes in, and those who have also tend to be his higher ups, who have all had separate ceremonies and blessing put over them by Aethon in private.

ABILITIES Despite seeming closed off, Aethon is an extremely passionate man, and will do whatever he has to do to to reach his goals. He especially cares about the people who reach or feels the same about what he is after. This can make him rise to the occasion of leading, and does this well only when it is something he cares for.

APPEARANCE To begin with, Aethon does not seem like that of a leader of a rebellion. Standing at six foot, he is taller then most, but beyond this, that is the most masculine thing about him. He has longer, naturally white hair sporting his ljósálfar blood from his mother, with more delicate visage to match along with longer limbs and slightly pointed features and ears. His skin is pale and doesn't tan or burn easily, and instead stays very much the same, and besides the occasional scar, is rather unblemished. His eyes contrast this heavily, with long eyelashes and a sleek narrowness that have the very human eye color of a deep brown. Debatably, most interesting part of his appearance, however is the strange, near pure white birth mark enveloped on his mostly covered left hand that covers all the skin up to his elbow.

HISTORY Born outside of the kingdom in a town on the outside of Aedile's territory, Aethon was raised in a society of ljósálfars and humans in a highly religious community called Aberuthven. He was born under special circumstances near the dead of night, and was deemed a future high priest by the signature birth mark that enveloped his left hand and was raised in the quiet hallways and white marbled halls of one of the churches. His ljósálfar Cleric, Turri taught him many of the things he knew, mostly in the ways of prayer and magic. He was molded by the thought of future leadership and the ability to help his people with it, along with days of religious practice and prayer.

Aging steadily and preparing to take the job of being the high priest, Aethon's vivid future was cut short by the sudden violent war that erupted by the acts of the neighboring kingdom of Hull. Locked in the church with the current High Priest as soon as the walls where breached, the twenty year old half human struggled against the doors to help fight, but instead of it opening to the faces of the Clerics and Priest, he was met by an invading troop of soldiers. Though making an effort to fight back, and managing to bring one down, both him and the other of Aberuthven where quickly outnumbered and overpowered. However, looking at the body of one of the knights, Aethon observed the seal of Aedile and the League of the Sun on his uniform. Shocked, instead of being killed, he was instead brought to that very place, and was imprisoned in the belly of Aedile.

Throughout his stay of two years in the prison, Aethon befriended a guard who told him the entire story of the war and how it took place with Aedile. While Aethon had understood that Hull was pushing the boundaries of Aberuthven, he had gone on his three month religious leave shortly after in the basement of the church which each High Priest was required to do before taking on their position. He was quick to learn that the other High Priest had asked Aedile to help them with the oncoming war, but was rejected because of his ljósálfar blood. It was later revealed that Aedile had instead flipped to go on the side of Hull. Horrified by this fact, and starting the process of becoming bitter, Aethon escaped by the help of his guard.

From there, he witnessed the acts of poverty and racism in the kingdom. The clipped wings of fairies, the scarred backs of Centaurs, the splinted legs of fauns and the cut fins of mermaids. Hiding his ljósálfar heritage as best as possible, he got a job as a servant in the castle. The treatment and abuse of the mythical staff and the jeers given by human counterparts made him feel ill. At the age of twenty four, he started the thoughts of the rebellion, and by twenty seven, he began to put them to action.

PERSONALITY As a child, Evrett was hot-headed and energetic. Through the years of discipline within the castle, these traits have been repressed. He now acts in a more reserved manner. He knows when to hold his tongue in the presence of those in power, but needs a way to redirect his emotions. Evrett tends to take his emotions out on those who are of his own status or lesser, making him unpopular among others. He acts selfishly, believing he is the only one who is looking after himself. He looks after himself first and foremost, and would be willing to abandon others in a dangerous situation to insure his own safety. Lacking a formal education or training in actions besides domestic ones, he relies on his instincts and intuition. Evrett acts entirely on how his body reacts to a person, situation, or action. APPEARANCE Evrett stands at 6'3, tall and slim. His light weight is mainly due to his bone structure, but he is quite skinny as well. He lacks defined muscle mass due to a lack of strenuous physical activity. His hair is brown and slightly wavy, reaching his shoulders. Evrett's eyes are a dull blue in hue, and more often than not accompanied with bags beneath them. Due to his slight build and features, Evrett can pass as androgynous if desired. Starting at the nape of his neck, feathers trail down to his shoulder blades where two wings sprout from his back. His height accounts for is wingspan of 21ft. The secondary feathers on his wings are cut, leaving his wings uneven and unable to function properly. The brown and white speckling resembles the pattern of an osprey. Bent and out of shape, his wings are unable to lift him off the ground. Being restricted while growing, the bones had developed incorrectly. In attempt to make him appear more humanoid, he wears a corset-like binder which compresses his wings to his back. This doesn't completely cover it however, and he is never seen without a cloak atop his shoulders.

HISTORY Evrett's parents were known opposers of the monarchy. After the radical act of an attempted assassination on members of the elite upper class, they were turned over to the royals to face punishment. Both were to be killed. To insure their son wouldn't be left on the streets, they had given Evrett to the royal family for a life of servitude. Due to this occurring while he was so young, Evrett has little recollection of his parents or what had become of them. Racism was ever present in the royal castle and he was constantly subject to it as a child. Because of his own outbursts, his wings were eventually clipped and he was rendered unable to fly.

NAME aldin verga astonzio

TITLE 'captain astonzio of the elusive stallion' or just 'captain astonzio'

NICKNAMES those who are non-rebels he will introduce himself with his middle name. however, his nicknames include al, captain, and any names people can come up with

AGE 28

RACE an uncommon race called the lacaves [pronounced lahsahves] who are humans who are directly related to dragons due to the ancient blood of dragons running through their veins. some are more powerful than others and are able to take on not one but multiple dragon forms which also classifies them as shapeshifters. they are known to use magic as a form of attack and defense. however, aldin is not as powerful as others. he would be seen as lower ranking with his kind as his powers are not as incredibly strong compared to others. aldin can only take on two dragon forms but they are not too powerful. this form stands at only 8'5 [it will grow as he ages] and can only be transformed into once every two weeks. it is an intimidating beast but aldin is unable to fly for more than 15 minutes [which requires 20 minute breaks in between] and can only breath fire up to 6 ft and he can only stay a dragon for an hour and a half before his body runs out of energy and returns to a human. so, he isn't the most powerful dragon. he can also transform into another dragon form, however it is much weaker and is only slightly taller than a horse. it is wingless so he can not fly in this form and can only breathe fire up to 8 ft. he can stay 2 hours in this form and can transform into it every 3 days. he also has heightened agility, intelligence, strength, stamina, and speed as a human along with night vision that isn't incredibly clear and heightened hearing. a few things of his appearance are also altered due to his race. he has a higher tolerance for extreme heat and cold and slight resistance to some magic but that resistance can wither away if he is continuously attacked with said magic but the resistance can always build itself back up again after a day. while as a human he can form a tail and wings but they're mostly used for intimidation or more defense and attack as he can not yet fly in human form. lacaves also have decelerated aging but it doesn't kick in until they reach 30, so aldin hasn't gotten that power just yet. although the blood of dragons runs through him, aldin is incredibly weak for his kind and usually gets pushed away for being the 'runt'. his only knowledge in magic is with fire and he only knows two spells. being a lacave also gives him the ability to understand and speak almost any language and he is also to speak and understand the language of lacaves which is called dzaic. a language used by lacaves and some dragons. however, as weak as he is now, his powers will become stronger the older he gets along with more training [hopefully his race is okay if more explaining is needed or if you need me to change it that'll be fine]

APPEARANCE aldin has short and messy dark brown hair that is slightly wavy. his skin is tanned after his many days out in the sun and his eyes are both different colors with his right eye being dark brown and his left eye colored hazel. he stands at 6'1 and due to his race, a few things of his appearance are altered such as his canine teeth which are long and sharp. black dragon scales can be found on various parts of his body while his left arm is a complete dragon arm with black scales that extend up to the top of his hand. his index and middle fingers are grey dragon claws while the rest of his fingers are still normal human fingers with a few scales sticking out of them. there are many scars on his body and the most noticeable ones being a claw scar on his right cheek and a rope burn around his neck. aldin's clothing is usually dark in color and not in the best quality. he can be found wearing clothing any other pirates would be found wearing and sometimes wears a black high-collared jacket. he wears a glove to cover up his left hand and his left arm is always wrapped in some kind of cloth or bandage to hide the fact that it is the arm of a dragon

HISTORY aldin has lived quite a life, a life mostly full of crime and violence. a full-blooded lacave, aldin lived in a slightly remote village full of lacaves that was found up north in the snowy mountains. aldin lived with his mother, father, younger brother, and older sister. however, his father would mostly be away from the family as he himself was the captain of a pirate ship and a fairly large crew. his father also had strong negative views against the monarchy, mostly for how he and his race were treated. aldin always looked up to his father and wanted to be just like him. however, aldin had trouble with his own people. he was treated the same way a runt was treated. aldin was disowned by the village and only had his family to back him up. he was the weakest of the village and was behind in a lot of his powers. when another kid his age was able to reach a milestone, aldin would reach that same milestone weeks later. he was bullied by the stronger kids and since his powers and strength weren't as fully formed, aldin didn't really have ways to protect himself. his mother was almost always busy along with his older sister and his younger brother didn't want to ruin his reputation by helping his runt brother, so aldin only really had his father. so, whenever his father was able to return home, aldin always begged his father to help him and his father always did. the two got along well and usually bonded through various types of combat training. his father would also teach his son how to sail as well.

however, just when his life seemed to be turning around, the village was attacked by some greedy people who believed the blood of the lacaves would cure anything. they came in on horseback in the middle of the night and burnt it down. some of the people were captured and locked up on the back of a wagon while others were just killed and their bodies taken so their blood could be taken. in the chaos, his mother, father, and older sister were brutally slaughtered while 10-year-old aldin and his 9-year-old younger brother fled into the incoming blizzard so that they would be harder to find. the two would end up losing each other in the blizzard. after giving up on searching for his sibling, aldin found an empty looking cave and took shelter. however, the cave wasn't completely empty and aldin would find himself at the mercy of a towering beast, a dragon. after realizing that aldin wasn't just a normal human, the dragon began speaking to him and the two would converse for a while before aldin became tired and fell asleep. from there, aldin would be taken care of this dragon named, vallyth. she took care of him until aldin was 14 and he felt strong enough to be on his own.

aldin left the snowy mountains to join in with civilization. for a year he lived on the streets and survived through any means possible. at 15, a pirate captain recruited him and that's where aldin's pirate adventures began. he sailed with the crew for a long time and committed many crimes. just like the crew he sailed with, aldin had a strong hate towards the monarchy, a hate that he had since he was a child. after the captain's first mate was killed, aldin was chosen by the captain to become first mate at 18. aldin worked as a great first mate for quite a while and at 20 he would receive his own ship. after seizing a ship after a battle, the captain assigned aldin as the captain of the newly seized ship and he was given his own crew. after repairing it and renaming the ship to, ' the elusive stallion', he set sail as a newly appointed pirate captain. aldin mostly fought against the military of the monarchy and worked alongside many pirates and rebels. he became slightly famous in some places and managed to travel around quite a lot. as tensions between the monarchy and the rebels grew, aldin knew what side he would be taking and pledged his loyalty to the rebellion, along with his crew. many times was he almost arrested and many times was he also almost executed. he has a rope burn for the many times he was almost hung as evidence to his attempted executions. on top of the battle between the monarchy and the rebels, aldin is sill searching for the younger brother he lost many many years ago. along with that, he continues to fight for his kind to make sure they are to never be slaughtered and treated horribly again[i know it's not brief but i just get really into making backstories]
