Tony laid in Hadley’s bed quietly. It was late, and normally at this time of night he would be in his lab working on some sort of project. A lot of people didn’t know this but he was an insane insomniac. He would just stay up night after night until he eventually passed out from exhaustion. It was due to the constant nightmares he faced. He took medicine but they never really helped. He had gotten better at it when he was with Pepper because she would come downstairs and convince him to come up and having someone there with him while he slept always gave him a sense of security but now that they weren’t together he had settled back into his old routine. Since he wasn’t in his lab he busied himself with reading some book she had lying around. It wasn’t the most interesting but it would do until it was morning time and she eventually woke up. It was some book called Twilight which unironically was also about vampires. He was starting to sense a pattern here. Seems his girl liked vampires. He paused for a moment. Was he really considering her his girl now? They weren’t really dating despite having kissed and her taking her out on a date tomorrow night and they hardly knew each other but he wanted her and he would be damned if someone else tried to take her from him. So yeah. He supposed she was now his girl. The light from his arc was bright enough to provide a light in order for him to read. Typically he didn’t lay without shirts but he needed a light source and he hadn’t wanted to turn on the light switch and possibly wake her up. If he was being honest he wasn’t kind of afraid on how she would react if she saw his arc up close and personal. He knew not everyone minded but it was a bright blue circle in the middle of his chest so it wasn’t like it was unnoticeable. He didn’t like to admit it but it was something he was insecure about but he had no choice but to except it otherwise the shrapnel in his body would pierce his heart and kill him.

Three hours past before he started sensing something was wrong but being the person that he was he always put all his focus on one thing and right now it was reading this ridiculously corny book. Like seriously what kind of creep sneaks into a teenage girl’s room and watched her sleep? And technically wouldn’t this be pedophillia because while Edward looked like a teen he was still hundreds of years old. And if he wasn’t able to control himself around Swan girl than how was he able to not kill her the entire book? And why were they all even still in high school if they were vampires? Couldn’t they just pass as eighteen year olds and not suffer through school all over again? And why has none of them spent their immortal life trying to find a cure for all the world’s disease? Or better yet was he really supposed to believe that they were never caught out in the sunlight? The excuse of checking the weather was bullshit because everyone knows the weather doesn’t listen to anybody’s rules. It just doesn’t make any sense.

When Hadley bolted up in a state of panic Tony jolted slightly. Their gazed locked and he looked at her for a moment with a worried expression on his face, tossing the book back down to the ground. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close and listened to what she had to say. Rubbing her back gently he frowned. Men like Ricky didn’t deserve women like Hadley and yet nice women always seemed to get hurt by these abusers. It wasn’t right. “Shh. It’s okay.” He cooed, lifting his hand to run it through her soft blonde hair. Leaning back he stared down at her with a warm smile and lifted his hand to wipe at her tears. ”I won’t let him hurt you anymore.” He promised.

Hadley whimpered into his chest as he understood what was happening. She heard a book clatter to the ground but she paid it no mind. She wanted to focus on this moment, with Tony. She knew it wouldn't last long. Tony would leave or she would push him away. She squeezed her eyes shut as she finally faced the truth. As kind as he was without his billionaire playboy mask on, she knew she would ruin him. She would hurt him and ruin the goodness in him. And she couldn't imagine doing that, not to Tony. She sniffled, calming down a bit as she laid in Tony's arms. She curled up against his chest, her brows furrowed into a frown. She sighed softly and pushed her negative thoughts about the future with Tony away. She gulped, seeing Ricky's dark gaze every time she closed her eyes. She winced at the memory, her hand moving to her throat. He had choked her many times and had nearly killed her more than once. She felt as if she could still feel the bruises on her skin. She squeezed her eyes shut, silent tears running down her cheeks. She felt her heart skip a beat as Tony pulled her from her own thoughts. His words broke through and made her mask melt from her face. She didn't need to be tough right now. She needed to be held and to be vulnerable. Even if Tony and her were short lived, she wanted to never forget him. She knew she never could forget him. She sniffled, her heart wrenching at the thought that she would have to break his heart. A week from now? A few weeks from now? She had no clue. She had no clue if she was even strong enough to do it. Hadley felt his hands run through her blonde hair and she exhaled slowly. Enjoy the moment, Hadley.

The blonde beauty lifted her chin, looking up at Tony. Her blue eyes were puffy and her pink cheeks were stained with tears. She saw his warm smile and she felt a small smile curl on her lips. He wiped away her tears and she closed her eyes, leaning into his touch. At his promise, her eyes rolled open. She looked back up at him with a shaky breath, her hand on his chest. She felt tears brim her eyes at his promise and she sniffled, looking away. She blinked them away quickly as she laughed softly. She wrapped her arm around his shoulder, her fingers tangling in his cropped hair. She looked up at him with a soft smile, her blue eyes sparkling. "My hero." Hadley said in a soft voice, her thumb running across his cheekbone in a loving way. She smiled softly and ran a hand through his cropped hair.

Tony felt a warm feeling shoot through his body once he managed to get her to laugh. Anything was better than crying in his book, even if she punched him in anger he would think that was better than seeing someone as sweet and pretty as her cry her eyes out over some dick who didn’t deserve her in the first place. Feeling her hand in his hair and one on his cheek he smirked brightly. He liked the idea of being her hero. Here whenever she needed him. Yeah he liked that a lot. ”I mean I prefer dashingly handsome night in shining armour but I’ll take hero.” He joked, wiggling his brows at her. It made sense with the whole metal armor thing you know? He laughed loudly when he felt her hit his chest playfull as if to scold him for what he said. Raising his hands in surrender he smirked down st her, brown eyes joyful. ”What you trying to say I’m not handsome, blondie?” No one had made him have this good of a laugh in a long time and he honestly missed it. He truly felt like he could be happy with this woman and if he had to spend the next ten fucking years proving it to her than he would because he was that much of a resilient son of a bitch. He wasn’t sure if he could ever get married or have kids but whatever she wanted in the future he would do for her. Shaking his head that book popped up into his mind and he bent over the side of the bed for a moment and held it up to her. ”Also what is this? What is with women and liking hot vampires? Is it something about an immortal guy sucking your blood that turns you all on or something?”

Hadley's lips curled into a brighter smile at his comment and she laughed, shaking her head. She sat up, brushing her blonde locks behind her ear and looked at him with sparkling blue eyes. She shoved his chest, unable to stop the smile on her face. A giggle escaped her parted pinks as her eyes shimmered with amusement. She rolled her eyes at his words, feeling pure joy with him. She felt like she could do anything she had ever dreamt of because she had him at her side. She could see them inventing things together that could help save the world and they would truly be a power couple. They needed each other. they were themselves when they were alone. They loved touch and being sweet to one another. It made so much sense to Hadley. She liked Tony. She finally admitted it. She liked Tony Stark. She never thought she'd ever have those words in one sentence. She snickered at his words, shaking her head. "No, I'm not saying that. I think you're handsome. Maybe not dashingly handsome but still." Hadley laughed loudly as Tony pretended to be upset by her words. She giggled, shaking her head as she looked at him with an amused gaze. Her eyebrow raised as Tony leaned over and grabbed her Twilight. She had to stifle a laugh. That had been the book that thumped? She snickered, her lips curling into a smirk. She crawled over to him, their faces inches apart. "Women like the promise of vampires. They won't grow old and wrinkly and the sex won't ever get boring." Hadley said with a simple shrug, in a crawling stance as she glanced down at Tony's lips. She smirked deeply and then moved to playfully bite his neck, a playful growl rolling from her lips. She burst into laughter as Tony shoved her and she fell onto the empty space in the bed beside him. She laughed, her eyes squeezed shut as she held her stomach as it ached from the laughter. She sat up, panting softly as she came down from her giggle fit. She laid on her side, propping herself up on her elbow. Her blue eyes sparkled with amusement and she felt her lips curl into a bright and warm smile.

"Sorry, I couldn't help it." Hadley laughed. She let out a squeal as Tony launched on top of her, her laughter filling the air. She felt his hands on her body but instead of it being a sexual thing, it was just him being goofy. It was a nice change to what she was used to. She wasn't expecting his touch to turn into tickles either. When he moved to tickle her, she let out a surprised scream. Her scream turned to laughter and she wiggled and tried to kick him off. She squirmed and moved to try and tickle him too but he had her held down pretty well.

At her words Tony gawked and held his hand up to his chest as if he was morally offended. Shaking his head he pouted at her with a frown. ”You wound me.” He cried dramatically, clutching at his imaginary shirt with a sigh. ”I mean where have you seen a man more dashingly handsome than me?” And to add to the charm and he lifted his thumb to his chin and smirked that devishly handsome smirk that showed off his shiny pearly white teeth. When she crawled over to talk about the book he just rolled his eyes at her explanation, clutching the book with one hand. That explanation made it even worse! ”So basically they like the idea of having an undead boyfriend just so he would never grow bad at sex? That’s pretty selfish if you ask me.” And very, very strange as well. Don’t even get him started on the Jacob boy. You could just feel how much he liked Bella and Tony didn’t even enjoy the book and he was uncomfortable. ”And the dude doesn’t even want to change Swan girl into a vampire! What are they suppose to do when she starts growing old and starts looking old enough to be his mother? She’s gonna get arrested for being a pedophile!” And what about when she grows old and can’t have sex anymore? Was the vampire dude just suppose to leave her or stay with her until she died? Also not fair. They just needed to learn to stay away from vampires. He had been so deep in rant mood he didn’t even notice her lean forward until she bit his neck harshly with a growl. He jumped in surprised and cried out pushing her away from him and reaching up to run his neck. Jesus fucking Christ that hurt.

Glaring at her Tony spring into action, quickly jumping at her and pinning her to the bed. Only it wasn’t in a suggestive manner, more a playful one. Smirking down at her he put his hands to her side and started to tickle her for all he was worth, listening to her high pitches laughs and shrieks as she tried to kick him off of her but he had a pretty good grip and kept her down. ”Say Tony Stark is the most dashingly handsome man I’ve ever met in my life and I’ll stop.”

Hadley squealed, her hands shoving him off of her. She moved quickly and was now on top of him, straddling his waist. She pushed him down, holding his hands above his head with an arched eyebrow. She leaned forward, whispering in his ear. "Never." She teased and lifted her head, smirking down at him. She laughed and then began to tickle Tony and squealed as he squirmed. They moved back and forth and fought for dominance over the tickle fight. She laughed and squealed, her blue eyes filled with joy. When Tony shoved her back a little too hard, she went flying off the bed with a shriek. She fell on the ground with a loud thud. She laughed loudly, holding her head. "Ow! That was a hate crime against mutantkind." Hadley teased and tossed a pillow at him. She sat up and let him help her back onto the bed and she tackled him, straddling his waist once more. She giggled, her giggles fading as she brushed her locks behind her ear. Her cheeks burned with a blush as Tony sat up, holding her in his lap. She felt her heart thunder against her chest and her blue gaze met his as she let out a shaky breath. Her arms were loosely wrapped around his neck and her body was pressed against his. She felt as if the night stayed still and seemed to anticipate this moment. She tangled her fingers in his hair and her chest rose and fell with soft pants. They stared at each other for a few moments. Their bodies were illuminated by the moonlight and seemed to make Hadley's pale skin glow. She blinked slowly and her thumb ran across his lips. Her eyes flickered back to meet Tony's gaze and she felt the air leave her lungs.

"Kiss me."Her words were breathless but meaningful nonetheless. She had only ever kissed Ricky and she wanted to never stop kissing Tony. His lips seemed to perfectly melt with hers and the way she felt just being in his arms was something she never knew could exist. When Tony listened to her command, she let her eyes close. She kissed him back, her fingers tangled in his hair. She pressed her chest against his as she kissed him with passion, deepening the kiss. Her kiss wasn't hungry. It wasn't lustful. It was just passionate and her happiness was palpable. She felt her body come alive at his touch and his kiss, feeling his hands on her back. She gasped softly, breaking the kiss for a moment to catch her breath. But then, her lips collided with his once more and she felt the blush burn her cheeks. She smiled in the kiss, feeling her heart thunder against her chest.

It had taken a while but Hadley had finally fell back asleep with no nightmares. It had taken some hot chocolate, a few makeout sessions, and Tony agreeing to watch the movie to that stupid vampire book because he knew it would help her feel better about the whole situation. The whole time he just rolled his eyes and cringed at almost every scene while Hadley seemed to be eating it up. He would never understand women and their logic. Ever. It was like trying to build a complicated machine without any blueprints or previous idea. Just a disaster. Anyway back to now. Being the ultimate gentleman that he was he took it upon himself to order them both some breakfast from the fancy restaurant up the street. Only the best for his blondie. It was a large meal, anything you could expect to her and more. Pancakes, waffles, juice, toast, eggs, fruits, even condiments. He had set it all up on the dining room table for when she eventually cane out from her room. He could only hope that she woke before it all got disgustingly cold. Most foods weren’t as good when they were reheated. Especially fries. He shivered at the thought of reheated fries. They were just so soggy afterwards and it wasn’t the same. He hoped she liked all of this stuff otherwise he’d have to either eat it all himself or give it to a shelter. Probably the later because not even he had an appetite this big and after the events from yesterday he was sure they could use some more resources that he could provide.

As he was putting the bagels down onto the table he heard soft foot steps coming his way and realized someone was up. He had even taken the liberty of feeding Walter for Hadley so she would be able to just go straight into eating. Turning around he clasped his hands out in front of him with a cheeky smile. ”Morning blondie.” He said stepping off to the side so she could get a good look at the breakfast set out for them both. Walking over to the head of the table he gestured for her to follow. ”I really hope you aren’t one of those people who skips out on breakfast. How could you not eat breakfast? Especially eggs benedicts. They were so delicious and creamy and good.

Hadley slept peacefully, the sunlight shining down on her curvy body. Her silky sheets covered her lower body and as she laid on her side, she made a perfect curvy silhouette. The blonde's pink lips were parted as she dreamed, a small smile on her lips. She lay on her side, facing the window as the sunlight kissed her cheeks and her eyelashes. She hummed as she slept, feeling at peace. In her dream, she ran through a field filled with wildflowers. She wore a white dress that danced in the wind and covered her feet as she ran on the tips of her toes. Her blonde curls cascaded down her back and were filled with flowers. Her curls bounced as she ran and she looked behind her, her laughs seeming to echo through the blue sky. She saw a child behind her, with dark chocolate brown hair. He ran through the field, no older than four. He called out to Hadley, calling her Momma. His eyes were blue-green and had so much depth behind them, as if he knew how much he would mean to the blonde beauty. Hadley squealed and took the boy into her arms as he ran to her. They both twirled and giggled. That's when Hadley woke. Her eyes fell open and she blinked, looking up as the sunlight shined down on her. She smiled as she thought of her dream, a soft hand on her stomach. She knew it wouldn't happen soon or even years from now but she wanted children. She always had. She brushed her blonde curls behind her ears as she sat up, tossing the blankets from her body. She looked behind her, seeing Tony wasn't in bed next to her. She frowned and stood. She moved to grab some clothes from her pajama drawer, feeling all sweaty in the ones she was wearing. She changed into an oversized Harry Potter shirt and some blue shorts that perfectly curved right under her bum. She ran a hand through her curls and walked out of her room. She yawned, her foot steps soft and almost silent. She lifted her head, her blue eyes widening as she saw the spread Tony had presumably prepared for her. She laughed softly and looked at him with a bright smile. She giggled at his little nickname for her and she approached him, her eyes bewildered. She opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. She giggled sweetly at his words. She had never had anything like this. Being homeless, she rarely ever ate. She never took more than what she knew would get her full and she gave the rest to others. This? This made her heart race.

Hadley stood beside Tony, baffled by all of this. She thought it was so sweet of Tony to do something like this. She laughed softly and brushed her hair to the side, feeling the tears brim her eyes. This was all so overwhelming. She had never had someone who actually cared about her. This was all so new to her. She sniffled and without warning, reached over and hugged Tony. She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face in his shirt. She giggled softly against the fabric as she sniffled. "Thank you. I've never had anything like this."

Tony has expected a lot of things like for her to make some sort of snarky joke, complain that she didn’t eat breakfast, or even head straight to the table and start diving into the food. He wouldn’t have ever expected her to run up and hug him like this and for a moment he wasn’t entirely sure what he should do. After a few moments of standing stiffly he relaxed and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and hugged her tightly. He listened to her words and chuckled lowly. ”This is nothing really.” This didn’t even come close to some of the things he was able to do. This is just what he could accomplish with such short notice and even then it was perfection. For them at least. Had he more time to prepared they probably would have been served breakfast in bed, would have a much larger variety of food to eat and might even have had a few extra little details played in there as well. He was the Tony Stark after all. Pulling back he smiled down at her. It was kind and good natured. Guiding her over to the table he pulled a chair out for her and waited for her to sit before pushing it back in. Running his hands through his hair he went to sit down himself. ”Dig in.”

Hadley looked up at Tony as he spoke, saying all of this was nothing really. She smiled softly and caressed his cheek, her eyes sparkling in the morning light. "It's not nothing to me, Tony. I've had nothing before. Nothing but the clothes on my back. Not having any idea if I would die from starvation or from the cold. So let me thank you. I've never had someone care about me." Hadley spoke softly and leaned upward, kissing his cheek with a soft smile. She let him guide her to her seat and she sat down, pulling her blonde locks to the side. She smiled softly, looking at all of the food. She looked across the table to Tony and watched him take a seat. She had a softness to her gaze, almost lovingly gazing at Tony. Hadley giggled at his words and she crossed one leg over the other. She looked around, not sure what to eat first. She reached for a piece of toast and the grape jelly. She set both on her plate and then snagged some eggs and a pancake. She smeared some grape jelly on her toast and took a bite. She groaned, her eyes rolling closed with happiness. She chewed and swallowed the toast, sighing happily. She finished the toast fairly quickly and in a few minutes, it seemed she had eaten a little bit of everything. She popped a blueberry into her mouth, smiling. They were her favorite fruit after all.

"So why all of this? Is this just meant to impress me?" Hadley teased as she raised an eyebrow at Tony. Her lips curled from a smirk into a genuine smile and she flipped her hair over her shoulder. Walter rubbed up against her leg and Hadley glanced down, giving him a small cube of ham. She looked back up at Tony and blinked, a small yet breathtaking smile on her face.

  • Adelaide Naomi Winston

The last two months had been...not so pleasant for Adelaide in a more tame sense. After she kicked Steve out after a great night of sex, like best she ever had type sex, she found out she was pregnant. Of course at first she didn’t think it was true, typically she was more careful than that but then looking back at that night she had realized that in their rush and haze she had forgotten to tell Steve that she wasn’t on birth control, and that he would have needed to wear a condom. At first she wasn’t sure how to feel. Adelaide never thought about having kids before. She didn’t even think about having a stable relationship so a kid has definitely never been brought up. She hadn’t been sure what to do. Getting an abortion was a absolute no, and she had debated just having the kid and then giving them up for adoption but she didn’t really like that idea either. The more she had thought about it the more she began to like the idea of having a child. Someone she could keep around, raise, and know would always love her. When you spent so many years alone like Adelaide has done the idea kind of warms your heart. One might think that after she found out she immediately went to tell Steve but that was the furthest thing from the truth. In fact she hadn’t planned on ever telling him. Maybe a bit rude but she felt as if this was her responsibility. It wasn’t Steve’s fault that she hadn’t warned him that he could get her pregnant and she didn’t want to show up out of nowhere after kicking him out the way she did and dropping a baby bomb on him. The man had just gotten out of the ice, no way did he want to be held down by a child he might not even be ready for. It just wasn’t a risk she has been willing to take. So she decided she would just take care of the kid herself, leave New York eventually when her stomach started getting to big to hide from him. It was honestly a bit exhausting having to avoid him all the time, especially since they were on the same team but she thought it necessary. She didn’t want to admit it but she missed him. His smile, his sparkling blue eyes that seemed to read her like a book, his kind nature, the way he had held her, just him in general. Anyway, back to reality. She was, well had been, two months along before she had a miscarriage. Adelaide wasn’t exactly sure what happened. She had been on a mission for a week and today had gotten thrown out of a window. She could only assume the force of the impact was what caused it. At first she had experienced some pain, a bit of bleeding but with her self healing that ended rather quickly as if it had never happened. She had immediately called her doctor once she got back home and went to go talk to her. Turns out she had definitely had a miscarriage no doubt about it, but not only that but the doctor told her that there was a chance she may never have a kid again and that if she were to get pregnant again she would need to take it so easy and basically do no physicallly labor her entire pregnancy. Well, how does one deal with that exactly? She cried a few tears, went home discarded all of her clothing except for her bra and underwear and bunched under some covers with a bottle of wine. She just spent a while watching some corny romance movies, probably not the best idea but she wasn’t really thinking right now. She had been halfway through her third movie when she had a loud and angry pounding against her door. “Jesus fucking Christ.” She hissed out, not in the mood for whoever it was. Reaching forward she grabbed her remote and turned off her tv. When the banging continued her annoyance shot up. “Alright I’m coming, calm your tits!” Whoever it was caught her at a bad time and then pounding like this wasn’t helping. Kicking her covers off of her curvy body she stood. Considering she couldn’t just go and answer the door in her bra and panties, she pulled open a clothes drawer and dug around before grabbing a large white t-shirt that was definitely not hers. It must have been from an old lay because she hadn’t slept with anyone these last two months. Shrugging it on she started buttoning it up as she walked. It didn’t provide the best coverage but she figured it would have to do since she would rather this person possibly catch a peak of her underwear rather than break down her front door. Unlocking her door she practically threw it open. Of course she hadn’t expected to see a pissed off Steve standing outside her door. Before she could say anything he stormed in without a word. “Oh yes please do just storm into my house uninvited.” The black haired beauty commented sarcastically, closing the door and turning to look at him with a pissed off glare. She was no where near in the mood for this kind of shit. “Care to explain why you’re banging on my door like a fucking mad man at ten o clock at night? Because other wise you can gladly leave.” She thought he would have gotten the message two months ago but she would be more than willing to put it into better terms if he didn’t stop playing with her. The good thing about this was that she didn’t have to worry about some random man or woman seeing her half naked since it was just Steve and he had already seen everything there was to show off.

Hadley felt as if she had been in some kind of dream the past two months. She felt as if she was walking on clouds when she was with Tony. He made her smile and laugh when she didn't think she could. He makes her feel beautiful and loved, which is something Hadley had never experienced. The blonde woman practically lived with Tony at this point, her and Walter. She would cook him breakfast sometimes and he would "cook" her breakfast the other times. They went on these extravagant dates and he liked to show her off. The public knew she was Tony's love interest but the question is, was she the only one? She felt nervous about opening her heart up to him still. She didn't want to get hurt again and she knew his reputation. She didn't want her own feelings to get in the way of her rational thinking. Hadley spent most of her time with Tony or watching him work. She got back into drawing, which was a passion of hers. She would sketch Tony all the time, especially when he was working. He would frown when he was really concentrating and Hadley found it adorable. Hadley felt as if she could have a very long and happy future with Tony. The only problem, did Tony feel the same way? She liked to tease him, she hadn't had sex with him yet. She wanted to see how long he was willing to wait for her before or if he went to another woman for sex. She hoped he passed her test because she would be completely heartbroken if Tony went off with another woman. She wanted to genuinely be with him but her past hurt and pain made her too scared to even try. Hadley wanted this to be her last relationship and if this didn't work out, she would never fall in love again. Hadley had been on a few missions in these past two months but they were small ones where she was only gone for a day or two. Tony had done the same thing. They both missed each other too much to do extravagant missions. Besides, Steve seemed keen on taking whatever mission took him the furthest away. She knew he was still hurting over Adelaide and she wanted to provide support anyway she could. She would always check on Steve and make sure he was still alive. She would let him rant to her for hours and just listened. She felt as if they had a very strong bond, like brother and sister. They knew it would never be romantic for either of them and they were perfectly fine with that.

Hadley sat on the fire escape ladder on the outside of her apartment, watching the sun go down. She had returned home because she and Tony had a date planned for tonight and she wanted her look to be a surprise. She smiled softly at the thought. She loved all of their dates and she seemed to fall for him more and more every day. She brushed her curls over her shoulder and pushed herself off of the ladder and climbed back into her apartment. She hummed as she walked into her bedroom, a smile on her lips. She couldn't wait to dance with Tony, to feel his hands on her hips. To kiss his lips. Everything and anything. Hadley giggled softly and snatched her phone off of her bed, texting Tony quickly. Getting dressed rn. what time is the car supposed to be here? Hadley texted and then skipped into her bathroom. She began to brush through her hair, trying to decide how to wear her hair. She decided to simply curl it and grabbed her curling iron, plugging it in. She began to curl her hair as she hummed a song that was stuck in her head. Walter hopped on her bed and meowed at his owner. Hadley smiled at her feline and blew him a kiss. She finished her hair in about thirty minutes and then checked her phone. Still no text from Tony. She pursed her lips and shrugged her shoulders. She decided to do her makeup next and brought out all that she needed, including the brushes and sponges. She did her makeup within forty five minutes and she checked the time. 9:30 pm. Well, maybe the makeup took a little longer than forty five minutes. Hadley winced and hurried over to her closet, picking out the outfit she had decided on hours ago. She slipped it on and inspected herself in the mirror, fluffing out her hair. She smiled at her reflection and then put on some win red lipstick before grabbing her black clutch. She threw her keys, ID, cards, and phone inside. She heard a car door shut and she peeked out her window, seeing Tony and the car and the driver. Hadley squealed and ruffled Walter's grey fur and saying her goodbyes to him before rushing out of her apartment, locking the door. She sauntered down the stairs to the elevator. She pushed the first floor button, brushing her hair over her shoulder. She stepped out of the elevator once it reached the bottom and she smiled widely as she saw Tony patiently waiting for her. Luckily, he was looking the other way. Hadley didn't dress up like this most days. She wore shorts and loose t-shirts and sundresses most days. She hardly ever wore heels and did her makeup and hair. But when she did, she was going to shock people.

The driver saw Hadley before Tony did and his eyes widened. Hadley smirked at the attention she got as she sauntered through the lobby, heading straight for Tony. She smiled widely and tapped his shoulder. He turned and his eyes widened and she swore, he kinda froze. Hadley giggled and spun around for him, pursing her lips. "So? What do you think?" Hadley asked happily.

Steven " Steve " Grant Rogers

    Thirty | Super Serum | Masculine ♂ | Captain America | Single

Steve had heard the conversation that Adelaide had had with her doctor during their mission. At first, the news hadn't hit him. He figured he had heard wrong but seeing the blood and the silent mourning on her face, he could tell. She had had a miscarriage. And he remembered that night vividly in his head. He hadn't used a condom and he had came inside of her. So if she hadn't been with anyone else, that baby had been his. Steve was not the drinking type. But with this news, he couldn't help it. He went home and bandaged himself up. He had gotten flashbacks to that night, how loved he had felt in that moment. Adelaide was unlike any other woman he had ever seen and he couldn't get her out of his head, those entire two months. He would pray that he would run into her in some cafe like a romance movie. He wanted Adelaide, he always had. He didn't have eyes for anyone else. She had taken his virginity. It was true. He figured he could see a very meaningful relationship between the two of them. But when she kicked him out, it broke his heart. He went to bed crying that night. Captain America rarely ever cried but when he did, it was from true heartbreak. Adelaide had been the first woman since Peggy that he had been interested in. Granted, he had been in ice for so many years. But he felt something for Adelaide he had never felt for Peggy. So her rejecting him after he gave his heart and body to her, broke him. He spent the next two months going on various missions all over the world, trying to get the vixen out of his mind. But, nothing worked. He dreamed about her. Her smile, her laugh, her hair, her scent. Every bit of her. He felt as if he was being haunted by the ghost of what could have been. He had taken out his anger and heartbreak out on the villains in his missions. His friends worried for him, especially Hadley. The two had been especially close these past two months. They both agreed that nothing but friendship would come from their relationship. They were more like brother and sister. She understood him and she didn't judge him. It was hard to see her without seeing Tony these days. She constantly seemed to be with the billionaire, which made Steve nervous. He felt as if Hadley deserved better. But he would respect her relationship as long as Tony didn't hurt her.

Steve felt like he couldn't go to Hadley with the news. She had a date that night with Tony and he didn't want to disturb her night. So he went to the liquor store by his apartment. He grabbed a bottle of scotch and drank nearly half of it alone. He cried and broke things and screamed. He had had a child. He could have had a child with Adelaide. But some bad guy threw her out of a window and he lost that future with her. Steve screamed and clenched his fist around his scotch glass. He shattered the glass and his palm began bleeding with pieces of glass stuck inside of his skin. He cried and fell to the ground, leaning his head against the wall. He could've had a son. Or a daughter. Would they have had Addie's hair, or his? If they had Adelaide's eyes, he would be doomed and have to keep them from dating until they were thirty. Steve let out a sob, his head sinking to rest between his legs. He ran a hand through his hair as the rain began to pound against his window. He looked up, at his front door. He had to speak to Adelaide. Just once more. He stood and grabbed a simple black jacket and pulled up the hood. He slipped on some boots and jogged out of his building. He ran down the street, each step pushing him harder and harder. He panted softly, blood all over his palm as it mixes in with the rain. He ran toward her apartment building, his eyes red and puffy and filled with sorrow. He groaned as he came to her apartment building, stepping inside. He got some strange looks but he ducked his head and ran up the stairs. He had the path to her apartment memorized, it was all imprinted in his mind from that night. He came up to her apartment door, his bottom lip quivering. He pounded his fist on the front door, his blue eyes filling with hurt. He felt the anger boil up inside of him but the anger wasn't at her. The anger was at the pain of losing his child. With a woman he could easily see himself loving. Steve pounded loudly on the door more, panting. When she swung the door open, he wanted to elope her into a hug right then. But then her harsh words brought him back to reality. The reality that he had found out that he was going to have a child the same day he lost said child. His heart was beyond broken.

He stormed into her apartment, brushing past her. He ignored her harsh words and shakily exhaled, fury and sorrow drowning in his blue eyes. When she demanded an explanation, the sorrow hit him all at once. He spun around, tears running down his cheeks. "How could you not tell me about the baby, Addie? I could've had a son, he would be so beautiful. Or a daughter, if she looked anything like you, I would've had my hands full." Steve let out a soft laugh before the laugh turned into a sob. He grabbed Adelaide, his blue eyes pleading. "Were you afraid that I wouldn't want the baby? Addie, all I've ever wanted was a family." Steve said with a shaky break as he brushed the hair from her face. He groaned and lowered his head, his mourning making this that much harder. He broke and fell to his knees in front of the woman he loved. He wrapped his arms around her waist and sobbed into her stomach. "I'm so sorry. I should've been here sooner. I got so consumed with the fact that you didn't tell me... I am so sorry but it is not your fault, Addie." Steve cried as he held onto her.

  • Adelaide Naomi Winston

Twenty Four | Shield Matter Manipulation | Feminine ♀| Kitsune | Single

Adelaide wasn’t sure what she had been expecting when Steve randomly showed up again. The biggest conclusion she had reached was that more than likely he was looking to hook up again for a good time, but when he turned back to her and his face was covered in tears while he asked why she hadn’t told him about the baby she realized how wrong she was. The young beauty didn’t even take the time to think about how he even knew, her hands flying to her stomach and her eyes blinking rapidly to try and stop her own tears from falling down her face. Adelaide wasn’t a crier. She couldn’t even remember the last time she had cried over something. But this, losing a child was one of the worst things she could ever imagine for herself. The baby had hardly even been a baby, still only practically a fetus and no were near the size of her palm but they had still been hers, her baby and she lost it before she could even know what the gender was. She hadn’t even gotten the chance to think of any names. The woman didn’t even get a chance to explain herself before Steve grabbed ahold of her and started going on asking her if she thought that he wouldn’t want a child and that she was wrong and that having a family was everything to him. He was right though, that’s exactly what she thought. Adelaide thought he wasn’t going to be ready to be a dad, or that he may not even think it was his the way she kicked him out.

Seeing Steve like this broke something inside of Adelaide. A part of her was starting to believe that he actually did care for her. Otherwise why would he be here at ten o clock at night crying about a child he only just found out about today? The other part still kept her guard up somewhat, too afraid that even though he seemed to care about the child they could have had that didn’t mean he wanted a relationship with her at all. Still, seeing him on his knees like this crying and apologizing like it was his fault he didn’t know about their baby warmed her bitchy heart. It hurt her knowing she had caused this. She felt responsible for their child’s death. If she would have just stayed home and hadn’t been more worried about Steve finding out rather than the baby’s health she wouldn’t have been thrown out a window and would still be pregnant right now. It was crazy how one small decision could impact your entire life. Even if she did have kids in the future she would never be able to move on from this fully knowing that there was someone missing that should have been there. The best way she knew to describe it was that feeling when you go looking through your closet for something you sworn you had only for it to no longer be there like it should have been.

Adelaide had never been very big at being emotional and confrontational so a part of her wasn’t sure what to do right now. Instead she started trying to find a way to change the subject. Just long enough for her to think and get her mind back together like it normally was. That was when she felt something pricking her and something wet pressing against her back. Pulling away slightly, eyebrows knitted deep into a frown she looked down behind her and saw that one of Steve’s hand was covered in blood and glass. Letting out a sigh she turned her attention back and grasped the sides of the blonde’s face softly until he looked up at her. “Stevie, you have got to stop getting glass stuck in you. Come on, let me fix it up.“ Was it a fool’s way out? Maybe but it was true that he needed his hand to be looked at and it would also give her time to think a bit before they actually had a conversation about their now deceased baby.

Leading him to the bathroom she felt a sense of deja vu wash over her. Just two months ago they had had sex in her shower so it was a bit weird having him back in that same room when she had told herself that that would be the first and last time she would ever sleep with America’s golden boy. Just like last time she made him sit down on the small bench by her counter while she searched through the medicine cabinet for her medical kit. Once she found it she immediately went straight to work on his hand. She wasn’t even sure if she wanted to know why his hand was covered in glass and why he came to her instead of going to the hospital and taking care of his hand first before it got worse. It seemed recently fresh though so it couldn’t have happened more than an hour or so ago. Licking her lips she made herself busy by focusing just on getting all the glass out instead of focusing on him and his beautiful face and puppy dog eyes. Once all the glass was successfully out of his hand she dropped the tweezers she had used in the sink for her to wash off later and then grabbed a roll of bandages and used them to cover his hand up. With the enhanced healing he would be fine. The cuts weren’t prominent enough to need stitches so he would be good within a few hours. “There good as new.“ She mused, standing up and rushing her hands off.

    Anthony ‘Tony’ Edward Stark

Thirty Eight | His Suit | Masculine ♂| Iron Man | Single

The last two months had been absolutely surreal for Tony. It was like he was living in some alternate dimension or something. The way Hadley made him feel was unreal. The relationship he had had with Pepper was amazing and he would always cherish the woman for the love and support she had given Tony when they were together and maybe if Hadley hadn’t come along he may have tried to win her over again and try again with their relationship but there was just something different about how he felt with Hadley. He couldn’t quite explain it. She made him want to be more than better, she made him want to be great. There wasn’t a day that didn’t go by where they weren’t together, the blonde practically lived in his house now despite them not even officially dating, Hadley wanted to take things slow which he could and would respect. Even though they weren’t exactly a couple, yet, they still went on big fancy dates that Tony put together and planned for them. The public knew about them and considered her his primary love interest at the moment which he found hilarious considering he wasn’t seeing any other woman beside Hadley. Most people didn’t know but Tony was loyal to a fault, even Pepper would vouch for that. When he was with someone that was it. There was no secret mistress lurking in the back ground, only the one girl who he was openly showing off to the world. Actually no showing off made her seem as if she was just some prize. While she was in fact a gift from above she was not just some prize. He was letting the world know that he was officially quote on quote taken despite them not officially being ‘together’ together. A part of him thought it was a bit silly but looking back on his past he could see where she was coming from on not wanting to be official yet and take their time. The one thing about the press that annoyed him was the constant reference to them alluding that Hadley was nothing more than a ‘sugar baby’ which was completely ridiculous. Yes, Tony’s thirteen years older than Hadley but that was no where near old enough to be her father and even then they were both consenting adults. Hadley wasn’t after his money. Tony was a lot of things but stupid was not one of them and one thing he was good at was smelling a gold digger from a mile away. They usually just did something that gave them away and made them look idiotic. Of course there was nothing wrong with wanting to be with someone who’s successfully, after all you should never seek someone who in the long run can’t help you out in times of need but you shouldn’t be with someone specifically because they have money. That was fucked up.

Tony sat in one of his many limos in the way to Hadley’s apartment for yet another date. This one was going to be a bit more laid back though. They were just going to head to a club not to far from where she lived and have a good time dancing and drinking the night away and head back to his place for dinner. Maybe more depending on Hadley’s mood. Like he said he would wait as long as he needed to before they had sex but a makeout session never hurt anybody. The thought made him chuckle. Anyone with half a brain could see how gorgeous Hadley was and he would be damned if anyone tried taking her from him. They may not be dating yet but it was obvious they were going to in the near future and he wouldn’t let anyone come in and try to snatch her up from him.

When they got to her apartment building Tony gave himself a quick once over. Some may call him cocky but come on he obviously had a right to brag. Stepping out of the limo he stood in front of If and patiently waited. He knew there was no need to text Hadley and let her know he was outside, the limo showing up creates enough commotion that she would either look outside and see or hear people talking about it. Looking off to the side he focused his attention on the scenery. New York really was a beautiful place to live in if you chose the right cities and spots. Even living somewhere as busy as New York City could be beautiful despite the over population and crowds of people. It got annoying sometimes but you lived with it. When he felt a hand tapping his shoulder his head turned and found Hadley standing in front of him looking..absolutely stunning. He looked her once and down, lifting his hand to tilt his sunglasses to get a proper look at his girl. Now Tony was an athiest but if he did believe in god he would probably pray to him and thank him for getting such an amazing woman to be interested in him. Chuckling he wrapped an arm around her waist and tugged her close. “I think that you’re going to be the death of me, babe. But hey at least I’ll die happy.“ He joked with a smirk, pulling open the car door and ushering her in before climbing in himself.

The blonde goddess smiled ear to ear at Tony's words and her heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She blushed softly and ducked her head a bit, peeking at Tony through her bangs. Feeling his arm snake around her waist, she felt as if nothing in the world could hurt her. She looked up at him, a small smile on her lips. Time seemed to stand still for a moment and she studied his features, counting herself as lucky. His stubble on his would rub against her cheeks when they cuddled or when they made out. Hadley bit her bottom lip at the thought of making out with Tony. He knew exactly what he was doing and where to kiss her and touch her to make her body come alive. It was so hard not to have sex with him, if she was being honest. But, Tony was only her second relationship. Ever. She felt silly saying that but it was true. She couldn't handle the heartbreak if he changed his mind and chose someone else. And Hadley had to admit, the press got annoying. They called her a Sugar Baby. She hated when Tony spent money on her because she could never return the favor in such a grand way. She wanted to show him how much she cared for him but her wallet disagreed. Luckily, Tony appreciated the little gifts she gave him. She made him gifts as well. She loved seeing the genuine joy on his face when she gave him a gift. She wanted him to special like that every day. She climbed into the limo, adjusting her body suit and her breasts squeezed against the material. It was meant to be revealing in that area and Hadley loved it because that meant she could tease Tony. She smirked at the thought. She loved how attracted Tony was to her and seemed as if he could never keep his hands off of her. She didn't mind. She adored the attention from him. If she was being honest, she adored sex. She wold have sex every day for the rest of her life if she could. She loved the intimacy and the pleasure. Just the thought of having sex with Tony sent shivers down her spine. Hadley looked over at Tony as he climbed into the limo and she smiled at him. She set her clutch beside her and she looked at him, her eyes sparkling with hunger. His outfit hugged his body in just the right way and it nearly made her lick her lips. Hadley blinked as the driver climbed in and began driving toward the club. Hadley smiled at the fact that the window was closed so that she and Tony had some privacy. Hadley looked up at Tony, running her fingers through his hair with a small smirk. "You look good enough to eat, baby." Hadley smirked as her blue gaze met Tony's. She giggled when he tried to lean in and she pushed her finger onto his lips. "I don't want to ruin my lipstick and get it all over you before we even get to our date." Hadley said with a small snicker. She saw his pout and she giggled, kissing his cheek. She looked up at him, adoration clear in her blue eyes. She really adored Tony. She could see herself loving him. It wouldn't be that hard for her. Tony was honestly the best thing to happen to her. Besides Walter, of course.

Hadley sighed happily and leaned her head against his shoulder. She looked out the window, watching the city fly by. All the bright colors and how the city came alive at night. She adored New York. She had lived here ever since she ran away from the facility. She felt as if it was her home. But now, she was realizing that people can be homes too. She grabbed Tony's hand and linked their fingers together and held his hand. She smiled softly. She realized Tony was her home. He always would be, even if he chose someone else. Those feelings, they don't just go away. And she felt as if what she had with Tony was something she would only get once in a lifetime. And she wasn't about to let him go. She knew in the future she would want to live out of the city, in a home to build a family. She wanted a few kids, nothing too crazy. Maybe a small farm with some farm animals. She needed to have some dogs and more cats. She would really love to have this future with Tony, in fact, she felt as if she needed it. Hadley blinked and looked up as they arrived at the club. She grabbed her clutch and released Tony's hand as he climbed out of the limo. When he held his hand out to her, she couldn't help but smile. She climbed out with his help and almost instantly, the paparazzi started flashing pictures and yelling at them. Hadley huffed and winced at the bright flashes. Tony must have noticed because he moved to have her walk in front of him as they hurried inside the club. Hadley sighed with relief once they were inside and she almost rushed over to the bar. She ordered two shots of tequila and she took them quickly. She smiled over at Tony and then grabbed his hand, moving her hips to the music. She pulled him onto the dance floor and turned to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck and smiling up at him. She felt truly blissful to just be dancing and having fun with the man of her dreams.

Steven " Steve " Grant Rogers

    Thirty | Super Serum | Masculine ♂ | Captain America | Single

Steve was completely broken. He had always wanted a family. He didn't have any family left. His mother had died when he was young and his father had died while he was in the ice. His best friend, who he considered to be a brother, was gone as well. He felt so alone and isolated. Adelaide was the only one who made him feel as if he wasn't alone. He felt as if his entire world belonged to her, as well as his heart and soul. He wanted a family with her, he wished this hadn't happened. He knew they weren't speaking but he would have done anything for Adelaide to keep the baby and for her not to blame herself for the miscarriage. Which he could tell she was. Steve was sobbing, his entire body shaking from the stress and loss. The alcohol in his system hit him all at once and he felt dizzy. He groaned and sank further onto his knees, his hands gently gripping her hips. When she grabbed his face and leaned it upward to look at her, he sniffled. His eyes were red and puffy. And filled with mournful sorrow. He swallowed thickly and his eyes seemed to glaze over. He felt nothing but pain. He wanted to drink and drink and drink until he just couldn't feel this pain anymore. His brows furrowed into a frown as she mentioned fixing his hand up. With all the distress, he had almost forgotten the glass in his hand. He blinked, glancing down at his bleeding hand. He clenched his jaw, wanting to clench his hand into a fist to push the glass deeper. He wanted to punish himself. This was all his fault. All the pain Adelaide was feeling, it destroyed him. He could handle the pain he was feeling, he'd have a silent battle with himself. But knowing his decisions hurt the woman he loves? He winced. He didn't know how he could ever live with that thought. Steve clenched his jaw harder and followed her to the bathroom. He sat down on the bench, same as last time. He nearly winced at the memory. That night had meant everything to him. He truly saw a future with Adelaide. But she had been so hurt by past experiences, she refused to let him in. The thought pained him but he understood.

Steve looked at his reflection and saw how pitiful he looked. His hair was a mess and his hoodie was soaking wet. His eyes were red and puffy and his cheeks were splotchy and stained with tears. Dark circles were under his eyes and his lips were cut from the fight he had been in earlier today. He looked away from his reflection quickly, disgusted by what he saw. He didn't even wince as Adelaide fixed his hand and got the glass out. He felt nothing. He felt nothing physically, at least. He had gone numb. The only thing he could feel was guilt and loss. He blinked and leaned his head against the wall, his eyes filled with the pain he silently struggled with. He wanted to scream and cry and throw things and seek revenge on the world for taking away Addie's baby. His baby. Their baby. But he knew that wasn't right. He knew there was only one person to blame. The man that shoved Adelaide out of a window. Steve clenched his jaw. The thought occurred to him to hunt the man down and kill him himself. Steve knew he would become a monster after that but he didn't care. The monster needed to pay. Steve looked up at Adelaide as she spoke, saying he was all fixed up. He smiled weakly at her, feeling as if just the sight of her could pull him out of any sorrow he was feeling. "Thank you, Addie." Steve said in a hushed voice. Not a moment passed before he began sobbing again. He cursed himself for being the one falling apart when he was supposed to be there for Adelaide but it overwhelmed him. His hands found his hair and he tangled his hands in his wet hair. "I swear, I'm gonna kill him for taking our baby away." Steve said angrily before going right back to sobbing, his body shaking with every sob.

When Steve said that he was going to kill the man that pushed her out of the window and made her lose the baby Adelaide frowned softly. She knew that if Steve did that than he would never be the same. Adelaide knew this and she couldn’t let him do something like that. She cared about him too much even if she didn’t want to admit it out loud. In her mind she could say it to herself, say that she was falling in love with him and that she wanted a life with him. But she couldn’t risk it. She didn’t want to have her heart broken again. The last time practically destroyed the ideology of love for her. Blinking her eyes she fought back her own tears, her lips parting to let out a soft shaky sigh. Before this she had never really thought about having kids but to have one ripped away from her was destroying. She didn’t even know if she could have any kids in the future. That was scary. Grabbing Steve’s head she made the man look at her. Wiping her thumbs against his cheek she shook her head. “No. No you aren’t Stevie.” She wouldn’t let him. What happened to her was awful and she wished she could go back in time to keep herself from going on the mission in the first place but they couldn’t change the past. “Killing him isn’t going to bring our baby back. Besides that isn’t the type of person you are, Steve. I don’t want you to do this and then become someone you aren’t.” When he moved to speak again she covered his mouth. She looked down at him and blinked. She missed him and it showed in her eyes if someone looked hard enough. She couldn’t let him hunt that man down. “I can’t lose you too.She whispered softly, dropping her hand and glancing at him. She needed Steve, needed him in her life. She just couldn’t admit it to herself. Her chest rose and fell softly. She needed some sort of comfort, they both did. It was for that reason that Adelaide bent down and pressed her lips against Steve’s lips, her hands clutching at his wet hoodie. She didn’t care that he was soaking wet, or that not to long ago they weren’t even on speaking terms. She just wanted him. The longer they kissed the more she wanted him. She felt the same spark she did the first time they had kissed.

    -- sure

Hadley had been dancing on the floor with Tony, letting herself be consumed by the lights and the music all around them. It seemed to wrap around her curvy body and help her move more feline-like. She rocked and rolled her hips, a bright smile on her face. She loved the feeling dancing gave her, how free she felt when she was dancing. Drinking and dancing with the man she saw a future with also helped. She giggled and teased Tony as they danced. After a while, they were both panting and he seemed ready for a break. He had pulled her close and had told her he was going to his private booth to grab them some drinks but that he would be back. Hadley had to admit, she was nervous to be left alone. She knew how guys were these days. But, she was also a super powered mutant. So then she decided she shouldn't be too worried about it. Hadley just nodded when Tony was done speaking and she watched him disappear into the crowd. She giggled after him and shook her head. She had truly been in bliss for these past months with Tony and he made her so happy. And while she wanted to sleep with him just as badly as she was sure he wanted to sleep with her, she wanted to see if he could truly be faithful and be fine with waiting. Hadley brushed those thoughts away and she sighed, throwing her head back. She let herself get lost in the music and she rolled her hips to the beat. She raised her hands above her head and a smile curled onto her lips. This happy moment was short when she felt hands on her hips. These hands were... rougher than Tony's and colder. They also seemed eerily familiar. Hadley hadn't had the time to turn around and give the creep a piece of her mind before his hands wandered up to her sides and gripped them roughly. She cried out in pain and then the man leaned forward and whispered in her ear. "You really thought you could get away from me?" A familiar voice barked in her ear and it made her blood run cold. She felt the tears well in her eyes and her heart thundered against her chest. She felt the lump in her throat get harder to swallow as her pink lips parted in shock. "Ricky..." Hadley said in a shuttering breath. Ricky laughed devilishly behind her and it made her wince at the painful memories behind his laugh. She cried out and flinched when he moved, gripping her arm tightly. It was enough to make her arm ache and she could already feel the bruises form. "You're mine. Now, don't make a scene. We're leaving." Ricky purred in her ear and sniffed her hair and Hadley cried softly, squeezing her eyes shut. She gulped and shakily exhaled. She knew that if she attempted to escape, Ricky wouldn't hesitate to hurt the people around them. And Hadley couldn't let that happen. Hadley let Ricky lead her off the dance floor, a pained look on her face as he squeezed tighter. She saw the club's exit in the distance and she knew once she walked out that door, all of her happiness would be gone again. Hadley felt Ricky full her to a halt and she whimpered in pain, looking up to see what had caused Ricky to stop.

"Tony!" Hadley said with a worried expression. The man she loved stood before her and her ex-boyfriend. He held two drinks in his hand but seeing the pain and worry in her eyes, he set them down at the bar slowly. She moved forward to go to Tony but Ricky grabbed her roughly and yanked her back behind him, causing her to stumble. She cried out in pain and her pain-filled blue eyes peeked out at Tony from behind Ricky. "So the little slut goes after billionaires now? Interesting. Now, move aside. This doesn't concern you." Ricky said with the same venom as a snake in his tone. He narrowed his eyes at the man, daring him to challenge him.

Steve looked up at Adelaide as she grasped his face in her small hands. He exhaled shakily as he felt her thumbs rub against his cheeks. He met her gaze as she spoke and he felt his lip quivering. He knew she was right. But he couldn't help but feel fury and the need to act on it. He had lost a child he hadn't even known existed. Steve shakily sobbed and shook his head. She spoke again and he knew her words were true. He wanted to kill the man, to make him suffer. But he would lose himself in it all. He wouldn't be himself again. Not after taking a life like that. Steve opened his mouth to speak again and she stopped him, placing her own hand over his mouth. He frowned deeply and looked up at her with a vulnerable gaze. He saw the look in her eyes. She missed him. And he missed her, so much he felt as if he could hardly breathe. Steve felt his body shaking from the sobs that had weakened his body but he wasn't able to put up his front anymore. He missed Adelaide. And he didn't care if she knew it. He wanted her to know it. He wanted a future with her. Children or not. When she spoke of not being able to lose him too, his gaze weakened and he seemed to melt. He looked at her with a loving gaze, the pain and loss still clear in his blue eyes. He stared deeply into her eyes and reached up gently to grasp the end of one of her dark curls. "You're so beautiful..." Steve spoke breathlessly. He dropped his hand from her hair as she dropped her hand from his face and he stared up at her as she stood up straight. He watched her, knowing how she must be going through so much but was afraid to let him in. Before he could speak, she had leaned back down. He expected her to investigate his hands once more but she clutched his wet hoodie. He frowned softly for a moment before their lips came crashing together. Steve blushed brightly but he welcomed the kiss, a single tear running down his cheek.

He kissed back, moving to stand. His bandaged hands moved to gently hold her waist and he leaned into the kiss more, his movements gentle and loving. He broke from the kiss for a moment to stare down at her, smiling softly at her beauty. He brushed a loose curl from her face before leaning back in to kiss her. His arms moved to wrap around her, pulling her body against his. She must've wanted this just as much as he did if she was willing to even kiss him again after how badly it had ended last time. But Steve knew and understood she had only done that because she had been hurt before. Which he could be patient with and let her take her time. He had plenty of time. He knew Adelaide was the one for him.

  • Adelaide Naomi Winston

Twenty Four | Shield Matter Manipulation | Feminine ♀| Kitsune | Single

When Steve moved to stand up Adelaide took a step back to give him more room. When he pulled away from this kiss she looked up at him through her lashes, her chest rising and falling a little faster than normal. This was so much different than their last time. They were taking their time this time unlike two months ago. Back then they had been rushing, a fury of lust and passion. She didn’t want to rush this time. The dark haired beauty wanted them to take their time and actually enjoy this moment. She didn’t want to push him away anymore. A part of her didn’t understand why Steve still wanted her after the way she had treated him only a few short months ago. The other part didn’t want to think about it. Sucking in a soft breath her hands moved to the bottom of the hoodie Steve was wearing. She hand slid under neath and she paused for a moment. Her sea blue eyes glanced up at the taller super human, silently asking if this was really what he wanted. Adelaide wouldn’t be mad if it wasn’t. She couldn’t blame him after the way she had been treating since their last night together. Still she wanted this and she hoped he did as well.

    Anthony ‘Tony’ Edward Stark

Thirty Eight | His Suit | Masculine ♂| Iron Man | Single

This night was one of the best nights Tony has had in a long time. He supposed that was just Hadley’s affect on him. The last time he had felt something like this was back when he was with Peggy. Not many women interested Tony enough to make him think about dating them but there was something different about Pepper and Hadley. It was probably because they both liked to challenge him. Though Pepper was his past, Hadley was his future. Unless him and Hadley stopped seeing each other for whatever reason -which he hoped didn’t happen- he could never see himself leaving her to go back to Pepper. Not if they would just end up in this same scenario. He couldn’t see Hadley being that type of person. They understood each other and were in the same type of lifestyle so she wouldn’t scared away like a normal civilian like Pepper would. Not that Pepper was ordinary. They may not together anymore but Tony would always care about the woman. She was the first woman he had ever genuinely loved but now he was learning to move on.

An hour into their time at the club Tony had left to get some booze from his private section of the bar. He didn’t think much about leaving Hadley on her own. She was a inhuman with kick ass powers. Tony trusted that she would be able to keep herself protected..or so he thought. When he was on his way back to Hadley, two cups of liquor in his grasp he ran into Hadley being dragged by some guy he had never seen before. Tony was blocking their exit at some point. The billionaire paused for a moment and looked at them. Whoever this guy was Tony could tell that he was trouble and Hadley was definitely not enjoying the way he was holding her. Not that anyone should be holding her but him. Taking in a deep breath Tony set their drinks down on to the counter near by him. Looks like they wouldn’t be having a peaceful and fun night out after all. What a shame. Clenching his fists softly he glared at the man in front of him. Now Tony knew that not everyone in the world was as rich as he was but that did not give this man the right to show up looking like he just picked out any random thing out of a garbage can. He wasn’t that good looking either. “See. This is my problem because that’s my girl your grabbing their, pal.” Even though Tony would do this even if he wasn’t seeing Hadley. No one should be treated like this. Taking a step forward, not an once of fear crossing the man’s face he stood in front of the abuser with a raised brow. “So I suggest you let her go before things get ugly for you.
