The kitten comment well beyond rubbed Violet the wrong way. She felt like throwing up. "Thanks," She replied, trying not to sound insincere. "I do like cats, so, yay." These words were weak but she did lift up her hands a bit for the last word.

Kisame was now beating himself up pretty hard over the comment. Why did he say that?? Was that weird? He didn't mean it to be weird. "Itachi found out some really crazy stuff about that place you went to. Turns out it's a real dangerous operation, almost cult like. Who knew?? It looks so cute on the outside." He rambled, trying to change the subject. "Well I just thought that was interesting.." He added, getting up from his seat. He felt the best move now was to just leave the poor girl alone.
-
"That makes a lot of sense, the people there were real creepy," She replied, watching Kisame as he stood with big eyes. She just felt so sad today, lonely too. That was a difficult feeling to fight among criminals.
-
Kisame frowned as he left, not liking what Violet had said. They were creepy to her? Poor girl..
now Violet was alone in the kitchen. Several hours were to pass, what would Violet do?
-
Violet decided to hide away again and read a poetry book. She snuck into the empty room she had used last time! Hopefully, with no trouble...
-
She was there for a while, all peaceful and alone, until Itachi showed up. He knocked before coming on however, something Violet would certainly appreciate.
-
Violet tilted her head and closed the book she had been reading, slipping a bookmark in between the pages quickly. "Itachi? Is there something I can help you with?"
-
Itachi slipped into the room, and looked at Violet with tired eyes. Had he gotten any rest? "We need to talk about the information we gathered, and get a report done for Pein." He explained, "If you're ready, you can follow me to a meeting room and we can begin."
-
Violet's stomach dropped. When would it end! "Yeah, I'm ready," she said, all shy. Dust, she wanted to be dust that you see in the light. To be illuminated and harmless and background.
-
Itachi could tell she was down.. but it wasn't his business. He refused to get invested. He walked off and went to a specific hallway, which had several more generally empty buildings. He went into a room which was obviously set up for meetings, with a large round table and cheap plastic chairs circling it. There were a lot stacked in the corner, and room had a stale, boring smell. There was a blank whiteboard on the wall to the right.
Itachi took a seat and on the table, he opened a folder that was placed there. "Alright, this will give you an idea on how to fill out mission reports as well." He began, waiting for her to sit before he continued.
-
Violet sat down beside him, thinking of everything that had happened on the mission last night. There would be a lot to write down, unfortunately.
-
Itachi turned his chair a bit, to face her slightly. The way a tutor might face their student in class. He explained the basics of filling out a report, and he used their most recent mission as an example. "Ok.. so let's start by putting down a summary. That's usually what I do first." As they went through the report, Itachi started telling her the things he had seen and heard. It painted a grim picture. The place was demented, inviting in young impressionable furries
andotherkin, doping them up and initiating sexual activity. They would force them into bizarre situations as a way to haze them, once these 'cats' earned their 'collars' they became part of the process. This could lead to drug sales, human trafficking, and slavery. The higher ups were rogue ninja mostly, and they operate globally under different covers. This was a small sect that tried something new, as.. usually they dont do the cat thing. .."Any questions?"
-
Violet was quite horrified by the reality of the place, though not surprised. Something was clearly off the minute you enter. "No questions, thank you," She answered softly, thinking of Bloria. Was she okay? Would she be okay? What an awful place.
-
Itachi sighed, looking over the notes. "We'll be taking action once Pein reviews this report. There's a lot of money in places like these. It's a big beast to fight however.." He finished putting papers away, and closed the folder. His eyes wandered back to Violet, he could tell there was a lot going on with her. He didn't know how to help. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to help. The teen pushed away from the table and stood up, folder in hand. "There's going to be a meeting soon, prepare yourself. You'll be speaking."
-
"What? Why?" Violet blurted frantically, horrified by the notion. Couldn't she catch a break for THREE full seconds.
-
"The meeting will begin with a short rundown of the information we've gathered, he'll want to know what you saw and what you did. It'll just be simple questions, you'll do fine. After that we'll start planning our next move, and you won't need to speak." Itachi explained calmly, hoping to ease Violet's mind at least a little bit. "Once you've done it a few times, it just becomes boring. Trust me." He added quietly, his tone kinder than usual. It broke character for him, but it was only for a moment.
-
This, this teasing, these glimpses of blood, the idea, oh the idea, that someone here could be nice- it was torture. It felt like smoke and mirrors. It made her feel weak too. Because that Itachi seemed sweet and last night he had been nice enough and they had exchanged thankful smiles among the party that dripped of ill intent. It was so easy for her to reconsider, if only for a moment, how she felt about any given member here. 'It's because I want them to be nice, that's the issue. I'm always looking for it,' she thought, sighing subconsciously.
"Okay, thank you, really," her voice was quiet and gentle, as if she feared putting too much pressure would make something break. She wanted to end nice, for once. It never did at this place.
-
Itachi felt like it was a good time to leave. He wordlessly went to the door, left it open for her, and went on his way. Now she was alone again.
-
Violet watched him leave, sat there for a moment, and then began to cry. She even went and shut the door, but still tried to keep her tears quiet.
-
She cried alone! The day went by normal. She had some time to heal luckily. It was the next day that was planned for the meeting. Violet was met with a surprise that morning...
when she left her room, she was greeted with the site of Kakuzu walking past her in the hallway. Glaring.. fists at his side.. the usual.
