  • Kakuzu's eyes fell on the cowering girl, brows furrowed into a look of anger as he listened. His hateful gaze shifted back to Tobi, who he was holding up by the scruff of his clothing. He held the man in the air for a moment like that, watching him squirm, but soon released his grip. Allowing the idiot to run off. As Tobi ran down the hall he hip-checked a few things and knocked them over. Kakuzu ignored that and looked at the two teenagers standing at his door. "He's trying to get me back for beating him with that crowbar.. just let him do as he pleases for now. There's a trap set inside for him." The man explained, motioning for the two to step back. "What do you need me for? Is it a mission?" He inquired, surprisingly calm. He was in a good mood, holding his box of organized cash.

    Deidara was relieved to not be in trouble, but stayed quiet so Violet could answer Kakuzu.

  • Violet swallowed hard, "That's exactly what it is," She concurred before stepping forward from behind Deidara and handing Kakuzu the mission sheet. Seeing him clam down, plus the fact that he hadn't yelled at her, made Violet feel much better. 'I guess Deidara was right. Be quiet, stay out of his way, don't act like Tobi in general, and things should be fine.' More and more she felt lucky for having the blond's help, it had made this place significantly less scary. 'I just hope he doesn't mind being my guide', she thought. It was hard for her to tell with him, sometimes he seemed fine but other times it seemed like he wanted her at arms length.

  • Kakuzu took the paper from the girl, scanning over it quickly. "Hmph.. Pein really thinks you can handle this?" He questioned, locking eyes with her. She was so small and fragile, still a child. He had been on similar missions countless times, he knew what it was like to repair damages from war. It was gruesome, the crying civilians, buildings up in flames, the eviscerated corpses, dead children.. it didn't seem like the sort of mission Violet should be going on, especially this early into her recruitment.

    Deidara watched Violet leave from her spot behind him, hardly suppressing a smile. It was so cute the way she did that, he felt bad seeing her afraid.. but it was a bittersweet thing. Like watching a cat cower in fear. It was adorable! BUT AT WHAT COST.

  • Violet blinked, unsure of his reason for doubt "Um, I guess he does?" She shifted nervously in place for a moment then said, "I've been medical relief before. It shouldn't be an issue." Though she wasn't sure what his concern about her doing the mission was, she figured it was her young age; he probably thought she wasn't well enough trained for that sort of situation. Despite how upsetting the leftovers of war were she was thankful to have a mission that allowed her to help people- because it was easily clear to anyone that the Akatsuki wasn't an organization centered around doing good yet this mission had pure intent. For every task she was given she had to wonder what the out reaching effects were. But saving lives was a never a bad thing. No worries, no doubts.

  • Kakuzu took her word for it. Maybe she was more hardened to the world's cruelties than he originally thought? "Fine then. Come get me in a few hours." He grumbled, handing back the paper and walking on into his room. He shut the door behind himself.

    Deidara exhaled, feeling calmer now that Kakuzu was gone. That guy put him on edge, he wanted nothing more than to impress the older member, always being careful not to be annoying in his presence. "Now that's done, seems like you've got some time to waste." He stated, walking on down the hallway. Seemed weird to hold a conversation right outside Kakuzu's door. Should he give Violet space? Or would she wanna waste some time with him? He wasn't sure.. he was pretty scared of looking clingy. It was cooler to be off on your own. "Well.. good luck on your mission, I can't wait to hear how it goes." He said, waving and turning off in the direction of his own room. It seemed like a good time to work on his art.

  • Kakuzu's cold reply frightened the girl a bit, every time she thought someone was half way concerned for her they would snap back to being harsh. Was she bringing out their soft side or was it just in her nature to ignore there rought edges? Either way, Violet didn't like the sudden change. And again disappointment hit when Deidara was fast to leave. She didn't like to be alone. Especially not after last night, the events were still haunting and lingering, and the moment she wasn't doing something was a moment too long for her to think. Waving back she wondered what to do as she entered her room.

    {sorry no plot}

  • Violet's entire body tensed and she hurried to move away from him. "I was just discussing a mission with Kakuzu," She mumbled, feeling sick at the sight of Orochimaru. Not only did he have strength and intelligence on her, he had height- his looming form further frightening her. "Please leave me be." It was a plea. Despite suspicious of him lying plaguing her mind, upon being face to face with him all that fire had burnt out.

  • The man knelt down, seeing her eye to eye. He reached closer and tucked a stray bundle of hair behind her ear. "Look who suddenly decided to be bold." He pointed out, softly laughing at her. He held her face still with his hand, slowly sticking out his long tongue to drag it across her cheek. "I hope we have a mission together tomorrow. I'm going to miss seeing you. Hopefully Kakuzu doesn't do anything unsavory and dirty you up." He mused quietly, now stepping back from Violet and rising to his full height once more. He was still smiling as he turned and walked away.

  • Terror. Violet felt absolute terror. Would Kakuzu try and hurt her? And whether he was nice or not, Orochimaru clearly wasn't going to be whenever she was forced to go on another outing with him. Once again, she didn't want to be alone but she didn't have the courage to reach out to Deidara; he hadn't seemed interested in spending more time with her. Ultimately, she wandered over to the sun room. Perhaps someone would be there and if not- it would be a quiet place Orochimaru was unlikely to look for her in. 'If I can't calm myself down soon maybe I will just bother Deidara anyway', she decided as she stepped into the room...

    {is zetsu photosynthesizing in there??? sorry you know I had to make that 2000s joke}

  • White Zetsu was in the sun room, lying on his back, naked. He had placed himself so the sun was shining onto his face and upper body. He had an ipod in his hand and earbuds in his ears, smiling pleasantly. He opened his eyes, easily noticing that Violet had entered. "Oh hello!" He greeted, pausing the tay tay mashup he was listening to. "Have you come to relax as well?" He asked, his kind smile showing a row of oddly square and spaced apart teeth.

  • Violet was dumbfounded by the sight before her. Zetsu... was naked? Such an upsetting thought made into reality. Though, they of course didn't have exactly normal human anatomy so there wasn't anything inappropriate to be seen. All the same, she felt uncomfortable. "Um, no, I just thought I heard something from inside this room," The young girl lied. They hadn't been wrong, she had come to relax, but she wanted an easy excuse to leave- otherwise she'd be expected to stay or at least it would obvious she was grossed out when she left. "So, what exactly are you doing?"

  • "Sunbathing!" Zetsu replied, "And listening to my tunes. I was actually thinking of taking this event outside to enjoy nature more closely. Would you like to join?" They asked, sitting up and pulling the earbuds out. They stood up onto their feet and watched Violet, waiting for an answer.

  • "No thank you," She answered politely, trying her best to seem nice and casual about the whole thing. 'It's perfectly normal for Zetsu to be naked? At least I think it is?' She reminded herself. They were being friendly but she felt too nervous, and, to be honest, socially exhausted, for that sort of event. Because keeping a conversation with a nude plant monster is an event, mind you! "I am glancing around is all." In all reality, Violet really wanted to see Tobi or Deidara again. For as odd as that seemed even to her, the two of them made this place bearable.

  • Zetsu shrugged and went off on their merry way, heading outdoors. Violet was once again left alone to do as she pleased! At least until her mission with Kakuzu. Would she go chill in her room or go somewhere else?

  • Violet watched them leave before turning and heading straight for her room. For a bit she felt okay, as she petted her cats and wrote- trying desperately to distract herself but being in that room inevitably reminded her of Orochimaru's cruelty, the fact that it would happen again, and of the possibility Kakuzu may treat her with the same harshness. The truth was she wanted comfort, which she couldn't get here, but Deidara was the closet thing... but it was likely he might be annoyed with her bothering him again.

    Luckily, an idea struck her. Within half an hour she snuck over to the boy's door and slipped a glittery note under it. All around it was simply a sweet note with some American candy, some that she had grabbed the day before while out, and an azelea flower.

  • Deidara had been relaxing in his room, devoting most of his free time to working with clay. He felt odd about all the time spent with Violet, he had a mix of emotions and wasn't sure how to tackle it.. He liked being kind to her, it came naturally. But it seemed lame to enjoy her company so much. He was here to create and destroy, not to buddy up with members and chit-chat the day away. It was a waste of time -

    he was in the middle of these thoughts when he heard some shuffling outside of his door. the boy turned to glare at the door, angry to be disrupted, but his brows shot up curiously when he noticed something slipped underneath the door. Deidara quickly moved over and picked up the note, turning it over in his hands carefully. It glittered, and there was something handwritten.. his eyes attentively scanned over the message, a smile forming itself on his face without his permission. What.. was this? A thank-you note? It was.. sickeningly sweet. It made his heart pound. He stared back at the door, thinking of the source of the note. There was no question about it, Violet had written this. She had even given him some American candies. He pocketed the treats, and sat down at his desk, reading the note over several more times. He was definitely going to keep it. Should he write one back? Should he thank her? Or was it supposed to just be an unspoken moment between the two? Something they'd be cool and quiet about? He had a lot of stuff to think about.

    SOME TIME HAD PASSED NOW

    and it was kakuzu o'clock

    The big scary tentacle man showed up at Violet's room, lazily but firmly knocking on the wood. "Are you ready to go yet?" He asked through the door, not intending to open it. "I'll be outside." He added before hearing any response. His footsteps could be heard heading away from her door.

  • Kakuzu's voice made Violet jump and dread settled in her at the impending task. Quickly, she made her way outside and met up with the tall, grizzly man. "I'm all ready," She offered softly, hand held up to alert him to her presence. They sparkled with glitter remnants.

  • Kakuzu didn't say anything in response, merely glancing at Violet to acknowledge her presence. His eyes easily spotted the glitter that sparkled on her hands. How.. did that happen? Was her skin always glittery? He didn't ask however, and continued on his way. "Am I.. not supposed to kill, when I'm in your presence?" He asked, wanting to be sure of how to act. He was prepared to protect her from any threats that came into contact with them, but was he only supposed to disarm and incapacitate?
